Bell stood nervous on this Autumn day in the Nike Plaza. He heard Ms. Eina's voice to his left and turned to see her walking up from across a busy street, "Bell!"

Bell was dressed in his black pants and long sleeve shirt. He wore his brown jacket which matched his belt and boots.

But, Ms. Eina was dressed in a breezy yellow summer dress. Her feet were dressed in a pair of medium heel open toe yellow shoes. Her glasses were probably in the small purse that hanged from her right wrist.

Bell blushed furiously as Eina bent forward looking over her charge. Bell couldn't help but look at the delicate flesh of her bosom. Nervous was the feeling filling his stomach like a three course meal.

Bell was inside the Goibniu Familia shop looking at various armor. One of the shops Smith's walked up. She had long brown hair and green eyes along with cow ears, horns, and tail. She wore a light wool sweater type top, a bell around her neck, a brown belt, a green skirt with a gold design, and brown and blue leggings. Her arms wore fingerless gloves of brown and blue that went up to elbows.

Eina noticed Bell trying to avoid looking at the rather buxom Cow Girl. She felt it was only fair to remind him that this was a date with her. She grabbed his arm and pulled his bicep to her bosom, "Now, Bell make sure you don't pick anything that will hinder your use of the Legendary Shield."

Bell sweatdropped as his cheeks grew red, "Huh, right."

The Smith spoke excitedly, "Ooooh! You're the new Hero?!"

She turned around and ran into the shop. Bell couldn't help but watch her run. His eyes corrupted by both his Goddess and Grandfather, 'A Hero has a Harem!'

The Smith came back and said forgetting her manners, "Oh, my name is Iris Bennett. Level 2 Smith of the Goibniu Familia, greatest Smith in Orario if I do say so myself."

Bell saw a shield she was carrying. It was copper in color and shaped like a sun. Having points around it, with a bull's head in the middle. A shield inspired by the Apis.

Iris presented the shield with a bow, "Please, take my Apisc. It would mean so much if you used it."

Bell nodded as he accepted the gift, "Uh, thank you."

The Legendary Shield's ruby glowed as it changed the Apisc into red energy and consumed it. A voice spoke in astonishment, "Oh my."

Bell looked past Iris to see a Half Dwarf maiden.

She had green eyes and long, red hair tied into a tail behind her head. She wore a short teal and brown top that exposed her stomach. Shorts of the same color with pouches attached clothed her shapely legs. A teal and pale blue cap with goggles rest on her head. A yellow ribbon tied her hair. And her gloves were teal and pale blue.

Bell pointed at Iris with a practically visible question mark above him, "I thought she was the best in Orario? How are you Level 2 and the best?"

Marco glared at her subordinate, "You gave him such an impression that you're the greatest Smith?"

Iris sweatdropped nervously, "Well you see..."

A commotion could be heard all across Orario that day.

Bell carried a crate of armor as he walked Ms. Eina home. Eina rested her check against his shoulder. The sun was setting and they were almost to Eina's apartment.

When they arrived Eina said to Bell, "I have a gift for you."

Bell replied to her, "I don't need a gift from you Ms. Eina. You've done so much for me."

Eina insisted as she presented the drop item Emerald Dragon Scale, "Bell, please for me?"

Bell nodded after looking into her eyes. He put down the crate and took the scale to his shield. The shield glowed and changed to a green support vambrace. It gave off a sheen that reminded Bell of Ms. Eina's eyes.

Bell walked through the Dungeon in front of Raphtalia. His new armor looked real well on him. Raphtalia had praised his cool look.

Raphtalia was garbbed in red and black dress, with a knee length skirt. She wore low thigh tall leather boots that were colored tan and brown. The colors and material matched her gloves. And were in similar design to her chest armor, looking like a left shoulder pad tank top that cut off at the midriff. On her waist was a brown leather belt carrying a short sword scabbard.

Bell was trying out his new shield, the Green Supporter. It melted the landform weapons the goblins and kobolds were using to attack with. Bell would then side step and Raphtalia would thrust her sword into the midsection of the opponent.

The Dungeon must have felt threatened by the duo as it began to crack at the walls. The Dungeon unleashed on it's sixth floor a special War Shadow. It had four arms and sickly pale green eyes. It's breath reeked with rot.

The variant swung it's arms as dark flames leaped from it's claws. Bell changed his shield and called to Raphtalia, "Behind me!"

Bell's shield was in it's normal defensive model. Taking the brunt of the attack. The flames that went around the pair landed on the dungeon wall. The flames would not extinguish.

Bell changed his shield again. This time it was the new shield Iris gave him, Apsic. Shaped like the sun, he felt a radiance from it. He threw it letting it spin into a golden fire. The brightness consumed the dungeon. Blinding all that set upon it their gaze.

Apsic struck the War Shadow straight in the head. The monster's blood sprayed the wall as the head rolled off to the side.

Raphtalia sighed in relief until she heard the body shake violently. She looked in terror as the monster grew back it's head. The maw let drip out silvery saliva.

The goblins and kobolds turned to run. Bell went into pulling back his right fist and putting his left elbow forward.

The War Shadow Variant was elbowed in the gut by the fast hero. His first went at the head of the monster. With it's fate in sight, the War Shadow tilted it's head to dodge the fist.

Bell grinned as his hand opened up. His punch was a bluff, as he went for his shield. The fingers brushed the tip of the shield's points changing it's shape to the Ember Torch Shield.

Bell spoke as he braced for impact, "Ember Bolt."

The shield let loose multiple bolts of hot ash fly from the ruby. They pelted the War Shadow's back. Burning it's flesh, letting the smell of burned monster fill the air. Bell felt multiple burns inflict him and gritted his teeth through the pain.

Raphtalia cried and bit onto her lip. Bell shouted to her for aid, "Go for the core, Raphtalia!"

Raphtalia gripped the hilt of her sword and charged. Her faith in Bell knew that he would not command her to run him through. Bell climbed onto the War Shadow with his left hand and feet. He hopped up and over the War Shadow. His fingers gone from the shield stopped the barrage of hot ash.

Raphtalia's sword sank into the chest meeting the magic stone. The burning monster began to crack all over as it slowly turned to stone. From the cracks broke out flame flames. The heat spewed forth on the monster's blood and coated the floor.

Bell fell to the side after he grabbed his shield from the wall. He slowly began to catch flame. Raphtalia panicked as she pulled out of her bag a High Recovery Potion. She doused him with the orange liquid, seeing the flames die down. And the burns begin to heal. Some of the orange liquid touched his shield changing it to an orange wrist-size bracelet style shield. It unleashed an orange aura that healed him slowly.

Bell opened his eyes as he saw one of the black flames still burning brightly. It's center being a dark blue gemstone, a unique Drop Item. One that would greatly boost his offensive capabilities.

He tapped his shield gemstone against it. Consuming it into his arsenal. The shield morphed into a black shield, with four claws coming out of the shield. Each with a black flame at the end of the claw. Bell changed the shield back to it's standard form. He regarded his partner in combat, "Thank you, Raphtalia."

The door closed as Aphrodite looked at Raphtalia and Eina. Bell was in a private quarters as he rested from his encounter with the War Shadow Variant. Aphrodite spook to Eina, "There might be a small problem."

Eina peaked her brow at this as Aphrodite spoke to her, "Bell has gained a very powerful Skill. One that may bring forth a War Game. From a very devious God."

Aphrodite provided the status update to Eina.

Rabbit's Foot - The racial skill that most Hume Bunny's have once bestowed with a Falna. This increases their battle prowess and speed. Their Agility greatly increases dramatically.

Superior Defense - The Shield Hero's Defense Stat will increase dramatically from every battle. The Shield Hero will also be able to have 3-I Defense as a baseline of each Level-up. The Shield Hero can only use a Shield.

Fire's Favor- increases all abilities when fighting fire-type monsters and fire type magic users, potentially making the user stronger than his actual level when fighting them. The user can use any Fire-type Magic that they've observed. Members of the user's Familia benefit by gaining Flame Enchantment, a skill that bathes their weapons in fire.

Equipment

Legendary Shield- This Shield gains unique properties and forms based on the Hero's experiences. The Shield Inventory shows the variety of forms that the shield can change into at the Hero's desire. These forms can use quick chant magic without adding to their Magic. Current Shield Magic: Ember Bolt.

Eina whispered as she saw in her mind the face of a God, "Fire's Favor. Then-Then..."

Raphtalia asked worried, "Goddess, what does this mean?"

Aphrodite replied coldly, "Apollo will be coming for Bell once he levels up and his skills are known to the public."

AN: So, I want to do a story where Bell is rescued by a Xenos instead of Aiz on the 5th floor.

I don't know if I want them to be Marie, Fear, Ray or Ranye. Or if I want to make an OC. Or include Monster Girls from Okayado's Monster Musume as Xenos, and just add one of them. I also might not write it myself and just Commission someone on Fiverr to do it. If that's the case. I'll announce their channel in one of my updates. And tell you the title and where to find it.
