It took two days, two days of his wandering in his thoughts before his feet brought him back to the settlement.
He circled it from a distance until he found a tree that gave him a perfect uninhibited view of the gardens belonging to the lord.
He could hear all the humans inside the shiro talking, their voices blending into a hum of background noise as he scented the wind. Unfortunately the position he had chosen may have given him a good view, but it was upwind and he had to focus more to try and scent her out.
