Castle, Haley and two officers from the Yonkers, New York precinct go under cover to investigate the murders of a lawyer and Bookie. One of those officers turns out to be Haley's ex husband from way back.

Continued series from On The Run, Castle and Hunt are asked to join in on a meeting in Chicago, the very same group having recruited Castle and Henry Jenkins during his missing two months.
