Another new story idea from me! It's Fem!Izuku (Izumi) of course but I'm undecided on any pairings

I got this idea from all the Deku learning under Miruko stuff as well as surprisingly from Kirishima and Tetsutetsu existing together as characters. You'll see what I mean and I 'hop' you like it.

Chapter 1: Hoppy to Help

*Hitoshi POV*

"Come on Hitoshi I'm sure it will be fine here." His mother said, trying to reassure him.

"Maybe until they learn what my quirk is..." He mumbled bitterly.

After the last case of bullying at his old school, Hitoshi's parents had decided that they would be transferring him into a different school. Alongside that they also decided to move a bit closer to Tokyo since his father worked in the city.

"Hey now," his mother whispered, pulling him into a tight hug, "we talked about this Hitoshi. No matter what all those other kids say you're going to be a fantastic hero."

Hitoshi hugged his mother back. He appreciated her support but at the same time his quirk was different from her and his father's. His mother could make someone more susceptible to suggestions but only through physical touch with both her hands. On the other hand, his father had a voice quirk that made it so people that heard his voice would always see his words clearly in their head. While both their quirks were considered invasive, his mother's more so, Hitoshi's 'Brainwash' took the cake.

His mother, rubbed his back gently, "There was actually another reason we moved closer to Tokyo as well." She admitted, confusing him. He looked at his mother patiently, what else had prompted them to move other than transferring school's and Dad's job? His mother gave him a smile, "Now you'll also have an easier commute to U.A. It's only a year away you know."

Hitoshi was a little shocked, he knew how much his parent's believed in him but this was U.A they were talking about! He looked down a little, "What if I don't get into the Hero Course?"

His mother chuckled, "Then you can apply for General Education and transfer up. Your father asked a few of his co-workers about it."

"Thank you..." Hitoshi replied softly.

"Of course. Now then how about we finish unpacking and greet our neighbors?" His mother offered cheerfully.

Hitoshi just nodded in response, he wasn't exactly looking forward to this but he'd do it for his parents.

-break-

Hitoshi had never been in a girl's room before. Well, considering his quirk, he had never been in anyone's room before.

He and his mother had gone to greet their new neighbor, a green haired woman named Midoriya Inko. The woman had promptly invited them inside and gifted them some sweets that she had been planning to bring over and had expressed that she had a daughter that was his age. Apparently the girl attended the junior high school that he would be going to and she said that her daughter, Izumi, would be happy to make another friend.

Suddenly, what seemed like a hurricane had swept through from the front door and dashed up the stairs. Mrs. Midoriya fretfully apologized, explaining that her daughter had a lot of energy before calling said daughter down to introduce herself.

Hitoshi could instantly tell what Izumi's quirk was. She was about 152 cm tall and had two lopped rabbit ears that went a little passed her chin, wide green eyes, a dusting of freckles, and a small straight fluffy tail. The girl had a rabbit quirk. She had greeted them and introduced herself enthusiastically.

The four of them, well mainly their mothers, had talked for a bit until Hitoshi had accidentally let it slip that he would be attending the same school as Izumi and was also aiming to go to U.A. The rabbit girl had frozen up for a moment before she dragged Hitoshi off to her room, much to the amusement of the older women. So now Hitoshi found himself sitting in Izumi's, she insisted he use her name, room while she showed off a set of notebooks with a ridiculous amount of details on quirks.

"By the way Hitoshi what's your quirk?" She asked, eyes gleaming in excitement.

Here it was, might as well get it over with now. "I can Brainwash people." He said flatly, staring straight at the girl.

Izumi's face lit up in wonder "Woah! How does it work! Wait can you try brainwashing me please?"

"What?!" Hitoshi exclaimed, doing a double take. Was this girl serious? Fine let's see if she can still be all happy go lucky after this.

"You really want me too?" Hitoshi questioned, readying his quirk.

"Yeah! Absol-" Izumi answered immediately, before suddenly cutting off under the trance of his quirk.

Hitoshi waited a moment, feeling a little bad about blindsiding her with his quirk, before he released his control.

"Wow! That's so cool! It was kinda like, sleep paralysis, or something? Like I could still think but my body wouldn't respond and my head felt fuzzy. That's so useful!" She spoke rapidly before descending into a muttering storm.

"Izumi...Izumi!" Hitoshi snapped his fingers trying to regain her attention.

The girl jumped a little and gave him a sheepish grin, "Sorry, I just get so excited when I learn about quirks."

"You don't think my quirk is weird, villainous?" He questioned.

"You don't think my quirk notes and mumbling is creepy." Izumi stated plainly.

"And how do you figure?"

"I'm a rabbit. Good instincts."

Izumi closed her notebook and leveled her gaze at him. "All Might could use his power to destroy a skyscraper if he wanted and Endeavor can incinerate things. Not your fault other people can't see all the good you can do with your quirk. So no, I don't think your quirk is weird or villainous. It's a great quirk for a hero and it's even more impressive that you want to be a hero despite being bullied for your quirk."

Dammit, Hitoshi was NOT gonna cry right now. Izumi got up and sat back to back with him. "I don't see anything and I'm too busy writing to hear anything." She said and Hitoshi heard the scratching of her pencil. He quickly wiped at his watering eyes, according to Izumi, he most definitely didn't cry.

-break-

The pair talked and talked for the next hour. Their favorite heroes, Izumi's was Miruko of course and Hitoshi's was Eraserhead. Hitoshi liked naps and cats, Izumi liked going for runs and drawing. Izumi said she'd also introduce him to her friends before school started and she assured him that they would definitely be cool with his quirk.

The two eventually returned downstairs and Hitoshi's mother glanced over to him with a knowing smile.

"Actually you can meet them tomorrow! The three of us usually go running since we're all aiming for the Hero Course and you should join us!" Izumi cheered, whipping out her phone to presumably text said friends.

"Sure, that sounds cool." Hitoshi agreed, he did need to work out more if he wanted to be a hero.

"Alright! Then I'll give you a call tomorrow!"

"Right, see you tomorrow then." Hitoshi nodded with a small smile.

Bidding the Midoriyas goodbye, Hitoshi and his mother returned back to their own house.

"I take it everything went better than you thought?" His mother asked playfully.

Hitoshi paused, a smile crawling onto his face, "Yeah, it did."

-break-

Hitoshi groaned, the light ringing of his phone having woken him up. What time even was it? Turning in his bed he reached for the offending object and looked at the caller ID. Midoriya Izumi. He reluctantly answered it.

"Izumi? What do you want? It's 5:30am." He yawned, what could she possibly want.

"Morning Hito! I told you I'd call!" The rabbit girl cheerfully spoke and Hitoshi had to hold the phone away from his ear. "Look out your window!"

Uh oh, this wasn't happening was it? Rolling out of bed, Hitoshi crept to his window and pushed aside the curtains. Down below standing in front of his house was Izumi. The girl was dressed in a cropped black athletic top with a Miruko track jacket, sleeves rolled up slightly and zipper half zipped showing off some of her impressive abs, compression leggings with a pair of running shorts over them and finally, a pair of far too red sneakers. Izumi waved up at him.

"We're wasting the day Hito! Get a move on drowsy!" She said through the phone before hanging up.

What had he gotten himself into?

-break-

Hitoshi tiredly followed along while Izumi merrily marched ahead, swinging her arms like a small child. "You know Izumi, I wasn't exactly expecting to be dragged out of my house so early in the morning." He complained, another yawn escaping his lips.

"Ah, come on! It's a perfectly good morning! Plus this is actually a late start, it's already 5:50 you know!" Izumi explained, her ears bouncing slightly with each step.

"You and your friends are usually out earlier?" He asked in disbelief.

Izumi laughed, hopping off one foot to spin around to face him, she continued on now walking backwards. "Nah just me. I usually get in at least a 30 minute run before I meet up with the others at 6am."

"How do you even have the energy for that?" Hitoshi wondered.

"It's my quirk mainly. I mean sure I was energetic before I got it but most rabbits need lots of activity and some more than others." Izumi answered, bouncing from one foot to the next.

"Are you a specific kind of rabbit then?" Hitoshi noted, if so he kind of wondered what rabbit Miruko was.

"Yup! I'm basically a human Holland Lop!" Izumi beamed, holding her ears outwards.

Hitoshi arched an eyebrow at the action. "Don't some rabbits dislike when their ears are touched?"

"Hmm, yeah definitely, but others don't mind it. Plus I'm still human you know. Sure my ears more sensitive and I don't like when they're touched when I don't want them to be but I like when my friends pet them." She answered. "Ooh speaking of friends, there they are! Heeey!" Izumi yelled, skipping off to the two figures.

Hitoshi jogged to catch up and quickly took in the two's looks. The first one he noticed was a tall boy with silver hair and strange things around his eyes. He was around 174cm in height making him just slightly shorter than Hitoshi who was 177cm. He was quite muscular and wore a simple v-neck shirt, a pair of sweat pants, and sneakers. He was loudly talking to Izumi and Hitoshi could see the rows of sharp teeth.

The other person was a girl who had a head of moss green hair somewhat similar to Izumi's, it was wavy were Izumi's was seemingly fluffier. She was around 158 cm tall, just slightly taller than Izumi and also had pointed teeth like the boy. Her dark green eyes were slightly upturned and she wore a simple blue tracksuit with a stegosaurus on the front of it. The girl caught a look at Hitoshi and waved.

"Hey you must be Izzy's neighbor! She told us a little about you the other day." The smiling girl stepped towards him and held out a hand.

"Ah, yeah I'm Shinsou Hitoshi. Nice to-" He abruptly stopped when he shook her hand and the whole thing came off from her wrist. Hitoshi just stared at the unattached hand that was still in his. He looked over to Izumi and the other boy for help. What was even happening?

The silver haired boy just busted out laughing, clutching at his gut and Izumi slapped a hand to her face. "Set...really?" the rabbit girl whined. "Hito you can just let go of her hand."

Not knowing what else to do, he simply followed her orders and was surprised when the hand floated in place before reattaching to the girl.

"Aw, come on Izzy that's my go to." She laughed. Turning back to Hitoshi she gave a playful grin, "Anyway I'm Tokage Setsuna. That was my quirk, I can split my body into pieces."

The silver haired boy who had been laughing recomposed himself and turned to Hitoshi. "I'm Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu. I can turn my body into steel!" He exclaimed loudly, pounding a fist to his chest. "It's nice to meet you! Let's workout hard!" Hitoshi was surrounded by super high energy people. How was he gonna last?

"I'm Shinsou Hitoshi, I moved next to Izumi just recently. I can brainwash people who respond to me." Hitoshi explained, doing his best to trust in Izumi's words about them not minding.

"That's pretty sweet isn't it?" Setsuna questioned, "It gets the job done without fuss I assume."

"It's no head on quirk but I guess that just means we gotta bulk you up, you're tall but kinda scrawny." Tetsutetsu said thoughtfully.

"Don't think too hard metalhead you'll hurt yourself." Setsuna teased.

"Ah shut it Set!" He shot back.

Hitoshi saw Izumi give him a thumbs up and a laugh bubbled out of his throat. "Thank you two."

Setsuna and Tetsutetsu looked at each other and then at Hitoshi and each gave him a toothy smile.

Izumi clapped her hands together, getting all their attention. "Well now that introductions are done how about we get going!"

"Hell Yeah!"

"Make sure you go easy on our new purple boy Izzy."

"I think I can handle it."

-break-

"What was that about handling it?" Setsuna poked playfully from her seat beside him.

"You...don't seem...much better." Hitoshi choked out, slumped onto a bench, wheezing and sweating like crazy. "I would like...to drop out...of the group now."

Setsuna laughed at him between her own heavy breaths. "Sorry, you're one of us now."

Tetsutetsu chugged from a water bottle before he joined in, "We'll get you in shape Hito. You may be dying right now but you gave it your best which was pretty damn manly!" He complimented, his own breath a bit run down.

"That over there doesn't make me feel better." Hitoshi puffed, pointing over to Izumi who was hopping about.

Tetsutetsu laughed a bit, "Yeah Izu is kinda a whole different breed."

"Good accidental pun metalhead." Setsuna cheered receiving a thumbs up from their steel friend.

"Well since we're kinda done with the run let's walk back and chat." Setsuna offered, getting nods from the boys. Hitoshi wasn't sure he was gonna get used to the sight of Setsuna detaching her head and sending it floating over to Izumi.

Izumi started walking back to them, Setsuna's head in her arms and the lizard loving girl had a wide smile on her face. "Izzy did you get bigger? I swear this is more comfortable than last time." Setsuna chirped.

Her face growing red, Izumi used one of her hands to pinch the girl's face. "I'll throw you in the river you know."

Having had her head returned to her body, Setsuna stood up before a mischievous smirk pulled onto her lips. "I guess that's one way to get me wet." Setsuna winked.

Tetsutetsu sighed, "Welcome to the team Hito. Sorry in advance."

Hitoshi watched Izumi chase after Setsuna, the splitting girl cackling madly. "I want a refund."

"Hmph me too bud, me too."

The two boys took off after them.

End Notes! I actually kinda free styled this chapter but I quite liked doing it!

First chapter was from Hitoshi's POV and as always I'll do my multi POV writing. I'm gonna try to be a little more group-centric than just Izumi but I suppose it'll mainly be Izumi.

Now then, did you know that Hitoshi, Tetsutetsu, and Setsuna are all canonically from Saitama Prefecture? Kaminari, Camie, and Midnight are also from there canonically as well but I ended up just making the group Hitoshi, Tetsu, Setsuna, and of course Izumi.

Now then for Izumi's quirk. With all the stuff about Miruko training Deku especially since they have similar styles (I mean if you side by side Miruko's Luna Fall and Deku's St. Louis smash they're the same kick) Izuku and Izumi being almost bunny like in some fics, I thought why not give her a rabbit quirk. Also I couldn't find if Miruko was based on a specific breed of rabbit but Izumi is based on a Holland Lop.

Another little supporting reason. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu have ridiculously similar quirks so I figured it'd be fine if I did the same with Miruko and Izumi.

All of the group is located in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture so they're all gonna go to school together. Gonna try and do a lot of just fun things between the group so it'll be a little less action-y. I also don't know if I'm gonna do any pairings. I'll think about it.

Anyways enjoy and look forward to more updates from me!
