Hello all!

I'm back as promised with a new chapter and a new part of the story and I have to say I'm falling in love with this more and more.

I hope you do too!

Do not be afraid, all is going just as planned! This is going to be the most complicated plot I've ever written but I hope it's exciting for you to read. And to make up for the long wait I've added a litte spicey stuff to this chapter, If you know what I mean *winks*

And ON WITH THE STORY!

Chapter 15 – Her new view aka „A new threat "

Bulma chewed her bottom lip as she sat in front of Mr. Sato and re-read the document he had presented her. It had been only a few hours since Yamcha had interrogated her before she had been summoned to the office of his boss. Really, it didn't matter how old they were or where they came from. Businessmen were all the same: egoistical bastards who only do things for their own profit.

"Why should I sign that?" she questioned as she eyed him angrily while the hands on her laps curled themselves into fists.

"It ensures our safety." Mr. Sato simply answered as he intertwined his fingers with each other.

"You could have just killed him and leave me the hell alone!"

"Mrs. Sai-"

"Briefs!" Bulma interrupted him. "My name is Briefs. I don't want to be called otherwise."

"Well then, Mrs. Briefs. I understand your anger, but you must understand me as well. My family has been tortured enough by him and I refuse to end things the way he would. I'm not a murderer. I'm a great believer that each person has a spark of goodness in him, I just hope he learns to find it. But if he doesn't, I'm protecting my family with this proposal."

"Goodness?!" Bulma laughed. "You can't be serious! He is someone who…who…" she had no idea what she wanted to say. Did she hate Vegeta? She did for all the bad things he had done to her. But she did not resent him as he had given her something she loved with her entire being before it was even born. The money he had given her was only a small token she appreciated. Not that she actually needed it. But he had thought of her, and she was grateful for that.

"I don't know what you've experienced with him, but I have to be sure you're no threat to us."

"But…this is my child!" Bulma automatically encircled her stomach. "It has nothing to do with him! Or you! Or Chichi!"

"And it still will continue to be your child. But it legally is his as well. So, it has something to do with him and us. This…" he pointed at the document, "just decides the future of us all if you go back to him."

"Why the heck should I do that?!" she hissed.

"Because he's your husband and the father of your child. It does not matter how much you hate him. The fact that he is connected to you remains. And shall the world crumble to the ground, you would go back to him. And the moment you do-"

"You're going to take it from me." Bulma's eyes wandered back to the paper in front of her. "I can read, Mr. Sato, I've understood the conditions quite well."

"I never presumed you wouldn't." Mr. Sato's wrinkly face smiled at her. Doing business was in his nature, it was only natural to ensure the safety of his family with a contract. And seeing how the blue-haired woman reached for the pencil pleased him immensely.

Finally, after all that had happened, his family was allowed to rest. Once this child was in his care there was nothing Vegeta could do to Chichi anymore.

Right before the pen could touch the sheet Bulma stopped in her tracks. "You know, you've said you wouldn't do things as Vegeta would. But just to enlighten you: Vegeta wanted to get Chichi pregnant and pressure you with your own great-grandchild. I don't really see any difference to what you're doing right now, do you?"

And with that she signed the contract with a swift motion of her hand, stood up and left a rather speechless Mr. Sato back.

Chichi observed the unfamiliar ceiling of her new "home" just like she did the previous nights, unable to find sleep. She was too afraid to dream. And everything seemed to happen way too quickly, she could not understand it at all. Had it really been ten days already when she had been saved? She closed her eyes and sighed. The movement did not hurt as much anymore as it did in the beginning. Her wounds were healing fine, and she was grateful that obviously no scares were going to be left on her face.

Well, no visible scares, that is.

Meeting her grandfather suddenly had been disturbing and she still was not used to have a stranger call her "his precious granddaughter" in public. Not that she had been outside ever since, she was banded from leaving the building. Not to mention that nobody was willing to tell her what had happened after her rescue. Nobody could – or more like not wanted to – tell her what had happened to Vegeta. Or Bulma. Or all the others.

It was nerve-wrecking and she searched for Goku's presence like a baby chick as he was the only thing she actually knew. Not that he was more talkative. She felt him evade her questions each time and it slowly made her rather angry. She had the feeling she was just back to stage one – when she first had met Goku.

Changing her position, she started to lay on her right side, her hands squishing her pillow into a comfortable bulb. She pouted as she watched the spikey haired man beside her snore lightly. Just why would he not tell her anything? It did not make her feel secure at all, this secretive behavior was shitty as hell! But she couldn't stay angry at him for long as she was used to him not telling her all in one go. Maybe he would, when he was ready for it. Or when he thought she was ready for it. Whatever, she would get her answers sooner or later. Probably sooner than later. As if she would just sit and wait!

Scooting near him, she searched his warmth and was welcomed by his arms which automatically encircled her back and pushed her further into his chest. He mumbled something incoherently and buried his nose in her hair.

She giggled lightly as her nose nuzzled his chest lovingly, forgotten her plan to squeeze the truth out of him eventually, for now. She never would have guessed he would be one to cuddle. He never had done so in the past, but he had started doing it ever since they both had finally found one another. And since she had started to sneak into his room and under his blankets without him knowing.

Let's just say he was not happy to find her beside him the first morning, when she still was supposed to be in the hospital-bed. Just remembering the doctor and anyone else – whoever it was – scolding her like a child afterwards was still making her furious. She had experienced enough and was tired to have other people tell her what she should or should not do.

How she had even found his room in the complex of the company was still her secret. As if she would tell him, she had secretively followed him through the whole building, simply clothed in pajamas and wrapped with her bandages, as bruised as she was. While others had looked at her rather surprised when spotting her, her very own hero had not noticed anything.

Chichi lifted her head and boldly kissed his chin and strong jaw as a wave of affection rushed through her. He hummed in discomfort as her lips probably tickled him and Chichi chuckled a little louder only to feel him shift his body into another position. She didn't even think about stopping as she felt rather brave right now.

It amazed even herself that she allowed herself to be this intimate with someone else after everything that had happened to her with Vegeta. But she felt safe with Goku, and she would give him her everything if he wanted her to. He could take her anytime; she didn't fear him or his touch or the things that happen between a man and a woman behind closed doors. He wasn't him or anybody else.

He was simply Goku.

And she loved him. Dearly.

Another kiss near his ear made him grunt rather loudly and his right hand landed on her face as if he wanted to shoo away a fly. Chichi used the opportunity to kiss the palm of his hand and nibble on his calloused skin lightly, not caring that the light slap had hurt her nose.

Ten seconds later he was awake.

"Chi….!" He sighed as he hid his eyes behind his arm. "What are you doing?"

"Waking you up?" she cutely asked as she leaned her chin on his chest while he lay on his back. When he laughed silently, she felt the vibrations. It was like the purring of a cat.

"You shouldn't even be here." Goku said as he squinted at her from under his arm.

Chichi shrugged her shoulders as she grinned at him. He had said that the first time and she still didn't care. She wasn't the girl he had met the first time anymore; she had matured, and she knew. She still was herself, but not the entirely same. "I want to be with you, is that prohibited?"

"Considering the fact that you're still healing, yes."

"I'm not a porcelain doll, so stop treating me like one. And I don't like being alone in my room…I can't sleep and whenever I do, I have nightmares." Chichi leaned her face in his hand as he caressed her cheek. Hearing the truth bothered him, but he wanted her to be honest about these things.

"Goku…when can we leave this place?"

It was still dark in the room but light enough to tell Chichi, Goku was making a weird face. "This is your home."

"It's not."

"Chichi…" Goku sighed as he lifted himself into a sitting position. Although Chichi hated the change, she obliged and got into a sitting position as well. "We've talked about it already. This is where your family is."

"Goku…" she mimicked his speaking manner. "We did talk about that, but I've also told you that I don't consider Mister Sato my family as I don't know him. You're my family. And I want to be where you are."

"But-!"

"When you're leaving, I'm coming with you. Don't even try to change my mind. I've refused to follow you once and it only ended in misery. I will not repeat the same mistake again." She crossed her arms and challenged him stubbornly.

"You don't know what you're talking about…" Goku closed his eyes in distress. "If you knew that- !" he almost bit his tongue as he realized he was just about to tell her things she shouldn't know for now.

"If I knew what?!" she leaned towards him, but he refused to explain further. Something like a little growl escaped her. "Why the heck is nobody willing to tell my anything? For god's sake, I've almost been raped right in front of your eyes! Yeah, the stuff that had happened was sick as fuck but it's in the past now! I'm alright, nothing really happened at all and now we're here. Together!"

"You can't treat the past as if it was nothing! You could have died!"

She massaged the root of her nose as if she was talking to a child although it was him who wanted to rub his face in frustration. "If I had known we were going to argue first thing in the middle of the night I wouldn't have woken you up at all…"

Before he could reply she continued talking in a softer tone. "Goku, I've learned that imaging a scenario that didn't happen does not change the present and it does not help you in anything. I've not died, I'm healthy and alright. Yeah, I'm suffering from it all as it robs me from a peaceful sleep but as long as I remain by your side I'm fine." She brought her arms around his neck as she hugged him gently, straddling him in the process. "And because all of this brought me closer to you, I'm willing to relive every little thing again. No matter how hard it was."

"You're sputtering nonsense..." he scolded her although he lovingly kissed her shoulder and lingered there longer than he should, enjoying the shudder that noticeably went through her body as he hugged her back. "Nobody should experience stuff like that."

"But it still happens. We're not the only ones experiencing such bad luck. I'm just glad having found you in all this mess. I consider myself rather lucky, to be honest. If you had refused me, maybe I wouldn't think so. But you didn't, so I'm grateful." She brought her face right in front of his and gazed at him confidently.

Goku had no idea where the young girl was who once had stood before his apartment door, lost and alone, only a couple of months ago. She was still right in front of him, but at the same time she wasn't. He had no idea where she got that strength from, but it made him grave her even more. Without another word he leaned forward and captured her lips with his, lightly intensifying the pressure as he felt her melt against his body instantly.

They had exchanged kisses whenever they were alone quite frequently, but Goku had tried to never cross a certain line. A quick peck here, a kiss that lingered a little longer there, but nothing more. He didn't want to pressure her, or rush things into a direction she wouldn't want. Little did he know that this was exactly what she wanted! What she had wanted way before!

He had no idea what it was this night, but he couldn't stop this urgent need to do more. His brain was on autopilot.

When she leaned back to break one of their heated kisses in order to catch her breath a little, the tip of his tongue suddenly teased her bottom lip with a soft lick. Chichi's heart fluttered excitedly and with a delighted hum she willingly parted her lips and let her fingers run freely though his hair to pull him towards her more as she felt him taste her very carefully. She still had not regained her breath, but she didn't care as she felt him explore her mouth gently. His teeth nibbled her lips and his tongue felt soft against her own whenever he evaded her mouth. She liked what he did, it was exciting and when she tried to mimic his actions, she heard him groan and felt his arms encircle her strongly. They were not in a rush, he did it awfully slowly. It was bitter-sweet.

And although this was still new to her, she enjoyed their unhasty sensual battle with each other as he patiently showed her how to do it. She felt and heard him exhale the air through his nose on her face. The noise they made as they kissed each other was somehow erotic and shot electrical waves through her. Probably every hair on her body was standing up now. It was a breathtaking experience.

Chichi knew that she felt aroused by it all. The feeling in her panties told her that much; her womanhood prickled as if it anticipated something incredibly sensual. She never had experienced something similar, and she realized that this was what had been missing when Vegeta had touched her.

Somehow, she was glad about it. It meant Goku was still her first in everything. She knew Vegeta never had taken her virginity, but he still had tried to take her.

As warm fingertips found an opening on her waist Chichi couldn't help but utter a moan which was swallowed by his hungry mouth. It didn't make him stop but intensified the fire in him. Goku changed the angle of his head and kissed her – if possible – more deeply than before as his hand wandered up the side of her torso, feeling the softness of her skin as well as her goosebumps, which let him shudder. Knowing he was the one making her feel good was turning him on greatly.

And then he felt the lower line of her breast. She did not wear a bra. His index finger was only a breath away from feeling her areola. Her erect nipple screamed at him to touch it; he vividly could imagine it. His member twitched.

He groaned again, his autopilot shutting itself off, and his rationality finally kicked back in.

He broke their intense kiss rather abruptly and took his hand back, leaving a red headed and dreamy-faced Chichi right in front of him. Her lips were swollen from his penetrations and still in a demanding "kiss-me" position; her still clothed vulva pressed itself rather (un-)comfortably against his grown need.

They had to stop this. Now!

With his last remaining willpower, he took his hand back and kissed her one time lovingly on her nose – a silent way to tell her that the passion they just had shared needed to be gone. Her sound of protest was cute but did not change his decision and he moved his pelvis away from her. This was too early for her, and he was adult enough to endure the pain.

Chichi on the other hand was so god damn ready for it all, she wanted to smack his head for stopping! Her body was badly filled with an unknown need, she had no idea where it came from! She wanted to be released from it, although she had no idea how to get this release at all! Why did he want to stop now?!

"Why are you stopping?" she breathed out her thoughts before she even realized she had whispered those words.

"I need to leave, early in the morning." Was all he said, hoping she would understand. He did want her, more than anything. But he didn't want to take her and then leave her while she was still asleep. He didn't want her to wake up in an empty bed afterwards.

Her mind was instantly sober, and her nails bored themselves into his upper arms. "Where are you going?"

"I need to see my boss." Goku smiled as he saw the fear in her eyes. "I just have to report back everything before getting a new assignment."

"I'm coming with-!" Goku silenced her with yet another quick peck on her lips. "You don't have to. I'm planning to come back in the evening. Don't worry."

"If you're lying to me, then…!" She had no idea what she wanted to pressure him with. Just the thought of being somewhere where he was not for just a minute was pure torture. Goku chuckled before he let himself fall back into the pillows bringing her with him. Kissing her forehead once they both where safely tucked under the covers of his bed again, he started a soothing caress on her back.

"I'll be back sooner than you think. Now try to sleep."

Chichi huffed under her breath as she tried to stay awake. But the way his hand circled on her back was calming her nerves more than she had imagined. And she finally was allowed to fall asleep without any disturbing dreams haunting her.

Vegeta sat in one corner of his cell – a bright white room with nothing in there except a simple bed and a pissoir. One wall was made out of glass, probably a double-glazed door, bullet- and escape-proofed. He was dressed in a light blue overall, barefoot and had a black collar around his neck. A device to hinder him from fleeing. If he tried to escape, it would send shock waves through his entire body, giving him muscle spasm like an epileptic. Vegeta was not keen to experience it. He was no idiot. He was humiliated enough with the way he was dressed and looked. Which was absolutely ridiculous, in his opinion. The wounds he had gotten from Bardock – or Goku, as he had learned – had been treated poorly and hurt like hell.

It did not matter that he obviously was filled with the thirst of revenge, anger and bloodlust. He wasn't dumb and he knew there was nothing much he could do right now. Alone.

The old man had visited him a few times, wanting to know Vegeta's ulterior motives all these years but the flamed-haired man refused to share his secrets with him. The other man, who was fully dressed behind a cloak and hid his identity had been with the elder each time. He was like a shadow ready to strike if Vegeta even thought about pointing one finger towards his master.

Vegeta knew people with an aura like his. Not that it would impress him.

Another man, just as bald as Nappa, who had introduced himself as Krillin had interrogated him a few times as well. He was the one telling him that nothing of his company was left. Media said after his "disappearance" a few days ago all his stocks had been sold and now the Sai Corp. was nothing more than history in the business world. Economy clocks were ticking quicker than other ones.

Bulma's whereabouts were unknown to Vegeta, but he guessed she was smart enough to get out of this alive. His most trusted subordinates were dead and the others who were still on the loose were eagerly searched by Sato's special force-team. No police were or would be involved. Not that it mattered.

When Vegeta wanted to know what had happened to Nappa, Krillin had only shaken his head. He obviously had tried to fight back. Unsuccessfully.

"Why are you keeping me alive? I've tried to hurt your daughter, rape your granddaughter and kill her, just as I've killed her father. I wanted to turn her into my puppet and use her against you before breaking you and her mentally completely. And you're willing to let me live within your own quarters. Rather masochistic, isn't it, old man?" Vegeta had smirked sarcastically while talking to Mr. Sato at his last visit. He could not understand such idiocy. Live or die, that's what all was about. Not that he ever had the need to presume to be on the dying-side. He was used to be the one deciding who remained living.

The old man had simply eyed him sadly. "I've not forgotten your actions until now, boy. True, killing you would be the appropriate course of action for most men. But I think simply ending your life would be much too human for the likes of you. You should use your remaining time on this earth to reflect on your sins. Think about the lives you've taken. Including the ones of your parents."

Vegeta's evil smirk then had quickly switched to a grimace and his hands had smacked the glass aggressively. "Don't you dare drag them into this!"

"They have been in this mess from the start. But you were too blind and too naïve to realize another method and simply followed your father's path of destruction. You should reminisce your past faults and learn for the better. Keep in mind that anything you do reflects on the ones you care for."

That was the last thing he had heard from the old man. Ever since their last conversation Vegeta was left alone, got two decent meals a day and that was it. He had no idea how long he already had been staying in his cell, but he had learned to be patient. He had a feeling something would happen. Something which he could use for his profit.

And using it to its fullest, he would.

Krillin sat on his chair as he massaged his sore neck with his hand. It was late in the evening and his wife had ordered him to get "his ass back home" just seconds ago via video-call. He was used to her bossy nature, it was the one thing that had attracted him to her years ago. He couldn't help but smile at the memory of their first encounter.

Oh, how she had hated him then!

But before he could indulge himself in happier memories a knock on his door brought his attention back to the present.

"Come in." he tiredly said and was glad it was a spikey-haired man who entered and not one of his subordinates. It meant he didn't have to hide his exhaustion. But seeing the serious expression on his friend's face let the alarm bells in his head ring. "What is it?"

"I've talked to Master Roshi today."

"You brought your reports to him personally?"

"I always do. That way I can check on him in the process. He sends you his regards, by the way."

"Well, thanks. But…why that long face then? Was something wrong?"

"Nope, the case of Vegeta is closed now. I've told him that he's under arrest and kept behind closed doors far away from everything. He was not entirely pleased but he didn't say anything against it."

"But…?" Krillin inclined his neck, not liking where this was going.

Goku sighed as he rubbed his neck uncomfortably with his left hand while he placed his right hand on his hip. "But he gave me another assignment in which the Sato Corp. is involved yet again. You know, I don't want to put Chichi into any more danger, but I'm starting to doubt your boss. I thought she was safer with him, but I'm not buying that anymore."

Krillin knew his master was successful doing business, but he knew also that business never was only about clean dealings. You had to play dirty, if you liked it or not. So, if this was another case of treason it was clear that not only other businesses, but the Sato Corp. were involved as well. But before he could say anything to Goku, his friend continued to talk.

"I can't tell you the details of my new assignment, I just wanted you to know that I'm on it. You're my friend and I don't want to lie to you. But I'm going to leave soon and I'm taking Chichi with me. I just want you to help me make Mr. Sato understand that I need her to leave with me. Can you do that?"

"Well, I can't promise…"

"Just tell me I can count on you in this. I don't want to use violence against your boss or you. Not that you would stand a chance against me anyway." Goku grinned boyishly as to soften the atmosphere a little. Krillin couldn't help but smile.

"I'm trying to do what I can. I just hope you can finish your assignment without actually really needing to kick my ass. I'm trying to find out what Mr. Sato has been doing these past years as well, maybe I can find something that helps you with your work."

"You don't need to do that."

Krillin waved with his hand as to ensure Goku it was alright. "That's what friends are for, right? I'm just glad you've finally found someone you want to protect. I was afraid you would die alone someday."

Goku shook his head before he left the office again. "You're exaggerating…"

The last thing he heard before closing the door was Krillin's chuckle. Now the only thing he needed to do was telling Chichi his decisions to leave. He basically could already see her radiant smile with his inner eye.

Not that he wasn't happy to have her with him, but there still was a spark of doubt somewhere in the back of his consciousness. He had hoped she would be out of any kind of danger from now on. But her grandfather was a successful businessman who had many connections. Connections to the wrong people it seemed.

Would they ever find peace?

Maybe it was time for him to stop doing his work after all…although he loved it. But when it meant Chichi was safe he would gladly stop what he was doing for a living.

But before he could think about another way life he needed to finish this task, if he liked it or not, and find out more about this Mr. Cell.

DunDunDuuuuun!

Yeah, that was it. That's where we're going. Something's about to happen!

Would be glad to recieve your opinions on this one! And don't worry, Bulma's coming back again as well as the others but I'm focusing on Chichi and Goku's relationship a little more in the next chapter.
