Chapter One

Determination

This chapter is just a starter chapter kind of the prelude so it's short but I promise a new one within the next few days! I love reviews hint hint )

Disclaimer….ya ya you know I didn't make any of this up except the current plot and actually I think I made the table up too cuz in the movie there were no tables….so I dunno but lol you know what I mean.

The days were short, left at Hogwarts, and everyone knew this to be true. No one riding the Hogwarts express wanted to admit that they were utterly terrified of things to come. Voldemort hadn't been seen since that tragic day at the Ministry and everyone wondered, Where was he and what was he planning? There were also the less terrifying questions on peoples minds, such as, where will I go after this and what will become of my life? But the one on Harry Potter's mind was quite different, Why can I never have the simple life? Why can't I have what I want most?

"Harry?" Hermione said with a tinge of worry in her voice, " What is on your mind?"

He stared her straight in the eyes and then turned away. "Everything," He thought silently, but her told her, "It's nothing."

In a sense, that was true. It was "nothing", so many thoughts racing through his mind, so many worries. They were all so tangled up together that they couldn't possibly be separated. They stayed in his mind in a pool of meaningful nothingness. Forever uninterperated but always in his thoughts.

"You're lying to me," she said knowingly as he stared out the window at the trees speed by.

He looked at her and smiled his best smile, " Don't worry about it Hermione, It's just, I mean, this is 7th year. It's going to be so hard to leave everything behind." He half-lied.

"Right…" Hermione said deciding not to push it further just yet.

"'Ello Mates!" Ron yelled as her burst through the compartment, breaking the silence that had formed between the two, "What'd I miss?" He sat down and tossed both of them chocolate frogs

"Nothing important," Hermione said shaking her head ever so slightly as she began to open hers.

Ron stuffed his in his mouth, "Oh, would ya look at that?" he said turning to Harry, " It's you Harry!" He gave the card to him.

Harry laughed, "Great," he said, "What's yours Hermione?"

"Cornealius Fudge," She replied.

"I've got a hundred of those already," Ron said, "How 'bout you Harry?"

Harry chuckled and shook his head, " I dunno," he said as he tore off the wrapper, but as soon as he saw the card his smile quickly faded. "Sirius Black," He read aloud with a hardened tone. Ron and Hermione exchanged nervous glances, " Killer of 13 pe-," Harry stopped, " Well I think we all know the rest," He said as he threw the card on the table. He got up and walked to the other side of the compartment. Ron looked away, but Hermione still started at the card.

"Uhhm…. Harry….I think you better look at this," She said

Harry turned back around and looked at the card on the table. Sirius Black's face slowly began to fade as words began to form, " Tread lightly Harry. He's coming for you." Harry read.

"Damn it!" He yelled as he pushed the card off the table and sunk down into the chair with his head in his hands.

Ron and Hermione looked at him and wondered if they should say something but then Harry spoke with such a harsh determined tone it struck them speechless, " He doesn't scare me," He said, "He won't get that satisfaction this time around."
