early 2036: millions of civilians in San-Francisco are killed when a North Korean nuclear missile strikes at the heart of the city. Dangerous radioactive dusts poison nearby towns and this event stuns the world.
mid 2036: US forces seize the capital of Pyongyang but 3 more missiles are launched. While 1 is intercepted. One strikes Denver, Colorado and the other destroys Anchorage, Alaska. The US economy is crippled by the attack but the war is over, for now.
late 2037: The new bio-fuel plant comes online and millions across Europe celebrate as diesel prices drop considerably.
early 2038: Russian officials sponsor GreenTech GES to build a new plant in Moscow and China reallocates funds to the company and agrees to help with the construction.
late 2038: Satisfied that the North Korean elements are all but destroyed, humanitarian aid arrives from Europe but Asian officials refuse to provide any aid.
mid 2042: German scientists successfully initiate sustainable nuclear fusion ate record-breaking temperatures and funding for the project is increased.
early 2044: CIA agents find disturbing evidence that Chiang-Guang-Huong, a Chinese weapons dealer was selling uranium to North Korea during the US-Korean conflict but his considerable power means he is not targeted for his purchase of US debt.
late 2044: Chinese official Chiang is injured in an attack, his daughter and wife are killed in an assassination attempt from unknown extremists.
early 2045: Using his considerable influence and believing the US ordered his assassination, Chiang ends Chinese purchase of US debt.
late 2045: US economic system collapses, the dollar plummets and the US military is unable to sustain itself.
mid 2046: The EU attempts to provide aid to the US but with it's economic system crippled the aid is too little.
late 2051: The first public fusion power plant is unveiled in Paris. Within weeks Chinese officials attempt to buy the design but are refused. The second plant is erected in New-York to help the refugees.
mid 2053: Russia and China agree to a strong military alliance and begin encroaching on other Asian countries.
late 2053: India joins the pact and several Chinese satellites orbit the US.
mid 2054: EU forces are stationed along the European border and African forces unite with them as they too are growing wary of the military presence.
late 2056: With no warning, Russian forces attack the EU and begin targeting military installations. Chinese landing ships start unloading thousands of troops along the north of San Francisco
early 2057: All worldwide forces are mobilised and the EU manage to push back Russian forces. In the US, Chinese tank divisions overrun most of the countries high-tech infrastructure.
late 2058: The first gram of antimatter is produced. Meanwhile, after bolstering European defence lines, Africa exchanges troops for the US for nuclear fusion technology.
early 2060: The Chinese have taken half the US. South America ignores the situation and thousands of US immigrants take to the eastern coast.
mid 2060: The stalemate between Russian and European forces continues, stretched from Estonia to Georgia
late 2061: Chinese air forces destroy Washington DC using Fuel Air Bombs and continue to encroach on the trapped civilians. The US population is now down to 15% of its total in 2018.
Late 2063: thousands of European naval vessels pick up stranded American civilians, similar to Dunkirk in world war II.
Early 2064: EU formally renames itself to the Systems Alliance after being joined by both the US and Africa.
Mid 2064: Russian forces begin to retreat and SA forces begin pushing back.
Late 2064: in a foul move, chinese military assets attack and destroy the fleet of civilian ships killing the survivors and wounding thousands of British civilians.
Mid 2065: in exchange for fusion technology russia recedes from the war. China blockades Britain.
Late 2065: several experimental subspace fields are developed. First ship-to-ship rail gun and energy weapons are deployed.

Mid 2069: to prevent a split again, the government's agree to strengthen the SA and start funding of more peaceful scientific projects.
Late 2069: The first synthesised voice is created at a lab in Moscow. The CSA and ESA begin construction of the Mars lander.

Mid 2076: formally named Nikolai Tesla, the first AI is uploaded to the Ares project to facilitate management.
Late 2078: Tesla, along with 24 other scientists and engineers. Land on Mars. The base is constructed within a cave system to protect against solar radiation.
Mid 2079: The ESA and CSA agree with Russia and the US to join the System Alliance. This is to help work on the first warp drives.
Late 2079: global relations are at an all time record. Most US cities are rebuilt and China continues to buy US debt.
Mid 2080: ruins are discovered within the caves below mars. Research shows these ruins belonged to a long extinct race known as the protheans.
Late 2080: Element zero is discovered. Many blueprints for advanced FTL drives are discovered within the protean ruins.
Early 2081: realising the possibility of alien life, the unpredictable nature do organics, and the data recovered within the archives. Scientists ignore the possibility of element zero drives as they could be exploited by other alien lifeforms.
Late 2081: the SSV Moscow is launched. This craft is the first to contain the new alcubierre warp drive. It successfully reaches Mars within minutes.
Mid 2082: the Charon mass relay is discovered. Believing that it could be utilised as a backdoor into the Sol system, authorities refuse to activate it.
Late 2084: the SSV Moscow makes the first trip to alpha centauri. The 4 hour journey reveals a habitable planet within its zone.
Early 2085: probes dispatched to this new planet reveal the first of real Alien life.

Mid 2095: SA colony count reaches 6 as multiple new worlds are found within systems beyond alpha centauri. 3 of which contain mass relays.
Late 2095: AI become official citizens of the SA and are given equality. Many serve within the military in the form of mobile platforms and within the ships themselves. The first kinetic barriers are tested.
Mid 2096: the three outer colonies, Eden prime, Horizon and Benning split from the Alliance forming an adversary. All alliance warships are outfitted with kinetic shielding.
Late 2096: Military ship production is ramped and the first dreadnought is produced. The 2500m long Everest class with new shielding.
Mid 2098: the first battle of the local wars begin. The use of AI on board warships is shown as a single flotilla of cruisers destroys 3 enemy battle cruisers and 58 corvettes.
Late 2099: The colony of New Petesburg is evacuated as an enemy fleet of cruisers bears down on the system.
Early 2100: the civilian ships are near obliterated by enemy forces and an Alliance battleship is destroyed by insurgents.
Late 2100: Testing begins on new Ion Torpedoes designed to short out enemy shielding and ships. The weapons are developed for the hyper fortress class bomber. Construction of a new class of shop, the fleet carrier, begins.
Early 2101: The battle of St Petesburg begins. It starts as a group of resistance fighters in the colony destroy a Republic military base.
Mid 2101: 3 fleets of multiple ships (including 3 everest class dreadnoughts engage the defending fleet).
Late 2101: the battle of new St Petesburg is concluded with the Republic losing as much as 2000 men for every 20 alliance personell killed.
Mid 2102: Precision strikes on Benning and Eden Prime retake the colonies and the strike republic fleet is called back to Horizon.
Late 2103: The SSV Invincible Faith is completed. The Olympics Mons class fleet carrier is 4.5km long and hosts nearly 800 fighters, 300 gunships and 500 bombers.
Early 2104: 80% of all military shops are called to Benning. They prepare for an attack on Horizon.
Mid 2104: the battle of horizon begins. The fleet jumps in and deploys its trike craft which overrun the point defence and strike craft capabilities.
Late 2105: the Republic Fleet is destroyed. An enemy dreadnought is captured and ground troops prepare to assault the 2 million strong colony.
Early 2106: 450 gunships, escorted by 1000 fighters and 600 bombers preemptively strike at military targets.
Late 2106: the final stronghold is assaulted and destroyed. All resistance is quelled and the war is over, but at the cost of nearly 1,500,000 humans and 25,000 synthetics on the alliance side.
Mid 2110: Plans for the Jupiter class superdreadnought are announced however most of the schematics and technology are kept secret. The Alliance also plans to produce three Goliath class Cargo Packers which are 3500m in length.
Late 2254: Mindoir, a colony on the outer rim is attacked by slavers and nearly everyone is killed or captured except a 9 year old boy. Still unconscious with his dead family nearby.
Mid 2265: The SSV Titan is deployed. As the flagship of the first fleet the mighty behemoth boasts 2 massive UHAC mass driver cannons, and numerous other weapons on a 10km long ship.
Late 2266: The SR1 normandy is deployed. As a top secret stealth project, the destroyer sized ship hosts new javelin torpedo systems and both an internal emmission sink and the most advanced active camoglauge.
Mid 2275: Pirates hit Elysium colony and kill numerous civilians. Alliance N7 Commando Markus Shepard manages to destroy the attacking force and earns the Star of Terra.
