Author's Notes:
This is my first fanfic so I appreciate some tips, and some comments about my writing the more honest the better if its bad say it's really bad I want to improve constructive criticism helps even if it hurts because I don't know how to gauge my writing skill but anyways thanks to those who will read my story this is an idea that popped up after rewatching Code Geass for the fifth time in my whole life. Updates will not be scheduled but I'll update whenever I can so anyhow on with the show.

"Where…. am I?" Nunnally said as she stands over a green meadow with the sky shining like a sunset over the flowers. 'it looks beautiful' she thought
*Think of the sky in sword of akasha
"Nunnally" a person behind her calls out, Nunnally couldn't hold back her tears as she realizes who was behind her. "Big brother..." she whispers out while turning around. Lelouch walks toward her and hugs her in an embrace. "... It's really you" she said while sobbing. "I'm here" he said while rubbing circles on her back to comfort her.
"I thought I wouldn't see you again" she said while in his arms with tears still flowing from her eyes.
"Am I really here or am I just your imagination?" Lelouch asks with a sudden change in his voice standing up while letting go of Nunnally and turns around. "Besides why would I return to you, the sister who BETRAYED her brother, the brother that would give anything for her, chose the lying bastard Schneizel over him, and pushed him away to DIE at the hand of his friend!"
"No that isn't…. that's not true, please don't go! I missed you, please don't leave me" Nunnally pleads to Lelouch while he walks away after his outburst. The memories of the past flowing through her mind as she remembers each and every one.
As he turns around to face her again the sky darkens in a red sinister hue showing his bloodstained clothes when he died at the hands of zero he points to her and says "Im dead... because YOU betrayed me!, YOU BETRAYED ME NUNALLY!" he repeats again and again then suddenly out of nowhere hundreds of people dressed as zero appeared taking him away.
"No no no no no..." Nunnally repeats over and over while she covers her mouth.
While she was shocked the zeroes also pushed her away then they unsheathed their swords and rushed towards Lelouch "YOU BETRAYED ME!" he repeats over and over while being stabbed by multiple swords.
"Stop it, stop it please" she repeats with both hands reaching out towards Lelouch as she is pushed away by the multitude of zeroes as Lelouch is being stabbed.
"STOPPPPP!" she screams.
...
"STOPPPPP" Nunnally screams out as she wakes up from the dream with sweat pouring down her face with one arm reaching out. 'STOPPPPPP' Zero(Suzaku) hears and kicks open the door gun in hand in his zero costume as he quickly checks the room for hostiles left to right seeing none he says while breathing a sigh of relief "Nunnally are you alright, you scared me there I heard you screaming in the corridor I thought somebody was trying to kill you" he holsters his gun, removes the mask and walks towards her sitting down on her bedside
"It's alright Suzaku it was just a nightmare, I'm... fine" Nunnally said while putting herself up the bed composing her thoughts from the nightmare.
"You're not fine I can see it's bothering you, if you want to talk about it you can talk with me I'm not forcing you to open up and talk about what the dream was but if you need someone to talk to I'm right here" Suzaku said while putting his hand on her shoulder.
"It was about Lelouch, he said that I betrayed him that he died because I betrayed him" Nunnally said with a crack in her voice "and the worst part is that it's true, I should have been by his side" sobbing with her hands at her shoulders.
"You know that's not true he wouldn't say that, he thought of you even in his last moments Nunnally if he were here right now he would still forgive you because that is the friend who I know who loves his sister very much" Suzaku says as he embraces her to calm her down while a lone tear runs down his face.
"I miss him so much Suzu, I thought I can already move on with the world my brother gave to me but I just want him beside me is that so selfish of me" she continues to cry out in Suzaku's embrace. "It's okay to be selfish sometimes we can't help other people unless we help ourselves, I miss him too you know" he said which gives the right effect as it calms her down.
Nunnally leans back unto the bed wiping her tears with the sleeves of her nightdress "Thank you Suzaku" she said with puffy red eyes. "Don't thank me, I don't have the right... because I'm also at fault" he said looking down on his hands. They both went silent, at that moment which felt like years passed in those few seconds.
"Why were you in the hallway" Nunnally asks trying to change the subject. "Oh right, a letter came for you it was in my room" he said taking it out of his pocket handing it over to her. "it looks like any other letter what's important about it?" puzzled at the ordinary looking letter she received. "Look at the stamp" pointed out by Suzaku as they look over the letter
Looking it over indeed the letter looked ordinary with the usual white color and rectangular shape of the envelope what caught the eye of the young empress was the stamp: it had a geass with a king chess piece behind it.
"Who sent this?" she asks while looking it over again. "There's no name and return address it was just addressed to you, I also have one and get this its not addressed to zero but Suzaku kururugi which means somebody knows I'm alive" Suzaku pulls out another identical letter from his pocket with the same stamp.
"Somebody might have snuck in here if it went through security they would have thrown me in a cell for execution already, the question is who broke in here" Suzaku ponders on how and who sent these letters with information that may break the current peace after the reign of the demon emperor.
"Have you opened it yet?" she asks with a determined look in her eyes filled with curiosity. "I was waiting to open it with you, we need to find out who sent this, this person knows I'm alive there's not telling what they'll do with that information" Suzaku says as he stands up. "Let's open it, this letter may shed some answers, pass me the opener" Nunnally said with a newfound determination they both share a look of understanding and Suzaku gives her the opener.
They both open their respective letters and proceed to read its contents
Nunnally's letter:
Empress Nunnally,
This letter is to tell you that the truth that you seek and the wish that you want can be granted, it can even give you the normal life that you wanted with your brother and I am not threatening you. This also gives you a chance to reconcile your feelings towards your choices and your brother's choices as well in his crusade. With this letter there is a chess piece included in the envelope, if you want to know the truth and have your wish granted assemble the pieces, form the chessboard with that everything will be known, and the path to new beginnings. Truth is past, reconciliation is now, and forgiveness is the future.

Suzaku's letter:
Zero or should I say Suzaku Kururugi,
I am not writing this to threaten you but to give you a chance of redemption. That truth that you seek and wish of a new life can be given, the life that she wanted for you. This is me giving you another chance to right the wrongs with a new beginning starting by knowing the truth, that honors, your friend and the woman you loved, their wishes. This is my offer for you to start all over again maybe find love again along the way hehe. With this letter there is a chess piece included in this envelope, if you want to know the truth and have your wish granted assemble the pieces and form the chessboard with that everything will be known. Truth is past, reconciliation is now, and forgiveness is the future.

They both put down the letter at the exact same time "was it about a wish?" they ask in unison while looking at the other seriously. Embarrassed at their blunder they both turn their heads to the side with a tinge of red on their cheeks.
"It was my wish to be with my brother and learn the truth behind everything for closure" Nunnally says while looking down "For me it was honoring my promise to Lelouch and Euphy..." Suzaku pauses and then the tears fall as he remembers Euphemia's last words "...I actually broke my promise to her, she wanted me to attend school and make friends in her place but... WHAT DID I DO, fight and destroy people's lives believing in my own delusional naivety" He said while breaking down with more tears streaming down his face. 'Do I even deserve this chance to start over' he thinks while calming down and says "I'm sorry about that".
Nunnally now puts her hand on his shoulder "Suzu I'm also here for you ok" she said to reassure him from his breakdown. "I was the one supposed to be calming you down from your nightmare but here I am being the one breaking down" he pauses and they both laugh at the their situation on oh how the tables have turned Suzaku.
"We need to assemble these pieces who do you think got them besides us? " Suzaku asks while he stands up and paces about the room and continues " if this gets into the wrong hands everything done will be for nothing, we need to get them first". Nunnally cuts him off "That's highly unlikely Suzu didn't the person tell you that he or she is not threatening us, if they wanted to they could have already have gone and done it since they already know, and they wouldn't be talking about giving us a chance if they didn't want to help us" she points out to the still skeptical Suzaku standing in front of her bed.
"And yes I do have an Idea on who might have them in hand" Nunnally says with a knowing smile on her face.

Transport heading towards the palace
'What could that letter mean could it be another threat from geass, how can they clear Euphy's name, and why was Nunnally given one as well, Is it just another lie besides what do they know about Euphy how dare they!' Cornelia thinks as her face scrunched up in anger as she grips the armrest forcefully in the passenger bay of the VTOL.
A hand covers her own that is gripping the armrest. "Princess what's bothering you" Guilford asks with a look of concern on his face also thinking about the letter that was given to him as well.
"Its nothing Guilford, just thinking about the letter" she replies as it calms her down from the touch of her knight, comrade in arms, and lover. 'I can' t let it get to me besides I too want to know why my half-brother became what he was if only I found them earlier then maybe just maybe... he wouldn't have done everything' as she continues her line of thought as they land in the palace at pendragon
'It's time to find out what these letters mean' they both think as they climb down the transport.
Later
Palace Hallway
'Lelouch what did I truly mean to you, why did you bear it all yourself' Kallen thinks deeply as she walks with Tamaki beside her. "Kallen, OI! Kallen" Tamaki repeats as he snaps his fingers in front of her face while she's stuck in her train of thought. "Sorry, I was just thinking" she replies as she was broken out of her reverie. "Do you believe in the letter" he asks as they walk toward the war room for the meeting.
"You're actually being serious never thought I see the day" she says teasingly towards him. "Hey! I can be serious too you know" Tamaki barks back at her as she laughs at him. "but, yeah I believe it to a point but not fully, a promise like that doesn't exist I mean can you fix what happened, we've been betrayed and Tamaki, I'm not going to believe immediately on something that's too good to be true" after she replied they both come to a collective silence remembering their experiences of past events in code geass.
They turn the corner and see Ohgi and his wife Villetta walking towards the door to the war room. "Ohgi!" they both call out standing in the hallway as they walk towards the door as well. "Coach Villetta" Kallen greets her as she remembers her time in Ashford as a teacher. "Kallen, it's good to see you" she replies with a warm smile on her face.
"Do you guys also have a piece?" Ohgi asks as he brings out a black rook chess piece from his pocket. "we do" Tamaki replied as he and Kallen bring out their own chess pieces, a rook for Tamaki and a knight for Kallen, Villetta also brings out her chess piece a white pawn.
They all share a look of understanding. "Shall we" Ohgi says as he points towards the door. They open the doors Ohgi and Villetta arm in arm with Kallen and Tamaki in tow. They see people they know friends, comrades, and old enemies.

Earlier
War Room
*after they went down the transport
'The Knights of the Round!' Cornelia was surprised that 2 members of the Knights of the round were here. "Your highness" both of them greet her one knee on the floor. "Sir Weinberg, Lady Alstreim please rise" Cornelia replies. "What brings you here?" she asks interested in why they were also called upon like her and members of the UFN.
Gino and Anya retrieve their respective pieces from their pockets a rook each. "I think this is the reason your highness" Gino replies for both of them since Anya is Anya. "Both of you were also given pieces?" Guilford said, confused. "Yes, Lord Guilford we received the letters in our quarters from nowhere almost like magic" Gino answers bearing the same confusion. "Why do you think you were given this letter and chess piece? '' Cornelia also asks, confused in their situation.
"honestly your highness I'm just curious on what it said, knowing the truth behind the late emperor's actions, and starting over again sounds like a trap but if this person knew something that we only knew they would have hurt us already with it so I'll give this G person the benefit of the doubt" Gino replies with a bright smile on his face. "How about you Lady Alstreim" Cornelia asks, taking into account Gino's answer about giving this person the benefit of the doubt because she too wanted to know what really happened to start over again. "I was just interested, your highness" Anya answers with her usual cold expression.
"Well I think all of us want to know what really happened, what my late brother really was, what pushed him, and it eats away at you knowing that if only you could change what happened but enough of that we need to move on" Cornelia replies hopeful of what is to come answering a lot of questions and doubt eating away at the back of their minds after the events of the anime. "Well then we'll take our seats now" "Your Highness" Gino replies first taking their leave bowing with Anya.
"Ms. Croomy!" Nina calls out as she sees Cecile when entering the war room. "Nina it's been too long how have you been" she replies to Nina with a smile happy that she met her fellow junior again after everything that happened with the FLEIJAs and Nina's breakdown because of how many people died because of her creation.
"I'm fine" Nina answers although with a slightly flat tone. "Nina are you really fine honestly" Cecile asks grabbing both Nina's hands and covering them with hers she knows how much it weighed on her conscience the death of millions of people that's something you don't just forget. "I'm getting better, It's because of my friends, you, and Dr. Lloyd that pushed me forward after everything, and thank you for everything Ms. Croomy" Nina replies with newfound brightness after the tough months this past year thinking about Lelouch's plan and moving on with life. "So you finally made your choice" Lloyd cuts in in typical fashion with his trademark mischievous smile.
"I decided I want to continue with giving my life to science so that nobody will ever do a mistake or create something that destroys like I did" Nina replies remembering Lloyd's words as she was watching the damage the FLEIJA did on Tokyo back on the Damocles about choosing to throw away science or give her life to it.
"So why were we called in by Her Majesty?" Nina asks confused about their situation remembering the letter and the chess piece in her pocket. "Well I think we all know why it's because of this" Lloyd and Cecile bring out their pieces each a white bishop in their hands. "You also got one" Nina said, surprised that her senior colleagues also received chess pieces and a letter. "Well I want to know what this person means by the truth and forgiveness doesn't it make you curious" Lloyd replies too excited earning him a glare from Cecile being too rowdy in her majesty's presence calming him down. "Well I think we should take our seats now it's been good seeing you again Nina'' Cecile replies and hugs Nina taking their leave to take their seats.
Now
War room
"Kallen" "Coach Villetta" Milly and Rivalz call out with Nina beside them in the large war room. The Japanese and Chinese plus Rakshata, Villetta, and Jeremiah are on one side and Britannians plus Kallen in another with Nunnally in the middle at the end with Suzaku as zero beside her.
Japanese side: Ohgi, Villetta, Tamaki, Tohdoh, Chiba, Sayoko, Jeremiah, Rakshata, Kaguya, Xingke, Tianzi,
Britannian side: Cornelia, Guilford, Lloyd, Cecile, Gino, Anya, Milly, Rivalz, Nina, Kallen
She sits beside Milly and asks "You guys are here too?" as she looks at the 3 of them with a confused look on her face. "Yeah we do" Milly replies and in typical Milly fashion she says "CHESS!" while bringing out her black pawn, Rivalz and Nina with their white pawns. "I missed those spells of yours Pres" Kallen says with a smile while remembering the time when Milly was still the president of the student council in Ashford.
"Soo, how's Rivalz doing as president?" Milly asks but as Kallen was about to answer they were cut off by Nunnally. "Since everyone is already here, we can start with why I called all of you here" the whole room turned silent awaiting the answer and pondered with the same question in their minds 'can it be true?'
As they thought about it Nunnally and Zero(Suzaku) brings out their own chess pieces, a black king and white knight piece. "I called you all here today because I believe each one of you received a letter with the promise of revealing the truth and forgiveness, I was not the one that sent that letter I can reassure you but in order to see if you are to be trusted with this information please bring out your pieces" Everybody proceeds to bring out their own chess pieces to confirm whether or not they are part of this situation.

"Since I have confirmed that everyone has a piece did any of you receive a chessboard?" she asks but everybody shook their heads confirming that no one had one since no one had no chessboard the thought running through their heads was how would they complete the chessboard if they were not given one in the first place. Since the letter was trying to give them a chance to see the truth and start over they were given one answer to the first question they have right now that would give them more questions and answers down the line.
A soldier barges in the room and salutes "Your highness, something unusual came for you with a note its safe but we don't know what the note means so maybe you can understand what it means" the soldier said. "Did you know who and where it came from?" Cornelia asks also concerned for her sister and curious to know what the answer behind the letters mean.
"No your highness, its unusual because there are no details whatsoever that points out where it came from so we suspected it maybe something harmful that can kill the empress but we thoroughly checked it and it was just a regular wooden chessboard and an incomplete number of pieces, with a note from somebody who calls himself -G" the soldier replies and everybody turned their heads at that statement a chessboard from the same person who sent the letters. The chessboard that they needed and was talking about moments ago, that seemed too convenient for timing somebody knew that all of them were going to be here at that moment.
"Bring it here" Nunnally orders the soldier and he replies with a "Yes, your majesty!" and proceeds to exit the room she then continues "I think that answers our question about the chessboard and missing pieces".
Ohgi raises his hand "yes prime minister Ohgi?" Nunnally asks puzzled at the sudden question. "Ohgi is just fine empress Nunnally" Ohgi said she then replies "then just Nunnally please I don't want to be called empress between friends" he continues "then Nunnally don't you think that the arrival of the chessboard and remaining pieces is just too convenient … can we even trust this -G person?" he asks being skeptical about the whole timing and promises given in the letter because of past experiences with the black knights.
"I understand your concern Ohgi but this person would have already hurt us by spreading our secrets and information that happened in the past if he wanted to so we can give them the benefit of the doubt besides I know that everyone here wants to know the whole truth behind those years." Everyone shares the same look of curiosity to know what really happened.
"Nunnally what if it's not true, what if it's just another lie" Cornelia says concerned for her sister because of what happened with Euphemia. "Sister It's fine everybody here deserves to know and to start over from what happened back then" Nunnally's reply is accepted in the whole room with Tohdoh nodding, Ohgi smiling, and Milly thinking 'that's our Nunna!, huh where did that come from'.
*Remember the Ashford group's memories werechanged by Charles Geass at the start of R2
"The Empress isn't even bothered that the sender of the letter used a stamp with geass, my my such courage" Lloyd said amusingly in typical Lloyd fashion. "Lloyd!" and of course Cecille keeps him in line. "I apologize, your highnesses for his rude behavior" she continues giving a look to Lloyd that says 'BEHAVE'.
"It's alright major, even I too believe that..." Cornelia replies to what Lloyd butted in earlier then she turns back to Nunnally "... but Nunnally I just want you to know that think about your safety, I'm just concerned for you ok with what geass can do it seems too good to be true"she replies with a look of worry lining her usual stone cold face for the goddess of victory.
Nunnally puts her hand on her sister's "Big sis it's fine like I said earlier, even if they have geass they would have already used it to hurt us besides why would they even give us something that can help us if they want to destroy us this can unite us even more if we find out about the truth and start over again without the lies and pain" Nunnally said with a big smile on her face that gives the desired effect as it calms Cornelia from her "mother mode".
Others in the room are respecting Cornelia even though they were past enemies that only knew her as a goddess of victory, and a princess of Britannia. Tohdoh nods an approval of respect 'Even the goddess of victory of Britannia has another side that is caring' he thinks with a newfound respect to his former enemy. Ohgi is reminded that even though there was still bad blood between the Japanese and Britannians were all just still human that can show love and care as he puts his hand over his wife sharing a look of love with Villetta. Guilford smiles happily for his lover and the sisters' moment of affection. Anya just records the moment on her phone with a picture and types it in her diary 'recorded' she said mentally. Even Kallen was shocked at how Cornelia acted with a surprised look on her face.
But not all people looked at it that way 'I wish you even gave an ounce of that care for the lives of my comrades that you took, Britannian bitch' Chiba glares at Cornelia and thinks completely opposite to her husband's train of thought still remembering the lives of the JLF soldiers that Cornelia took.
At that moment the same soldier entered the room chessboard in hand. "Your highness" he said as he saluted then presented the chessboard to them. Cornelia takes it from him and places the chessboard in front of Nunnally. Opening it, the missing pieces were in the box with the rest of the pieces in each of their hands; she then places the pieces in order.
At that moment Kallen's mind creates a simple yet cannot be answered question "what does chess and chessboard have with finding out the truth and starting over?" she said while pondering she didn't say it towards the whole room but at that moment everyone just became quiet for her question to be heard. This in turn put all heads toward her direction even Nunnally was also surprised by this question because she never thought about it in the week that passed she thought it was just to see whether the person can be trusted or not.
Kallen blushes as she becomes the center of attention. "I'm sorry I was just asking myself how it connects" she said as she waved her hands in front of her trying to hide her embarrassment.
"Isn't it because my brother loves playing chess?" Nunnnally replies, saving Kallen from further embarrassment by switching all eyes to her. "Maybe it's how he viewed us as pieces" Ohgi adds his own view on the question with anger behind his answer because of how Lelouch used geass on Villetta, this makes everybody think more on the meaning behind connection.
"That's not it" Rivalz replies from his experiences with Lelouch. "He would never leave a chess clue because a lot of people knew how he loved playing chess, and gambling on the game, if he ever left one we would instantly know it's from him".
"Isn't it kind of wrong that the truth we want behind the guy, and how it's not a clue leading back to him not add up" Tamaki said surprisingly with both hands behind his head and leaning back on his chair making Kallen and Ohgi look that he isn't being stupid for once.
With that statement everybody goes into full silence trying to find the right answer to the connection between chess, the truth, and forgiveness. "CALM!" Milly cuts in stopping everyone from their train of thought earning a smile from the Ashford group and continues with her trademark excited look "if I may, my gut as a reporter wants me to find out what will happen if we do fix the board, and that gut never ever let me down plus I'm sure everyone here wants to know the answer to that question so why don't we just complete the board" she said with her trademark smile of curiosity and excitement that the student council already knows at heart.
Everybody voices out their own approval with some with nods others Ohgi: "let's do it", Xingke: "might as well", Lloyd: "Sweet sweet adventure are you excited Cecile finding out the truth", and Gino "What secrets did you hide old man" *his nickname for Lelouch.
With the board in place, and the pieces included with it are already placed with some black pawns and the white king and white pawns on both sides. "Everyone if you please place your pieces on the board" Nunnally says gesturing towards the chessboard in front of her. One by one the cast stands from their seats and puts their respective pieces on the chess board. When everyone has already put their pieces and returned to their seats.
Now the only piece remaining is the black king in Nunnally hand. "Everyone, before I place the last piece I just want to say that may we know the truth and move on because the past is past, the past is no longer the present" she pauses looking at the black king piece Suzaku places his hand on her shoulder and they share a look of determination. She then places the last piece then...
Nothing happens "It's just a wooden chessboard, how is that going to tell us the tru.." Tamaki said then instantly the seemingly wooden chessboard started to light up then a bright flash of light started to form. Everybody tried to take cover thinking it was a weapon that would explode with Suzaku protecting Nunnally then it engulfed them...

"Finally finished with that assignment" the person says, breathing a sigh of relief ."I swear that professor just wants to fail us everytime does it hurt to give even an ounce of compassion to your students?" he voices out his frustration at the difficult professor while stretching out his arms. His phone beside him pings due to a notification.

The person now identified as Kyle puts down his phone after their conversation was over. Now you might be wondering how is Lelouch here with C.C. ,and how other characters resurrected in the real world for now I will leave it at that, the answer will come in time.
"Now I can sleep *yawns finally it's Friday today" Kyle said as he walks towards his room on the 3rd floor of his home. The house in perspective is comparable to a small mansion that can house many people but not on the scale like an estate. Complete with a mini theatre on the 2nd floor, music studio on the 4th, and guest rooms heck it even had a small pool in the back. As he entered his room he headed towards his bathroom doing his late night rituals. Stepping out of the bathroom while wiping his face he steps on something. Bending down to get what he stepped on "Huh, a king piece must be Lelouch's" he said putting it down on his desk wondering what was it doing there since it was also Lelouch's favorite piece: the black king but Lelouch always keeps it on him so what it doing here?
'I wonder what happened to them when they left C.C. in the kitchen' he thought back on their conversation.

Help me hold her down" Lelouch says with a distressed look on his face "C.C snap out of it that's for the customers" Shirley says while they try hard to push back C.C. who was like a woman possessed screaming with arms out trying to reach the pizza "Pizza!" with some pizza already in her mouth. "Lulu, we can't do this on our own" Shirley replies as they understand that C.C. somehow had superhuman strength pushing them both back getting closer to the freshly made pizza ready to be eaten.
"I know! we need backup" he replies then "Euphy, we need help! get the duct tape we need it now!" barking out. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

'They're probably fine C.C. loves her pizza but she won't go berserk…probably' Kyle thinks oh how wrong he is. He thinks back on how they barged into his life 6 months ago but that's a story for another time. He falls deeper into slumber as he thinks about how his life became like one of those fanfictions these past 6 months and thought, hoped actually 'please don't bring anymore anime characters in my life' oh how wrong he is
3:00 AM
'CRASH!' a loud banging sound resounded from downstairs that woke Kyle from his sleep 'what is it now' he thinks irritated as he gets up from his bed, and wears his in house sandals. 'Katniss might have gotten out again from her cage' he thinks of why he heard a crashing sound that might have come from his dog but at that moment 'BARK! BARK!'.
That made him stop from his walk because he realizes that his dog will only bark unless someone else is inside the house. 'Did someone break in again' with that thought he retrieves his old airsoft p226 pistol and a real combat knife from his closet. Of course you can't protect yourself with an airsoft gun but taking a page from Lelouch sometimes the best threats are the ones that aren't real but of course you need to have an assurance hence the combat knife.

'ow my head' Suzaku thinks then opens his eyes to see it was dark but he can see the figures of everybody who was with them in the war room earlier as they all start to wake up. 'Nunnally' he tries to find her worriedly because of his promise to Lelouch he sees that her and the wheelchair were sideways on the floor to his right. She too was waking up from whatever happened to them.
"Nunnally are you alright?" he asks as he fixes the wheelchair back in the right position while holding her on the side so that she wouldn't fall out. "Im fine zero" she replies trying to find out what happened to them and where they are.
"Is everybody ok" asks Ohgi with a cacophony of "yes" and "were ok" heard among the whole cast. "I think I found the lights" Kaguya said to fix everyone's confusion because of the darkness. "Thanks Kaguya, that was scary" Tianzi replies to her friend because of her fear of the darkness as she clings to Xingke.
'What the hell happened to us' Cornelia thought about trying to assess the situation of what happened to them when they were engulfed by that white light. "Princess" Guilford offers his hand to Cornelia because she was sitting on the floor. "I'm fine Guilford" as she flashes a smile at him causing him to blush.
"You guys alright" Milly asks as the Ashford group wakes up. 'That was one intense chessboard, I mean chessboards don't glow when you set up the pieces right?' Rivalz thinks about the event that got them in their current situation. As he thinks about the situation on how they arrived where they are he asks "Do any of you know what happened to us?". Rivalz was thinking about multiple answers to his own question. "That was one weird chessboard but the question is where are we?" Gino said, trying to make sense of what happened to them.
A man of miracles, Tohdoh, thought back on what happened as Rivalz asked his question towards everyone. 'Whatever happened to us is not normal, a chessboard that glows, transports you somewhere, and now where are we' he ponders while looking at his wife with a concerned look on her face.
Chiba is not an affectionate wife most of the time due to her military background plus fighting for the black knights, and the JLF but that doesn't mean she doesn't show it. She laces her fingers with her husband "Kyoshiro, something's bothering you I know that look". Tohdon smiles at his wife's rare show of affection then again so does he with his smile. "It's just that this reminds me of those kinds of stories when before Japan was invaded. The isekai story where the main character gets transported to another world don't you think so" he said going back to his signature poker face, and yes Tohdoh is a man of culture.
Chiba thinks about it as well "Now that you mention it does feel similar to what happened, glowing chess board, having your wish granted definitely something out of isekai but that's impossible because it's not real" she continues to scrape her mind as to find an answer to their situation but what her husband said is something that's impossible but why does she feel that it has some truth in it.
"Dr. Lloyd and Rakshata what do you think happened to us?" Suzaku asks behind the mask, also feeling confused and uneasy due to them in an unknown area. Add that with the letters, and glowing chess board that promised truth and forgiveness. He also tries to scrape whatever knowledge he has to understand their predicament.
Lloyd and Rakshata share a look and that look was both communicated well between them even though no words came out. Just because they fought in the past, and had bad blood doesn't mean they forget each other's ques. "We don't know" they both answered 'Whatever happened to us is something that I have never seen in all of my research, and knowledge but what I know is that this is never seen before' they were both thinking the same lines of thought trying to come up an explanation to the phenomenon that put them where they are.
"Are you sure you don't know?" Suzaku asked, feeling even more uneasy if the 2 smartest people in the room didn't know what happened to them. Both Lloyd and Rakshata shake their heads indicating they didn't really know. Now he feels more protective to Nunnally because of this heavy feeling of the unknown. Nunnally takes his hand to calm him down as which gets the desired effect. 'Thanks Nunna' as he looks down at Nunnally to show his reply even if no words were shared.
That response of the 2 smartest people in the room made everyone more restless and uneasy because of the unknown phenomenon that happened to them. Tamaki says loudly "I knew we shouldn't have trusted that letter now look what happened to us!". Ohgi trying to calm him down "Tamaki! calm down you don't know that, all of us are in the same situation ok".
"CALM DOWN!, if the two scientists don't know what happened to us then who knows, for all we know this is a trap!" as he speaks loudly not screaming just speaking louder, as he walks around the room due to the uneasiness "I mean where the hell even are…" "SLIP, CRASH" as he slipped on a robot vacuum cleaner, roombas I tell you, he hits a stainless steel food rack like in restaurants.
"TAMAKI!" the ex-black knights shout out. Kallen and Ohgi rush to his side "I'm alright no problem" he replies looking over the knocked down metal rack. "Be careful next time, we don't even know where we are" Kallen says whilst angry. "Yes MOM" Tamaki says with eye roll.
"BARK BARK" a dog wakes up outside behind the glass partition to the yard outside. Everybody tense up at that, and find the source of the sound especially those with combat experience. "We're not supposed to be here" Xingke said, instantly going for his sword but it wasn't there, when they entered the palace earlier of course weapons are not allowed, and the others also go for their weapons coming to the same realization.
They hear a gun cocking "At least you know you're not supposed to be here" a person appears in the dark hallway pointing a gun at them. '1…2…3…..23 I count 23 I know there's people breaking in my house but at least the architect wasn't lying. The living room can fit 30 people' Kyle thinks while pointing his 'gun' at the group. "Now… what the hell are you doing in my house!" He questions trying to get an answer from them.
Zero(Suzaku), Xingke, and Guilford move to cover their respective VIPs. "I think this is one big misunderstanding" Ohgi says trying to diffuse the highly volatile situation. "Misunderstanding? I wake up at 3 am in the morning finding 23 uninvited "guests" in my house breaking stuff in my living room knocking over the food rack over there *points at the knocked over rack misunderstanding I think not." Kyle replies annoyed.
"We're sorry about that but we didn't mean it, we're just lost and confused about where we are" Kallen answers. "I think we both already know you're not supposed to be in another person's house Ms. Cosplayer" Kyle replies still not convinced. "Cosplay, Hey! I'm not cosplaying as anybody" She said angry that somebody says she's acting as somebody else. 'They can't be really from the series right? I'm still coming to terms that LELOUCH Vi Britannia is resurrected, and isekai'd to the real world with C.C., Shirley, and Euphy I mean lightning doesn't strike twice right?' Kyle thinks still not convinced. "Right and I'm Lelouch Vi Britannia, "Kallen"" he replies sarcastically.
Everybody became more tense as the person before them says Kallen's, and the demon emperor's name nonchalantly made Nunnally curious at how he said her brother's name as a matter of fact. "Zero, let me through" Nunnally said as she started to move toward the 'armed' person. 'But, Nunnally' Suzaku internally says as he looks and tries to reason with Nunnally with his gaze behind the mask. She flashes him a smile answering him that it's ok.
"Mr. ?" Nunnally asks his name to address him while moving closer to him. "Just Kyle" Kyle replies, still not lowering his 'gun'. "Kyle I'm really sorry about the damage that we did but we're just confused as you are at where we are, and what happened to us, It seems you know who we are I just want to ask how do you know?" Nunnally says with a smile to calm him down and that made him lower his 'gun'.
"Wow you really got the Nunnally act right the crippled princess due to the death of her mother from a young age, the calm, gentle demeanor as she forces herself to act, and the smile that's your only way of gratitude, alright "Nunnally" I'll bite but before I answer that question all of you will answer my questions seems fair since you broke some of my stuff do you agree to these terms" he replies with his arm out ready to be shaken waiting for her answer.
Both Nunnally and Cornelia are shocked by his words thinking 'how does he know that nobody outside the royal family knows'. "How did you.." Nunnally replies still shocked. Now knowing who they really are Kyle smiles finally realizing while replying "Well that depends on your answer" still with his arm stretched out waiting for it to be shaken. Composing herself Nunnally replies shaking his hand "I accept".
Kyle walks towards the room, and sits down on the single sofa chair puts the 'gun' down on the side table "well then since you've accepted my terms it clearly shows that you guys are not a threat so please take a seat make yourself at home and lets start." he said with a smile on his face. One by one the cast sits down on the sofa, chairs, and some stand. "Nunnally, why did you accept his terms?" Cornelia asks worried for her sister. "It's fine big sis besides we need answers don't we? He was willing to answer them you saw that he was just threatened by people barging in his home" Nunnally replies to calm her sister's fears. "Ok I trust you" she replies to Nunnally squeezing her hand in hers.
"Ok for this part I will say some names or events and you just nod for yes or shake your heads to the side for no if it means anything to you guys" Kyle explains how they would answer his questions, and all just nod at him for understanding. "Ok then first off UN" He asks them and all shake their heads saying no but for members of the UFN they think 'that's name sounds similar to the UFN'. "Next is World War 2" again a shake of no, "USA?" no again, "Covid-19?" and again no.
*the story is set 2 years after pandemic
"Well I was hoping that all of that was answered with yes but well that just confirms it'' Kyle says disappointed. "Why did you ask us if you knew we were going to say no'' Tohdoh asks, feeling a similarity from the past with how Lelouch thinks. "Why because I simply needed to know because if one of those questions was yes I would've kicked you people out of my house but since you got it right in a sense let's continue" Kyle replies with a smile on his face since his plan with the 2nd part of questioning is not about getting it right but on the reaction of the cast yes he already knows it's the real cast of fictional anime characters before him from Code Geass. How does he know, well those events didn't happen in Code Geass due to alternate history.
"For this second part I am going to say some lines. If you are the person who said this please answer" they were weirded out by this what did he mean by the lines that we said? Kyle stands up, and acts like in a theatre play "I know you're my enemy… and I know this is foolish…. But I fell in love with you! Ok now who said this please raise your hand" Kyle says with a knowing smile. Villetta, Ohgi, and Sayoko are shocked by this because they never told anyone about THAT encounter to that extent what shocks them was not the knowledge of the event but the exact words that were said that only they know from what Ohgi said to Villetta at gunpoint.
Ohgi was the first to recover from the shock "How did you know that?" he replies with a blush but serious look on his face because somebody knows their secret. "Ok you answered correctly Mr. Ohgi on to the next question" Kyle just ignores his question and the angry glare directed at him. "Calm down Ohgi" Villetta calms his husband down but also angry that somebody knows that. 'Recorded' Anya takes a picture of Ohgi's blushing face.
Kyle clears his throat for the next one and again acts out another line from Code Geass "By my power I will expose the truth of Geass and clear your name" Kyle says with a vengeful aura trying to capture the emotion behind Cornelia's words. Now Cornelia is the one that has an outburst "How do you know that!" she says with the angry Cornelia look.
Everybody was surprised at the reaction but they understand since from how Ohgi acted previously it must have been something serious or a closely guarded secret. "Like I said I won't answer until I have confirmed my suspicions, well another correct answer by an angry Cornelia" he says sarcastically with a shit-eating smile on his face ignoring the fuming woman in the room being held back by her knight. "Let me go Guilford" she said calmed down, defeated but still with a burning glare towards the man that knows her secret.
"Ok next line, 'clears throat', I am no longer me for this is the punishment I shall bear" Kyle says with a serious but hollow tone that resonates with the line Suzaku said as he stabbed Lelouch while bearing the mask of Zero. "That should be me" Suzaku raises his hand composed outside but on the inside sweating bullets as Kyle gives him a wink answering his question that he knows who he is behind the mask because of how he changed the words instead of, I am no longer Suzaku Kururugi he changed it to me to protect his identity.
"Ok last one, this one's really my favorite definitely in my top ten conversations of all time in terms of drama" Kyle said getting everyone's attention still thinking about the vague lines that were said by the people who said them. Kyle looks at Kallen then she turns red as she knows now what line he was about to say "Lelouch, what do I really mean to you…please tell me….goodbye, Lelouch" Kyle said crying on cue exactly when Kallen did in the anime.
That made everybody's eyes widen surprised that it was like a confession between lovers but what made it more surprising was it was towards the demon emperor as most people in the room knew him as after what happened. "tha..that's me" Kallen replies trying to hide her embarrassment by sinking in her chair and covering the blush on her face surprising everyone even more. "So you and Lelouch huh" Milly nudges her elbow beside Kallen making her blush more.
"So how is that connected to what happened to us?" Kallen said changing the subject to shift everyone's focus. Kyle with a knowing smile "Well then do you believe in other worlds?"
