Prologue
Adriana rushed over to her computer, clicking the Safari app on her iMac dock. She scrolled her white "Magic Mouse" onto the URL bar, and quickly typed in .com, and hit "enter" with her fore-finger. The page quickly popped up. "eBay" was shown in green, blue, orange, and red. She scrolled over to the Search Bar, typing in "rainbow colored necklace pendant." A good twenty-three items showed up. She stopped when she saw a rectangle-shaped, clear rainbow gemstone set in a silver pendant with a beautifully patterned clasp. The small hole to attach the chain was shaped like a water drop, with little silver spheres lining it. Something felt weird. She felt...connected to it. One thought went through her mind. Those books! Avalon: Web of Magic! I...no! this is impossible. The pendant is pretty. Okay, I'll buy it, but it's not magic! "Dad! Come here, please!" She called, obviously bored. Her dad jogged into her room. "Yeah, Adri?" He asked annoyedly. Her father was a tall, strong man with dark brown hair, very different from her golden hair. "I found this necklace pendant I want to buy. It's fifteen dollars and eighty cents. Here's the money!" Adriana replied, pointing towards a pile of money that she'd gotten out last night. Her dad quickly went through the procedure, and she gave him the money. "Thanks!"
