Craft 20: A Walk in Town
We are Taiso
Artoria and I walk down the street, cars passing by us on the road. "The market should be just up ahead, at the next 4 way road." Artoria said, looking at the map. "I still think I could handle the map myself." I said walking alongside her. "You said that, but you immediately took a wrong turn." Artoria points out, I cross my arms and sigh. Yeah, Yeah, I have a bad sense of direction but- "Oooh." I said walking over to a window weapon store.
Taiso:(starry eyes) They got the latest Grimm-Tech Scopes in!(grabbed) Ugh?
Artoria:(sighs) Focus, this is another reason why you don't have the map. Come on.
Taiso:(tring to break free) W-Wait, but-But the scope~!
We are Observer
Within a warehouse, Roman reading his scroll he takes another puff of his cigarette and sighs. "Well, this is great." Roman said, tossing the scroll onto the table before him. "Something the matter?" A figure said walking up behind Roman. "Sigh~ Legion, you just love Shadows don't you?" Roman said, turning around to face Legion. Legion chuckles as he walks over to the table and picks up the Scroll.
Legion: You do know me. I am a shadow.(reading) Well, tightened security around an incoming Dust Shipment? Sounds troubling.
Roman:(turns to Legion) Exactly, because of your Cast Grimm, they are putting more security on all incoming Dust Shipments. That Manifest did nothing to help, so and pardon me if this is rude but-Fix this?
Legion:(rolls eyes) Very well, you have made it clear… I'll have someone attack the Shipment, then draw off heat.(turns around to Roman) Then you and your… "Boys" can clean up the rest and take the Dust Shipment while my Grimm causes Chaos. Then I go quiet for a few weeks to ease the pressure.(gestures to Roman) Easy.
Roman:(crosses arms) Okay… (shrugs) That will work, so what Cast Grimm this time? Sword, Knife, Spear, Luke warm shank?
Legion:(snaps fingers) No… Axe.
From the shadows the Axe Cast Grimm steps out of the shadows. "Meiro Semora Asnd Homonkar Ousa Penonsoa Qunosoa. Fwon Sevor Kamen Rider Gero Exon Sevor Beno, Karmaroa Genat." Legion said, the Axe Cast Grimm bows and walks off. "I shall take my leave too as well." Legion said, stepping back into the shadows. Roman sighs as he turns back to the scroll. "Sigh~ And yet more work my way." Roman said, tossing aside the cigarette. "Time to inform the boys." Roman said, stomping on the cigarette bud.
We are Taiso
Tossing the last item into the cart we head up to the counter to pay. "So… Who's paying?" I ask, glancing at Artoria. "I can pay." Artoria said, handing her card to the Cashier. "Thank you for your patronage Miss Pendragon." The Cashier said typing something into the console. She's putting a discount? Must be- "Pfff~!" I exclaim looking at the discount. S-Si… Sixty Percent? Glancing at Artoria she looks at me in confusion.
Artoria:(looking at Taiso) W-What is it?
Taiso:(looks at price) A sixty percent discount?(crosses arms) Must be nice being a Rider.
Artoria:(tilts head) Oh, I didn't know that Riders get a sixty percent discount.
Taiso:(Bewildered) ...Next you're gonna tell me that today was the first time you ever went to this kind of Supermarket.
Artoria's face begins to burn a light pink at her cheeks. "That obvious?" She said embarrassingly, shifting from side to side… Now that's just cute. "You are so Sheltered." I said rubbing the back of my head. Bagging our item we leave the store and as we leave the building, reaching into the bag I am carrying, taking out a pair of soda bottles. I hand one to Artoria, she takes the bottle and pauses.
Artoria:(looking at the bottle) What… Is this?(starts walking) I didn't ask when we were getting this but, what kind of drink is this?
Taiso:(opening bottle) It's…(follows Artoria) Soda, what kind of drinks have you had over the years?
Artoria:(glances at Taiso) Well, water, juice, coffee, and… I think that's it.(takes a sip) It's… fuzzy...
Tasio:(smiles) That would be the carbonation. It's an infusion of air Carbon into water, it's done through low temperature and high pressure carbon being added to the water, that sound you heard from the bottle was that pressure inside the bottle being released.
Artoria:(blinking in confusion)...
Taiso:(looks side to side) What?
Artoria:(tilts head) How do you know all of this?
Taiso:(bringing bottle up to lips) I tried to make soda myself once.(sips) It wasn't soda but it was… Soda.
Artoria:(glances down at bottle) Uh huh.(sips) Mmm! Still, this is great!
"Right? Told ya." I said taking another sip. The two of us silently walk down the street enjoying our drinks. Now we walk back towards the academy, glancing up at the skyline. The Amber sunset backdrops the academy, feeling so far away… "Hey, here's a thought." I said, getting Artoria's attention. "Wouldn't it be faster to use your bike to get back to the academy?" I ask Artoria, to which she thinks of the answer.
Artoria:(nods) It would… Why?
Taiso: Can't we use that to get back?(glances at bags) I don't want to carry all of these heavy bags all the way back.(lower bags) I already did that with my Arrival here and let me tell you, it's not fun.
Artoria:(looks at bags) These bags aren't that heavy. We can walk.
Taiso:(exasperated) Said the Go-
Artoria:(glairs) Don't. Finish. That. Sentence.
Taiso:(Striking a surprised pose) H-Hai…
Artoria sighs as she takes out her scroll. "I'll call my bike." She muttered. Great- Wait, call? "You're bike can drive itself?" I ask, she nods, showing me her Scroll showing a GPS of a dot coming our way. "Yes, the bike made for me is coming." She said, bringing the scroll back over to herself. "Made for you?" I ask again.
Artoria:(looks to Taiso) Oh, right. Every new Kamen Rider is given their own Bike, it started with the original Riders passing on a new horse to the next successor. It's like a gift from one generation to the next, not to mention it allows us to use the latest technology to improve the bike.
Taiso:(nods) Okay, that makes sense. Wouldn't make much sense if you still used horses.
Artoria:(smiles) Right,(looks over) Oh, theirs is my bike.
Down the street an unmanned bike drives and parks next to the sidewalk, the bike's leg flicking down. "Whoa, nice." I said observing the bike.
The motorcycle is a street style, the body is white with blue and gold trimmings, it's shape is aerodynamic, with a pair of 7.62 caliber machine guns sticking out of the nose of the bike. Next to the butt of the bike are two removable containers with a carry handle on the top of the case.
"This could really use a few more guns." I said, looking at the twin barrels sticking on the nose of the bike. "You can easily add two more barrels, literally double the firepower!" I said standing up and turning to Artoria. "No." She said with an unamused face. "Why not?" I ask her.
Artoria:(crosses arms) Because it's pointless.
Taiso:(tilts head) What do you mean? More fire power is never pointless!
Artoria:(annoyed) Not when you're patrolling the street! And that's final! I don't wanna hear any talk back.
Taiso:(sighs) Fine, fine. I'd rather not argue if you're that adamant.
*Boom~!* The sound of a blast echoes in the distance, we glance at where the blast came from. "The train yard?" Artoria said, I glanced back at her then to the trail of black clouds. "Let's go." I said, setting down the bag of groceries. Artoria does the same as she gets on the bike. "No, you stay here." Artoria said as I was about to hop on. "Hey, I'm being a support, isn't this my job?" I argue.
Taiso:(clenches fist) Besides, while you deal with whatever is attacking the train yard, I can help get the people away!
Artoria: ...(looks at Taiso) Fine, but once the people are gone, you need to stay back, okay?
Taiso:(nods) You got it!(gets on) Now let's-
Sitting right behind Artoria, I'm unsure of where to place my hands. D-Do the shoulders work? Or should I go for the chest? No she'd hit me, then- "Waist, put your arms around my waist." Artoria said, handing me a helmet. "Uh.. Thanks." I said putting on my helmet. Artoria turns the clutch as the engine roars, then we drive off.
Vale Train Yard…
Driving onto the scene, we see workers running away in panic as the security force holds off whatever is attacking. "What could be attacking?" I asked, getting off the bike. "I don't know, but take the two containers off my bike." Artoria orders, I grab the handles of both containers and lift them off the back of the bike. "Okay, why?" I asked.
Artoria:(turns crank) My weapons are inside, I need you to check for anything! Same as the Test, got it?
Taiso:(nods) Right away!
Laying down both of the cases, I open them up to see a mini locker, like the ones at the academy. Artoria's blade and sheath are inside the right container, while ammo and tools are in the left container. Artoria drives at the Cast Grimm shooting at it to get it's attention, while I work on loading a magazine. Quickly loading in the mag and putting the blade into its sheath. "Artoria! Catch!" I said tossing the sheath to her. She catches it as she drives at the Axe Cast Grimm, she drives by the Grimm as it tries to swing at her. Artoria ducks under the axe blade as she turns her bike to the side, it's wheels skidding across the ground leaving a black trail as she comes to a stop, calmly strapping on her belt and putting the sheath on. "Sheath!" The mold exclaims as Artoria pulls it out then inserts it into the driver. "Granted! Scabbard Arther!" Holding the blade she exclaims. "Henshin!" Bringing the blade down. "Unleash! Divine Blade!" Light engulfs her and in a flash she appears in her Rider form. "The King of Knights! Arthur~!" The belt announces.
Arthur:(draws blade) Cast Grimm, gaze and behold the light of Vale!
