The Volume will infact end with the Zolgea arc which will inturn end the volume.

Again, i apologize for Issei being OOC if he was here. I tried my hardest to give him that ignorant persona he had before he was scarred by Raynare and turned into a devil. I PROMISE that he will be like the original Issei in the next chapter since thats when the DxD side of things start with Rias and everyone making an appearance and when he gets his own lines. Volume 0, Life 0- The Day we got A Little Sister

It was a bright and sunny day in the city of Kuoh. The sounds of birds singing, cars honking their horns and the occasional siren ran off in distance. The city had a small, homey atmosphere to it with the population being just above fifty thousand people, perfect for the ideal family to settle down and start a life together.

The sights of families walking around town, taxis and bicycles driving by and couples holding hand filled the area as they tried to enjoy the last few days of the weekend.

In a second-floor diner that had a large banner promoting Satsuma Chicken in the heart of Downtown Kuoh, a family of three sat in a booth overlooking the busy street. The first was a tall yet slim man with a toned body who was dressed in grey slacks, brown loafers and a white button up shirt with the first two buttons undone. He had spiky brown hair and dark chocolate eyes that were behind a pair of thinned framed glasses and two identical scars near his chin.

The second was a tall, handsome teenager with a slim figure similar to the older man sitting across from him in the booth. He had brown, unkempt hair that jutted in every direction and light green eyes. He wore a baby blue shirt underneath a navy-blue button up shirt that was completely undone. He also wore blue jeans and white sneakers. However, the most striking feature of the boy was the numerous scars that decorated his forearms and the small scar underneath his right eye.

Beside him sat another boy who resembled the older man as well. He was an average height teenager with an average body that just barely had muscle mass. He had short, spiky brown hair with two locks behind his head and dark chocolate eyes similar to the older man. He wore a simple red t-shirt, blue jeans and blue running shoes.

"Why Oyakodon?" The teenager dressed in blue asked the man who let out a small chuckle. In front of the group sat a large bowl that was packed with noodles, chicken and broth.

"Limited time deal boys, if you don't eat it now then you'll regret it later." He replied as he pointed his chopsticks to his sons. Both boys glanced at one another before shrugging their shoulders and began to dig into their food. After a few bites of their meal, they slowly placed the bowls back on the table and swallowed the food they have in their mouth.

"You're too old to be falling for that crap pops." Came the voice of the teenager in the red T-shirt.

The older man let out a chuckle as he watched his sons finish their meal quickly. "Issei, Basara." He began, getting the attention of the now named Issei and Basara as they stopped eating their food so they can listen.

"You guys said you wanted a little sister, right?" There father asked them in a somewhat serious tone. Basara let out a hum in confusion as he narrowed his eyes at his father.

"Huh? I didn't say that. What are you talking about?" He replied with the food shoved to the right side of his cheek. The boy's father only raised an eyebrow in curiosity as he turned his gaze away from the window.

"You both don't remember saying that? It was about... ten years ago if I remember correctly." The man spoke to his son who adorned a face of concentration as he tried to think when he had said that to his father. However, he gave up and shook his head.

"I can't remember something that far back. You sure it wasn't the so called 'harem king' sitting beside me?" Basara asked his dad as he pointed his chopsticks to Issei who only growled in annoyance.

"It's not my fault you can't get a girlfriend." Issei replied to Basara who had a tint of red on his face as he turned his gaze to Issei.

"When was the last time you even got a girlfriend that wasn't animated or an e-girl." He deadpanned to his brother who went red in embarrassment before laughing heartedly. The older man watched the exchange with a small grin on his face.

His two sons, Issei and Basara, were completely opposite from one another. While Basara was more relaxed and collected in most situations, Issei was more ignorant and perverted. While they did wind one another up every now and then like all siblings do, they would have each other's back no matter what.

"Alright, calm down boys." He said to his sons who stopped laughing and looked at their dad expectantly. "Guess what, You boys are getting a cute new little sister." He finished with a grin on his face as he watched his sons look at him in a state of shock.

"Really." Issei asked his dad who only nodded as he took out his silver pocket case from his back pocket along with a silver lighter. Opening the small case, he took out a cigarette and slid it into his mouth while flicking the lighter open. After a few moments, the man slid his lighter back into his pocket and took a big puff of his smoke.

"Wait, you're being serious?" Basara asked his dad as an annoyed expression adorned his face as he leaned over into the table more. Jin only sighed as he took his cigarette out his mouth and dabbed the ashes into the small ash tray that was beside a ketchup bottle.

"Yep, she said she can't wait to meet you boys and see you guys in person." The man replied as he looked outside the window.

"She wants to meet us? We didn't even know about this until now." Issei complained as an annoyed expression similar to Basara's adorned his face.

"What? Afraid you won't be able plan an idea to her to show you some skin kiddo?" Their father teased Issei who gained a red tint on his face and a snicker from Basara.

"W-What? No! If she's gonna be my little sister than why the hell would I ask for something like that!" Issei in avertedly shouted at his father, gathering the attention of the customers that were seated in the diner.

"Nice going." Basara deadpanned to his brother who sat down quietly at the booth. The sounds of a door opening rang out through diner, gaining the attention of the trio and making Basara jump in nervousness. Luckily, it was only a man in a green business suit who walked over to a small group of people.

Basara let out a deep sigh of relief as he sat back down in his seat with his eyes closed. "Why are you acting so jumpy and nervous? Try to calm down a little bit." His father spoke as he looked over his son. Basara only let out a deep sigh before looking at Issei.

"Get up please?" He asked his brother who nodded and got out the booth, giving Basara room to get out the booth.

"I'm going to go and wash my face." He spoke in a dejected tone before walking away, not caring for his dad and brothers' odd look.

"Seriously, what's his problem?" Their father asked Issei who only shrugged before they sat in comfortable silence.

Meanwhile, Basara was walking towards the bathroom, not paying any attention to the customers he passed as his mind was elsewhere. 'How the hell can I be calm? Dad says he getting remarried out of nowhere. I mean, the family has always been me, dad and Issei. And now were getting a little sister?' he thought to himself as he passed the corner leading towards the restroom. Without thinking, the tall teen opened the door and instantly his face went beet red.

A shorter yet beautiful and curvy girl stood in front of him, frozen in the act of pulling up her pink panties. She had long crimson red hair that reached to her waist with black ribbons that held together two pony tails and bright pink eyes. She wore a dark purple sundress that had a white accent in the middle of the dress that showed off her well-endowed chest. She also had on a pair of faded brown boots, black thigh high stockings and a small necklace around her neck.

They both stood there motionless, their faces bright red in embarrassment as Basara slowly turned his gaze to the sign he didn't read that was beside the door frame. "Lock is broken... please make sure you knock... please knock.. I-I didn't see that!" He spoke out loud in embarrassment.

He turned around and was about to run away but stopped when he heard her whimper and take in a big breath. Knowing what was about to come next, Basara quickly ran in the bathroom and slammed his hand over the girl's mouth before she got to scream for help.

"Wait a minute, please don't scream!" He begged as she shuffled to the wall with Basara pushing her. She fell on top of the wooden counter, her blush still present underneath her widened eyes as Basara was in between her open legs.

"Please! I didn't mean for this to happen. Try not to panic okay!? It's just an unfortunate accident! I didn't see the note on the door, who knew it was broken! See? We are both victims here! Please try to calm down, im really sorry!" He begged to the struggling red head beneath him.

After a few moments, the girl stopped her struggling and released her hands from his forearms. Basara let out a sigh of relief as he pulled his hand away from the girls' mouth. "Oh good, you understand." He sighed in relief as he leaned off of the girl and stood up straight. He let out a chuckle that was followed by a smile to the still red-faced girl on the counter.

However, he was soon sent flying onto the toilet from a hard smack to the face by the girl. "Hey... why'd you do that." He hissed in pain as he looked up to the girl who had her eyes closed and was currently cracking her knuckles in anger.

"You have the nerve to ask my why!?" She began as she opened her embarrassed, angered eyes at Basara.

"You peeped on me in the bathroom then you forced your way in and put your hands all over me! How dare you try to man handle me like that!" She exclaimed before raising her right foot to kick Basara in the face.

Before she could land her strike, they heard a knock on the open bathroom door, making them turn to see his dad, Issei, and a silver haired girl that was dressed in a black gothic outfit with a keyhole necklace.

"Whats going on here?" Basara's dad asked the duo who had their eyes widen in shock.

"You lucky bastard..." Issei growled in jealously as he saw his brother in a secluded area with a pretty girl.

"Jin, it's you!" "Father!" Basara and the red headed girl shouted in unison before turning their gaze back to each other, the girl being shocked that the guy who peeped on her called the older man, now named Jin, His father while Basara was shocked that she knew his dad. After a few minutes of explaining what happened, the group returned to their booth in the diner.

The weather outside now being covered with clouds with rain beginning to fall from the sky. The silver haired girl and the red head sat on one side of the both with the former sitting on the end towards the diner floor with Basara, Issei and Jin sitting on the other side with Basara sitting on the far side and Issei sitting close to the window, making Jin sitting in the middle.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Maria Naruse." The silver haired girl, Maria, introduced herself to the boys at the table. Jin smiled at the girl while Issei was struggling not to laugh at the big red handprint on his brothers left cheek.

"I'm Basara. Basara Hyoudou." Basara replied to Maria in a nervous tone before returning his gaze to the table.

"Whats up? I'm Issei, Basara's brother." Issei followed after his brother with a smile on his face.

"I'm Mio Naruse." The red-haired girl introduced herself to the group across from her.

"Thanks for coming to meet us here." Jin spoke up as he dabbed his cigarette ashes into the ash tray on the table. He then let out a small chuckle as he placed both of his hands on his son's heads and gave them a one handed nudgy. "Heh, My boys here always dreamed of having a couple of cute little sisters." Jin teased his sons playfully. Issei and Basara smacked their fathers hand away from their heads and gave him an annoyed expression.

"Hey! What are you talking about!?" Basara complained to Jin who kept his grin on his face.

"Yeah seriously, what the hell pops." Issei followed as he rubbed his slightly sore head in order to soothe the pain.

"Aw, look at you two blush." Jin pushed more as he watched his two sons glare at him.

"We are not!" Basara replied to his dad who just laughed off his sons glares.

Wanting to change the subject, Issei looked at Mio who was watching their exchange with a blank face. "So... where's your mom? Is she coming too?" The brunette asked the red head girl who let out a small gasp in response.

"Ah, Chihiya." Jin spoke with a dreamy expression as he dabbed the ashes from his almost spent cigarette into the ashtray.

"So her name is Chihiya?" Basara joined in the conversation as he was rubbing his slightly sore head from his father's antics.

"Yeah. She can't make it. She's out of the country on business for a while." Jin replied to his son as he dabbed the cigarette butt into the ashtray.

"So shes not even here? Go figure." Issei deadpanned in response before looking out the window. The group of three were seemingly not aware of the grin and look Maria was giving to Mio.

The next morning, Basara laid in his queen sized bed. His bedroom window slightly open to allow cool air to wash inside the small room that had various cardboard boxes containing his belongings spread about.

He let out a slight groan of pain before letting out a small cough. 'Damn, I hope I didn't catch a cold from us running in the rain yesterday'.' The brunette thought to himself as he remembered his dad, brother, and the two girls running out to meet their taxi after they spent hours talking in the diner.

Knowing he was beginning to wake up, he opened his groggy eyes only to see a large pair of breasts in his face that were being constrained by a certain red headed girl wearing a yellow tank top and blue short shorts with the zipper undone, giving him a slight view of her panties as she was straddling his body.

"Oh, you're finally awake! good morning!" Mio said with a big smile on her face. Basara meanwhile narrowed his vision at the girl in order to make sure he was actually seeing what he thought he was seeing.

"Did you sleep well?" Mio spoke again with the same big smile on her face, effectively bringing Basara to his senses from his groggy state.

"I...guess? why are you in my room?" He replied in genuine confusion as her and Maria's bedroom was down the hall from his and Issei's.

"I came to wake you up! I thought a teenage boy would like to be woken up this way." She replied as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

'Yeah, Issei would definitely like this.' He mentally sweat dropped as he could only imagine how his brother would react if he were in a similar position.

"What are you talking about?" He followed as he was now fully awake with the sleepy state he was in moments ago being completely gone.

"Service of course." Mio responded to a confused Basara who only titled is head to the side.

"Service?" He asked to the red head who nodded in response.

"I'm just here to help you get up and get ready, okay?" She followed happy before she started to bounce up and down on his crotch.

The brunette's face instantly went bright red as he felt Mio's shapely rear bounce and ripple near his manhood. The red head began to let out a series of moans and giggles as she didn't break eye contact from Basara who in turn, couldn't stop paying attention to how Mio's breasts would bounce up and down freely with each bounce she did.

"Uh... Mio?" He asked as he couldn't take his eyes off of her breasts that seemed like they were going to fall out their restraints at any moment. Said girl stopped bouncing, her face dawning a look of confusion.

"Hey, whats that? I think I can feel something hard underneath the sheets." She said in an almost innocent tone before her face adopted a suspicious look with a small red tint on her cheeks. The moment she said those words, Basara went completely pale with the blush on his face darkening. '

Oh crap!' He panicked as she went underneath his blankets.

"Hey! you better get off me right now! I don't think this is a good idea since you and i are practically-" He stopped talking when she returned with a purple DvD case in her hand.

"What's this?" She asked before letting out a yelp as she leaned too far back on the end of the bed and fell on the hardwood floor, releasing the case mid fall which hit Basara square in the forehead. The brunette rubbed the small dull pain on his forehead as he looked at the case with squinted eyes.

"What the... How the hell did this get in my room?" He asked in confusion and mild annoyance as he read the title of the H-Game. The title being 'Me and My Real Stepsister's Youth In An Unmarked Lot.'

He was brought out his train of thought when he heard Mio give an angry huff as she looked at him with an angered expression and a dark blush on her face. "How dare you! We are all living together under one roof and your playing games like that!? You're gross!" She screamed at Basara before looking away and to the floor.

Basara looked back at his step sister with an annoyed look as he held the case in his hand. "What do you mean!? This isn't mine!" He replied defensively as he stood on his bed. "Besides, I don't even play video games!" He followed before losing his footing and slipped on his bed, beginning to fall forward as Mio looked on in shock.

Basara fell on top of her as the two fell on the hardwood floor with Mio beneath him with her right leg between his own legs, resting underneath his manhood. The two looked into each others eyes in total silence, their faces mere inches apart as they both sported dark red blushes on their cheeks.

"H-hey! Get off me you pervert!" Mio shouted after a few moments as she slammed her knee into Basara's nuts. The boy went pale instantly as he let out a pained yelp and widened eyes. He collapsed to the floor beside his step sister who got up quickly and walked to his bedroom door.

She swung it with an angered expression before turning her head to her step brother who was currently holding his nuts in agony. "If you ever try something like that again, I'll kill you a hundred times!" She declared fiercely before walking out, slamming the door behind her. Basara meanwhile, laid on the ground as he looked up to his bedroom ceiling.

'She comes in here acting like that and I end up getting kneed in the junk.' he thought to himself before his mind was going back to the conversation he had with his dad and Issei when they came back from the diner.

"I'm glad we found a nice place to live." Jin spoke as he, Issei and Basara were throwing out moving boxes into the recycling bins. The rain had stopped an hour ago, the sun now setting and casting the town in a beautiful orange tint. The house itself was average with two stories, a balcony that connected to the master bedroom and was painted a lime green with white accents and a brown, heavy door.

While Jin leaned against the stone wall, his right leg curling against it as he pulled out a cigarette, Issei looked around the new neighborhood where he, his brother and dad will be living for the foreseeable future. The area was in a quiet suburb's only a few minutes from Downtown, Kuoh. He watched as families walked around and enjoyed last few days of the weekend with a distant look on his face.

Basara on the other hand, walked up the few steps and looked at the small piece of paper that spelt 'Hyoudou and Naruse' in black sharpie. Slowly, he raised his right hand and slid his fingers across the white sheet of paper. Seeing his two sons look of distant and slight sadness, Jin pocketed his lighter and let out a small puff of smoke. "What, how come you guys don't look happy? This place was dirt cheap." Jin asked his boys as they turned their gaze to him.

"You're not even remarried and you bought a new house. Not to mention, Issei and I had to suddenly switch schools all of the sudden." Basara replied with a slightly angered tone.

"Yeah, Why couldn't we just stay in Tokyo?" Issei followed to his father. Jin let out a sigh as he dabbed the ashes out of his cigarette.

"Well, for starters. We lived in Tokyo for far too long kiddo. You're last friend left for Italy about seven to eight years ago with his parents if you don't count those two other boys you know. Also, We got two young girls to take care of now and they had a real rough past and they are actually pretty messed up about it. Hell, Maria doesn't even want to go to school anymore." Jin spoke as he dabbed the ashes from their cigarette before continuing.

"Now, they don't even have their mom here to comfort them. She's gonna be out of the country for a long time and she trusted us to take care of them until she returns." He finished as he looked over to his sons who had a look of understanding on their faces but also still had their slightly annoyed look.

"We get that. But if you ask me dad? This seems crazy." Basara replied with his brother nodding in agreement.

Jin let out a chuckle as he flicked his cigarette on the sidewalk. "There must be a reason why we were all brought to together. If we can protect them. Wouldn't you boys want that?" He asked in curiosity. Issei only sighed before looking at Jin with an annoyed look that died down significantly.

"This is your idea though dad. You must have a reason for it." He replied to his father who looked at Issei then Basara who both held the same look before they walked inside together. Jin watched as they walked inside and closed the door. Letting out a sigh, he looked into sidewalk before closing his eyes.

'You boys can be so stubborn when you want too.'

Feeling that the pain left his body completely, Basara slowly rose to his feet and stood up, cracking his back in the process with a few resounding pops. After a few moments, he walked towards his bedroom door and opened it, a slight cool breeze passing his body as he stepped into the hallway.

"If they both start to hate us, then how the hell can me or Issei protect them." He mumbled in a dejected tone. He knew that Issei would have a much harder time trying to get their new step sisters to warm up to him due to his incredibly large libido. Sometimes, Basara wondered if his little brother was the literal embodiment of lust.

Letting out a small sigh of frustration, Basara walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. The sound of food frying and a intoxicating smell of fresh food wafted in his nose as he walked towards the fridge.

"Morning, Basara!" Came the cheerful voice of his other step sister Maria.

"Morning." He replied in a dull tone as he opened the stainless steel fridge. "Breakfast will be ready soon!" Maria spoke again as Basara grabbed the carton of Milk. He opened the carton of Milk and was beginning to drink some of the liquid, only to spit it out in shock as he turned around and looked at Maria who was only wearing a white apron.

"Huh? What is it? Is something wrong Basara?" She asked in an innocent tone as she held the spatula in her right hand.

'She's standing there with a white apron being the only thing she's wearing and she asks what's wrong!?' He thought to himself as he watched his step sister look at him in confusion.

0This-This is weird, why are you dressed like that!?" He practically shouted in shock to Maria.

"huh?" She replied in confusion before looking down at her outfit. A mischievous look soon graced her face as she turned her gaze back to her step brother.

"Oh, I get it. You thought I wasn't wearing anything else. But I'm actually wearing underwear today!" She exclaimed with a bright smile as she turned around, the apron flapping up due to the wind and gave Basara a full view of her green and white panties.

'LIKE THAT MAKES IT ANY BETTER!' He thought to himself as Maria walked closer to him to the point she was in his personal space. The brunette raised his hands in genuine shock, not knowing what to do as he watched Maria giggle at his face he was currently making.

"I can see why you got all excited. You are a healthy teenage boy after all, Right?" She asked with a grin on her face as she comically leaned up to his face, making Basara lean back and slightly away from her.

"Uh, no not really." He replied in an unsure tone. Maria's face soon lit up as she took a few steps back, making Basara give out a small sigh in relief.

"Oh, thats right! How did you like my gift? Did you like my move in present?" She asked with a giddy smile on her face.

"What move in present?" He asked in confusion as he didn't remember Maria giving him any gifts.

"Me and my step sister's youth in an unmarked lot." She replied in the same, happy voice.

It took her step brother a few moments to register those words before his confusion turned into anger. "What!? You bought that? What were you thinking?" He shouted at the girl who didn't lose her smile in the slightest.

"I thought you could use as a guide from now on. I was going to get something for Issei but he has a whole box of stuff." She responded to her brother who narrowed his eyes at her.

"Wait a sec, guide? Guide for what?" He asked, ignoring the part about his brothers very large box of porn. Maria only giggled as she started to move her hips in a seductive manner.

"Is there anything you can do to a step sister besides train her to your liking?" She asked her brother who's right eyebrow twitched in annoyance.

'What's with this girl!?' He thought as he was genuinely shocked and slightly disturbed from Maria's words.

"What, not exciting enough? Oh I get it. You probably think the game is boring. Here, why not do it with me in real life." Maria quickly ranted to Basara as she was reaching up her thighs and towards her panties.

"STOP DOING THAT!" He finally screamed at Maria who stopped at his words. Maria was about to reply but stopped as Jin and Issei walked in the room. The former wearing a black button up shirt with white slacks and the latter wearing black basketball shorts and orange t-shirt.

"Dude, I can hear you guys from the bathroom." Issei tiredly whined as he sat down on the barstool near the kitchen Island.

"Yeah, what's the big problem anyway? Its not even nine and you guys are going at it." Jin followed as he looked over Maria and Basara. The brunette was about to reply but a certain girl beat him to it.

"You see, Basara is about to take me in any way he wants!" She exclaimed proudly to the two men in front of her.

"I am not!" Basara shouted out loud as a slight red tint washed on his cheeks. The group then heard footsteps as Mio walked in the kitchen area from upstairs, an angry look adorned her face as she glared at Basara.

"Oh, he's at it again huh? First you knock me down and now you want Youth in An Unmarked lot with Maria." She accused to the boy who looked at her with shock.

"No! That's not it at all!" He shot back at Mio who looked at him as if she didn't believe him.

"Wow, I can't believe you would peep on our new sisters the first chance you got dude." Issei spoke to his brother before rubbing his eyes from the sleep.

Basara gained an annoyed tick mark on his head as he glared at Issei. "You're one to talk! You are the most perverted one out of all of us!" He shouted back his brother who just let out a snicker in response.

"Yeah but I don't peep on family. Perverts has standards dude." He declared proudly.

'I'm not sure that's something to be proud of.' Basara and Mio sweat dropped.

"Oh, you're fast. First you went after Mio now you went for me. You are naughty." Maria giggled at Basara who began to look at his dad as his last savior in this conversation. Said man only let out a sigh as he grabbed the morning paper and walked to the coffee machine.

"I know you're happy to have two cute little sisters but please try not to commit any crimes." He replied in a teasing tone with Issei trying his best to hold his laughter in.

Basara gained a comical cloud of depression over his head with Maria laughing hysterically and Mio walking to the fridge. "You guys suck." He muttered before going to get himself a plate of food.

After the debacle during breakfast, Jin decided to take a family portrait outside their new home. It took some time for everyone to get ready with Maria putting on her black dress and Mio switching her jean shorts and yellow tank top for a pink t-shirt and Blue mini skirt that ended near her thighs. Basara and Issei changed into new clothes, The former wearing a green shirt, blue denim jeans and black sneakers while the latter wore a bright red T-shirt, black sweat pants and black air converses.

While Jin was busy focusing the camera, the teens stood out front their home with smiles with the exception of Basara who held a deep frown due to earlier. "Dude, you gotta let it go." Issei spoke to his brother who only let out a small sigh in response.

Mio looked at Basara with a smile on her face as well. 'What's wrong with you?" She asked in a bright tone, shocking Basara and bringing him out his stupor.

"I thought... you wouldn't be smiling?" He replied in a slightly shocked tone. Mio didn't care in the slightest and kept her bright smile, although Issei and Maria could see it was slightly strained.

"Yeah, this is actually quite nice." She responded with a bright smile.

"You think so?" Basara asked the girl who was excited over a simple family portrait. Mio's smile faded instantly and was replaced with an annoyed look.

"Yeah I do, its our first family portrait after all." She replied with an icy tone that made him shut up.

"Yeah man, last time We took one I had a crap ton of pimples. So you are not ruining this for me!" Issei shouted as he leaned over from beside Mio and glared at his brother who sent him one back.

"And I told you to use the Clearasil a week before didn't I." Basara replied with a smirk, making Issei shut up and the two glares to giggle at their brothers.

"Okay, I got it. Get Ready!" Came the shout from Jin as he ran back to the teens. Maria smiled happily with Mio doing the same while throwing up a peace sign. Issei in the mean time bent down and opened his arms wide with a grin on his face. However, he was smacked upside the head by his dad instantly. The brunette quickly apologized and stood proper with a smile and gave a thumbs up. Basara meanwhile, glanced at everyone who was smiling.

'So, this is our new family huh?' He thought to himself. The talk with his dad and brother quickly replayed in his mind, reminding him that behind Mio's smile, pain rested. If he was going to be their brother, he was going to be the best damn brother he could be.

He looked at the camera as it was releasing several beeps that were getting faster. He smiled happily as the camera went off, snapping the photo.

"Okay, now time for dinner!" Jin declared as he ran to go get his camera and tri-pod. Midway, through the street however, he stopped and clicked his fingers in realization.

"Damnit, I need the spices." He turned around and looked at his oldest son. "Basara. Can you and Mio run to the store real quick and get me black pepper, cayenne pepper and a carton of broth? I need it and forgot to grab it at the market." He chuckled to his son who let out a sigh.

"Sure dad." He replied as he and Mio walked to Jin who was fishing in his wallet and pulled out five thousand yen.

"The market is only three blocks from here so you should be fine." He followed up as Basara took the money and pocketed it.

He walked up the stairs and towards the side of the house where his bike sat. He carried it easily and walked back to the sidewalk and got on with Mio sitting behind him.

"Be back in a bit." Basara spoke before pedaling off and eventually out of sight.

"What about us pops." Issei asked his dad as he and Maria looked at him expectantly.

"While their out, You guys can help me iron out your uniforms for Kuoh Academy. They just came in and school starts tomorrow." Jin replied to the teens. Issei whined comically while Maria giggled while patting his back as the trio walked back inside.

It took Basara and Mio only a few minutes to reach the store, the parking lot only having one occupant with the rest being completely deserted. After putting his bike in the lock up, The duo walked in the store and began to look for the items Jin asked for. It only took them a matter of seconds to find the ingredients and pay for them.

As they walked back outside, Basara took a look at his phone, noting it was already five in the evening after breakfast and spending the majority of the day unpacking boxes.

"Wait here. I'll get the bike." Basara spoke as the duo stopped near the end of the parking lot and near the sidewalk. Mio nodded as she watched Basara walk to the locking area where bicycles where kept. She gazed out into the small neighborhood the store was located in, a strong breeze passing by her and lifting her mini skirt a bit as a pick up truck passed by her and headed towards the highway.

As she was in her own little world, she didn't hear the several footsteps walking towards her.

"Hey baby, you all alone?" came a slightly pitched voice, bringing her out of her trance as she turned around and looked at the several delinquents walking towards her with lecherous and perverted grins.

"Wanna have some fun with us?" A taller boy with a red beenie cap asked as another boy with dirty blonde hair wrapped his left arm around her body. Mio swatted it off immediatly and gave the group a deadly glare.

"Don't touch me! Try that again and ill kill you a hundred times!" she declared to the boys who only raised an eyebrow at her claim.

"You? Kill us? I'd like to see that, go ahead and try." The boy with the red beenie mocked as he leaned towards Mio, the smell of alcohol on his breath hitting her nose and making her scrunch her face in disgust. She was about to retort when a familiar voice rang out.

"What's going on? You gotta problem with my friend?" Basara asked the group as he walked towards the group with a frown on his face. Mio sighed in relief as she watched her step brother glare at the boys.

"Basara..." She muttered in happiness as she watched him stick up for her.

"Basara eh? Kinda lame ass name is that?" The boy with the beenie joked with his lackies laughing in unison. Basara only frowned and glared at the boy in response.

"Not half as lame like a few punks like you." He shot back with his frown getting deeper. The laughing instantly stopped as they all glared at the boy in front of them.

"What the hell did you say!?" The beenie wearing boy shouted as he was about to rush Basara, only to have the brunette raise the bike up and ram the front tire in his face with great force, making him scream as he fell to the ground with a bloody nose with the blonde haired boy going with him.

"You're dead meat!" A man with a dark brown shirt exclaimed as he ran towards Basara and Mio who joined his side.

"You will pay for that!" the other teen who wore a blue sweater exclaimed as he too rushed the duo.

Thinking quickly, Basara went into the bags of groceries and pulled out the bottle of cayenne pepper. Ripping off the lid, He swung his hand in an arc, creating a cloud of pepper the duo ran into and began to scream in agony as the pepper entered their eyes. Basara quickly grabbed onto Mio's wrist, eliciting a gasp of shock and a red tint on her cheeks.

"Come on Mio, Get on!" He shouted, making the girl nod as she sat behind him and held on tight as he pedaled as fast as he could and away from the market. The duo turned on several streets and alleys before heading up a small street that led up the mountain and towards their home, the wind passing violently as Basara didn't slow down in the slightest.

As she watched the houses and trees pass by, Mio had time to think about what just happened. While she did put up a front of bravery towards those delinquents, she was actually afraid of what could of happened if Basara didn't show up sooner.

Shaking her head, she clutched onto Basara's body and rested her head on his back, listening to his heartbeat. "I'm Sorry." She whispered in his ear, making him gasp slightly as they began to slow down.

"Ah, don't worry about it. It was just pepper, We could always buy some more." He replied with a smile as they were now pedaling slower.

Mio's cheeks gained a red hue as she tightened her hold on Basara. "No, I mean it. I'm really sorry." She repeated to Basara as his smile was replaced with a small frown. The two sat in a comfortable silence as they passed by many houses on their way home.

The sun was beginning to set once again, casting the city in a beautiful hue of orange as they were close to home. Getting an idea to cheer Mio up and out of her funk, He took a right instead of a left and stopped at a little clearing that had two benches.

Mio looked on in visible confusion as to why Basara brought them here. The boy only looked at her with a smile and gestured for her to follow him. After a few moments, she nodded and walked with him to the guard railings and looked over the city in awe. Kuoh looked breathtaking from this view as she stood beside Basara.

"I know right? This is a pretty cool place." Basara spoke as he watched Mio's awe struck face. The red head only nodded with a bright smile on her face as she looked over to the apartments district, then downtown as a train passed by, then finally at the University District where the campus of Kuoh Elementary, Kuoh Academy and Kuoh University sat in its glory.

"Issei and I found this place when dad took us here to show us the new house." Basara continued with a nostalgic smile. Mio looked at him with the same smile on her face as he continued to look out in the city.

"Yeah, I love this place. I come here every now and then to think. I bet it looks even better at night." He replied with a smile before snapping his fingers.

"We should all come here some time." He followed as he looked at Mio. The red head smiled back before it quickly turned into a frown.

"Yeah... I'd like that." She responded in a dejected and sad tone. Basara frowned as he looked at Mio who had a downcast expression as she looked at the ground.

"Listen... try not to think about what happened back there." He spoke, getting a shocked gasp from Mio as she turned her gaze to him. The brunette only looked down to the grass, a small yet noticeable tint on his cheeks as he continued. "I mean... Were all living together now.. even though our parents haven't gotten officially married yet which is pretty weird come to think of it." He spoke softly as he scratched his head.

"But... we gotta help each other out, Ya know? Like how you tried to help me out by coming in my room to wake me up." He finished by scratching the side of his cheek before looking back at her with a smile.

"We have to learn on how to rely on each other, even for the little things. That's the best way to become a family... Little by little." He finished with a blush of embarrassment on his cheeks. Noticing the still saddened look on Mio's face, the brunette let out a sigh of nervousness. "What I mean is..." He began, only to be cut off by Mio who gave him an annoyed glare.

"Hey, don't push it!" She snapped, making the boy gasp in shock as she let out a sigh. "Just, don't push your luck." She repeated as she looked at the ground with her annoyed look. Basara frowned in response as he watched the red head's annoyed expression. He was about to apologize until she let out a small chuckle with a smile creeping across her face. "But you know... It did kinda feel like you were being a big brother to me back there." She finished with a bright smile, shocking Basara as she looked in his eyes.

"It.. it did?" He asked in shock, making her giggle before she held her right hand up with her index finger and thumb close to each other but not actually touching.

"Yeah it did. Just a little bit."

"Good. So, can you forget about the bathroom in the restaurant and this morning please." Basara pleaded to Mio who quickly let out a 'hmmph' while turning around and extending her arm in his face with her hand open.

"No way!" She instantly declined to the boy, making him narrow his eyes in annoyance.

"But why not!? You know that crazy video game wasn't mine. Maria did that!" He replied defensively to Mio who kept her guard up.

"You knocked me on the ground!" She fired back at Basara who sighed.

"That was an accident!" He exclaimed to his step sister. The two began to bicker back and forth until the sun went completely down, reducing the sky to darkness.

"Wait a minute, you're leaving to go overseas right now?" Basara asked his dad who was at the front door, packing his camera and a set of clothing in a suitcase. It was nine in the evening by the time Basara and Mio got back into house after their bickering session that occurred down the street.

When they walked inside, Mio walked upstairs to hers and Maria's room after giving a quick hello to Jin who was already getting ready and at the door. Basara apologized to his father about being so late at the market. The older Hyoudou only chuckled and said he ordered Pizza for everyone since the company he worked for called him in, leading up to now.

"Freelance workers got to be reliable... and fast too kiddo." Jin replied as he let out a deep sigh as he packed extra batteries in a zipper compartment in his suitcase. Issei walked towards them from the kitchen, a slice of cheese pizza in his hands as he nodded at his brother, not wanting to talk with his mouth full of food.

"Yep... sending me out to Dubai of all places. If it was up to me? I'd go somewhere like Los Angeles or something." Jin chuckled at his own joke while packing his collapsed tri-pod.

"Oh yeah, American girls have no standards when it comes to sizes." Issei spoke with a perverted grin on his face while Basara only face palmed in annoyance.

"This is all so.. sudden." Basara continued, ignoring his brothers comment as they watched Jin tying his shoes.

"Wait a sec, what about Mio and Maria? What are we suppose to do?" Issei asked his father as he tied his other shoe.

"If i remember correctly, its the brothers job in the family to look out for the family while their father is away." Jin said with his smirk, watching with amusement as both of his sons sighed in annoyance.

They walked outside, his taxi already waiting for him as they walked past the gate and onto the sidewalk. Jin got in the backseat with his suitcase on the other side. Rolling down the window with a smirk, he looked over his sons who had their annoyed look on their faces.

"Well, take care of everything boys. And no pay per view Issei." Jin waved goodbye to his sons as the cab pulled away, leaving a frowning Basara and a despair stricken Issei.

Basara only sighed as he and his brother walked back inside their home.

"Hey you guys! Dad's gone!" Issei shouted in the house to his step sisters. When receiving no answer, both brothers looked at each other in confusion before the lights seemingly shut off.

"Uh.. did dad forget to pay the power bill already?" Issei asked aloud, knowing how bad his father gets with paying bills on time. Basara only stayed quiet, his eyes narrowed as he walked deeper inside the house, followed by Issei who was catching up.

"Hey, where are you guys?" Basara shouted in the house, again getting no answer as the boys walked into the living room. They noticed Mio sitting on the loveseat, looking at the black screen of the T.V while Maria stood by the window.

"Why's the lights off? What is going on." Basara continued to the girls who stayed silent.

"There's a box of pizza left on the counter. We could watch a movie before bed? You know since its our last night of freedom since there's school tomorrow?" Issei stepped in while scratching the back of his head with a grin on his face. When they got no response from the girls, both brothers looked at one another with confusion.

'What the hell is going. The moment pops leaves, they don't trust us?' Basara and Issei thought similarly.

"I can pick one for us? How do you guys feel about Halloween? or maybe Friday the 13th?" Issei asked the girls with a friendly smile that was quickly getting strained by the second. Basara was about to chime in until Mio finally spoke.

"Listen Basara, Issei. I have only one request." She asked her step brothers, both of which didn't catch on to the underline in her tone.

"Don't like scary movies? I'm more of a comedy guy myself." Basara replied with a smile. However, the next words would shock them both.

"I want you to leave this house."

Both boys stayed silent, looking at one another before looking back at Mio.

"Wait what." Basara asked Mio, wondering if he heard her wrong by any chance. Before they could ask again, Maria extended her right arm, a glowing green sigil appeared and shot out a wave of highly compressed air towards both brothers.

"What the!?" Issei exclaimed as he and Basara were sent hurdling in the wall, the force creating a spiderweb like crack in the dry wall as they slid to the ground.

"You both need to listen. Didn't you hear what Mio just said." Maria coldly asked the boys, the warmth and cheerful tone that was in her voice was all gone and replaced with ice.

"What... the fuck was that." Issei wheezed out as he felt like a train rammed into his body.

"Interesting. When a human sees magic for the first time, they usually panic and are terrified of what they seen. Basara got on his hands and knees, looking back and checking to see if his brother was okay before Maria's words finally clicked in his head.

"Wait, did you say magic." He asked in shock as a dense, glowing blue aura seeped out from Maria's body, illuminating the dark room.

"Oh yes... Magic truly exists... And there are other races in this world that are not human." Maria spoke as her black nightgown was now replaced with black, thigh high latex heels, black latex gloves with a black strap covering her small breasts and a pair of leather panties with two straps, one of each going up and across her small yet curvy body. Her eyes grew out and became sharper and her eyes switched to a purple hue. Lastly, a demonic tail erupted from her tailbone, the end being pointed like an arrow and was razor sharp.

Basara and Issei looked on in shock, both of which were not believing what they were seeing.

"Wait a sec... Does that mean Mio.." Basara trailed off as his gaze landed on Mio.

"You both need to be quiet. To the future demon lord." Maria spoke as Mio continued to look at the black screen TV, not paying attention to what was happening in the living room with her. Both boys looked shocked, knowing that their so called step sister was a 'demon lord.' They turned their pained gazes to Maria who gained an evil smirk.

"Mio and I decided to make this our base of operations in the human world." She spoke, shocking the two greatly as Issei narrowed his eyes at the silver haired girl. "So our dads remarriage..."

"A ruse. We have altered his memories accordingly. Now, its your turn." She finished before raising her hand to the two boys. "You two couldn't get along with the two girls living in your house. So, you both decided to pack up and live with some relatives in the country. Is that alright, Mio?" Maria asked the red head who slowly stood up, her hair covering her eyes as she stood still.

"Yes, that will do." She replied with an uncaring tone, shocking both brothers greatly before their shock turned into rage.

"So you been lying to us this whole time!?" Basara exclaimed to the red head, sending her a glare with Issei.

"Seriously what the hell dude!? We took you guys in and this is the thanks we get!?" He exclaimed, too angry to care about his bruised back from Maria's attack earlier.

Mio finally looked at the duo, her face devoid of emotion as she looked over the two brothers. "We have already decided to take this house. So goodbye my brothers. It wasn't for long but it was fun while it lasted." She spoke before looking away.

Basara and Issei were about to retort when the green sigil from before appeared, cascading the room in a bright emerald light. After a few minutes, the light died down and casted the room back into darkness. Basara and Issei stood side by side, their eyes covered by their hair as they stood their with the fists clenched.

"Now, get out." Maria said in triumph. Mio turned and was waiting for the two to leave the living room and eventually leave the house. However, both boys said perfectly still, making the two girls genuinely confused.

"Huh? This should of worked." Maria spoke as she wondered why the spell didn't take affect instantly.

"I'll try it again." She continued as she was about to use the same spell again. However, Issei grabbed the wooden coffee table with ease and chucked it at Maria, the girls eyes widening as she saw the table gunning to her like a bullet.

Quickly, she dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the table as it broke through the drywall beneath her and shattered on in the hallway on the other side. She looked up, only to see a downward axe kick racing towards her face as she jumped again, dodging the attack as Issei's foot slammed through the floor with ease.

Maria jumped once again, feeling the wind violently kicking around her as if someone was running faster than she could track. She landed beside Mio, the red headed girl's eyes widened in shock as she watched Basara seemingly phase into existence beside Issei, their hair still covering their eyes as they took one step towards them.

"You are going to resist us!? I didn't want to do this but you're going to get hurt!" Maria shouted as she casted another sigil and shot another wind attack at Basara and Issei. The older brother cupping his right hand over his left as if he were grabbing a sword while the younger brother stood still.

A second later, a bright flash of emerald light illuminated the room, followed by a series of gasps as the two brothers summoned a weapon. Basara summoned a large silver sword, his right forearm down to his fingers were covered in thick silver metal as he held a large ornate sword.

Issei on the other hand, had a blood red gauntlet over his wrist that stretched to his elbow with an emerald jewel on the top of the gauntlet. Both brothers used their combined strength to disperse Maria's attack before giving them a glare.

"No! My magic! Thats impossible!" Maria shouted in disbelief as she watched Basara and Issei disperse her attack with ease.

"Why are you acting so surprised. Don't you remember what you said?" Basara asked Maria with a glare as his sword glowed a bright emerald light.

"Demons do exist. And so do gods, Sister." Issei followed in an ignorant tone as his gauntlet flashed a darker tone of emerald light. Mio gasped in shock as she finally put the pieces together, the symbol of a certain clan glowing in Basara's sword and near the end of Issei's Gauntlet.

"No way! The Hero clan should be in there hidden village! So what are you guys doing here!" Mio screamed in disbelief as she wasn't expecting her two step brothers to be apart of the hero clan.

Basara let out a huff while Issei kissed his teeth in an arrogant tone. "Good question. But we don't got to explain nothing to you guys." He replied to the girls with the best glare he could muster.

"Demons or not, It doesn't matter to either of us!" Basara shouted as he and Issei dashed at the girls, his sword arched high while Issei's gauntlet flashed an emerald light.

"BOOST!" The gauntlet seemingly shouted as they were mere inches from the girls. Maria, in a last desperate move, shielded Mio with her body in order to protect her from the boys attack. However, the attack never came. She looked back at the boys who seemingly dispelled their weapons and turned around to face the window.

"Get out." Basara coldly spat as he kept his gaze outside the main window while Issei sat near the kitchen table.

"Yeah, I don't got the time or the energy to waste on someone who tricked me and my family." Issei agreed, the goofy, ignorant tone he so usually spoke with was now replaced with stone cold anger.

Slowly and reluctantly, Both girls nodded slowly as they got up from the hardwood floor and began to walk out the front door, closing the heavy door quietly. With his eyes still shadowed by his hair, Basara left his little brother and silently walked upstairs to his room and slammed the door shut hard.

Issei only sighed as he walked to the stainless steel fridge and took out two cold cherry sodas. Without saying a word, He began to walk upstairs, the wooden stairs creaking underneath his steps as he walked towards his brother's room.

Without knocking, Issei slowly opened the bedroom door, the only light protruding in the room was from the moon cascading through Basara's open window as he sat on the edge of his bed, holding his right forearm with a deep frown on his face.

"Hey... you alright man?" Issei asked his brother as he sat down beside him. Basara only frowned as he clenched his right fist tightly.

"I felt it dude... that power again... I... wanted to use it... that horrible technique..." Basara muttered, the anger that was visible on his face now replaced with sadness and fear. Issei only sighed in defeat as he cracked the first can of soda and handed it to his older brother who silently took it and took a chug. He knew about what he was talking about... Having been there that eventful day in the village when he and his brother were little.

"I'm sorry man... I... know how hard it is for you to live that.. Just know I'm here with you till the end of the line pal." Issei replied with a smile on his face as he wrapped his right arm on Basara's shoulders, giving his brother a typical bro hug which he returned with a chuckle.

"Thanks brother." Basara replied with a small smile as they pull away from one another. The older teen let out a sigh as he pulled out his phone from his pocket. "Guess we should talk to dad about this.. fill him in on everything." He spoke before entering his contact list and clicking on his dad's number.

"Dude, he's going to be soooo pissed." Issei complained as Basara put his phone on speaker. After a few moments, Jin answered his phone while on the bridge for the airport.

"Ah, hello boys. What can I do for ya?" Jin asked in his usual, carefree tone. Basara and Issei began to fill him in on what happened not to long ago. To Mio and Maria exposing themselves as Non-human demons, To him and Issei defending themselves and finally kicking them out the house. The phone stayed silent for a few moments, making the boys think that their father would go on a rant and yell at them.

However, Jin let out a sigh as the carefree tone he had faded instantly and was replaced with dead seriousness. "Yeah, I've always known." He spoke, shocking both brothers before Issei felt his anger rush back.

"What the hell pops! You should of given us a warning!" He shouted at Jin who let out a sigh.

"Yeah I know, but I decided to keep an eye on them now. It just didn't feel right about the guys in the village watching them." He replied, making Basara's eyes narrow at his screen.

"Wait a sec, the village?." He claimed to his father who let out a humm in agreement.

"Yeah, After all, she's the only daughter of Wilbert the demon lord." Jin spoke in a dead serious tone, both boys widening their eyes in shock and their whole bodies going completely pale from the mere mention of that name.

"No... that's impossible..." Issei muttered, not wanting to believe the red headed girl he called step sister was the daughter of a insanely powerful demon.

"I'm afraid so Issei. You see, Wilbert was a peaceful king to the race. Ending the conflict between the warrior demons and worked for peace treaties for the Hero clan and other factions such as Heaven and the Archangels, Hell and its denizens, and Olympus and Asgard. When the war hit, he was the first one to oppose it and nearly succeeded into ending the conflict between the demon race and their enemy powers. However, the warriors who disagreed with his methods and the peace treaty between the hero clan wanted his throne. To prevent the civil war from reaching his daughter, He had ordered two of his most trust worthy servants to take his daughter and raise her as their own in the human world. That child was Mio." Jin continued to the boys who had a look of shock before it narrowed into suspicion and annoyance.

"Okay, but why are you telling us this." Basara asked his father while Issei agreed. The phone stayed silent for a few moments before Jin spoke again.

"Because Wilbert died about a year ago. The warrior demons who killed him and usurped his throne broke his treaties to the very end, bringing the demon race to near extinction with only a handful managing to survive. The ones who served Wilbert to the very end managed to rescue her. " He replied.

The boys instantly went pale, not believing that Wilbert, a demon with an insane amount of power, was killed in the conflict. All they could hear was the clock ticking in his room as they processed that information.

Hearing no response from his sons, He decided to press further. "Think about it boys, A young girl who doesn't know anything about this is suddenly told she's the daughter of the demon lord. Her power hasn't even awoken yet. If she doesn't get help, they will find her and kill her. Its been years since we left the village, That's why I we should decided to help her." Jin finished. Both boys processed his words before full blown rage filled their face.

"What the fuck dad, why didn't you say anything to us!?" Issei shouted, he didn't care that he swore at his father right now with all the hate towards Mio now gone knowing what she's been through and was replaced with anger and worry.

"Yeah seriously, Why didn't you say something!?" Basara shouted after as he and Issei both shot off the bed and raced downstairs and outside.

"They couldn't have gotten far!" Issei shouted as he and Basara got on their bikes and race down the street.

"Find them you two, bring them home." Jin spoke before hanging up the phone, angering the older brunette as he hastily began to put his phone back in his pocket.

"You see them!?" Issei shouted over the raging winds rushing by them as they looked around while pedaling.

"No!" Basara shouted back as he pedaled faster, his mind going a mile a minute as he remembered Mio holding onto him as they rode back from the supermarket.

'I'm sorry.' The voice of Mio rang throughout his head, worry settling in after as he let out a small growl. "Dammit. Where the hell could they be?" He muttered quietly as they looked around the neighborhood.

They were halfway down the small mountain they lived on when they heard a loud, inhuman snarl that was soon followed by a loud boom. "Over there! That's where its coming from!" Issei shouted to his brother as he pointed to the bright flash of Purple light in the area Basara and Mio stopped to talk.

Seeing this, Both boys peddled as fast as they could in order to reach the girls. "MIO!" They heard Maria's desperate shout as a flash of yellow light erupted from the trees. A second later, a trail of smoke shot out the treeline, revealing Mio whose clothes were slightly singed.

"Go Buddy!" Issei shouted as Basara was the closest to reaching her.

"Damn it!" Basara shouted as he stood on his bike with great balance. Timing it perfectly, He jumped off the bike and into the air. He caught her in his arms, shocking the girl as she thought she was going to fall to her death before being saved by Basara, the boy she almost banished and killed not even five minutes ago.

Both teens were sent sprawling down the grassy hill, The brunette still keeping her in his arms while he took the brunt of the fall. He heard a set of footsteps as Maria came running down the hill to catch up.

"Watch out!" She screamed as two hooded specters raced towards them with immense speed. Their body was covered in ripped black cloth and their face was devoid of a mouth, nose and ears with the exception of blood red eyes.

Basara quickly casted his sword again and shoved it into the demons head, the act making it release a painfilled scream before it dispelled into ash. He was about to parry the other demons attack with his sword. However, Issei rushed beside him and caught the demons sword with his palms.

He winced and grunted in pain as he felt the demons jagged sword cut deep into his palms and drawled blood. Using all of his strength, he grabbed onto the demon's wrist and twisted with all his might, a loud snap erupted as the demon released a blood curdling cry before dropping the blade. The brunette grabbed onto the sword with his bloody hands and rammed it into the demon's throat, making it release a gurgle before dropping to the ground and dispelling into ash.

Both boys dispelled their weapons, Basara letting out a sigh while Issei clutched his bleeding palms in order to stop the stinging sensation. "Mio!? Are you okay!?" Maria asked the red head who didn't answer as she looked at the back of the two boys. More specifically, she was looking at the back of Basara who caught her before she could plummet to her death.

"Come on. We are going home." Basara spoke as looked over his brother to make sure he was okay.

"I'll be fine man, Nothing a little rubbing alcohol can't fix. Besides, Girls love boys with injuries." Issei grunted with a pained yet goofy smile on his face, making his older brother roll his eyes in amusement and annoyance.

"Wait... what?" Mio asked, dumbfounded as she heard what Basara just spoke. The older boy stayed silent for a moment before pulling out his phone with his screen saver being able to be seen. What shocked the girls was that it was their family portrait as his background.

"I just to pick up my family. And it's a big brothers job to take care of their sister." Basara said as he looked at the girls with a genuine smile.

"Yeah, I may not be no where near as strong as my brother. But you guys are my family, and I look out for my family." Issei spoke with the same smile and tone in his voice that Basara had. Both girls were stunned silent, not believing that after the lying, manipulation, and betrayal they acted out, they were still seen as family. Mio felt her eyes water from the thought. The thought that these two boys, her little and big brother, still saved them.

Without uttering a word, the group walked back to the house in comfortable silence. Together, as a true family.

Hello everyone! This is the official new release of Testament of the DxD. I apologize if Issei seemed slightly OOC here. This chapter revolves around the first episode of Shinmai and obviously Issei isnt in the series, I had to give him his own lines while staying true to his ignorant, arrogant self before he was killed by Raynare. I promise he will act as canon DxD in the next chapter since thats when the DxD side of things will start. I just wanted to give that brotherly bond between the two. Next chapter he will have his own lines from the DxD series.

Now, I know that in Canon, Basara is Fifteen in the beginning and Mio is Sixteen. However, since Basara is more mature than Issei, i thought it would be better to give him that big brother role with Issei being the younger brother. So in this fic, Basara is seventeen and Mio is as well since they are in the same class in Hijirigsaki.

Also, Before ANYBODY says "Oh, how does Issei know how to fight since he could barely punch in DxD" or "why mention heaven and hell now instead of Rias talking about it in episode 3-4 or during Riser's arc." Well for one, since they are both related, that means they both were apart of the hero clan who are known to be some of the strongest warriors. It wouldn't make sense for Basara to be where he is in the beginning with Brynhildr and have Issei be a total useless shit if they were from the hero clan. So, to compensate for this, Issei already has the first level of Boosted gear he had during his small battle with Kalawarner. He has a small amount of enhanced strength and speed but no where near the likes of Basara. This will make his training happen how its supposed to go in the DxD timeline. For the other question, its actually simple. If the Hero Clan knows about the demons and such, they would also know about the other pantheons such as Heaven, hell and etc. So to put it simply, he isn't as strong as Basara but can somewhat hold his own.

And no, Isseis boosted gear is a sacred gear. It just has the hero clan sigil on it. Think of it like a sigil/glyph or tattoo.

Anyway, Next chapter "Volume 1, Life 1- First Contract, Darkened Beings" Will be out later. This will be the introduction of Rias and her group and Yuki!

Till Next Time Guys!
