*( So, I may have forgotten I was writing a Fanfiction. )*

The Little Ghost was getting used to the Underground. It was nothing like the kingdom they were expecting to find, not cold nor harmful nor Infected in any way. It was strange, how many intelligent "bugs" were around this area. While they were traveling the void of Hallownest's edge, they had needed their nail at every corner, and they always had to be aware of everything in case something tried to jump out at them. Every day was a fight for survival, with a call in their mind not letting them rest.
"Help me!"
The voice had said. A painful cry from Hallownest, a cry that couldn't be ignored. Every moment they were resting was another moment that being was suffering. They needed to help them. They needed to save them.
But now? Now they could rest. The call was gone; they were free. Free and safe, with this strange furry bug holding their hand. Their clothes weren't for defense, but seemingly for enjoyment. A purple dress, which went down to their feet, with a strange symbol on it. Toriel had said that the symbol was of an angel, A "Human" that was going to fall down and save the Underground from being trapped without the sun. They had liked this story, and with the strange Void-Phone, they were now able to communicate.
And what they had learned surprised them.

This wasn't Hallownest. This was actually called the Underground, with areas called "Snowden", "Waterfall", and "Hotland."
... Asgore wasn't good with names.
Oh, and Asgore was the King! This kingdom wasn't run down and broken, like what they had been told. No, this kingdom was thriving, with others everywhere inside. The Underground was becoming overpopulated and needed to get out soon.
"Why can the Bugs not get out of The Underground?"
They had asked, taking their hand from Toriel to write. They were slowly starting to understand some words in the New Language, like "Hello" and "Pie".
"...Bugs? Do you mean Monsters, child? The Monsters can't get out because of a curse put upon us by the Humans. The mountain has a barrier stopping us from leaving. Anyone can go in, but no one can come out. . . Unless the Barrier is broken."
"How do you do that?"
Toriel didn't seem to like that question.
"... Human Souls."
Soul. They knew how to use Soul! Sadly, before they could suggest them helping, Toriel stopped at a large corridor.
"... Child. Forgive me. You must cross this room on your own."
...What? They looked to the strange device, then to Toriel, then to the phone... Then back to the empty air that once held Toriel. Where did she go? What did she mean, "On their own"?
Their voidheart raced. They were alone. The eyes that had been following them could come out now, there was nothing stopping them from attacking at this very moment. They were alone. Equipping their nail (just in case!) They ran forwards.

So, the big eyed bug was in the main town now.
Elderbug, the one that she was tempted to but didn't kill, was staying near the bench. For some reason they didn't sit on it, which Frisk thought would be much comfier, but to each their own. They had gone past that to see a few stores open: A map shop, and a Trinkets shop.
Chara went through to the Map Store, while Frisk went to the Trinkets shop. Now they were standing right in front of that strange bug. Their eyes took up about half of their face, and... They didn't appear to have a nose. or a mouth. How they were able to speak confused the Human, but they just went along with it.
After a strange match of Pictionary, Frisk was able to see the bug's wares. A bunch of Charms, pieces of masks, and... A gross smelling egg.
Since they had an abundance of Geo stored up- Apparently that's their currency- They got two charms called "Gathering Swarm" and "Stalwart Shell." While they waited for Chara to return, they rested at the bench.
Then they learned what the Charms were for.
They put them on, and felt a surge of power go through her very soul. Small, insignificant power, but power nonetheless. They looked at the charms, testing with them; taking them off took away the power, and putting them back on gave her the power back. They were like the Ribbon and Toy Knife in her last reset, upgrades.

"What did you just do?"

Oh, Chara's back! Let the Pictionary begin!
It was difficult to explain, but once she did, Chara seemed to understand.

"So... Those pin things, when put on, give you an extra boost of power? And when you take them off, you lose that power you were given. We should collect more of those."

Frisk agreed. Keeping the strange Charms on, she prepared to go down into the well, took a deep breath, then jumped.
