The next morning, David woke up to see Snow pacing.

"Are you okay?" David asked.

"I need to make amends with Regina" Snow said. "Emma's right. We shouldn't hold onto the past and Regina is family. She's my stepmother and she raised our grandson."

"I am happy to hear that" David said. "And I'm sure Emma will be too."

David got off the bed and walked over to Snow and took her hands in his.

"I am proud of you" David said.

"I'm going to go talk to her" Snow said. "Get this all resolved before breakfast."

David kissed Snow and she walked out of the room.

Hook walked out of his room and ran into Snow in the hallway.

"Is Emma still asleep?" Snow asked.

"I don't think so" Hook said. "She's not in the room."

"That's odd" Snow said. "Maybe she just decided to get an early start to the day."

"I'm sure that's it" Hook said. "Where are you off to?"

"I've been pretty cruel to Regina since you all got back here" Snow said. "I need to apologize and make things right."

"I'll see you downstairs for breakfast" Hook said.

Hook walked down the stairs and Snow continued down the hall to Regina's room.

Snow quietly knocked on Regina's closed bedroom door before opening it. Snow was shocked to see Emma and Regina asleep with their arms around each other and let out a high-pitched scream. Regina and Emma jumped up in the bed, covering themselves with the covers.

"Get the hell away from my daughter!" Snow shouted.

"Mom, you don't understand" Emma said.

"Oh I understand perfectly" Snow said, looking at Regina. "You were taking advantage of my daughter."

"Mom, that's not what's happening" Emma said. "Regina and I love each other. We both wanted this. In fact, I came to her room last night."

"You love Hook. You don't love her" Snow said. "And she probably put some kind of spell on you to make you come here last night. She just wants to keep hurting me. I can't believe I had come here to make peace."

"You were going to make peace with Regina?" Emma asked.

"I was" Snow said. "But, now? No way."

"Mom, please" Emma begged.

"Get dressed and get downstairs" Snow demanded. "Your husband is looking for you."

"Mom" Emma said.

Snow walked out of the room without saying a word.

David walked over to Snow.

"I heard you scream" David said. "Is everything okay?"

"It's far from okay" Snow said. "Regina has put some kind of spell on Emma. Our daughter believes that she is in love with Regina."

"Maybe she is" David said.

"David, you don't honestly believe that, do you?" Snow asked. "She is married to Hook."

"That's true" David said. "But, feelings change."

"True love is true love" Snow said. "Even when you woke up from your coma during the curse and thought you were married to Kathryn, you were still drawn to me. Because what we have is true love. Emma and Hook have that same kind of love that we do. That doesn't change."

"Are we sure that it's Emma and Hook that have the same kind of love we do?" David asked. "Maybe we had it all wrong. Maybe it's Emma and Regina."

"I don't want to hear this from you" Snow said. "I'm going back to the room."

Snow walked away and David headed downstairs.

In Regina's room, Regina and Emma were dressed.

"I have to go" Emma said. "Hook should hear about this from me. Not my mother."

Tears filled Regina's eyes.

"I'm sorry" Emma said.

"Emma, wait" Regina said. "What does this mean? Now that your mom knows and Hook is going to know, what does this mean for us?"

Emma kissed Regina.

"I'm going to tell Hook the truth" Emma said. "That I love you and I have since I laid eyes on you. I just couldn't admit it to myself, let alone anyone else. I am going to end things with Hook and then I'm going to come back here and be with you."

Regina smiled as Emma walked out of the room.

Emma walked outside and saw Hook sitting on a horse.

"We need to talk" Emma said.

Hook dismounted and looked at Emma.

"Who is it?" Hook asked.

"What?" Emma asked.

"I know you're seeing someone else" Hook said. "The night at the ball. Your mother said it ended shortly after I left. You could have come back to our room. Then this morning, you were nowhere to be found. I even took Lightning here for a ride thinking maybe you went for a ride on the trail. You didn't. You were nowhere to be found."

"I'm sorry" Emma said. "I love you, but more as a friend."

"Then why did you marry me?" Hook asked.

"Because I told myself that I loved you" Emma said. "I told myself that it was right. You are a great guy and you deserve someone who will love you and I have no doubt that she is out there somewhere just waiting for you."

Hook had tears building in his eyes.

"Who is he?" Hook asked. "August? I saw him eyeing you at the ball."

"It's not August" Emma said. "It's Regina."

"Well this is a new low" Hook said. "My wife is leaving me for another woman."

"I am sorry" Emma said. "I have felt this way about Regina since I met her, but I told myself that it could never happen. I can't keep lying to myself or anyone else anymore."

"Well, I wish you and Regina all the best" Hook said. "I'll have my stuff out of the castle by tonight."

Hook walked back into the castle and Emma took Lightning's reins to walk him back into the stables.

Snow walked into the stables to see Emma locking the stall door.

"We need to talk" Snow said.

"Are you actually going to listen to what I have to say?" Emma asked. "Or are you just going to accuse Regina of putting some kind of spell on me because there is no way I could ever love her?"

"So, you actually have feelings for Regina?" Snow asked.

"I love her" Emma said. "I have since I met her."

"It's just an infatuation" Snow said. "In time, this will pass."

"No it won't" Emma said. "I love Regina and she loves me. I really want you to be okay with it."

"Well, I'm not" Snow said.

"Can I ask you something?" Emma asked.

"Of course" Snow said.

"If I had fallen in love with any other woman, would you still disapprove?" Emma asked. "Or is it just Regina that you disapprove of?"

Snow didn't say anything.

"You are ashamed that your daughter is attracted to women, aren't you?" Emma said. "I just don't understand it. You were so supportive of Red following her heart to Dorothy, so why can't you show that same support for your own daughter?"

"It's not proper for a princess to be in love with another woman" Snow said, sounding a lot more like a queen than she ever had before.

"Are you kidding me?" Emma snapped. "Newsflash mother, I am not a princess. And if being a princess means that I can't be in a relationship with a woman I have loved for years, then I never want to be a princess. Screw the crown. The kingdom can find itself a new leader. I am sorry that I am such a disappointment to you, not only as a princess, but as a daughter too."

Emma ran out of the stables and back into the castle.
