Plans

As he watched the whelp flee into the tree line he could only grit his teeth, he wanted to chase the boy down and beat the sense back into him. Yet he knew it would be a mute point, the boy had always been stubborn...

Turning on his heel he paused as he caught sight of the fire rat robe, it had been gifted to the boy's mother by their father and in turn had been passed down to the boy himself...it would make sense that it be passed down to his own pup. It was quite literally the least he could do.

So it was with an inaudible sigh that he grasped the red fabric between his fingers, he would be sure to have Jaken wash it before it was given to the miko to give to her pup, it reeked of the whelp and it was a scent that her pup would not need to learn.

Before he returned to the small village he would have to pay Bokusenō a visit, as she was pupped by a hanyou he had no idea what her pregnancy would entail and the old tree demon had been around for so long that if anyone knew what to expect it would be him. Should the old tree demon be at a loss then he would have to treat her pregnancy like that of a hanyou...

Already his mind was racing, he would have to find a way to keep the miko and her pups safe. Once word got out that he was stepping up to care for her and the pups, as his half brother had abandoned them, there would be many that would try to use them to get to him. While he knew she was more than capable of holding her own he also knew that pregnancy did many odd things to females.

The stories of his mothers rampages and emotional breakdowns when she was pupped with him were legendary.

It would be easier to move the small pack to the stronghold but he knew she would not want that. She was stubborn, almost more than her pup's father... That was one battle he did not want to partake in. Instead he would make it a priority to patrol around the village whenever he could.

He would spread his scent around hoping that it would be enough to deter any would be rogue demons. He would also move Jaken to the small village under the guise of keeping track of Rin.

He wasn't a fool, he knew the miko would object to being treated like a child that needed constant supervision. He had to tread carefully, it was an odd feeling. He normally did as he pleased yet here he was making plans and plotting as if he was trying to win a war.

Amusement flashed in his eyes as he took to the skies, what was it about this woman that made him think, say, and do things he never thought he would?
