Love: Love the sinner

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

A/N, Summary: Yes, these are revised editions of the Slerra Drabbles. I added parts to the originals so that they would make more sense, or I just ignored some. Either way, it has undertones of Slerra, and if you don't like it, don't read it. :) Thank you!

"Slade's right; you have no friends."

Slade watches as Terra's jaw drops in shock and grief, but it doesn't stop him from commanding quietly, "Apprentice." She closes her mouth, and walks backwards until she almost walks into him. Slade puts one hand on her shoulder to steady her, and they walk down the hallway and out of the hall of mirrors.

When they hear the smash of a mirror, Slade takes his hand from her shoulder, and for a moment, she almost wishes he'd kept it there, as she hears Beast Boy screaming, shouting out of rage. Beast Boy's last words to her echo in her head as she lets a lone tear roll down her cheek.

"Don't cry over him." Slade's response is sure and immediate, and cuts her off quickly by adding "There was no love between you two, trust me. He would have tried to keep you from leaving if-"

"I am not crying over him," she says with a finality she doesn't feel, brushing her hand across her eyes and cheek quickly anyway. She doesn't care if he's mad that she interrupted him, or that she is so obviously lying to him; she just wants to get as far away from him as possible, away from any man-or boy-who has gotten too close to her, too soon.

She walks faster, away from him, closes her eyes to block out the images of Beast Boy-from the rides, from the photo-booth, from the Ferris wheel (especially from there), because somehow, knowing that Slade knows now makes it worse.

She can tell that he's staring at her from behind his mask again, and she just ignores it. "If I can't see it," she whispers to herself, quietly enough so that Slade can't hear her, and lets her tears flow free.
