Chapter 62 Liliech Gym Battle
After using the keys to the elevator, they finally reach Wendy's place.
Wendy: Hello again, Ash and Alice. I hope you liked Technicolor Forest.
Ash: We did enjoy ourselves a lot in that place.
Wendy: As I told you before, I'm Wendy, Ceolis's Bug leader and owner of the Silk Studio fashion brand. Would you like to know how Silk Scarves and a lot of our other products are made?

Wendy: My first Pokemon is Nylon!
She sends out a Galvantula, and Ash goes for Cinderace for his first Pokemon. Galvantula sets up the Sticky Web to trap Cinderace once it uses Flame Charge, and it also uses Thunder Wave to paralyze it.
Ash: Cinderace! Pyro Ball to burn those webs!
Then it manages to kick the fire rock at the webs, destroying them, and then it goes for Bounce to deal a lot of damage.
Wendy: Use Thunder!
Wendy commands and the attack hits Cinderace, but Cinderace is still standing as it goes for Double Edge, finally knocking out the Pokemon.
Wendy: Looks like you are battling just like your mother. My second Pokemon is Velvet!
The second Pokemon is Scolipede, and Ash goes for Drifblim for this battle. It is a good thing that it is a Flying Type so that the Earthquake is not going to affect the Flying Type Pokemon. It uses Swords Dance to raise its ATK stat, and then it goes for Poison Jab, which poisons the Drifblim. Drifblim goes for Hypnosis, which causes the Pokemon to fall asleep, and it goes for the Psychic attack, knocking out the half Poison Type Pokemon.
Wendy: Wool!, show them no mercy!
The third Pokemon is Volcarona, one of the strongest Bug Type Pokemon.
Lillie: I see why we have to be careful of this Pokemon...it has the Weakness Policy...
And Drifblim goes for the Air Slash, which activates the item's effect, and Drifblim is defeated by Heat Wave.
Ash: I'm sorry, Drifblim. (Recalls Drifblim and takes out another Pokeball) Sudowoodo! I choose you!
Wendy: (Sees Sudowoodo out on the field.) Well, a Rock Type. But too bad for you, Wool! Giga Drain!
Just then, Sudowoodo has been sucked some energy inside it, and the Weakness Policy also does a lot of boost in the move. In the end, Volcarona is defeated by Stone Edge, but it is also defeated by the Burn from Heat Wave.
Wendy: Silk, you're next.
The fourth Pokemon is Leavanny, and Ash realizes the pattern of the nicknames is based on materials for clothing. He switches to Noivern to battle. Leavanny uses Swords Dance and Agility to speed up and raise the Attack stats, but it is defeated when Noivern goes for the four-times Super Effective Hurricane.
Wendy: Looks like I'm fighting a losing battle, but then again, you are Delia's son. Leather, I need your help!
The fifth Pokemon is Vespiquen, and Ash goes for Pikachu. Vespiquen uses Defend Order and Heal Order to raise its defenses, but Pikachu is trying hard to deal damage to this Pokemon. Even though Pikachu has been hit with Attack Order, it still manages to defeat Vespiquen with the Thunderbolt.
Ash: Pikachu, you did it.
Just then, he is surprised to see Pikachu also fall and faint.
Ash: What's wrong?
Wendy: (Smirks) I use the trick that your mother taught me, and that is Destiny Bond.
Ash: (Confused) Destiny Bond...you mean my Mom likes to use that move?

Her final Pokemon is Ribombee. Ash goes for Bisharp for the final Pokemon. Because of Dark Type, Ribombee can't use Psychic, but the Dazzling Gleam and Pollen Puff is dealing quite some damage to the Pokemon. But Bisharp uses Iron Head to slam at the Pokemon, causing it to flinch, and in the end, it is defeated by Guillotine.
Wendy: Your Pokemon shine as bright as your badges! (Recalls Ribombee) That was dazzling! You really are Delia's son. You've earned the Thread Badge.
Ash takes the badge from the leader and thanks to her.
Lillie: Congratulations, Ash. You won the badge again.
Ash: Yeah. This is the eleventh one.
Wendy: Emily said she'd be at Inoset Island, so don't keep her waiting! I'm sure you'll both love the Sea Star Society!
Both: We will.
After that's done, they head outside to see Delia waiting for them.
Delia: So how did your Gym Battle go?
Ash: (Shows her the badge) Wendy is strong, but I still won. What about Aunt Pandora?
Delia: We did talk about the incident at the Underwater Hotel. I didn't mention her being the leader of Team Portal, but she has been wary about it when we are discussing.
