Chapter 63 Ocean Coast
The next day, Ash and Lillie are now on the other side of the Ocean Coast. In the morning, Ash and Lillie find themselves naked on the bed, as they didn't remember what happened last night. They quickly dress up as they go to the northern part of the Inoset Island, where Gladion and Emily are waiting for them.
Emily: It looks like we can go on now! I heard the Underwater Hotel is back in business too!
Lillie: Yeah, Ash and I got to stay at the Penthouse.
Emily: (Widens her eyes in surprise) You two are so lucky. You really got the best service in the Underwater Hotel...we just got a normal room yesterday...
Ash: Well, there is only one Master Bed, so you wouldn't have a place to sleep if you are with us as well.
Gladion: (Glares at Ash) Does that mean you two are sleeping together?
Lillie: (Stands in front of Ash to protect him) Well, we already confess with each other, so I don't think it is a problem for us.
Emily: (Jokes) Well, I'm not ready to be an aunt, yet.
Ash and Lillie are nervous as they might have done that last night, but they aren't going to tell them about that.
Emily: Anyway, enough teasing for now. We'll meet you at Ocean Coast.
After Gladion and Emily leaves, Lillie sighs in relief and so does Ash.
Lillie: I'm glad she didn't ask more about it.
Ash: Me too.
Then the two of them decide to use their Water Type Pokemon to surf through the Sea of Knowledge to the ocean coast.
The Pokemon they can find in the Sea of Knowledge are Wailmer, Tentacool, Frillish, Cramorant, and Alomomola. For the Old Rod, they can find Magikarp, for the Good Rod, they can find Goldeen and Seaking, and for the Super Rod, they can find Wishiwashi, Clauncher, Luvdisc, and Bruxish. Ash and Lillie capture a Cramorant and a Clauncher, and they train them to become a Clawitzer, while Pikachu is angry to become Cramorant's missiles all the time.
They also take a rest at the shore as they find some Pincurchins there, and they find a sign that says, "Only the strongest trainer's Poliwag can come here.
Lillie: How is a sign supposed to know whether you're the strongest trainer or if you have a Poliwag?
Ash: (Shrugs) Beats me.
After continuing surfing, they see some simulations on the water
Lillie: What are these Simulations doing here?
Ash: I don't know, but something is not right here.
Just as they arrive at the Ocean Coast, they see a girl that is about 8 years old is stopping the simulations with her Azumarill
Carol: Hi! I'm Carol! Ceolis' Fairy Type Leader!
Ash: Wait, you are Carol?
They heard the name from Agne and Barker in the past, about how she is young but strong, not only that, they heard that she is friends with Gina and Isabelle, but they didn't know that Carol is just a little girl.
Carol: I've heard about you! You're basically a soup or hero! So could you help me out, too? You see these simulation thingies before, right? I kinda wanted to see if they could swim, so I brought some out here! Some of them actually made it down to the Sea Stars! But the rest got stuck up here! There's a lot to collect...they're blocking off the east exit from Ocean Coast, too!
Ash: That sounds terrible.
Carol: Could you please help me collect the ones here?
Lillie: Sure.
Ash and Lillie are trying to collect the simulations, and they are much heavier than they thought. Once the five of them are collected, they are sitting on the shore as they are tired.
Carol: Yay~ That's all of them on this side of the sea! Thanks for your help, soup or hero! I'll help with the other side now! (Leaves)
Ash: (Turns to Lillie) This day is weird.
Lillie: I know. But I am not going to question it anymore.
They decide to explore the Ocean Coast first, as they enter a house and find a woman who has nothing to do.
Woman: I recently finished writing a book, and now I don't really know what to do with all this time...Hey, do you think the Waste Disposal Plant would hire me? I used to be a ranger, so my experience might be useful there.
They decide to help the woman out as they go to the waste disposal plant, and they find some rangers there working as one of them greets them.
Ranger: Welcome to the Waste Disposal Plant! If you have the time, would you mind doing us a favor? Some of the people who used to work here were moles for Team Portal. We've found and fired them, but that means we could use some replacements. We still have a good number of workers, but we could always use more, especially in this line of work. If you find anyone who's willing, send them here!
Ash and Lillie nod as they go back to the house to inform the woman.
Woman: They're looking for workers at the Waste Disposal Plant? I'll be right there!
Once they get to the plant again, the ranger is glad to have someone to help them, so he gives them a Marble as thanks.
Ash: Judging by the Waste Disposal Plant...I think I can tell that the Gym here is going to be Poison Type.
Lillie: Which means you're going to battle Tomas soon enough.
Emily: Ash! Lillie!
The two of them find Gladion and Emily sitting next to Quinn, so they decide to find them.
Quinn: Well, I'm a little surprised you actually sought me out. Considering the...conflicts of interest we've had, I wouldn't have blamed you at all if you just ignored me. So, thanks for showing up.
Emily: It's no problem. You're not the first admin we've seen outside of Team Portal. Actually, you're the last. As long as you're not actively causing trouble, we can get along.
Ash: She's right. We'll be enemies again whenever your next mission is, but for now, everything you've said sounds believable."
Gladion: So you were going to tell us about Ocean Coast, right?"
Quinn: Yes, I'd be happy to! So, as I said at Lovely Lake, Ocean Coast is where I was born. In an environment like this, you can see how I grew to be interested in diving. The Sea of Knowledge has two parts, and Ocean Coast is right in the middle. The part east of here, which you've already been through, connects Ocean Coast to Inoset Island. And the west half leads to Crimson Path. If you've heard of Belinda and Belladonna, our first Dark and Poison Gym Leaders, that's where they live.
Lillie: We've read Belinda's diaries! I was kind of curious where she moved to with Belladonna.
Quinn: Well, to the north is our current Poison Leader, Tomas. The Hemola Swamp is his gym and area of study. I believe he's busy right now though, so if you want to challenge him you'll have to wait.
Gladion: That's fine. We were on our way to the Sea Star Society anyway, so we can wait!
Quinn: I'm sure you already know, but you can reach the Sea Star Society by diving a little to the west. Finally, going south will take you to Staryu Valley and Serenity Seaside. And now that the geography's out of the way...Here in Ocean Coast, we care a lot about recycling and keeping the streets and water clean, especially for the Sea Stars. Ceolis' main waste plant is here, which is maintained by a branch of Rangers. When I was running the BCC, we had spies there. A lot of the materials we collected, we sent here as a cover. We were mainly looking for that bottle, but if we found anything else that could be useful, of course, we'd take that too.
Ash: I'm guessing you won't tell us what the bottle is for...But...there's something else I'm kind of curious about. Since Team Portal is trying not to draw attention to itself, wouldn't your home be one of the last places you'd consider going to?
Quinn: I've gotten some suspicious stares, but it's not like me being where I live is out of the ordinary. I think it's the best place to be for right now. Anyway, I've told you pretty much everything there is about Ocean Coast. If you need me for anything else, I'm about to go underwater at Staryu Valley for a Vaporeonwave Concert!
After that, Quinn leaves them, and Ash is confused about what the Vaporeonwave is for.
Emily: That was some pretty neat info we got! So, what do you want to do now? I know we could have a look around Ocean Coast, and I do want to do that eventually, but...I'm really excited to visit the Sea Stars! That's where I'd like to go first. We'll have to come back anyway to battle Tomas.
Ash: Sure, then let's go there."
Before they head to the Sea Star Society, they pass by a garbage dump and they hear the voice again.
Mysterious Voice: This guy standing in front of us is talking about a move called Dumpster Dive...little does he know that I've mastered that technique!
As they are going there, they find Delicia and Crolea there.
Emily: Delicia! And...actually, I don't think I've met the person you're with.
Lillie: Crolea! It is good to see you again as well.
Crolea: (Turns to Ash and Lillie) Oh, hi, Ash and Lillie! i assume that those two are your siblings? Emily and Gladion I assume?
Gladion: You know us?
Ash: Well, she is Crolea, we met a lot of times, she is actually a spy for Team Portal, her mother is also the Steel Type leader of Ceolis.
Emily: Oh, okay. It's nice to meet you, Crolea! Are you two going to visit the Sea Stars, too?
Crolea: We are. Since Team Portal is taking some time off, we can just have fun for right now.
Delicia: (Nods) Chocolate eclairs.
Crolea: Delicia wants to try the food, of course. I want to go to the Sea Star Shrine. That's my favorite place to visit there. It always had the mystical and soothing feel to it! Ceolis famously described it as such; "No matter how chaotic it is elsewhere in the world, the Sea Star Shrine is a sanctuary of serenity." I have to agree with that!
Ash and Emily flinch a little at the mention of the name, but they decide not to say anything.
Lillie: Wow. That's a really beautiful way of putting it.
Gladion: I've heard no one knows where Ceolis is now, but we'd really like to meet him...
Crolea: My mom's been the Steel Leader ever since the League was formed, so she met him. That was a long time before I was born, though. I'm 16, soon to be 17.
Ash: That is younger than us.
Crolea: So anyway, since we're all here, why not explore the Sea Star Society together? I've been there a few times, so I can be your guide on what there is to do!
Ash: Sounds like fun, let's go.
Then the group of six decide to dive underwater to go to the Sea Star Society.
Here is a new chapter, and I decide to stop here so that the next chapters will be all about the Sea Star Society. It is an important place of the region as it also has a lot of things to do here as well, trust me when I played this game and this place gives me a lot of time to explore.
