Naruto stood across one of the most powerful men in the elemental nations, the Raikage's large frame and dark skin contrasted heavily with his own leaner build and fair skin, especially given that he was only 13.
A looked at him with a frown, analyzing him carefully, Naruto on the other hand looked relaxed, arms by his sides and a small smile on his lips.
"You seem awfully calm for a Konoha ninja in the middle of Kumo" A said.
Naruto shrugged and said.
"I'm right in front of a Kage and in the middle of his village, being nervous is both pointless and counterproductive, it's not like I can do anything to you and it would make me look suspicious"
"So would looking too calm" A pointed out.
"I suppose so, but I hold enough cards to make sure I can get out of here with a positive outcome"
"Oh? Care to show me what those cards are?"
"I'm an Uzumaki" Naruto said. "Not full-blooded unfortunately but those aren't really around anymore so I'm the next best thing, and given how your village likes having clans and how your predecessor tried to kidnap another Uzumaki, who coincidentally was my mother, I'm sure having a willing Uzumaki, especially a male one, to restart the clan under Kumo is too good to pass up"
"An Uzumaki?" A said with a raised eyebrow. "With blonde hair?"
"That brings me to my second card" Naruto said. "My father, I'm sure you know him, went by Minato Namikaze before he got himself killed by the Kyuubi"
"You do look a lot like him" A conceded. "But still, you expect me to just believe your claims that the yellow flash is your father? He never had any children"
"I learned it directly from the one who killed him" Naruto said, lifting his shirt and channeling chakra to manifest the seal. "My third card, I'm the Kyuubi Jinchuriki"
A took a step back in shock before he scowled and took a battle stance.
"So that's Konoha's plan!?" He shouted as ANBU fell around Naruto, weapons ready. "Unleash the Kyuubi inside my village!?"
"I think you'll find that both I and the Kyuubi are less than inclined to do Konoha's bidding" Naruto said with distaste.
"And I'm supposed to take your word for it?" A questioned.
"Do you really believe I could release the Kyuubi before you killed me?" Naruto countered.
A considered it for a moment before he nodded and signaled for the ANBU to return to positions, he then looked at Naruto and asked.
"So what? You want to join Kumo I take it?"
"That's right" Naruto said. "I don't really like Konoha all that much you see, they always treated me like shit and acted like I was to blame for the Kyuubi's attack even though when the Kyuubi was attacking I had just been born, and Kumo seems to treat its jinchuriki well enough, so I figured I'd join you guys, the Kyuubi said that the Hachibi had a lot of good things to say about your village and he never lied to me before"
"I see" A said, then smiled. "Welcome to Kumo then!"
"Great, just two things I'd like to ask"
"Go ahead"
"First I'd like for my clan to be officially recognized by Kumo, a clan house, me as clan head, that sort of thing, also I get that I have to repopulate the clan but don't do the whole forcing women to become my concubines unwillingly and have them keep making more babies, I'll repopulate the clan but I'll do it humanely"
A scowled and said.
"Don't worry about it, I hate that sort of thing just as much as you"
"Good, now for the second thing" Naruto withdrew a scroll. "Keep it under wraps for now, nobody in Konoha knows I'm aware of my heritage and I'd like to master this jutsu before I have to deal with their kidnapping attempts to get me back"
"Having the son of the yellow flash working for Kumo would bring a lot of business" A said with a frown. "And Konoha knows that if they reveal that they lost their Jinchuriki they'd be targeted as easy pickings just as much as we would for having 3 Bijuu. Why should I?"
"Because this is the jutsu that gave the Yellow Flash his title" Naruto said with a smirk. "And I'd be more than glad to teach it to others once I master it"
A looked at the scroll with wide eyes before he burst out laughing.
"You and I" He said between laughs. "Are gonna get along fine"
Naruto flipped the scroll and caught it midair before he laughed.
"Good"

This is an idea I had based on a reply I got on Reddit, Naruto gets the Yin-Kurama instead of the Yang one, instead of boundless energy and a happy-go-lucky demeanor he gets Minato's intelligence and talent as well as a more cooperative Kyuubi and a confident personality.
I was in doubt between the Wave Arc and the Sasuke Retrieval Arc for when he leaves so I just didn't mention it.
