The night of Halloween, is about to turn bad, or will it? Will the heroes even be the ones who will see the real problem? Will someone else take the charge and sort this out before it turns into chaos? We'll have to find out, in this chapter. Also, Happy Halloween everyone! Enjoy reading this my readers!
Spells and Louds.
Chapter 818: The Goosebumps in Halloween.
(October 31. Royal Woods Cemetery.)
We go to this place, the local graveyard of the town and right now, we see the members of the Young Morticians Club, and all of them have gathered here to see if they have what they need. Haiku looks to her friends/club members: Dante, Boris, Morpheus and Persephone and all of them look ready for what is to come. "We all seem prepared now."
Boris nods. "We have all we need for the sacred ritual tonight, but we are missing one more thing."
Dante also agrees and has the item. "This small relic that the Crypt Lord has allowed us to have, a jewel once used by a powerful Lich, slain in the hands of Nightelves."
"This will allow us to make commune with the ancestors of Lucy Loud, well one ancestor" said Morpheus. "The one known as Lucille Loud, and she can explain the real cause of her demise."
Persephone then readies the book. "Let us begin and..." She then looks around. "Wait my friends, we are missing someone. Where is our good friend and co-president of the club, Lucy Loud?"
They all look around for her, and so does Haiku. "Strange, she wouldn't be late to come here. Perhaps she used the gargoyle she kept as a gift from last time, it is the night of scares and darkness, and the gargoyle would be awake by now. I question why it only awakens at this time of night."
"Everyone..." They see Lucy, and she is running down the pathway and she looks concerned, and then Crobat carries her to the others and she places her on top of the table. "Hold this ritual that we have been planning for days, something terrible has happened!"
They all gasp and then Persephone asks. "They cancelled Vampires of Melancholia?"
Lucy shakes her head in denial. "No, something else that... Well, that would sound tragic and horrible, but something..." She then shows them the binded transcript of Goosebumps: Revenge of Halloween. "Something that I have done..."
(Flashback.)
Lucy smiles at what she has planned today, now normally she would setup the usual haunted corn maze, but not tonight. Tonight, she has something else special planned, and she's letting Liam Honnicut and his family make the haunted corn maze, even though Liam is part of the Royal Woods Middle School Halloween Party.
Lola, Lana and Lisa went off Trick or Treating, and they're mom and dad are escorting them. Luan is at the High School Halloween Costume Party, and Lori is also back, but she's at Great Lakes City checking out what Bobby and his familia is planning.
Lucy is the only one in the house, and soon it'll be empty by the time she leaves with her Pokémon Crobat. She has the binded transcript no longer locked and then she sighs. 'The others will be deeply disappointed when they find out that this had nothing inside.' Then she hears some odd sounds coming from the outside, and she slowly peeks through the curtains and looks at the backyard.
What she sees is something her mind didn't think would happen, there are monster there, and they all seem familiar from what she read, from the books called: Goosebumps!
The Abominable Snowman from the book called Goosebumps: The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena.
The Werewolf known as Will Blake book Goosebumps: The Werewolf of Fever Swamp.
The Graveyard Ghouls that appeared in the Goosebumps 2000 book: Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls.
The Lawn Gnomes who appeared in the book Goosebumps: Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes.
The Scarecrows that appeared in the book Goosebumps: The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight.
The Bog Monster that appeared in the book Goosebumps: How to Kill a Monster.
Seeing all of these monsters has Lucy confused and concerned. "No, it cannot be." She then hears another voice, the one speaking with the monsters, and so she takes a closer look from her window and what she sees is a total shocker for her Gothic Mind. "No, it cannot be..."
Lucy sees who is speaking and that someone is none other than Slappy the Dummy from the Goosebumps book called: The Night of the Living Dummy, and he is standing on Lola's toy car as he speaks with the other monsters.
"My friends, we have been released and freed from our prison from which we have been carved out of, and now... We can begin the plan, to spread all of Halloween to the rest of the world and ensure it stays Halloween forever, for us to roam and do as we please!"
They all roar, growl, hiss and cheer, and the gnomes jump with joy at this moment, though one falls and breaks and they all stop and look to the shattered gone, and Slappy sighs. "Yeah, next time don't do that. You all know how fragile you all are!"
Slappy then looks to the rest. "Anyway, there is one thing that can stop us and that is the Binded Transcript and..." He sees them confused, and this annoys him. "Jeez, the book from which was locked up, that is the one thing that can stop us. Should we open it, or someone else show it to us, then we're going to be trapped inside of it, and never come back!"
"We need to get that book and destroy it, or else my... Our plan will not work." they all agree, but Slappy continues. "But the real issue is, the beings who are meant to defend this world. When I woke up, I went to their computer and looked up on some stuff, and these Royal Defenders are going to be a problem for us, and we need to take them down, when they least expect it."
All of them can tell, that this is now a large task, for them to use what they are capable of. "So, you all split up and go to the High School, Middle School and some of you check this house, in case that little sad girl left the book here, and as for me... Well, there is a special place from which I looked up, and it might contain what we need."
All the monsters nod, and they head off to their task, Slappy walks away from the place through the fence over the backyard, and he slowly makes his way to find a ride. Lucy hides and she is shocked. "No, they can't... I need to get help, and fast!" She then leaves her room and she goes down the stairs and out the front door and she sees no monsters. "Crobat, we need to go now!"
Lucy's Crobat is upside down and he flies off and follows Lucy as she rides her bike, but Crobat also notices something as he is flying, something big lumbering through the forest in the distance and it has antenna's sticking out as it is walking around.
(End Flashback.)
"And that is what happened, this book is the key to send them back" said Lucy as she shows them the binded transcript. "Lucy looks to the thing in her hand and she is upset. "I never should have opened this! Dang it, why did I find that stupid key?!"
Haiku goes over. "Lucy, calm down. This was all my fault, I found the book and all of this happened. But, we can undo this mistake. The Royal Defenders might be too occupied to even notice what is going on, so... We're gonna need to do this, ourselves."
Lucy looks to the others, and all the Goth's she knows are with her, and all of them are ready for this.
"We were all the ones who found that mansion, if we had never gone, then Haiku wouldn't have found that book" said Boris.
"We all wanted to do something, and that something was to speak with the dead" said Dante. "But instead we woke up something horrible."
"Even though we are into the arts of darkness and such, we wouldn't wish for this kind of harm to come to the family we have" said Persephone.
"We're all growing up from the times we had in being dark and brooding, and now we wish to undo what has been done" said Morpheus.
Haiku then speaks. "You may have opened it, but we were the ones who sought it out by mistake, and so we will help you undo this, all of this. The Royal Defenders do not need to be involved, we can do this. We can clean up this Halloween Revenge."
Lucy smiles and she nods. "Very well, gather around and prepare. I have a plan to take down Slappy and save everyone and all of Halloween..."
(Royal Woods High School.)
The school of the High School Teens is filled with cheers and enjoying sounds, as music is being played by the band, Luna and her crew, the Luna-Tics: Luna, Sam, Sully and Mazzy, and they are doing this as a way to do one last awesome Halloween Performance before they gotta take off when the school year is done, and everyone cheers for them.
Here's the kicker, they're costumes! Sully is dressed like a Forest Troll from the Darkspear Tribe, Mazzy is dressed like the Elite Tauren Chieftain on the Drums! Sam is dressed like a Blood Elven Bass lady! Then we have the leader of the band, Luna and she is dressed as a female version of the Lich King! So, Storm! Earth and Fire, heed their call and rock on with the spirits of the night!
But they're all too busy enjoying this, to not even notice the front doors open and coming through are the monsters sent by Slappy. We have Will Blake the Werewolf and The Graveyard Ghouls, and they look around and see that this party is off the hook!
As the music is going, one of the ghouls is beating his head to the song, and then the ghoul nudges him to stop, but then the Werewolf howls and points to the stage, and they see them. Luna Spellman and her band mates, and even Sam Sharp, and she also has the Runeblade with her.
They finally have their target, and they're about to engage, but then the Wolfman stops and sniffs the air. He smells something... Delicious! He barks and pants and then he leaves the Ghouls, and they're all confused. What the heck just happened?
The Werewolf leaves the gym and he takes the backdoor and he sees it, right there on the ground... Something truly beautiful and delicious! A Freshly cooked steak, with dog food sprinkled all over, and bits of bacon on top, and covered in gravy... Sweet, delicious beautiful gravy.
The Werewolf looks to the food and feels as if... He has seen his one true love, and he slowly hovers off the ground and he lets his nose guide him and he reaches his prize and picks up the plate with the food and he sniffs it, relishing each scent into his canine nostrils. To the Werewolf Will Blake... This is the greatest night he has ever had!
Then a metal cage reveals from the ground and he is trapped, the top is covered by metal and he is on a wagon and the one who set this up, is none other than Persephone. "You went for it, and you got caught oh great werewolf beast."
The Werewolf looks around, he should be angry... But who cares? He got something special and he slowly takes his time and eats this fine delicacy. Persephone sees this and is kinda confused, but she doesn't mind. "Well, might as well let you enjoy this..." She then pulls the wagon with the help of Gengar.
Then Persephone sees a drone carrying a cardboard image of Luna Frost, and the Ghouls come out through the back door and on the roof is Dante, controlling it. "They were tasked to get the superhero with demon and ice powers, and so they got it."
They all follow the floating cutout model and they follow it into a hole and are stuck. The Ghouls look around and then look up and Dante and Persephone wave to them, this makes them growl and try to crawl out, but then one of them hits the trip wire. "Oh... No..." The net below is pulled and these undead guys are carried out by a large net and land onto the cage and is clamped down by someone unseen, and that is Haunter.
Haunter laughs with joy and so does Gengar. The ghouls all sigh with disappointment, they didn't do the task. Dante and Persephone smile seeing this and so they head off to meet to where Lucy is, with the caged monsters, the upset and struggling Ghouls and the still eating, Werewolf and he is enjoying this meal, and relishing each and every sweet meaty taste, this guy is in meat heaven.
(Royal Woods Middle School.)
We go to the Middle School and the party looks dang wicked awesome, with so many preteens dressed as different monsters and iconic creatures, and all of them having some fun and getting ready for the winner of the whole party, and chances it might be one of Lincoln's friends.
The monsters looking through the windows are The Scarecrows and The Bog Monster, and they look around for the targets, and they see them. Lincoln, Linka and Jordan, members of the Royal Defenders and they're dressed for the night. Lincoln is dressed as a Death Knight, Linka is dressed as a Primal Sunflower and Jordan is dressed as Lara Croft.
The Bog monster then motions the scarecrows to go and ambush from the right side, and he will take the window. The scarecrows nod and take that route, but as they reach the side of the school, they stop and back away from what they fear, fire!
Slowly going towards them is Chandelure and Boris and even Boris has a torch. "What seems to be the problem? You do not like a ghostly chandelier?" The scarecrows try to flee, but they all trip and they end up falling apart as they hit the ground, they try to get themselves back together again.
But Boris takes all of their heads and he stuffs them into a basket, and the remains are being burned by Chandelure, and this makes the scarecrow heads scream in agony. "Yes... Yes. You're screams make this night, the best I have ever had."
Meanwhile, the Bog Monster sees the door that would lead to taking the boy, Lincoln who is nearby. He prepares to open it, but the door is kicked open on the other side and its Morpheus and he sees the Bog monster getting up, and it roars at the Goth boy, but he is not frightened by this.
"You think that could scare me?" Morpheus snaps his fingers and a flock of crows, ravens and bats comes in and they surround the Bog monster who tries to fend them off, Morpheus then uses what Lucy gave him and he snaps his fingers and the swarms of spooky flying animals flies off and he throws the small blue gem.
It hits the center of the Bog monster and it detonates into ice, and the Bog monster is frozen in place, and unable to move or do anything. Morpheus is less than amused and he lets his pet crow sit on his shoulder. "Well, we did it. These monsters are pathetic."
(The Loud House.)
Back at the Loud House, the Army of Garden Gnomes go around and look for the source of any form of energy and magic, mostly what they have been tasked to do is seek out the transcript from which the girl Lucy has, and with the Garden Gnome army is the Abominable Snowman, and the big guy opens the back door, but he sees the gnomes take the doggy door.
The Abominable snowman tries to go through the door, but he can't fit. This makes him upset and he tries again, but the Gnomes notice this and one of them throws a spoon at him and he looks to the little army and all them motion him to go around. The Abominable Snowman doesn't like being told, but he doesn't have a choice, he can't get through.
The Abominable snowman is headed to the front of the house, and when he gets there he sees something he loves, a large bowl of candy and so he goes over and he eats this candy, he craves this stuff so much! But as he eats and eats, something doesn't feel right and he realizes... Oh, he falls to the ground and passes out, and a figure appears in front of the monster. "For good measure." The figure shoots a tranquilizer dart and he is knocked out.
Inside the gnomes look around for the Goth girl, known as Lucy. They also notice that the pets of the house are nowhere to be seen as well, and so they continue their search and they see so many pictures of the family, and even some of their trophies and all of them are feeling mischievous and they wanna do some damage to the place.
But then they hear a whistling sound, and they stop and see something that grabs they're hearts. Female gnomes by the door, and they're only 5 of them. All of them have heart eyes and they race towards them and they drop the sharp weapons they have.
But when they go over and begin to argue on who gets the ladies, they all begin to beat each other up and they don't even notice the sleeping Abominable Snowman, soon... Only one gnome remains, but he stops and sees... The 5 female gnomes have been shattered in the conflict and he goes to his knees and cries, then he gets shattered by Haiku and a cricket bat.
"I am not a fan of little things meant to falsely scare off witches." She then grabs a broom and dust pan and she sweeps up their shattered remains and she places them all into some terrariums with sticky substance all over, she then looks to the Abominable Snowman who is fast asleep.
"Now, how the heck do I get you to move?" She then hears a farting from it. "Gross." She then sees the others, Boris and Morpheus have the basket of scarecrow heads and the frozen Bog monster, Persephone and Dante, and they have the ensnared Ghouls, who are now in the cage and pulling it is the werewolf?
Haiku is confuse. "Someone explain to me what happened."
Persephone tells her. "On our way here, we kept feeing Will Blake the food, and he seemed to calm down and he became tamed, and he doesn't seem dangerous anymore." She then pets his head, and he barks from this. "He seems more of a Dogman than Wolfman."
Haiku smiles. "Perfect, he can help pull this thing." They all look to the Abominable Snowman. "Or we might need something else stronger and bigger."
(Royal Dawn.)
The neighborhood is looking quite festive, but right now someone is walking down the street and is looking quite pleased with himself as he has plans, and that someone or something is none other than Slappy the Dummy and he has his sights on something quite important.
He continues his way down the neighborhood and he sees it. "Ah, here it is. The Spellman-Lewis Mansion, a home with so much wonders, and something powerful within. A rare amulet from which would be able to empower the book and thus bring forth my army, and spread Halloween across the world, forever."
But then someone is there, from behind him. "You are not going into that house..." Slappy grins and he snickers, but when he turns around he's hit by a shovel and knocked to the tree, he gets back up and sees the small crack on the left side of his face, and he sees who did that, Lucy. "You are not going to... Wait, what the heck are you looking for in there anyway? The Runeblade isn't even there."
Slappy slowly gets back up. "Yes, I am aware of that you dummy. I am here for the other artifact called the Spell Amulet of Dark Incarnation. Given to Luna Frost by this ArchLich, I saw it on some online trending news about some moron named Boomer who posted it, and with this relic, I can make Halloween last, forever! Thus, we can enact my great plan!"
"To seek out that fool who cast us low, R.L Stein, and then to do as we please, destroy all the books he made, free more of our kind and take over your little world. Thus, everything is going to be all about us monsters, spreading Goosebumps all over your little pathetic world, and who's to say we would stop there? Why not, the whole multiverse?!"
Lucy didn't like this, Slappy is going too far and she can't let him do this. "I won't let you! You're not going to get away with this, I will beat you and make sure you go back to the binded transcript!" She has her shovel ready to destroy Slappy for good.
Slappy snickers. "Oh, how can you stop me, when you can't beat my partner?" He snaps his fingers, and a large claw is shown right next to Lucy. She turns around and she looks up and sees something giant that she read from a book, and what is this monster?!
The Giant Praying Mantis which is one of the six giant animatronic insects who appeared in the book Goosebumps: A Shocker on Shock Street.
"Oh, boy." Lucy then rolls away before the giant mantis could hit her, and then she tries to hit the leg with her shovel. "Crobat, stun him!" Crobat is in the air and he nods and he uses his abilities such as air slash and quick attack to take the giant mantis down and he even dodges and tries to go for the legs, and so does Lucy.
Slappy laughs at this. "Well, as much fun it would be to watch you get destroyed, I have something else to do. So, have fun with my friends... I have something else to handle and make use of..." He then walks away from the fight and he heads for the mansion.
"No!" Lucy then throws the shovel and this time it knocks off Slappy and he falls to the ground. Lucy then dodges another attack, but then the Mantis pins her this time, and then Crobat comes in to save her, but gets knocked away by the giant mantis. "Dang it!"
"You bet it, kid!" Lucy then sees Slappy and he has her shovel and he goes towards her. "That hurt, and look what you did to my good arm." He has no right arm. "No, before I do what I need to do, I am going to finish you off before you ruin my plans! Unfortunate it is for me to not say thank you, for releasing all of us and making this special Goosebumps crossover, possible!"
Lucy growls, but then she realizes something. When Lucy was pinned by her jacket, the mantis hit something and it's open and then she smiles. "Slappy, it is true that I released you and those monsters from the transcript, but I shall be the one who will send you all back!" She then reveals from the jacket, the book is with her and its open!
Slappy sees this. "What? No!" The book glows and the giant mantis backs away, but it's getting sucked into the book and it tries to flee, but it can't and the giant insect monster is getting sucked inside. "No!" Slappy tries to hit Lucy, but the little Goth girl grabs the shovel. "You will not stop me, you will not stop my plan!" He then jumps onto her, and he tries to go for the book, but this is what Lucy wanted.
Lucy then throws Slappy away. "So long, dummy!" Slappy is thrown onto the head of the giant mantis and it tries to flee from the book, but the legs and lower half are being sucked in and the both of them panic.
"No! I am not going in there!" But as Slappy is about to jump off the mantis, Crobat comes in and he does one big tackling blow onto the head of the mantis and this knocks Slappy the Dummy towards the book. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Slappy looks to where he is going and he dives head first, into the book, and the mantis soon follows and it closes.
Lucy sighs in relief, and she looks to the book she has and she sees the lock is still unlocked and she keeps it closed. "That's done. Now, where are the..." Lucy then sees the rest of her friends have arrived, using an amulet Lucy gave them for teleporting. "Oh, you all... What the heck happened?"
Haiku sighs. "We tamed the werewolf and he's nice. He won't stop being..." Will Blake the Werewolf licks her face, and her right eye twitches. "Affection..."
Lucy looks around, at all of these monsters, and she thinks about this. "My friends, we should try and enjoy this night together with what we have, as for these monsters... Let's contact someone to deal with this."

A/N: Well, looks like you don't need the Royal Defenders to clean up this mess, because all it took were a few Goth kids, and one smart Gothic Loud, sorry Slappy and friends, but ain't no freaking way you guys are gonna do whatever you want!
