Chapter 1: Chaos and Paranoia~ The two sisters.
A/N: Okay so here I go again. I have received two private messages and also a review where they are confused on which Sasuke is which. This is a genuine concern so I get it especially for those who do not have English as their native language. I don't want to confuse everyone too much. Therefore, I have decided to demarcate the canon Sasuke from the non-canon one. There will be many turns in the story where you may have many questions. Don't worry all those would be answered. I twist some of the plots and words for it is necessary to the story and also to delve deep into the minds of our characters. These characters are mysteries waiting to be resolved. If you are confused about something remember it is going to either be a hint or a foreshadowing. Believe me when I say I don't want to confuse you because the story is going to be roller coaster ride for you. The story may start as a light read but it will take a dark turn in the future. Every emotion, every word and every thought is there for a reason. They are not added just for fun, they are going to play out so pay attention to the minor details of the story. Now coming back to the issue I have decided to club some chapters together because otherwise this fanfic would be too long. Also from this on wards I am going to differentiate the two Sasuke's povs and if important other characters' pov would be mentioned too.

Hanabi was bored. No, scratch that she was pissed off. This was the first time she was stationed at the gates of Konoha on a guard duty. She as a Hyuga deemed it beneath her. Yes, there were other Hyugas who had been given guard duties in the past; including Hinata but come on I am the heiress. She conveniently forgot the part where Hinata was too given the same duty regardless of her title as a heiress. Hanabi felt that she was not cut out for the job but that lazy pornographic reader aka Hokage-sama announced that her eyes were perfect for the chore.
Exhaling, she focused on the chunin standing on the opposite side of her. He too was placed on patrolling duty along with her. His eyes were glazed with sleep and it looked like he was about to doze off when a high piercing sound came from far off distance. Hanabi immediately activated her bloodline limit and started scouting the area for any potential threat. She frowned noticing that the source of that dying toad like sound was made by none other than their village hero. The infamous team seven were heading their way now visible to her even without her Byakugan.
For some reason, Naruto was clutching his sore head courtesy of the pink haired kunoichi for her fist was still waving in the air. He was massaging it and Hanabi presumed that the injury was the reason for his scream. His cerulean eyes fell on the heiress of the Hyugas and he smiled.
"Ahhh ….Hinata's little sister. You are on the guard duty today. Hope you are doing a great job", said Naruto, meaning well.
It somehow ended up making her offended. Naruto had the ability to annoy almost every other female. Well except maybe Hinata.
Hanabi angrily replied, "My name is Hanabi and yes I am doing a great job standing as a guard".
Well Naruto also had the ability to not understand sarcasm. If it could be called an ability at all and so he smiled like a fool again and patted her head much to the dismay of the young Hyuga.
She never understood how he could be so dumb . He does not even get the hint that Hinata likes him so maybe he is retarted like the rest of the Konoha Twelve. Yes, everyone in the group had some social issue.
"Stop your petty show with the guards and move. I fucking want to sleep", spat Sasuke. Hanabi, if possible, became even more annoyed hearing him refer to her as a mere guard. Could he not have the decency to call her a Hyuga Guard? He looked sleep deprived and ready to kill anyone, at least in Hanabi's eyes. She noticed him only after he had made his presence known. He was that stealthy as a ninja should be unlike his loud companions. Byakugan did show him to her but she did not recognize his chakra pattern but she knew it to be him. Well now I do.
She heard about him but never saw him in these past two years, since his return to Konoha. Even after he helped them demolish their enemy, he wasn't fully trusted and so his entire body was littered with seals, the strongest one placed on his eyes. Hanabi did admit that these seals somehow looked like a fancy set of tattoos on him rather than ugly marks meant to keep him under looked peeved just as Hanabi was.
All these blabbering had made Sasuke even more restless. He just wanted to go to bed and pass the dreadful night. He felt nauseated like something was about to happen that may disturb the pace of his life, didn't matter if the pace of his so-called life was slow. He blamed his lack of sleep because of the mission but he knew the feelings nagging in his head, feelings that were too similar to the day when he was returning from the academy and found his whole clan dead or to the day when he found out about Itachi's sacrifice for him. Both the events had greatly disturbed his pace in life.
He didn't care for his stupid blonde friend's idle chit chat with the GHOST EYED girl or the time when his ears caught the words like party and Konoha Twelve filtering out of his friend's loud mouth before Sakura punched the shit out of him. He honestly didn't care and wanted to sleep off this thing that he was feeling.
"Shut Up! You are being an extra bitch today Sasuke. What is up with you?" shouted Naruto that irritated Sasuke even further. "Naruto!" bellowed Sakura and then a bit politely, "Are you feeling alright, Sasuke?"
Sasuke replied with his usual 'Hn' and disappeared, finally understanding if he stood there even for a second more, he would split his head in two.
This did not bid well with Naruto who looked furious because apparently this was the fifth time Sasuke had ditched them before the reporting to the Hokage and he alone had to report to Kakashi because Sakura went straight to her clinic. I am not gonna report today. Kakashi will understand. Feeling satisfied with his thoughts, he motioned for Sakura indicating that they should move on. So, they waved goodbye to the two chunins, one of them looked awe-struck that the new Sannins waved at him and the other wore the special fuck you Hyuga face.
She now felt tired after standing for not more than two hours and wanted to go home and shower. Yeah, what did the Hokage expect of her? She was a heiress not a fucking night guard. Didn't he know that an heiress needed her beauty sleep? The boy had started falling asleep again. After a few minutes of absolute peace and silence to Hanabi's ears, another shrill noise sounded just near them waking up their drowsy minds. Fearing an enemy attack they were about to ring the village's alarm system when a portal opened and stepped out a figure clad in black, carrying something or someone small. Now, Hanabi famed for her fast retorts activated her Byakugan and was shocked to a standstill because of the familiar chakra she memorised sometime before. Somehow, both the chunins stared at the figure dumbfounded, Hanabi due to her musings and the boy due to fear. Yeah some ninjas they were and she called others retarted. Guess, the whole of Konoha was doomed. Unlike them, the figure responded by moving closer to them and taking off his hood to reveal his face.
This made Hanabi step out of her episode whereas the boy went into a comma. Two red eyes stared back intently, the sole focus on her. But ….this was impossible. Unfortunately, her brain failed her otherwise one look and she would have figured out that he was not the same person she had in mind. Am I fucking dreaming?
Nope.
"I, Sasuke Uchiha, want to meet your Hokage"
Seeing them unresponsive, the voiced boomed back.
"Now"
And so she prepared to take him to the Hokage. A voice in her head claiming things are about to be a chaos.
Who knew her first guard duty would turn out to be so interesting? She wouldn't be a brat next time.

Kakashi's P.O.V
Wakai Sasuke was currently sitting in the Hokage's office and to Kakashi he seemed like a patient of maniac disorder. The bags under his bloodshot eyes told Kakashi that his student hadn't gotten any sweet sleep. His hair was dishevelled and his spikes looked out of control. Maybe it was his bed hair. The black shirt that he wore was inside out. He didn't point it out because he knew that was because of lack of sleep. Even after such scruffy appearance, he looked very calm as if somehow he knew Kakashi was going to give him some bad news. It seemed like he was waiting for it so that he could go and sleep it off like no big deal but there are so many questions. The answers could be provided by Sasuke himself but not by the one who is currently sitting across him but by the furui Sasuke that had been standing there before him a few minutes ago.
Kakashi was sure he himself looked even worse. And as if to confirm, the Hokage turned to the mirror on the opposite wall. With so much work he appeared to be constipated for days and he was sure that alone told Sasuke that something was gravely wrong with his sensei. Kakashi rarely felt like that and if he did, the matters were either out of his control or somebody died. Nobody had been killed yet or at least no one close to Kakashi. So the first option then would be a safe guess for anyone.
Kakashi at last sighed and looked at his young student, opened his mouth and then closed it shut contemplating how to break the news. The Hokage didn't believe his own eyes at first. Hell, he could not believe it even now.
He remembered reading his Icha Icha Paradise merrily and in peace when the GHOST EYED heiress barged in with a surprise.
With a bad surprise.
Sasuke (The adult one) was in front of him but he could tell that he was not his young student whom he knew since the dawn of his life. He was some other Sasuke. How could he even explain that shit? This Sasuke looked older than his student, a bit different looking and he was carrying a small child in his arms whose face he could not see properly.
"Hokage-sama", greeted the man bowing down to him. Kakashi stared stupefied. Indeed this Sasuke was different. He was fucking polite which his student never was. Seeing yet another paralyzed ninja, the intruder demanded to call Sasuke Uchiha (the irony) and Hinata Hyuga in there and he would start explaining himself.
Hmmm. Things are getting interesting...
Hearing this, Kakashi immediately ordered Hanabi to bring the young Sasuke and Hinata to his office. Even though Hanabi was confused with the whole ordeal, she was committed to the Hokage and so she set out to her mission.
And that is how wakai Sasuke came to be in the Hokage's office.

Wakai Sasuke's P.O.V
Sasuke could not believe his luck. He was home just for two hours in his lonely house, turning in his bed, trying to somehow summon a nightmare-less slumber but that too was disturbed by the Hyuga brat. He was about to slice off her neck when she moved back and hurriedly told him that Hokage-sama needed him. She feared him and she would be a fool if she did not. He had a reputation for being unstable and angry. She did step foot on his property and even though she was ordered to do so, it didn't mean shit to him. Well his mood soured even more when he stubbed his toe on his way to Kakashi's.
"What is it Kakashi?"
"Let us wait for Hinata"
Hinata? Hinata who? Why did she need to be there with him? If he was not wrong this Hinata girl is the ex-heiress. Right?
Just as he was about to ask something, the girl in question entered. She bowed to the Hokage and met his eyes before darting hers and then nodding. This annoyed him for some unknown reason. Her younger sister entered after her.
"Hanabi, send him in and go back to your guard duty". Hanabi grunted but agreed.
Him?
Entered them.
But his focus was on the taller man. From the corner of his eyes, he could see Hinata stiffening. So at first his brother fucked up his life then elders of the Konoha and now he himself had arrived to ruin his life from …future?
"I would suggest you should start speaking", Kakashi asked furui Sasuke.
"I have come here to ask for help and also to warn you that there is a powerful threat lurking. The one that forced me to seek refuge here"
"What threat?" The older Sasuke shifted towards him and his pair of mismatched eyes met the identical sharingans of his older self, eyes so like him yet different.
He does not have Rinnegan like me.
And indeed furui Sasuke had Sharingans in his both eyes unlike wakai Sasuke.
"A threat to the world"
"Hanabi mentioned that you stepped out of a portal", interrupted Hinata shyly.
Both the Sasukes went quite. One envisaging and the other scrutinizing.
"Yes"
His adult self continued, "There is an enemy that we may face in future. It is also a possibility that it may follow me here because I have something that interests it. It wants to destroy the worlds but at first it has to destroy something else in order to harm my world and yours too. However, there is time. I faced this enemy but it had something up its sleeve and I was forced to come here"

The room went quite again. Kakashi was in literal shreds. They couldn't afford any more damage to their village. This enemy that they were discussing about sounded terrifying if it could follow the Sasuke from future? He wasn't sure. But he could be wrong; they might be able to defeat it but what if they could not? Should he order this Sasuke to go back to his time and handle his own problem? But the enemy could be here anytime.
Kakashi had recently understood the difference between being a shinobi and a Hokage. Being a shinobi meant protecting the village like a soldier should do but being a Hokage meant caring for the whole village like a leader should do. He as a Hokage had to care for his land's economic and social structure which he never gave a thought to in his previous lifestyle. Now he understood why Tsunade was always so stressed.Fighting is easier than Caring. Destroying is easier than Building. Passing a death sentence is easier than creating Life. Where did Tsunade keep her sake? He remembered she told him she kept some hidden here in the office in case he needed any. He felt the need to read his Icha Icha to relieve his tension. Damn Shikamaru for suggesting otherwise. His books were to him what cigarettes were to Shika. Thinking about Shikamaru, where was he again? He mentioned some party but Kakashi was sure he was lazing off somewhere. He needed his damn advice at this very moment. Some advisor he was. pffft.
Kakashi now had to do that lazy ass' job i.e., to advice himself but so many questions were swimming around his head. Who was this enemy? How dangerous was he? How much time did they have to prepare for the showdown? What was the full story? Who was the child he was carrying? Why was Hinata called in the office? He had to find out but the most obvious one…..
"Have we learnt time traveling in the future?", asked Kakashi, apparently the most important inquiry out of all.
"He is not a time traveller"
Kakashi looked at his young angsty student with his questioning gaze as if asking how come he knew and to confirm this, his counterpart answered…
"I am from another dimension"
And so the paranoia set its claws deep inside the new Hokage who didn't feel like reading his precious book anymore.
