CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE - Shopping

Website where all photos of all outfits mentioned is on my profile. 2 chapters today cause this one is fairly boring.

Starting with a walk round half of 1st floor none of us really see anything that we're interested in looking at, but do make a quick stop in the Sunglass Hut where Donna and I both end up with new sunglasses.

The second part of the 1st floor proves to take a little longer after Cam stops in Tiffany's and debates with herself for 15 minutes before she ends up buying a pair of chandelier earrings with a price tag that makes me cringe.

We don't even make it past 2 shops before Al is pulling us into RedValentino, she's spotted a dress from the window that she's decided she has to have, the short green printed dress does look amazing on her skin and while she's changing into her own clothes I swipe it from her and pay for it at the counter along with the purple one I've found for myself.

I'm practically dragged away from Godiva Chocolates after I spend 15 minutes in there choosing chocolates to put in an assortment box to take to dinner on Sunday and arranging for Gemma to have chocolates delivered to her every month for a year.

The second floor doesn't have many stops, one quick stop in Max Azaria ends up with 2 new handbags for me of identical design, but one black and one white and one pair of amazing boots which I pick up for Cam.

We stop in at Pandora where Cam ads charm to the bracelets she brought me an Al our first Christmas in the same apartment building, after adding the cupcake charm to mine, she gets a handbag charm for Al's bracelet, a snowflake for her own and starts Donna a charm bracelet with the letters D, E and K and both a baby boy and baby girl charms along with the heart shaped Mom charm.

Heading out of the store Donna is shut up when Cam turns to her, points out the bead with Freesia's on it which she added a few months back, "That charm was $1,700 so hush."

Donna looks stunned, but her mouth snaps closed so I guess the statement from Cam worked.

The final stop on this floor ends up being The Body Shop where all four of us end up with bags filled with various soaps, lotions and bath additives.

Ending up on the third floor we all seem to have slowed down a bit, and I'm not sure if it's to see if we can make Opie and Jax get angry with us, or cause we know what's going to happen.

Stopping in a number of different stores on the way round we've all ended up with several more bags, Donna walked out of H&M Kids with 2 bags of clothes for each of her kids, which were passed straight over to Opie to carry. We've each ended up with a bag from True Religion, including the guys after Donna decided to get Opie some new jeans she also decided that I should get Jax some, after manhandling him in the middle of the mall to get his jeans size we've picked out 3 pairs for each of them. Each of us girls ended up with a couple of pairs as well.

Finally spotting the Victoria's Secret store front in the corner we stop briefly by the seats that are set up out the front, dropping the bags onto the seat the four of us head towards the store, letting Jax and Opie know that we won't be long.

Once inside the store Al and Cam head towards the back, their giggles are about to make it obvious that we're up to something.

Browsing through the racks for a while I could see the guys through the windows at the front, Opie was looking around at the people walking past while Jax was staring up at the roof 2 floors above.

Gathering an armful of various pieces of lingerie I headed towards the dressing rooms at the back of the store, strategically choosing the one that was straight eye sight to where Jax was sitting I closed the curtain and started trying on the things I'd grabbed.

Having decided that I liked almost all the things I'd selected I gently tapped on the wall to let Al, who was in the next stall, know that it was 'go time'.

I'd just slipped on a black and red bustier with lace as the top half of the cups when the curtain went flying open.

"What the fuck!" I screech.

"Sorry S, we thought you were done." Al replies, sounding apologetic. Pulling the curtain closed again I dressed back in my own clothes.

Once I was dressed again I stepped out, glared at Al who was standing not far away and walked over to Donna, who had been on 'Jax watch' while we put our plan into motion.

Pretending like we are looking through another rack Donna giggles, "You should have seen his reaction. The second he heard your scream his head shot to you so fast I thought he'd give himself whiplash."

I grin, "And?"

"I could see the moment what you were wearing, or rather not wearing, registered in his brain. His jaw dropped open and you could almost see the drool from here." She's grinning widely at me.

"Good." I know I told him I would wait, but I just want him to see what he's missing out on.

Gathering up a couple more matching sets of underwear in my size I look through the window and see a couple of teenage boys ogling through the window. Jax is glaring at them from where he's still sitting.

Wandering towards the door I hold up the 2 sets in my hands and call out, "Hey baby, which one do you like more, the black and pink or the black and red?"

Jax catches what I'm doing and strides over and through the door, back towards the oglers so the patch on his back is plainly visible. Running a finger over the lace at the top of one of the bra cups his voice is rough when he says, "Doesn't matter either way you won't be wearing them long."

I feel my face heat up, "I'll get both then."

I turn back into the store and watch as the oglers head in the other direction rapidly.

Heading towards the register with the armful of lingerie I've found my pile gets doubled in size with the things that Al and Cam have found that they have decided I have to have.

3 bustier sets, including the black and red one Jax saw and 9 bra and panty sets later I walk out the door with 3 bags, Donna has 1 which boringly is mostly filled with black and white, though the one stand out is the green corset she picked out.

Stepping back out the doors Opie stands up, "Right girls, are you done?"

We all look at each other and nod, "Yep, just one stop in Stockton and we're all finished and ready for Charming again."

We walk back down to the car and manage to shove the rest of the bags in the back. Getting into the car I grin at Donna as we pull out of the car park.

"That went well." Al giggles from the back seat.

"Yup it did." I nod.

We make one more short stop just inside San Francisco city limits to get coffee; I'm starting to feel jaded from the day driving and shopping and want to have some energy for the warehouse we're heading towards.

We're at the giant store quicker than I realised and Jax and Opie seem to be resigned to waiting a while as they have just ended up in a warehouse sized store with 4 women.

Surprisingly to them we're out within an hour, but I have managed to make a sizable dent in my credit card, having brought 3 pairs of boots and 7 pairs of shoes.

Once we've loaded the boxes into the car Cam starts laughing.

I look over at her, "What?"

"How many pairs of shoes do you have now?"

I feel my face heating up. "Umm...eleventy-twelve." I mumble.

"That's not a real number, come on Sarah how many pairs of shoes do you now own?" Cam grills, her knowledge of my obsession with footwear is being used against me, after all it's her fault I have so many shoes, she keeps taking me shopping for them.

"Okay okay, I now have 45 pairs of boots and about 125 pairs of heels, I'm not sure on that number cause people keep hiding them."

Donna looks over; the 3 pairs of shoes she just brought suddenly seem like nothing. "You mean you have 170 pairs of footwear?"

I shake my head, "Nope, I have 170 pairs of boots and heels. I also have sneakers, slippers and a few pairs of flat sandals." I know my face is bright red by now.

"Holy shit." Jax says, "Do you have a shoe fetish?" he asks, and I can see his eyes sparkle with mischief.

"Many people would say I do, but then I'm sure people would also say it's not normal to buy a house 6 days after moving across country." I poke my tongue out at him.

I order the girls back into the car and we're on the road quickly after that.
