[[COMPLETED ONE-SHOT]]

Sesshoumaru slammed his fist down on his desk as he swiveled around in his chair. "You dare tell me of this, now?!" He hissed dangerously at the quivering man who attempted to hide behind the edge of the doorway.

"I-I am so sorry, Taisho-san. I-I only just heard of the discovery…" The man whimpered as he pulled himself further away from the scathing glare aimed towards him. Sesshoumaru let out a disgruntled huff and pinched the bridge of his nose. Apparently, his team of archaeologists found evidence that the underwater monoliths of Yonaguni were not natural formations. They were man-made.

This was huge. And yet, his team had forgone telling their direct supervisor of their findings for over 24 hours! With his musing over, Sesshoumaru stood swiftly and began stalking to the doorway where the nervous employee man quivered.

"We're leaving, Kaito. Now. Grab your things." Sesshoumaru hissed towards his assistant, who was still firmly in place at his doorway.

"U-uh, yes sir!" Kaito breathed, as he nervously followed in the quick footsteps of his manager.

"You're the archaeologist who found this?" Sesshoumaru questioned as his eyes turned to the woman standing beside him. She nodded vigorously before providing him with a breath-taking smile. "Yes, Taisho-san. While I was deep diving around the monument, I found what looked to be a room full of treasures. This was the most beautiful of all." She said with excitement. Her blue eyes shined as she looked fondly at the gold tea kettle sitting in front of them.

Sesshoumaru stood up straighter as he cleared his throat. "Well, you have made quite the accomplishment. It must have truly enraptured you to not have notified me sooner." He stated icily before returning his gaze towards the very item that would change Japanese history.

"I apologize, Taisho-san. I wanted to confer with my team to ensure that this item truly meant what we think it does." She returned calmly before stepping around the table. Her bright smile faltered slightly as she met his steely gaze head on.

Appeased, Sesshoumaru stayed silent for a moment. "And whose name shall be the one we document as the finder when we share this monumental finding with the world?" He inquired softly as his gaze roamed over her features.

"Higurashi Kagome, Taisho-san." Kagome offered genially before her smile brightened in accomplishment at his version of praise.

A small smirk crossed his features as her excitement continued to pierce through his cold façade. "Then so it shall be."
