All that she would have liked was to lie in her bed and have a good cry.

After The Fall, John's PTSD worsens, landing him in hospital. He falls into an almost comatose state, getting comfort only from the voice in his head. Then he gets a visit from the man who caused him to wind up in here. Sherlock/John Post-Reichenbach

When Mike convinces John he could flatshare with a detective, he sends him to the residence of Sherlock Holmes, prostitute. Lured in under false pretences, he soon uncovers the truth, by which time he's too involved in Sherlock's world of guns, drugs, pimps and tea; which is when John does something quite stupid: he falls in love. Twice.
