Sherlock's almost finished the puzzle that Moriarty died without solving. The last piece is a visit to Moriarty's last known associate, a woman living innocuously as a school teacher. At her flat, though, Sherlock finds more than he bargained for, and begins to understand what Moriarty meant when he said he'd burn the heart out of him. Oneshot.

Three times Death spoke to Sherlock, looked him full in the face, and three times Sherlock looked back without fear. This is set in three points throughout Sherlock's life, with Death as the narrator. It contains mainly headcanon, as well as a few very minor original characters for my own purposes. This is still a wip. Also available on AO3 under the same author and title.

Sherlock is stumped on a case, and that doesn't usually happen. He's been on edge lately, and it's been noticeable, especially to his best friend: John Watson. John tries his best to help Sherlock, but his stubbornness is beginning to dent their friendship. When John finally explains what's on his own mind, everything goes on hold as the two are left to their thoughts.
