Post-Reichenbach. Sherlock returns after three years, expecting John to punch him in the face. What he gets is so much worse.

He has practically just finished talking to Lestrade when it happens. A sudden dizziness assaults his brain, things tip sideways, and he barely catches himself on the arm of the sofa to slow his descent before he collapses altogether to the floor.

Although Mycroft can't always keep his brother safe, he always makes up for the moments he misses. To aid in this endeavor, he's got a knife and the ability to put empathy aside.
