This is a follow-up to my Christmas-fic, Christmas on the Doorstep. John plays fetch with Toby, and Sherlock learns something new. Funniness ensues. Rated for minor cursing.

Sherlock Holmes finally returns home to unwelcome news. Spoilers for The Reichenbach Fall.

A year and a half has gone by since Sherlock committed suicide, or at least that was what John Watson thought.

He never meant to drive John away. What is he going to do now that he's alone? No spoilers, pre-Reichenbach, ratings for violence, drugs, and future bad stuff.

A little experiment. I'm not sure where I'm taking this yet.

Stereotypical post-Reichenbach reunion.. Just as John begins to cope after a year of being alone, a familiar face returns. No slash, but it could be read into, I suppose. First fanfic in awhile, please be gentle with it!
