Sherlock and John investigate the gang-hit of the leader of global drug-trafficking network The Syndicate. Sherlock taps an old rival, Syndicate gang lawyer Irene Adler, for information, but eventually finds himself in a very compromising position.

It kills John, those smokey eyes that can see through everyone and everything in seconds, but are beyond mere human emotions. Slash.

Mycroft is suspected of trying to kill himself by drug overdose. Sherlock refuses to believe this - Mycroft just isn't the type. …Is he?

"Do you think for one second that if Sherlock Holmes ever decided to kill someone, you'd know or even suspect him?" John defends Sherlock in an unconventional way. Pre-slash-ish. Maybe. Mostly just John being awesome and condescending.

Set while Sherlock is at University. A short drabble.

'Come on, come on,' he screams internally, putting more pressure on John's wound. The man has been dead for at least fifteen seconds now. He knows the statistics, and it's terrifying. He can only hope emergency services will arrive on time.

He's giving his captors exactly what they hoped for - a way to break him. They have found exactly what will tear him down. On the other side of the glass, his own face is mirrored in the other man's inaudible scream.

He's okay with being a shadow of sorts, because it means he gets to live in The Sun. John feels like he is blooming in Sherlock's rays, and maybe Sherlock is becoming who he needs to be too.

John attempts to explain to Sherlock the legitimacy of the interest in breasts.

Just a little flash fiction. An adaptation The Final Problem, modernised for BBC Sherlock, with a slightly unexpected twist. Very melodramatic and, to be honest, highly unlikely and kind of OOC. And yet...the idea wouldn't go away. So here it is.
