The Bar: Iron City
AN: Ooo, I hope I wasn't too cruel in batman's fate.
Alita, Clark and Diana walked into a regular hangout for either motor ball players or hunter warriors. To the battle angel it's the same trash that comes here and nothing has changed since the last time she was here.
If a bar patron was telling a joke like what if people knew Superman or Wonder Woman had walked into a bar people would either laugh or just put it off as a bad joke. Diana almost felt disgusted in coming to this bar.
Men and their drinking. Or cybernetic men in a place like this. The majority of them looked human, but don't let appearances fool you and so the tree sat down. Clark adjusted his glasses and tried to use his x ray vision.
At least his x ray vision is working, but still didn't feel as strong as he should be. He figured it must be because there is not enough sunlight from the sun that shines down upon the Earth.
Currently the three have no idea of Batman's fate and Diana is upset with him for being the loner in a strange place they have little knowledge about. Clark knew Bruce is always like this, but he did worry if he is alright.
Clark and Diana got sharp looks from the other patrons in the bar as if they have never seen the two before, it was odd that a champion of motor ball Alita the battle angel sitting with two strange people.
"Hey Alita," said one of them "Where did you find these two."
"Jashugan" grinned Alita "I see your still in one piece."
"Yeah, yeah," replied Jashugan "When you vanished I became the champion again, although going to Zalem is bullshit."
"Yeah," said Alita "We will see how long it lasts."
"Is that a challenge," grinned Jashugan?
"Always," grinned Alita "Oh these two are Clark Kent and Diana Prince, they're interesting people I met and as for me disappearing it's a long story."
"Honing your skills as a hunter warrior, so you can challenge Nova." Jashugan "Hook luck with it and did you hear about Takié."
"No," said Alita
"She was badly damaged by Nova's enforcer called the Savage." Said Jashugan
"She is supposed to be the fastest motor ball player ever." Said Alita.
"Not as fast as you," said Diana
"No, not really." Said Alita "A certain friend of mine called the Flash can out race her."
"Oh really, is he a cyborg." Said Jashugan.
"No, just the fastest man alive." Said Clark.
This brought on a series of laughs from the other patrons which a mere human can out run a cyborg is rather funny.
"Are these people this stupid," said Diana
"No, just drunk." Said Alita "The majority of them are motor ball failures and hunter warrior wannabes."
"What about Nova's enforcer the Savage." Said Clark.
"Not much," said Jashugan "Very skilled cyborg, Nova has a tight leash on him,"
Suddenly several cyborg dogs came in as people in the bar knew who will show up and Alita can see it's the hunter warrior McTeague. He noticed Alita is here he had heard she vanished without a trace and his dogs couldn't find her.
However he did find something else before coming here and had brought the damaged human to Dr Ido for medical care.
"Still playing with your dogs," giggled Alita.
"I'm a dog lover like you" said McTeague "Just so you know Ido wants you back home."
"Trouble." Growled Alita
"Found a guy barely alive, dressed in a bat like costume." Said McTeague.
"Bruce," muttered Clark and Diana
"Dumb asshole" said Alita "It's his own doing, we better head back."
Diana, Alita and Clark got up from their seats and headed out in a hurry. Both Clark and Diana are very worried about Bruce, but they agreed with Alita it's Bruce's own doing as he went off on his own.
Ido's place
Having just arrived the three had just walked inside and found Ido along with his nurse tending to a broken Batman Bruce Wayne. Diana gasped at his appearance and Clark sighed deeply as this is the worst thing that has happened to their friend.
His leg and arm had are gone, half of his face is shredded and barely alive, although he is hooked up in life saving machines to keep him alive. Alita didn't show any emotion.
"Can you save him," said Diana
"I can try, he lost lots of blood and two of his limbs including half of his face." Said Ido "He will need cyborg parts."
"Do what you have to do." Said Clark "I want to know who did this to him."
"Father gather the parts, I have an idea." said Alita
"What are you planning to do," asked Ido?
"You will see," said Alita
Ido and his nurse went to storage to get cyborg parts and brought them back to the operation room. Where Bruce lays there on the bed and hooked up to machines.
"What now," asked Diana?
"This," said Alita
Alita put the ring upon her chest and spoke softly.
"In brightest day
There will be light
To cleanse the soul
And set wrongs right
When darkness falls
A new dawn comes
The Angel of light"
A bright light occured as Ido along with his nurse can see Alita standing there with some form like angel like wings upon her back and a symbol upon her chest. Clark and Diana knew this is the white lantern power.
Elsewhere on Zalem the city's scanners detected an unfamiliar power coming from Iron City itself. Nova examined the readings and he is impressed. Who has this power? He has no idea, but he wanted it and will take it.
"The soul will be cleansed of darkness." Said Alita.
Alita raised her hand, clenched her fist and a stream of white energy levitated the cyborg parts and placed them on the broken body of Bruce Wayne. Then a stream of white energy engulfed Bruce's body and is undergoing a transformation.
Then as the light died away, Bruce's body has been fixed. His face is healed, his arm and leg are new along with the dark costume which is now bright white like snow. Bruce wakes up and looked around he didn't feel any pain.
"What did you do to me," growled Bruce?
"Your one of us now," said Alita "And your welcome."
"I'm human damnit," said Bruce "Change me back."
"Bruce, she saved you." Said Diana.
"Can you say thank you." Said Clark
"Fine, thank you." Said Bruce "Okay...that felt weird."
"So who attacked you," said Ido.
"There were two of them, Zapan and a another person Grewishka." said Bruce.
"Nova, must had rebuilt him after sliced him in half." said Alita "Care for some payback."
"I do," said Bruce
"So does this mean your a white knight." Grinned Clark.
"Shut up Clark." Mumbled Bruce.
