(OC) Nikki Tonks

Rita was flying around in her animagus form, trying to find any group of students who may be gossiping and use their discussions to turn them into stories to put in the Daily Prophet. The beetle of a journalist flew inside the castle, thinking she would have better luck there than outside (due to being unable to find any gossiping students wandering around outdoors). Rita was somewhere around on the fourth floor when she heard some giggles coming from an empty classroom. Upon following the source of the giggling, Rita looked over to see her favourite celebrity, Harry Potter, sitting in a loveseat with a girl who had shoulder-length golden-brown hair hanging down.

Rita knew that girl was Tonks' little sister because of the resemblance, but didn't know her name. Rita flew closer to investigate why Harry and the girl were laughing. The girl grabbed the 'beetle' with her thumb and index finger on her right hand and showed it to Harry. After examining the physical features on the fake beetle (particularly the markings resembling red glasses), Harry whipped his wand out and cast the cancelling charm, causing Rita to revert back to her original form. Harry and the girl raised their eyebrows suspiciously.

"Well, well, well!" Harry responded with a sneer. "If it isn't the journalist who enjoys being a thorn at my side."

"Especially one who doesn't have any qualms about printing stories about certain people and publishing them without the person's consent!" the girl sneered in the beetle's direction.

"Who are you?" Rita asked the girl.

"Nicole Tonks," the girl introduced herself, in a rather irritated voice. "Though I like going by Nikki. I'm a Hufflepuff in the same year as Harry, the same house my sister, Dora, was in."

"You do look like Nymphadora," Rita commented, rather foolishly. "Since I've seen her on a few occasions."

"You're lucky she isn't here," Nikki told the beetle in a no-nonsense voice. "She'd rip you a new one for referring to her by her given name."

"But that's not important right now, Skeeter," Harry began ranting to Rita. "We've finally figured out that you were the beetle who Malfoy and Parkinson were talking to while telling those black lies, especially those black lies about me. After all, those lies ended up in the Daily Prophet the next day written by you, so it doesn't take a genius to put two-and-two together."

"Precisely," Nikki told Rita. "You should know that slander is a crime. You didn't even have Harry's permission, nor Hermione's, to use their names in those cock-and-bull stories before publishing them."

"But it's time for you to get your dues, Skeeter," Harry informed the journalist. "So you can learn that actions have consequences."

Harry and Nikki got out what looked like a newspaper that was totally blank and they were being rather slow. Then they got out some kind of weird device that seemed to come from the muggle world. When they put the strange device in front of them, Rita took the opportunity to try and ruin their plans and save her reputation.

"Reveal hidden details." Rita spoke with a smirk, when she pointed her wand at the blank newspaper, causing the contents on the paper to form.

"Hmm!" Harry responded when he saw what his least favourite journalist did, seemingly confused while speaking into the strange device. Then he looked over the front page and continued responding, "This is some very interesting material."

"Very interesting, indeed!" Nikki remarked when she also looked over the front page, also speaking into the device. Then she began reading what may have been the headline, "The wonderful life of Rita Skeeter, written by Reteeks Atir."

'Reteeks Atir! Who in the world is that?!' thought Rita.

What Rita didn't know was that the strange device on the desk in front of Harry and Nikki was a portable microphone. Rita also had no idea that the microphone had a voice-magnifying charm placed to make it heard throughout the castle as if it were an intercom. Most of the school (including the foreign ones, since it wasn't time for them to leave yet) was in the Great Hall getting ready to eat lunch when they stopped after they heard Rita's name mentioned.

"Reteeks had been looking forward to making sure Rita's life hit the Daily Prophet," Harry read some of the article. "And has come to discover some very disturbing secrets. Barnabas Cuffe revealed that he gave Rita a job as a journalist after she offered to give him a fellatio."

Many people in the Great Hall put a hand over their mouths in disgust while widening their eyes in horror. They found it hard to believe that Rita would try a stunt like that to get a job, particularly one she enjoyed. The smaller number of students who weren't horrified by that were ones who had neutral expressions on their faces (including Draco Malfoy and, to a lesser extent, Pansy Parkinson). It didn't take long for everybody to realize that a fellatio was also called a blowjob, horrifying the majority of those in the Great Hall even further (to the point where they lost their appetite). Even Rita felt her jaw drop open in sheer horror, but the whole ordeal was far from finished.

"And it turns out that Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson knew that Rita was an unregistered animagi, who's form is a beetle," Nikki took over reading the article. "A gold-coloured beetle that has distinct markings in the form of her red trademark glasses. Rita had been going around Hogwarts in her animagus form collecting any kind of gossip, mostly from Draco and Pansy. Instead of reporting that to a school official, they decided to help Rita slander many people, mostly Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. It was also revealed that Draco and Pansy found Rita out in the woods one day. Rita offered to seduce Draco in exchange for the lies he told, with Draco accepting the offer without hesitation."

All eyes were now on Draco and Pansy (both of who were now sweating profusely) when they realized that they knew about Rita's status as an unregistered animagi the whole time. The decent Slytherins helped to prevent Draco and Pansy from escaping. Draco also found himself getting punched for allowing Rita to seduce him. Professor McGonagall sent a patronus to the DMLE to alert the aurors of some lawbreakers in Hogwarts Castle. Most of the students even started laughing and pointing fingers at Draco and Pansy, much to their humiliation. Rita could feel herself sweating profusely, scared to death at what was happening, but there was still more to tell.

"It has also come to Reteeks' attention that Rita goes out of her way to never do any factual checking," Harry began reading the last part of the article. "Rita's only so-called defences for publishing those degrading articles about Harry and Hermione without their consent is because of Harry's fame as the Boy-Who-Lived and Hermione being the brightest witch of her age. Rita claimed that she wanted them to get the recognition they deserved. It was also found out that Rita wouldn't hesitate to slander anybody else if she had the chance."

By that time, aurors from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement arrived and headed for the Great Hall after Professor McGonagall greeted them at the front entrance. The aurors knew where Draco and Pansy were, since the decent Slytherins holding them down made it clear. Professor Dumbledore walked up to Draco and Pansy and gestured for them to hand their wands over. Draco and Pansy reluctantly surrendered their wands, then Dumbledore snapped both wands in two and declared the two former Slytherins expelled. Then Draco and Pansy were placed in magic-suppression handcuffs and hauled away to be put into a ministry holding cell to await trial. Rita was so shocked by the news article about her that she lost the sensation in her limbs. A few minutes later, a knock at the door was heard, so Harry got up to answer it and found the aurors. Then he opened the door wider to allow the aurors (Nikki's sister included) access and place the arrogant journalist in magic-suppression handcuffs.

"Now you know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of those articles, Rita." Harry told her in a no-nonsense tone.

"Besides," Nikki began explaining to Rita. "There was no person named Reteeks Atir. That was just your name backwards."

"Not only that" Harry began revealing to an even-more horrified Rita. "That article showed up because of a spell put on it to make it either insulting or the opposite of what you said. You spoke the wrong phrase, which was why it revealed the truth you've so desperately tried keeping concealed."

"And copies of that should be appearing soon." Nikki told Rita with a smirk on her face.

"And this is a portable microphone," Harry informed Rita. "It's something that comes from the muggle world, designed to make one's voice magnified so it could be heard throughout a crowd. Everyone in the Great Hall will have heard us because Nikki and I placed a voice-magnifying charm on it to make sure everyone heard.

Rita was led out to be taken out of the castle and over to a ministry holding cell to await trial for her crimes. After checking to make sure Harry and Nikki were alright, Tonks left to return to work. Then Harry and Nikki left the empty classroom to head outside for a walk in the woods (since they lost their appetite when reading about Rita giving her chief-in-editor a blowjob and seducing Draco). With Rita finally facing the consequences for her actions, the Daily Prophet was now free to try repairing it's reputation.

The End!

Author's note: I'd like to give a shoutout to 'Aurora Nightstar' for suggesting the prank involving the use of the spell used on the Marauder's Map that insults those who try to use it incorrectly and speak the wrong phrases to activate, but have it used on a newspaper that was charmed to reveal the truth about Rita should she try to use it to ruin the prank; that the prank also reveals that Rita gave the chief-in-editor a blowjob; and that Rita is revealed to have seduced Draco into helping spread lies about Harry.
