A/N #1: Loved getting what I got for the last chapter by way of feedback, so I'll start my thanks for that! TORONTOSUN (Nice to read you thought it was very good writing in the last chapter!),

Mb (Great to see you thought the last chapter was nicely done! And I was glad you thought it was nice with Julia at the Fosters, lol, I figured they'd be equally at each other's houses though it can be tough to work in her at the Foster's house. It was nice to see you could connect with the puzzle they did since you did it with your family. Really pleased you thought the bit with the victim going to Julia since Beckett isn't receptive enough was interesting. Along with him telling her what he knows concerning his murder and what he doesn't, along with what he needs to move on as you put it. I was very happy to see you loved seeing the Castle household with Eliza with them and how she is with Josie too. Not surprised you noted Beckett being off concerning Julia but trusting she would talk with them. Great you thought it was nicely done! You're welcome for sharing the second half! It was nice to see you thought Julia had a good talk with Castle and Beckett, putting them at ease telling them about Adam and what he told her, along with the logo. I'm so pleased that you liked the memory when Julia was first with Beckett as her daughter. And no surprise that you think it's interesting how her memories start from that point still, or that you suspect there's a story there that still hasn't been told, I know others do too! I had to laugh at you mentioning Castle and Beckett torturing themselves before they head to Tahiti, I figured it would be something they enjoy and loathe doing at the same time, lol. Really happy you thought it was nicely done! And you're welcome for sharing the second half too!) and

Guest (I was glad reading you thought the two halves of the chapter were good updates. And not surprised that you're wondering about the twist I'm about to soon drop on my readers, lol. Nice to see you thought it was very good. And you're welcome for the chapter!).

Thanks so much for the reviews, enjoyed reading them all and I am grateful for the time taken to write them out and send them my way!

A/N #2: The title of this chapter are two lyrics from the song I Don't Know by Paul McCartney, from his album Egypt Station.

My Brother Told Me

"I'm sorry I called you guys in this early," Brad was saying as he walked into his office.

"If you have something, I don't really think you could wait," Beckett assured the chief. "Did you find something from the group?"

"Yes," Brad said. "The money was withdrawn because it was an investment into a new 3D printer that was made two years ago."

"Anything special about it?" Castle asked.

Beckett was a little surprised when the chief merely handed her a piece of paper and she read the specifications of the machine before she gave it back since her husband had been reading over her shoulder. "Why?" she asked.

"I was thinking that myself, so I called Mr. Dalton not too long ago," Brad replied. When he saw his friend looking at his watch he continued with, "I know it's early for some people, but I had to call. And according to him, the entire family collects guns."

"New guns?" Beckett asked.

"Old," Brad said. "We didn't see the collection since they have safes in the basement where they keep them. But he assured me they weren't functional."

"Paperwork?" Beckett said.

"Yes, and they were all tested," Brad answered. "None of them work."

"I'm guessing they sell them?" Castle inquired.

"That's what he said," Brad said. "But I decided to call you two in because that logo was driving me crazy before I fell asleep."

"We're sorry?" Castle asked.

Shaking his head quickly Brad said, "It's alright, I did sleep in the end." He looked between the two of them and asked, "How did you get it?"

Castle glanced at his wife, wondering if she wanted him to answer that when she was starting to speak.

"Julia went over to the Foster's last night for dinner," Beckett began with. "Later that night when we talked to her she told us that Adam Dalton had appeared to her. He told her his name was Adam; not his last name; and she knew he was the victim because he had a bullet wound here," she said, indicating the point on her chest where they'd seen the wound on Dalton. "And his white shirt was covered in blood."

"I'm going to guess he spoke to her more?" Brad asked, shocked briefly before reminding himself that it had come from Julia.

"He did, not much," Castle said. "She told us he had some trouble speaking."

"She said he had told her he didn't know who'd killed him, he was walking and turned around suddenly before he was shot," Beckett continued. "But he said something about home, and it wasn't his brothers. Well," she paused before shaking her head. "It wasn't so much about home."

"Apparently it was a word Dalton was having trouble saying," Castle replied.

"But something about brothers?" Brad asked.

"Have you checked on his family's alibis?" Castle said.

"First thing," Brad replied. "But do you think mummifying a body like that would be possible for a family member?"

"It depends," Castle and Beckett said at the same time.

Shrugging when his wife looked at him, Castle then said, "I would say yes-"

"If they're angry enough," Beckett finished for him. When her husband nodded, she looked at Brad and asked, "There was no one sharing his finances was there?"

"No," Brad said. "But I see why you thought that, the money for the machine was a lot."

"Wait, why exactly would he want that machine?" Castle asked. "Does it recreate antique guns?"

"Parts," Brad said. "I had the same thought as you, but I checked into it. It can stand in for parts so he could recreate a gun that was too damaged in some areas."

"What about the logo?" Beckett asked.

"I've been looking into Dalton, every way I legally can," Brad said in obvious frustration. "But I can't find a company or anything else but that payment." He saw Beckett was looking at her husband and he turned to his friend asking, "What?"

Castle reached into his inner pocket of his blazer and pulled out the paper that Julia had drawn on. He went to the desk and set it out telling his friend, "I don't exactly know which letter the second one is. But since he was in that fraternity, I would bet a lot of money that he took the name from the Greek alphabet."

"Okay, that's better," Brad said. "Wait," he told them. "Where's Patrick?"

"Here! I'm here!" the carpenter said, running inside. "I'm so sorry, I got a call from my current client and had to take it. Um… should I go the breakroom since I'm so far behind?" he asked, looking at the other three.

"No, I'll fill you in," Beckett said, walking over to him and taking him to the breakroom.

"Go," Brad told Castle. "I'll look into this and once I find something I'll call you back. Fill him in."

Nodding, Castle went over to the breakroom and saw Darnley was talking to his wife, ending with, "… if he changes the design anymore, I'll have to tell him I quit."

"Did you tell him that?" Becket asked.

"Yeah," Darnley said. "A lot more politely but I think I got the message across." He looked at Castle and was about to ask them what was going on when his friend's husband was speaking first.

"Do you guys want coffee at all?" Castle asked them.

"Please," Darnley said. "I was on the phone too long to get one at home." He then turned to his friend and said, "I guess it's up to you to fill me in."

"I was planning on it anyway," Beckett said wryly. She grew serious shortly after and sighed before she explained what Julia had seen.

"Crap, is she okay?" Darnley breathed out once she had finished.

"She is, it didn't seem to shock her," Beckett replied.

"I think that's the result of violence being prevalent everywhere," Castle said.

"Or it wasn't that gory," Darnley pointed out to him. He wasn't surprised when the writer nodded as he was putting the mug of coffee in front of his wife and said, "Oh sure."

"Do you really think I'm giving you your cup first?" Castle said slightly jokingly.

"Well, that logo is a lead at least," Darnley said. He studied his friend as she was sipping at her coffee carefully and waited until her cup was back on the table to ask, "What else?" When Beckett looked at him in obvious shock he said, "I could tell. The way you're holding yourself," adding the last quickly.

Though she and Castle had decided they didn't need to tell Brad about Julia's desire for her to help Adam once the case was solved, Beckett didn't hesitate telling her friend about that. "I don't know why she thought it had to be me," she said when she had finished.

"I think that would be mostly because she does know some things take a lot of energy," Darnley suggested.

"It could be," Beckett said after a little hesitation.

"Why don't you call Skye?" Darnley asked her.

"You should," Castle said, giving the carpenter his mug before he sat at the table with them and his own cup.

Beckett glanced over at Brad, and seeing the chief was talking on the phone grabbed her own before dialing Skye's number.

Castle nearly dropped his mug of coffee when his wife suddenly swore in Irish and he asked, "What's wrong?" he and Darnley watching her stop the call.

"It's not even six in the morning for her," Beckett said.

"You-" Darnley started to say.

Startled when her phone began to ring in her hand, Beckett sighed in frustration and said, "I hope she's not mad," before she slid her thumb over the screen to answer.

"I'm not in Santa Monica," Skye said before Beckett could say anything.

"What?" Beckett asked in surprise.

"I'm in DC right now," Skye replied. "I had to deliver my report on the Bombardier crash I was just investigating to headquarters."

"Why DC?" Castle asked in surprise.

"Because it's a Canadian company; Bombardier," Skye answered. "The members of the TSB that worked with us tagged along."

"I thought I was waking you up," Beckett explained.

"I gathered," Skye replied. "Judging by how fast you hung up on me."

"I didn't know where you were," Beckett said.

"It's alright. So," Skye then said. "What has you calling me so early even on this side of the country?"

Castle watched while his wife related what Julia had told them yet again, wondering if she was getting annoyed by it at all. But she sounded like she was fine, so he remained quiet until his wife had finished,

"Skye?" Beckett asked when the investigator wasn't responding.

"Did she have a nightmare at all last night?" Skye asked after another pause.

"No," Castle and Beckett said at the same time.

"Oh, hullo all," Skye said quickly. "Then she's alright on that score," she said. "So don't worry. Now, her request that you help Mr. Dalton pass on… I would have to talk to her. I believe she's thinking of me to be honest, but it's also a surprise since she knows very well what to do already."

"She does?" Castle and Beckett said, again speaking in unison.

"She does," Skye said. She gave an audible sigh and then told them, "I suppose I'll have to tell you though she begged me not to. When we were in Spain, she asked me to tell her how to do that. Just in case it ever came up. I should have asked permission from you too, but I never really thought it would be needed."

"Will it hurt her?" Beckett asked in concern. She was a little annoyed when Skye was silent again for a while but didn't say anything to let the investigator speak when she wanted to, which was luckily not too long after that.

"As long as you're there, then no," Skye said. "The process isn't that involved, but energy is needed, well, in Julia's case a lot of it since she's still young and isn't quite there yet in her abilities."

"Will doing this help her get better?" Castle asked.

"It will, but I warned her to space that out if she ever has a need to do it more often," Skye answered. "Again, I didn't think she'd have to worry about doing this. But would you do me a favor?"

"Sure," Beckett said.

"Call me after you do that as well," Skye said. "And don't worry about what I might be doing, today is a free day for me. If you're wondering when I go home, it's tonight."

"Okay, I'll do that," Beckett said.

"Brad on his way?" Skye asked since her friend had spoken rapidly.

"Yes, I'll call you later," Beckett replied hurriedly before hanging up.

"Come on," Brad told them in a rush.

After leaving their mugs by the sink, the three followed the chief to his office where he was giving Beckett a piece of paper.

"Min-Su Hwa," she read. "Professor Hwa has a brother?" she asked.

"He has a brother," Brad said with a nod.

"Mr. Hwa," Brad said as he closed the door behind himself and Beckett.

"How often does he do this?" Darnley asked Castle as they were in observation.

"A lot, you remember she learned from the Academy," he said, glancing at the carpenter next to him. Something struck him about the question, and he said quickly, "I'm not jealous, this is a different suspect." Castle was relieved when Darnley nodded, and they turned their attention to the room they were looking into as the man on the other side of the table was starting to speak.

"Yes sir?" Min-Su asked.

"We've spoken to your brother," Beckett took up. "And Seung told us that he's taught you this method of mummification," she said while Brad was sliding the picture of Dalton's body across to him.

Flinching, Min-Su turned away and mumbled, "Of course he did. He needed my help to practice and see if it really worked."

"Yes, but he did say that you also were starting a new business venture," Brad said, sliding a picture of the logo as it had likely appeared on Dalton's shirt that they'd been able to find.

"Nice," Darnley said.

"Yeah, though hopefully it doesn't confuse him too much," Castle commented, watching the man across the table from his wife and friend. He thought, with Min-Su's puzzled expression, that he was going to ask what they were talking about when he sighed and then spoke.

"I was part of the Zalinsky-Dobrivk Group," Min-Su said slowly. "I am part of the company," he said a little more normally.

"Did you have any contact with Mr. Dalton, being part of it?" Brad asked.

"Mr. Hwa," Beckett said when Min-Su obviously hesitated. "We've looked into the company, and we know you've been working there for the past month."

Min-Su bowed his head and nearly smacked it on the table before he tilted it back and said, "I told him," in a whisper.

"Told him what?" Brad asked.

"The mummification method my brother knows," Min-Su whispered.

"Why the hell would he do that?" Darnley whispered.

"Did Dalton fake… never mind," Castle started to say before he stopped himself as he recalled Thayer had confirmed that it was Adam Dalton multiple ways by then.

"I told him because it was going to help the company," Min-Su said. "I discovered, helping Seung with the process, that it clears off metals. Adam… Mr. Dalton, his company restored old guns and swords."

"We're aware of what the company did," Brad said quickly.

"Okay, so, at the last company meeting that Mr. Dalton had," Min-Su said hurriedly. "He was talking about a machine that would be able to recreate the parts he would need. It was a 3D printer and though it was expensive he said it would pay for itself in the end." He paused and then breathed out heavily before he continued saying, "I approached him after the meeting and told him about what I had discovered. I actually misspoke, it wasn't my brother's exact method, it was in the testing phases that I discovered the cleaning property."

"What was it that did it?" Beckett asked.

"Some vinegar," Min-Su said. "And some oleic acid from animal fat mixed in that but only a few drops. My brother thought it would preserve a body for longer, since he knew they had those materials, but it didn't work, the vinegar and acid were too caustic, so we took those out and he had his formula."

"Okay," Brad said with a nod. "What was Mr. Dalton's response to that?"

"He had me show him and I did, and he said it would be a great help and he was going to promote me so I could make that solution," Min-Su replied. "But he said he would still get the machine because with both it'd help everything exponentially."

"Alright," Brad said, since they had spoken with the employees at the company already and they had told him and his consultants about that conversation. "There's only one thing left we can really ask you; who else knows about the process to mummify a body?"

"Mr. Hwa-" Beckett started to say when the man looked away.

"I'll tell you," Min-Su interrupted her. "But… please let me stay here until you arrest them."

"Them?" Castle and Darnley said at the same time in observation. They were looking at each other but hurried to turn their attention back to room just as Min-Su was speaking again.

"Chief Davis," Mr. Dalton said after he'd opened his front door. "Is there anything with the case?" he asked once he'd ushered them in.

"There is," Brad replied as they remained in the entry. "Do you know very much about your son's company he'd started?"

"Of course, I loaned Adam money for it," Mr. Dalton replied with a nod. "Is… was it someone there?"

"No," Beckett said. "Were you aware the company has been in some financial trouble for nearly two weeks now?"

Sighing, Mr. Dalton nodded and said, "I knew, but this can happen. There are people who want to restore weapons and I urged Adam to expand into swords and cannons… whatever he could do to pick the business up. The loan was… to be honest I have money; Adam knew he didn't have to pay me back in a certain amount of time."

"Actually, he did," Castle said.

"We obtained yours and your wife's financials," Brad took up hurriedly when Mr. Dalton was opening his mouth to speak. "And unless you had that money back, you'd be on a straight path to bankruptcy."

"How did that happen?" Mr. Dalton said in shock.

"Do you handle your finances?" Beckett asked him.

"No," Mr. Dalton replied. His eyes suddenly widened, and he was about to speak again when there was a shot, and he was falling to the ground before Brad was yelling up the stairs.

"Delmar!" the chief said. "Put down your weapon!" He heard the young man ducking down what he guessed was a hallway on the second floor and called back to Beckett, "Are you covering?"

"Me too," Darnley said since they'd taken out their weapons at the same time he had.

"Castle," Brad said.

"I've got him," he replied. Castle hurried away from the front door and to Mr. Dalton, asking the man, "Can you get up?"

"He's going to shoot us," Mr. Dalton groaned.

"We're covered, come on," Castle said, helping him up and then back to the office off the entry. "You're hurt," he said, helping the man with his shirt. "I'll tie this onto you, it looks like you were only grazed but…"

"Del- Garrett," Brad yelled seeing the second Dalton son. "Both of you get down here or we'll get SWAT."

"I'm coming," Garrett said. "We left the gun on the floor here."

"Alright," Brad said slowly, not really sure why they were giving up so quickly. "Come downstairs and go slowly with your hands up. "There are three of us here."

"We're coming down," Delmar said.

Beckett was wondering what her husband was doing but couldn't look away as the brothers were coming down the stairs. She held her gun on them both as Brad was handcuffing Delmar first before he was getting his second set of handcuffs onto Garrett. With the situation under control, she went into the office while the chief was calling for an ambulance on his walkie-talkie. "Are you okay?" she asked Mr. Dalton.

"He said it was just a graze," the man replied.

"Should I take the shirt off?" Castle asked.

Shaking her head Beckett said, "There was a lot of blood, I'd be careful. Chief Davis called in an ambulance for you."

"My… my sons?" Mr. Dalton started to ask before he paused and swallowed hard.

"They've been arrested," Beckett said. "You didn't mention they hated their little brother."

Shaking his head, Mr. Dalton groaned, "I had no idea. If I had known… I would have said they had killed him." He then said, "Wait, you said hated, not killed. Did someone tell you? Did they confess?"

"No, Chief Davis is speaking to your sons now," Beckett said.

"The ambulance is almost here," Darnley said, walking in. "Chief wants me and Castle to take him out, you to go with him to talk with the brothers."

"Please don't speak to your sons Mr. Dalton," Beckett told him before the man was nodding. She went to the doorway of the office as her husband and friend were leaving the house before going to Brad.

"Alright you two," the chief said in the living room across from the office. "Considering your actions, I'm assuming you were under orders to do that just now."

"We were," Garrett said.

"Is there a problem?" Beckett asked Delmar as he nudged his brother in the ribs.

"Shut up Garrett," Delmar hissed.

"No, no," Brad said as the younger man glared at his older brother. "He's a smart man," he told the older of the two. "Now why don't you tell me what exactly has been going on, I'll put in a good word to the DA for you and you may get a lighter sentence."

Beckett almost thought that Delmar was going to attempt to intimidate his brother and keep him from speaking. But as Castle and Darnley came into the house and the room a moment later, the younger of the remaining Dalton brothers was speaking quickly as to what the motive was for their youngest brother's murder.

"I see," Brad said. "But what I'm wondering is why your father?"

"I don't know," Garrett said honestly. "Just… kill him."

"And would you like to add anything Delmar?" Brad said.

"Get me a fucking lawyer," the young man snarled.

"Will do," Brad said. He motioned and let Rice take Delmar and Wade get a hold of Garrett. "Make sure you keep them apart back in holding," he told the officers. "And have someone watching them." After the two had nodded, he turned to his consultants and said, "Well, I'm glad I sent Bernier over there."

"To be honest it was just a thought," Castle commented.

"No, you called it," Darnley said. "Do we need to wait or can we go?"

"We'll go, I have to talk to Hutchinson, excuse me," Brad replied.

Leaving the house, since they knew they needed to leave the crime scene and a search warrant was going to be served as well, Beckett went straight to the ambulance that was still there and to the EMT that was standing outside and on the phone. She wanted to ask the woman how Mr. Dalton was doing but waited for her to finish her conversation before the paramedic was asking her who she was.

"You're with the police?" the woman said.

"They're with me," Brad called as he was walking down the yard to them. He jogged the rest of the way and asked, "How is he?"

"Fine, at first it appeared to be a deep wound, but we just bandaged it," the EMT replied.

"Does he need to go to the hospital?" Brad asked.

"No, we'll release him right now," the paramedic said.

"Alright," Brad said with a nod before turning to the others. "He'll have to go to the station; he can't stay here."

"Are you taking him?" Darnley asked.

"Give me a second," Brad said, getting his walkie-talkie from his belt.

As the chief stepped away from them, Beckett looked down the street where a car was heading down to them and straightened up slightly when she recognized who was driving. "Brad," she said.

Turning quickly, the chief drew his gun immediately and went up to the car that was pulling into the driveway saying, "Hands in the air! Put your hands in the air!"

Castle turned to the ambulance, closing the doors at the back with the EMT and urging the paramedic to get Dalton to the station. He went around Emerson who had his gun drawn and watched as the driver's door opened.

"Officer-"

"That's Chief," Brad said angrily. "Hands in the air Mrs. Dalton," he told her. He motioned to Hutchinson; since she was the only female there; and let her cuff the older woman before he said, "Roberta Dalton, you are under arrest for the murder of Adam Dalton and conspiracy to commit murder."

"What are you talking about?" Mrs. Dalton said, her chin wobbling.

"Cut the act," Beckett snapped. "Your son confessed to us that all of this was your doing."

"And we have a witness who knows your sons were told the process that mummified your youngest son's body," Brad added.

"The surprise was the feud your father had with the Rowland family," Castle said, having walked up to them since everything was clear. "But it makes things a whole lot clearer."

"Also the mummification," Darnley added.

Mrs. Dalton, who had long since lost her appearance of nearly crying, glared at everyone looking at her and she said, "He had to die. He was a little prick. He was his father all around," nearly growling as she spoke. "He was ruining our finances with that loan he forced his father to give."

"Your husband said there was no need to pay it back," Castle said simply.

"Of course there was a need," Mrs. Dalton hissed. "We live a certain lifestyle and without that money there was going to have to be changes."

"That and Mr. Dalton would have figured out you were spending his money," Brad said. "More than enough to consider divorcing you and this time go all the way through with it."

"He should have," Mrs. Dalton said. "I know he slept around when we were separated, the bastard."

Thinking the woman was going to mention Tamara, Beckett was surprised when instead the woman was talking about how exactly she'd killed her son and where that had taken place. With the woman's tone of voice, she soon realized why she was confessing to them as it was obvious her anger was building and had been for some time.

"I went to the warehouse Adam put his business in," Mrs. Dalton started with. "With our money," she snarled. "I found him in his office, working on the computer. I told him his father wanted our money back. He told me I was lying and was going to call Seth, so I shot him. I shot him with the gun that's his father's favorite and that's it."

"You wanted the money from the life insurance policy you had on your son," Darnley told the woman.

"Of course! A million dollars was double what he stole from us," Mrs. Dalton said. "I shot him after he turned to me, I wanted him to know that it was me. I told him as he was bleeding there that he was a worthless piece of… waste of flesh. That I hated him for being his father's favorite and making my babies feel like they were nothing. I called my boys; my wonderful boys and they took care of everything for their mother. They cleaned up and took care of the body and I was more than happy with them both. I think I'll give them the company once everything is finished."

Beckett was trying not to feel physically ill at the woman's words about her own son and she had to school herself as she asked, "Why kill your own child?"

"He made Seth turn from me," Mrs. Dalton said, snarling. "He was a mistake and I had to carry him and give birth to him, and he ruined my body. He ruined my marriage, made my husband sleep with other women and I will never stop hating him. It was all him, I hated him, and I wanted him dead. I wanted them both dead!"

While Mrs. Dalton was screaming and had begun to jerk her body back and forth, Castle helped Brad and Darnley before Emerson had him get out of the way and he went to his wife. "She doesn't know," he murmured in Irish.

"I don't think she does," Beckett said, relieved at that.

"Get her out of here," Brad said. "And take her down to jail, I'll speak to her there, but she'll need restraints." He was helping the others take the woman to Emerson's car and said, "She needs to be hobbled."

"Patrick," Beckett said before she stopped herself, not wanting him to be kicked as Mrs. Dalton was still fighting. She felt her husband's hand touch her back momentarily before she tried to relax, though she was still concerned about her friend. But eventually Mrs. Dalton was in the back of the car, and she sighed before she said, "I hope we're finished."

"Me too, I wanted to throttle her," Castle said. "Her own child."

"I don't think she wanted to be pregnant," Darnley said.

"Are you guys okay?" Castle asked the pair since the chief was with the carpenter and both were almost panting.

"Yeah, I'm thinking she's under the influence of something," Brad said. "Did you send Mr. Dalton to the station?"

"I did," Castle said. "I figured he'd need to go there."

"I need to call in for them to take the sons to jail too, I don't want them where their father is; even if they're in holding," Brad said quickly. "And we'll go to talk to him."

"We'll meet you there," Beckett said. She wasn't surprised when the chief nodded, and they walked back to their cars before they were leaving the house to the officers remaining.

"Is it true?" Mr. Dalton said, looking upset when Castle and Beckett entered the interview room he'd been set in.

"Unfortunately it is," Castle said. He wasn't surprised when the man sobbed before turning away from them and they were silent to let him calm down. It took a little before Mr. Dalton was calming down and he wondered if he'd want to hear anything of what his wife had confessed to before he was speaking roughly.

"I… I'd like to know what she… what she told you," Mr. Dalton said.

Beckett, since she and Castle had talked about it and decided she should tell him, spoke in a very calm tone and gently, though she wasn't surprised it wasn't easing up the pain for the man. "I'm so sorry," she said once she had finished. "She's been taken to jail and your sons as well."

"They won't be my sons for long," Mr. Dalton said, his hands clenching into fists. "And I'll be a single man." He let out a heavy breath before he suddenly became concerned and asked, "What about my daughter?"

"Your daughter?" Castle asked in surprise.

"Tamara, I have a daughter too," Mr. Dalton said.

"We've met her," Beckett said, holding her hand out to him to calm him down. "And she'll be fine, your wife never mentioned her; only that you'd slept with other women."

"I ended up only sleeping with Tamara's mother," Mr. Dalton replied.

"How do you know about her?" Castle asked.

Mr. Dalton closed his eyes tightly and then said, "I was ready to divorce Bobbie again after we'd reconciled. Well, two years later. But she was adamant that she would win full custody of Adam and I'd never see them again; I couldn't risk not seeing my sons."

"But she said Adam specifically?" Beckett asked. When the man nodded, she then said, "You haven't been in contact with her?"

Shaking his head Mr. Dalton said, "I've used a PI to get updates on her, how she's doing. I know she was born my son but…" trailing off as he spread his hands. His jaw clenched for a moment, and he said, "She's the only family I have now. Is there any way I can meet her?"

"We'll try and set that up for you," Castle said before he and Beckett were leaving.

"Well?" Brad asked them.

"We'll take him, but we need to get Julia first," Beckett said with a brief nod as her husband was looking at her to answer. "And follow Adam's request."
