Sometime after Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi order, she decided that she needed to update her look, and needed it to be a clean slate to remind her of what they had indeed fought to protect those who could not protect themselves, even if she wasn't fighting on a battlefield anymore. She remembered Captain Rex telling her when she was a young Padawan to Anakin ("In my book experience outranks everything"). As she pondered those words that had been the beginning of a very close friendship between them, she knew that whatever attire was chosen should have some armor on it somewhere. She had always been intrigued by the perspective of armor as the clones she worked with took great pride individualizing their precious armor for it was one of the only things, besides their blasters that they owned.
She also wanted her outfit to consist of a dress with three gray armor plates with tech like lines carved into them. Then wove them together as a belt and she used part of her old dress to create the maroon like a circle for her top, along with sewing on the straps to the top of her new gray armored dress. She added some gray long sleeves that extend to her shoulders, arm guards; she also wore black leggings, and gray armored boots to match. The final new addition was her headband as her old Akul headdress was a constant reminder of her time in the order and it no longer held as much meaning to after it no longer carried her Padawan braid on it, so she chooses to make a matching cloth headband in its place. She thought to herself Rexy would be proud if he could see me now wearing this new armored outfit, she smiled to herself knowing that one day they would be reunited in a new fight for the galaxy
