This was written for the five drabbles challenge. The prompt "I would never lie to you" was used.

It had been almost a week since Alicia had run into Adrian at the library, but they still caught each other's eyes in the hallways. H

One day after charms he was leaning against the door. Her other classmates had disappeared and she didn't realize how long she had been staring until she heard Adrian snap his book close. "See something you like?" He asked her teasingly.

Alicia scoffed and shook her head. "Please. You're so full of yourself. I shouldn't be surprised considering that you're a Slytherin though."

She rolled her eyes and started walking away from him.

Adrian dashed in front of her and blocked her from exiting the corridor.

Alicia drew herself to her full height and tried to shove him aside. "Move!"

The smirk on Adrian's face only grew as he shook his head. "I don't think so. Not until you tell me what the other night was all about."

Her eyes widened. She couldn't believe he actually remembered that. "I don't know what you're talking about," she lied as she started to duck around him.

Adrian rolled his eyes and turned quickly. He backed her into the wall and rested an arm above her head. "Come on, Spinnet. You're not the type to do the whole bump into someone and run off thing. You had an agenda. You don't have to play games with me."

Their eyes met when she looked up at him again. She leaned forward until her chest was pressed against his.

The sudden movement caused Adrian's eyes to widen in alarm, but he didn't move away. "What's your agenda, Pucey?"

He scowled. "Please. Slytherins don't have agendas."

Alicia threw her head back and laughed. "I know you're definitely lying there. Slytherins always have agendas."

Adrian's eyes narrowed as he took a step forward to close the gap between them. "I would never lie to you," he muttered as he drew an arm around her waist.

Her breathing turned shallow when he pressed against her, but then someone cleared their voice before things could escalate further.

Alicia's eyes widened when she saw Professor Snape standing there with a confused look on his face and she used both of her hands to push Adrian away from her.

"Is there a…problem here?" Professor Snape asked.

"No, sir," she said, wishing the floor would swallow her whole. Through the corner of her eyes she could see a delighted expression had appeared on Adrian's face and it looked like he was having a silent laughing fit.

Professor Snape turned to look at Adrian. "Mr. Pucey?"

Adrian barely had a second to contain his laughter as he tried to straighten his face into a serious expression. "No, sir," he managed to breathe out. She could see tears starting to form.

Alicia crossed her arms and frowned at Adrian.

Professor Snape narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the two. "Very well. I'd suggest that you two return to…your own dormitories. It's unwise to be lingering in the corridors."

This comment seemed to set Adrian off into a silent fit again, causing Alicia to roll her eyes. "Yes, sir," she said.

He gazed at the two of them again before he wandered off.

Alicia turned towards Adrian furiously. "What the bloody hell, Pucey?"

Adrian only held out his hands defensively. "Merlin, you should have seen the look on your face," he said as he started cracking up.

"It's not funny," Alicia said, pushing him again.

"Yeah, it is. You were like a deer in the spotlight," Adrian said, laughing again.

"Oh, I hate you," she said, turning away from him.

This caused Adrian to let out an amused laughter again. "No, you don't," he said in that stupid smug voice.

"Yes, I do," she retorted.

"Prove it. We could continue where we left off." He spun her towards him and Alicia tried to ignore her body's reaction to his touch. She swallowed nervously when he started to tilt his head down to kiss her.

Her mind spun and her heart was dancing wildly in her chest when they were inches away. She was being pulled in like a magnet. Merlin, she wanted that kiss.

She had just parted her lips in anticipation of the kiss when all of a sudden she took a step back.

"Guess I proved you wrong," Alicia said cheerfully, breaking the moment. "I still hate you."

Adrian groaned. "Oh, come on Spinnet. We don't really hate each other."

She spun on her heel. "Later, Adrian."
