Chapter 2
As the Hogwarts Express stops at Platform Nine and Three Quarters and blew its horn, Cho gets her bag and goes out of the train along with other students who leaving the train station with their families for Christmas Holiday. With her mother or father nowhere in sight on the Platform, Cho walks through the barrier and outside the train station finds her father Jin-hwan Lee a 50-year-old South Korean native turned British citizen with black hair with some grey streaks indicating he is getting older. He is much taller than Cho and in good physical shape as well as having some scars and burns on his face and hands during his time in the South Korean Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was leaning on the car waiting for her, she runs over to him and wraps her arms around his neck and says, "嗨, 爸爸! (Hi daddy!)" he hugs her back and says, "Hi Princess!" they break off from the hug and Cho asks, "Dad where's mum I thought she was picking me up from the platform today?"
"Oh, that workaholic wife of mine and Mother yours is swamped with work and asked me to pick you up today." Jin-hwan replied.
"Okay" Cho said
Jin-hwan takes Cho's bag opens the trunk and puts it in, they get into car and leave King's Cross Station.
" 그래서, 공주는 호그와트에서 여섯 번째 해는 지금까지 가는 방법? (So, Princess how is your sixth year at Hogwarts going so far)" Jin-hwan asked.
Cho sighs and answers "그것은 점점 더 악화 매일 난 그냥 더 이상 참을 수 없어. (It is getting worse every day I just can't stand it anymore)"
"I see, I hear that the female version of Kim Jong Il has reformed your school from reading The Daily Prophet" Jin-hwan said.
"Yes, she has and it's like a police state and we can't do anything unless it was approved by her or the Ministry while the scumbag Malfoy and his merry band of sycophants waltz around the school like they own the place" Cho said.
"Toad Woman made her own Gestapo to crush any uprising of students seeking the truth about this You-Know-Who returning after being gone for 14 years."
"Yeah, she did and my faith in the Wizarding Government has reached to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean ever since the fat paranoid idiot started to smear Dumbledore and sent that pink arse kissing toad to the school to quote on quote "make sure that Dumbledore is not plotting to overthrow him" give me a break" Cho said.
Jin-hwan chuckles and assures her "Don't worry Princess I'm sure that Eva Umbridge and this insult to Winston Churchill will soon learn that ruling by fear and paranoia would have dire consequences."
"I hope so too" Cho agreed "I found out what happened to my boyfriend Cedric at the Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament last year the guy that took me to the Yule Ball."
"Does it involve that Potter boy and your Headmaster being smeared by your government?" Jin-hwan asked.
"Yes, and Harry told me who killed Cedric" Cho answered
"Who did it?" he asked.
"It was Peter Pettigrew aka Wormtail he's the one that killed Cedric, sold out the Potters, killed those 12 muggles and framed his other friend Sirius Black for it 14 years ago." Cho said
"Wait I remember Peter, the scar faced one, the two tall ones that being James and Sirius as well as that beautiful red headed, and green-eyed woman named Lily who was your mother's friend when they were in Hogwarts together. They were all at our wedding" Jin-hwan told her.
"Re-Really mum and Harry's mum used to be friends when they were in school together" Cho said as her eyes widen at the surprising memory.
"Yep, they were, and we have pictures of them at me and your mother's wedding somewhere in the house" Jin-hwan said. He then chuckles as he remembers his wife's friends partying and having a good time at their reception.
"Okay, let's look it at when we get home" Cho said
Cho and her father made it home in their apartment in Westminster, they began searching for her parents' wedding book, they found it and sits on the couch and starts to look at the pictures of the wedding. Both Cho and Jin-hwan smiled as she looks at the pictures of parents and her friends who were the Potters James and Lily as well as Sirius Black and her former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Remus Lupin having fun but then Cho trembled in anger and growled as she looks at a picture of Peter Pettigrew the man that was the architect of Lord Voldemort's return and the death of Cedric. "That's him dad! he is the one killed Cedric and sold out the Potters as well as killing those twelve muggles who witnessed the scuffle between him and Sirius Black."
"Who Peter? He is the one that caused all of this drama in your world." Jin-hwan said.
"Yes, he did daddy" Cho said.
"Never expected Peter to do all the heinous crimes over the years, your mother told me that Peter was the pet of his group of friends when they were in Hogwarts together always following them and having no backbone when he gets into trouble they always come and recuse him." Jin-hwan said.
Cho mutters under her breath "That sounds like my so-called friends they worshipped me when everything was going good for me and then they left me when I needed them the most and there's Marietta who was there for me but not there when we have to go the DA meetings."
"Is something wrong princess?" Jin-hwan asked.
"It's just that "my friends" who only like me because I'm seeker for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and then they abandoned me when I lost Cedric. Just like Wormtail who likes to worship his friends when he was in Hogwarts and then leaves them when they need him. I have a feeling Marietta is going to leave me too because I've been talking to Harry lately" Cho answered with a sigh.
"Don't worry about that Cho people like that they come and go. You'll find better friends that like you for you not for your talents and accolades" Jin-hwan assured her.
"R-Really you think I make better friends daddy" Cho said
"Of course, you can princess. Cho you are a sweet, intelligent, determined, and compassionate young woman I can see why many people sought you out like Cedric the boy you loved after you two went the Yule Ball together. I wouldn't be surprised if you become friends with James and Lily's son Harry." Jin-hwan told Cho.
Cho smiled at the thought of being friends with Harry instead of Marietta then she hears the door open, it was her mother Chuya entering the house after a long day of work at the Ministry. Cho and Jin-hwan get up from the couch and says in unison "Hi mum, hi dear" Chuya replies "嗨，趙，嗨，親愛的 (Hi Cho, hi honey)" as she gives Cho a hug then she kisses her husband on the lips. Cho breaks from the hug and says, "Mum there some things we need to talk about."
Chuya huffs and says as she picks up her bags and had set them on the table "Cho can it wait I just got in the house. we can talk during dinner okay."
"Okay mum" Cho nodded
At Dinner Chuya stops eating and asks Cho "喬你想跟我談些什麼? (Cho what did you want to talk to me about?)"
Cho puts her fork down and takes a deep breath "Well mum". She begins telling her mother on what Harry told her about what happened to Cedric and who killed him in Little Haggleton as well all the events that happened after and before the Triwizard Tournament. Chuya wasn't surprised at Pettigrew betraying his friends she knew that Pettigrew was a big coward when she was at Hogwarts. However, Chuya was angry at Fudge for having the Triwizard Tournament three months after the Death Eaters attacked innocent people after the Quidditch World Cup match of Ireland versus Bulgaria with no investigation. Also, she was angry at Dumbledore and Fudge for letting Harry compete in the Tournament at fourteen, but she was happy when Harry brought back Cedric's body and told her daughter what had happen to her boyfriend.
"嗯 會做點什麼的? (Mum are you going do something about it?)" Cho asked.
"I don't if I can Cho since Fudge is completely in denial of You-Know-Who's return but I can get Sirius a trial that's if I could catch him." Chuya said.
Cho smiles at this and said, "That's great Mum I know some people in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement are getting sick and tired of the wild goose chase of Sirius Black."
"Yeah, we are getting tired of chasing Sirius down might is well have a trial." Chuya said. She then asks Cho "What made Harry tell you what happened to Cedric?"
"I don't know maybe it was survivors' guilt was getting to him or maybe his supposed Girlfriend Hermione Granger told him to tell me I just don't know mum" Cho said.
"It must have been Survivors' guilt I remember being like Harry when I was in the Korean War which is still going on and the Vietnam War that ended twenty years ago" Jin-hwan said.
"Oh, that's right you did fight in those wars dad." Cho said.
"Yep, and I had to fight many battles one with the North Korean Army, one with the NVA and the Vietcong and one within myself after my time patrolling the North and South Korean border and in Vietnam." Jin-hwan said then sighs as he continued "When I go to my base after a battle sometimes, I felt like throwing the typewriter into the ground shattering it into a million pieces when I had to write to the families and lovers of the men that served I with who died trying to keep a country from falling to an idea that killed millions of people in China, Russia, as well as North Korea and enriched their so-called leaders. Overtime I realized that the world doesn't revolve around me and they wouldn't want me to blame to myself nor their families and lovers would want to blame me for what happened to them."
"Same thing with Cedric, he wouldn't want me to blame Harry and Harry to blaming himself for what happened that day." Cho said "You-Know-Who is just as evil as Adolf Hitler, Kim Jong Il, and Joseph Stalin
" Yeah this You-Know-Who is just as evil as every other dictator in the world Princess and Cedric wouldn't want you and Harry to start blaming each other for what had happen to him neither." Jin-hwan agreed
Dinner was over and after helping her parents with washing the dishes Cho goes into the living room, turns on the T.V and turned on her Sega Genesis. She puts in Mortal Kombat II, sits on the couch, and starts to play, she picks her favorite character Kitana Princess of Edenia, Shao Khan's adopted daughter and Assassin and the love interest of the main protagonist Liu Kang, who wields steel fans and could manipulate wind along with her skills in martial arts to defeat her enemies. Cho imagines herself helping Harry fight Voldemort in a big battle just like Kitana does for Liu Kang in his fight against Shao Khan in the game. Cho playing as the Blue clad fan-wielding kunoichi princess progressing through the game defeating Reptile, Baraka, Mileena, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Kintaro and finally Shao Khan himself it took her a while to defeat the evil emperor since he spams shoulder attacks and uses his hammer as well as taunting players, but she manages to defeat the video game tyrant. "Yes!" Cho said as she jumps for joy.
Chuya giggles as she looks at her daughter jumping for joy after Cho defeating a villain in a video game "You wish you could do that to You-Know-Who"
Cho turns around and looks at her mother laughingly responds "No that's Harry's job but I could kick one of You-Know-Who's boot licking sycophants in the teeth and turn him into a frog and also squish him"
"That I want to see happen" Chuya said smiling as she sits on the couch next to Cho.
"What do you think about what I told you what happened to Cedric? Cho asked as she puts down the controller
"Well, it's lot to take in but I will get Sirius a trial even though Fudge will try to fire me, but I don't care it would be all worth it to rattle his cage." Chuya said
"That would be fun to do but you know what the worst thing about all of this?" Cho said as she tries holds back her tears as they well up in her eyes.
"這是什麼趙? (What is it Cho?)" Chuya asked she holds Cho in her arms.
"The worst thing is that I didn't even get to say goodbye to Cedric I only said good luck before
he left into the Maze in the Third Task of that stupid tournament." Cho answered then burst into tears.
Chuya held Cho tightly in her arms as Cho snuggles into her mother's chest drenching her mother's shirt in her tears "我感覺自己像一隻翅膀折斷的鳥. (I feel like a bird with broken wings)" Cho whispered.
Chuya strokes Cho's black hair wipes the tears off her cheeks, and whispers in her ear."喬你的翅膀可能會被打破，但他們現在在癒合過程中，當他們癒合，他們將比以往任何時候都更強大，讓你飆升到新的高度 (Cho your wings maybe broken but they are in the process of healing now and when they heal, they would be stronger than ever allowing you to soar to new heights."
Cho stops crying and smiles after hearing what her mother said as she falls asleep in Her mother's arms. Jin-hwan comes in the living room and smiles at his wife and Daughter, he then turns off the T.V and the Sega Genesis "Alright Princess it's time for bed" Jin-Hwan said as he picks up Cho bridal style and carrying to her room and placing Cho on the bed Chuya comes in and puts on the blanket for Cho and They kiss their daughter's cheek before going to bed themselves.
(In Cho's dream)
Cho was sitting down somewhere oddly familiar it was Madam Puddifoots Tea Shop except it wasn't pink but all white except for her table. She hears a familiar voice and turns around it was Cedric who was still wearing his Triwizard Tournament clothes before he died, he was holding a tray of two cups of unsweetened tea, a bowl of sugar cubes, a bowl of lemon wedges and plate of biscuits. Cho gets up, runs over to Cedric, and tackles him with a bone-crushing hug causing Cedric to spill everything that was on the tray. Cho places her head on to her boyfriend's chest and cries. Cedric hugs Cho back and says, "It's okay I'm here Cho come on let's get up and let's talk."
"Okay Cedric" Cho said as she gets up and then she pulls out her wand and casts Scrougfiy cleaning the up the mess that she made.
Cedric and Cho sit down, and Cedric asks, "Cho how is it going?"
Cho sighs and takes a deep breath "Well things are getting better and worse at the same time."
"How so Cho?"
"There is this toad woman named Delores Umbridge who is at our school and is our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher she is the absolute worst thing to come to our school. She treats us if we were like two-year-olds." Cho replied.
"Wow I never expected to be that bad."
"You sound like my dad but that is just the tip of the iceberg" Cho said, "The Ministry starts smear campaign on Harry and Dumbledore for saying that Voldemort is back which clearly he is back."
"I see. Is there anything good that is happening?"
"I'm in the Dumbledore's Army it's a secret organization led by Harry and friends Hermione and Ron to teach us proper magic since Karen Umbitch won't teach us because her boyfriend Fudge is scared of Dumbledore taking his job and she is sent there to make sure Dumbledore and Harry 'don't brainwash us with their lies about Voldemort returning' to along with their plans." Cho replied.
"That's brilliant Cho!" Cedric said, "Have you done something incredible while learning in the secret army?"
Cho smirked "Not really my first lesson when learning how to do the Disarming Charm I set Marietta's sleeve on fire."
"That must have been funny" Cedric chuckled he then asks, "Is there anything else?"
"Harry told me what happened to you in the third task of that stupid tournament which should have never happen in the first place after the incident in Quidditch World Cup match." Cho answered.
"Oh, I'm so sorry about that Cho." Cedric apologized "I should have stepped back or let Harry stun me and I should have never touched that cup. I thought Harry and I would come back to the starting point to see you, my parents, and our friends holding the cup in our hands. However, those expectations were shattered when we transported to some graveyard in Southern England and then we saw some old hag coming out of the crypt carrying something that look like something out of a Horror movie and Harry's scar was hurting he told me to get back and the abomination spoke and it said to the old hag to kill the spare which was me and I got hit with killing curse"
"Yeah, that old hag was Peter Pettigrew, and that abomination was Voldemort." Cho said.
"Peter Pettigrew wasn't he killed by his former friend Sirius Black along with 12 muggles when they fought 14 years ago"
"Peter Pettigrew was the one who killed those muggles as well as selling out the Potters all those years ago also Pettigrew and another one of Voldemort's boot licking sycophant Barty Crouch jr set Harry up to compete in the Triwizard Tournament."
"I see what happened after I was killed?" Cedric asked
"Harry and Voldemort perform Priori Incantatem when Harry casted Expelliarmus and Voldemort casted Avada Kedarva at the same time then you and Harry's Parents told Harry to let go and escape Little Haggleton and took your body back to the starting point of the maze." Cho answered
"Well, I knew that Harry is a talented kid and I'm glad he told you me what happened to me I know it have been hard to recollect the events of that day."
"Yeah, Harry is a talented kid despite what people say about him. I would never lose faith in him because he always come through in the end." Cho said, "It was really hard for him Cedric and you wouldn't want Harry and I to start blaming each other for what happen that day."
"I know I wouldn't want that from neither both of you as well." Cedric said, "Do you still like Harry Cho?"
"Yes, I do but I'm taking my time and want to get to know him better. I just can't fall in love with Harry right off the bat after learning about what happen to you." Cho told him
"Yeah that would have been a disaster" Cedric chuckled he then tells Cho "Cho I just want you be Happy okay with whoever I know my death derailed you, but I know you will get your life back together"
"Thanks Cedric I will get through this and become even stronger than ever" Cho said
"I know you will and your welcome Cho" he said. Then Cedric gets up from his chair "It's time for me to go, I had good time talking to you."
"Ok Cedric I also had a good time talking to you as well" Cho smiled as she gets up from her chair and hugs Cedric one last time.
Cedric breaks from the hug and points at Cho's heart "Me too Cho and remember I will always be in here" he smiles as he leaves the tea shop.
"Okay Cedric goodbye" Cho said.
(Not in Cho's Dream)
"Okay Cedric goodbye" murmured Cho as she went back to sleep.
In Jin-hwan and Chuya's room, Chuya was sitting down on her chair looking into her mirror on the dresser brushing her hair while Jin-hwan was laying on the bed reading Bloods: An Oral History of the Vietnam War. Chuya stops brushing her hair and sighs, "I'm worried about Cho."
Jin-hwan puts down his book and says, "Me too but I'm glad that Harry told her what happened to Cedric it's exceedingly difficult dealing survivor's guilt especially at young age like Harry and I was the same way during the war."
"I know baby and it's also difficult coping with the death of a person that you genuinely love either. do you remember what happened to my older brother Charlie?
"Oh yeah you told me told me about him that he was a good brother to you and was friendly with everyone." Jin-hwan said.
"That he was until he was killed by that bitch Bellatrix Lestrange" Chuya said "I hope she stays in Azkaban for the rest of her wretched life."
"I'm not so sure about that with her being so fanatically devoted to her master she is bound to escape one day." Jin-hwan said.
"Due to Cornelius Fudge's incompetence." Chuya hissed.
"It would lead to one big battle to where both Harry and You-Know-Who fight each other at someplace they consider home" Jin-hwan told Chuya.
"How do you know that?" Chuya asked.
"Chuya I'm a solider I know when a battle is coming sure the weapons are different, but the methods stay the same." Jin-hwan said
"What methods are the same?"
"All warfare is based on deception You-Know-Who is using the incompetence of the wizarding government to his advantage to get his main prize which is Harry alone." Jin-hwan told Chuya
"Oh, I get it now" Chuya said then asks Jin-hwan" Do you think I should get Sirius a fair trial honey?"
"Of course, darling this was your ex-boyfriend's best friend. You two did date when you were teenagers right?"
"Yeah, James and I did go out for a bit after he took me to the Valentine's Day Ball, but I knew that Lily was his one and only. I know that they died so young, but they have a wonderful son who is just as wonderful as they were." Chuya said as she lays in the bed and cuddles with her husband placing her head on his muscular chest.
Jin-hwan plays with his wife's hair and asks, "Were you jealous?"
"I was a bit jealous, but I knew that love would never give up on me so easily and I found a handsome man that I'm cuddling the bed with at the moment" she said looking up into Jin-hwan's eyes.
"Is that a fact?" Jin-hwan said looking back into his wife's eyes.
Chuya giggles and gets on top of him strips out of her blue Negligee grinding on his crotch which was getting him hard and speaks in a seductive tone "Jin you have been a good boy year and you can open your gift two days before Christmas."
"So, I've been a good boy while you have been a naughty girl?" Jin-hwan asked as his hands were caressing his wife's curvaceous rear end.
Chuya smiles and huskily says "Oh, you know me too well baby."
Jin-hwan rolls on top of Chuya, he pins her arms down, kisses her while she wraps her legs around his waist and began to make love through the night.
