Chapter 4
Cho gets up from her bed and stretches after taking a nap, she looks at her clock which reads 2:00 her parents usually get home around 6:00-8:00 since they work late, she shrugs at this and decides to go upstairs to the family's training room to practice her martial arts. When Cho was young both her parents trained her in martial arts with Chuya teaching her Ba Gua, Eagle Claw, and Wing Chun as well as Wushu while Jin-hwan taught her Boxing, Taekwondo, and Judo. Cho even trained at Hogwarts when she had time usually early in the morning, but she stopped when Cedric was murdered however, after learning the truth about what happened to him last year, she wants to resume her martial arts training. Cho puts on her blue sports bra and purple short shorts that hugged her wide hips and some dark blue yoga socks. She puts her hair in a bun then grabs her water bottle, a towel, and her radio as well as a cassette tape of house music and headed upstairs to the training room which consists of a punching bag, weights, a pull up bar, some jump rope, fighting gear and a Chinese wooden dummy.
Once upstairs Cho puts down her water bottle and plugs her radio in and puts in the cassette tape. The music starts playing and she beings warming herself by doing some jumping jacks, sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, 30 minutes of skipping rope, and 10 minutes of stretching out her arms and legs.
Now that warming herself up is over, the music kicks into second gear Cho cracks both her knuckles and her neck then says, "This is where the fun begins."
She works on the Chinese wooden dummy and the punching bag for an hour. Despite the six-month hiatus that Cho took, she able to perform and remember all the punches, elbow, knee, and hand strikes, as well as kicks and some grapples that she learned over the years. Cho stops hitting the punching bag and the wooden dummy as her body is dripping of sweat and out of breath, she gets her water bottle taking a few sips from it cooling her down. "That was good getting back on the horse with my training." She said as wipes the sweat off her brow then smirks "Maybe I could teach the DA how to fight without a wand instead of relying on magic all the time. Not only that the DA would be in fighting shape, but it would also increase their reflexes because most of them don't play Quidditch at all."
Cho goes downstairs to the bathroom to take a shower; she takes off her clothes and turns on the shower as she was about to enter, she hears a knock on the door "Ugh who could it be this time better not be any scamming bill collectors or Christmas Carolers" Cho groaned as she wraps a towel around her body and another one on her head. The knocking on the door gets louder as Cho approaches the door "Ugh for the love of Rowena I'm coming" she opens the door and sees Michael Corner at the door he greets her with "Hey Cho"
"Oh hey Michael how are you?" Cho greeted back
"I'm good and how was your Christmas Cho?" Michael asked
"It was okay just your typical generic boring holiday" Cho replied, "How was yours?"
"I can't disagree with you on that Cho mine was boring also." Michael chuckled then he started to blush hard as he sees Cho with nothing, but a towel wrapped around her body "Uh. I'm sorry for disrupting you from taking a shower."
"Oh, don't worry about that" Cho assured him she then tells him "Come on in."
"Uh okay" Michael said following Cho into her house and taking his shoes off placing them neatly by the door.
"I'm going to take a shower and you could watch some TV or play on the Sega Genesis I have Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 you could play if you want." Cho said
"Woah you got Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3." Michael said his eyes widened with excitement.
"Yup just get the game started I'll be back just let me take a shower okay" Cho said as she goes to bathroom.
"Okay Cho" Michael complied
As Michael sets up the Sega Genesis to the TV and starts up the game, he couldn't help himself staring at Cho's nicely rounded rear end as she walks to the bathroom he mutters "Man I wish she would have offered me to join her in the shower but then again she would offered it to Potter, Diggory or even Davies ugh."
After the shower Cho puts on a purple tank top underneath a blue hoodie and blue trackpants. She puts her hair in a bun held up by a pair of chopsticks. She walks into the living room and sees Michael sitting down on the couch playing Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 as Sub-Zero and is struggling against Shao Khan who was the boss of the previous Mortal Kombat game "Damnit" Michael said in a fit of rage and throws the controller on the ground as he loses to the video game tyrant.
Cho laughs at the Ravenclaw boy's loss in the Video game then advises him with "Come on Michael have to block Shao Khan's spears and energy balls."
"I'm doing that, but he also spams that shoulder attack and hit's me with his hammer if get in close." Michael snapped. "Merlin it's so fucking hard."
"Michael stop whining it's just a game" Cho said
"Yeah, a game where the bad guy laughs at you and tells that you rubbish." Michael said sarcastically.
Cho rolled her eyes and said, "Give me the Controller let me play I'll show you how it's done."
Michael huffs and gives Cho the controller "Fine here show me how it's done."
"Okay" Cho said. She picks her favorite character Kitana and defeats Baraka, Reptile, Mileena, Ermac, Sektor, Sonya Blade, Jax, Cyrax, Scorpion, Jade, Sindel, Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, Motaro and Shao Khan. Michael's jaw dropped as Cho defeats everyone in one try including sub-boss and the final boss in one try.
"How did you do that?" Michael asked
"What I just adapt to their patterns Michael that is what you should do when you are playing against a boss" Cho replied.
"Really?"
"Yes, it's how it's done. Do you want to play against me?"
"Okay Cho bring it on" Michael said.
Michael gets another controller from the drawer and plugs it into the Sega Genesis, sits back down on the couch and selects Sub-Zero to fight Cho's character Kitana. They go a few rounds with Cho winning most of matches leaving Michael frustrated. An hour later Cho and Michael decided to watch Star Wars episode V Empire Strikes Back, as the movie progresses Michael sat close to Cho and tries to wrap his arm around her waist, annoyed at this Cho wiggles herself out Michael's grasp, grabs the remote and pauses the movie and asks sternly "What are you doing?"
"Uh-uh I wa-was ju-just setting the mood look Han Solo and Princess Leia are sharing their first kiss in the asteroid field" Michael said stutteringly
"Michael I'm not your Princess Leia nor you're my Han Solo" Cho said.
"But you're not dating anybody right?" Michael asked
"So, what does that mean and aren't you with Ginny?"
"I don't give a fuck about Ginny she is nothing but an annoying little fangirl." Michael hissed
"Michael!?" Cho gasped. "Why would you say that about her? Don't love her?"
"Apparently she doesn't love me so why should I have love her." Michael said as he inches closer to Cho. "Besides Cho we have so much in common we are in the same house, we like video games, we like the same quidditch team that being the Tutshill Tornadoes, we like the same music, and I knew you longer than Diggory or Potter so that would make us interested in dating each other."
Cho moved away from Michael after hearing his confession and said sternly "Look Michael, I thought you were a nice guy, but you really are not one. You only want to be nice to me and not be nice to anyone that's sick. I told you that I'm not interested in dating you ever since I've grown a pair of tits."
"But Cho-"
Cho gets up from the couch, stands by the door, leans on the door. She folds her arms and stares at Michael with a blank expression on her face and says sternly "It's time for you to leave my house"
"Cho come on be reasonable" Michael pleaded.
Unknown to Cho and Michael Jin-hwan was on his way upstairs to the house.
"I am being reasonable Michael I don't need to date anyone let alone you." Cho told Michael
"It's only been six months since Cedric's death" Michael said.
"So doesn't make me available for dating Michael." Cho snapped. "How many times do I have to tell you Michael I'm not interested in you just because we grew up together and was sorted in the same house liking the same things that doesn't make us soulmates. I need some time to heal and get my life back together okay and didn't I told you to get out of my house."
"What if I don't leave" Michael said stubbornly
"Then I'll drag you arse out" Jin-hwan said standing behind Cho.
Michael eyes widened in horror as he sees Jin-hwan towering both him and Cho. He flusters as Jin-hwan bares down on him "Uh u-h Mr. Lee I thought you..."
"Thought I what come home see you trying to get between my daughter's legs when she specifically told you that she is clearly not interested in you." Jin-hwan growled.
"Um uh th-that's n-n-not what I had p-planned on doing." Michael said concealing his collywobbles.
"What were you planning then wanting to get with my daughter after she lost her boyfriend Cedric six months ago and you want claim her fresh off the rebound then throw another girl under the bus that's disgusting" Jin-hwan retorted
"Yes, I do want to be with but-"
"But, Cho told you no didn't she" Jin-hwan interrupted Michael.
"Yes, she did tell me that she wasn't interested in dating me."
"That's right" Jin-hwan said he then grabs Michael by the shirt pulling him close and says in a threatening tone "If it happens again, I'll come to Hogwarts myself and we'll have our date you understand"
"Y-yes s-sir" Michael nodded.
Jin-hwan lets go of Michael and says, "Good, get out of here."
Michael gets his coat and shoes runs down the stairs and then stumbles outside. Cho giggles at the Ravenclaw boy's near fall then locks the door. She walks back into the living room, sits down next to her father, and says to her him "Dad you know I had the situation under control."
"I know princess your mother and I trained you for you not to rely too much on your wand in a fight, it's just my dad instincts that kicked in for that situation you were" Jin-hwan said
"Yep dad instincts kicked in for sure and I got back to my training today" Cho said
"That's great princess I'm glad you're getting back on the horse with your training keep it up." Jin-hawn praised
"Thanks dad it's one step of me thriving again" Cho said.
"Yep Cho keep going okay" Jin-hwan told Cho "Do you still like Harry, princess?"
Cho huffs "Yes dad I do like Harry, but I want to take my time to get to know him better I can't fall in love with him after he told me what happened to Cedric also, I don't ."
"I see now that's a good thing what you doing right now you need time for yourself after what happened that day." Jin-hwan said "I remember being in you and Harry's situation when I was young."
"You were daddy?" Cho asked
"Yep, I remember when I was in Korea, I had a crush on this girl named Jia Pung she was very pretty and popular in my high school" Jin-hwan replied.
"This story is going to sound like Cedric, Harry and I isn't it" Cho said.
"I love your insight princess" Jin-hwan chuckled "I built up the courage to ask Jia on a date, but she kindly rejected me and told me that she was dating Ki-jung Seong one of my friends who also served in the army with me."
"Were you jealous dad?" Cho asked.
"I can't say I wasn't princess." Jin-hwan answered "Ki-jung and I were in Vietnam in the Binh Son District of the Quang Ngai province to be exact. One day we were on our patrol he took point of the squad since he was Captain, and I was a Lieutenant and his second in command. Just then a Vietcong sniper shot him in the chest killing him instantly we ducked for cover then some Vietcong emerged out of their foxholes and started firing at us. We fought back and I managed to kill the sniper who was hiding in the tree. After 30 minutes of furious fighting, I started to cry sure I've seen death and destruction before when I was young during the Korean war, but this is my friend I'm talking about." Jin-hwan cried as tears flowed down his cheeks from telling his story.
Cho sits next to her father and wrapped her arm around him and cried "Oh, Daddy I'm sorry that happened to you. What happened after that?"
"Well, I got back to the base and had to write to the families of the men that were killed in that firefight. I didn't want to write because I felt so guilty of letting him get killed like that." Jin-hwan said.
"Did you get to write to them?" Cho asked
"I did I had to Cho, but I still had some feelings for Jia but in my gut, I knew it wouldn't work out if were together, so I wrote it maybe it give us some closure that's all we needed" Jin-hwan replied.
"did she write back to you?"
"Yeah, she did, and Jia told me that she apricates me giving her closure and she agreed with me that a relationship between us wouldn't work out as well."
"Like I said this story reminds me of me, Cedric, and Harry." Cho said.
"It kind of does princess" Jin-hawn chuckled
"Yup it does anyway I'm hungry" Cho said as her stomach starts to rumble.
"Me too Princess and your mother is running late as usual, I don't feel like cooking as well."
"Can we have Pizza?" Cho said happily.
"Sure, thing princess, half Pepperoni and Italian sausage and half veggie, right?" Jin-hwan said as he gets up from the couch
"Yes daddy and tell them no Olives please" Cho said
"Okay princess" Jin-hwan said as he goes into the kitchen and finds the Pizza restaurant menu.
Meanwhile at Twelve Grimmuald Place Harry was on his way to the kitchen for dinner, he investigates the Black family tree room. as he was about to go in, the family house elf Kreacher says "If it isn't Harry Potter the boy stopped the Dark Lord and is friends to mudbloods and blood traitors alike."
"Kreacher!" Sirius shouted he tells him to leave "That's enough your bile a way with ya."
"Kreacher is always a servant to the noble house of black" Kreacher said as he leaves.
"Sorry about that he was always unpleasant even when I was a boy." Sirius said as walking to the room.
"You grew up here" Harry said
"This is my parents house then it was used headquarters for the Order." Sirius said, "This is the Black family tree my deranged cousin Bellatrix I hated most of them except for Andromeda who is my favorite cousin and my uncle Alphard who gave me the inheritance and this place."
"You ran away?" Harry asked.
"I did when I was sixteen my mother blasted my name off of the family tree" Sirius replied.
"Where did you go?"
"Your Dad's house your grandparents treated me like I was their son but sadly they died of dragon pox the same year when you were born."
"Oh, Sirius when I saw Mr. Weasley being attacked by Voldemort, I felt like I was there watching it. every day I feel like I'm turning into him and I'm angry all the time and I just don't know why." Harry exclaimed in a panic tone.
Sirius assures his godson with "Harry you are not a bad person just bad things happened to you. The world is not split into light and dark it's the path you choose to walk on. When this is all over, we will be a real family I promise" Sirius hugged Harry tightly and Harry couldn't help to shed some tears on his godfather's shoulder.
"Okay Sirius" Harry said hugging him tighter.
"Let's get downstairs before Molly has a fit" Sirius said breaking off the hug.
"Yeah let's go" Harry said as they left the room and head to the kitchen.
