Chapter 6

Later that night, Snape walks into Dumbledore office uncertain of the headmaster's intentions since the meeting being Potter related which he wasn't looking forward to due to his resentment towards boy's father James and unleashes it on to Harry.

"Ahh Severus greetings" Dumbledore said as Snape entered his office.

"You wished to see me Headmaster" Snape asked as Dumbledore motions him to sit down on the chair in front of Dumbledore's desk.

"Yes, I did, and I do apologize for summoning you this late but there are things that I need to discuss with you. For example, that night when Arthur Weasley was attacked by Voldemort's snake Nagini in the Department of Mysteries two days before Christmas Holiday." Dumbledore sighed

"I see." Snape said quietly. He didn't like the Weasleys, but Arthur was a member of The Order of the Phoenix. He was relieved that the dark lord didn't reduce the number of Order members. "Potter saw the attack through Voldemort's mind since he is connected to him."

"Yes, he has, and it comes to my decision that you should teach Harry Occlumency for the remainder of the year Severus in order to prevent Voldemort from manipulating Harry's mind even further." Dumbledore said.

"Why me?" Snape asked, "Can't you teach Potter he always sucks up to you as much he does to his father and Black."

"Severus you know that I can't teach Harry Occlumency because Voldemort would go after me and it to-"

"Oh, don't start that Greater Good tripe with me because you kept that boy in the dark for the majority of his life." Snape interrupted

"I know I did keep Harry in the dark for all of his life I had to okay, and you haven't treated Harry fairly either you always compare him to James." Dumbledore said.

"Yes, I do compare that boy to that swine who robbed me of everything that I wanted twenty years ago." Snape growled.

"It was your fault as well that day when you called Lily that derogatory slur because of you being humiliated that day and wouldn't let go of your pride." Dumbledore remined Snape of his actions.

Snape stayed silent he knew what he said to Lily that day and it was just as bad as James bullying him when they were young. Snape huffs and concedes "Fine I'll teach the boy Occlumency" he then asks, "when will I begin the lessons?"

"Well, you can tell him that he needs some remedial Potions class for extra credit." Dumbledore suggested.

"Yeah, he needs some extra credit instead of copying off from Granger all the damn time." Snape sneered

"Severus just be kind to Harry; he may look like James, but he is more like his mother Lily and maybe soon you will see that for yourself." Dumbledore told him.

Just then an Owl flew into the office and lands on the desks with a letter in its beak Dumbledore takes the letter, pays the Owl and it flies out the window. He reads the letter:

Dear Dumbledore,

I know you are not recruiting anybody in the Order now but there are some people that Arthur and I talked to at the Ministry's New Year's Eve party, who want to join our ranks like Amos Diggory and his wife Catherine who want justice for what happened to their son Cedric. Then there is Chuya Chang she too wants to join after her daughter Cho told her what happened to Cedric after Harry told her what happened on that day of the third task of the Triwizard Tournament.

"Interesting" Dumbledore said stroking his white beard

"What does the letter say and whose it from?" Snape asked.

"It's from Molly Weasley and she says that Amos and Catharine Diggory as well as Chuya Chang wants to join our cause to fight against the Dark Lord." Dumbledore replied

Snape grumbles as he hears that Chuya Chang is joining The Order of the Phoenix. He remembers Chuya being a bully to him just like James and Sirius when they were in Hogwarts.

"Severus is something wrong?" Dumbledore asked

"It's just that chink harlot is now joining us." Snape replied then rants "She was just like Potter always portraying herself as a perfect student but, she was just another bully. If only she stayed with that swine may-"

"Severus enough." Dumbledore interrupted "Even if James chose Chuya over Lily. It wouldn't work out between you and Lily because you would have treated her like a prize to be won and she wouldn't like it. Also, you were hanging with the wrong crowd as well on top of that you were practicing dark magic."

Snape wanted to protest, but he knew the headmaster was right. Lily didn't like what Snape was doing when they were in Hogwarts in resulting them not being friends anymore. He gets up and heads for the door as he was about to leave Dumbledore called him.

"Yes Headmaster." Asked Snape.

"Remember why we are doing this Severus, also it wouldn't for you to be a bit nicer to everyone especially Harry." Dumbledore replied

"I'll keep that in mind goodnight." Snape said as he walks out of Dumbledore's office.

Snape went back to his study and began contemplating Dumbledore's task before him. He knew the Dumbledore wouldn't ask him to do it if it was necessary. It doesn't make the situation any easier since in his opinion the boy is a complete failure as wizard just like his father. He has no idea on how he is going to teach the boy how to mentally block the dark lord. In the end this was for the one person who showed him the light when everything was dark.

He doesn't know why but for some odd reason the headmaster's words are constantly ringing in his head. After twenty years Snape still holds on to the painful memories of James Potter, Chuya Chang and their gang of bullies. When he looks at Harry sees not only James but Lily's almond-shaped green eyes.

"Dumbledore is right I've been too hard on the boy for the past five years all because of what his father did to me when I was in Hogwarts." Snape muttered to himself.

"I will teach the boy how to block the mental assaults of the dark lord and I'm not going to play favoritism with him, but he is our only hope."

"I'm doing this for you Lily I know if you were alive, you would have rip me a new one for my behavior towards your son because looks like the man you call your husband." Snape said.

As Snape prepares the Occlumency lessons for Harry he felt a weight lifted off from his mind. He wasn't sure about what the future lies ahead but it would be worth it when Voldemort is defeated.

Meanwhile on the roof of the Savoy Hotel in London the blue eagle was waiting for the junior assistant Percy Weasley and Lucius Malfoy to meet up and collect the bribe for Cornelius. She spots Percy and a couple of Aurors backing him as Lucius enters the room.

"Ah Percy" Lucius greeted as he takes a seat across from Percy.

"Hello Mr. Malfoy"

"How's your Christmas Holiday?" Lucius asked

"It was okay just my mother and I got into an argument after she wanted me to come to visit my father at St. Mungo's after he was attacked by some snake that escaped from the London Zoo then go stay at 12 Grimmuald Place with Potter." Percy grumbled.

"So, it's Christmas Percy and that's your family. Don't you care about your father?"

"I do but they suck up to Potter who has become an attention seeker and a liar which completely embarrass us in the wizarding community." Percy sneered

"Percy that's family no matter who they support you supposed to love them. If my son would act like the way you did, he would have to answer to his mother who is my wife." Lucius buttering up Percy.

"I guess I should apologize to her for my behavior, anyway, do have the Cornelius's fee." Percy said

"Yes, I do" Lucius said as he pulls out the bag of Galleons and gives it to Percy then he gives the Junior assistant a small bag of Galleons and says, "Here this is for you to buy something for your mother Molly that poor woman had to raising you your other five brothers and your little sister Ginny, right? While your father has the lowest paying job in the Ministry."

"Yeah whatever. The next payment would be at another place around I don't know where it is but Fudge will tell me soon" Percy told him.

"Okay then goodnight Percy." Lucius said as he gets up

"You as well" Percy said getting up.

As Lucius and Percy went their separate ways, Chuya who was listening on the whole conversation and took some pictures as well. Smiled evilly and mutters "Oh Fudge you better not fudge up the Sirius trial in anyway to your pathetic image because if you do nothing will stop me from exposing you as the corrupt and inept politician that you are ."

Chuya apperates out of the Savoy Hotel
