Chapter 7
Harry walked sluggishly to the library; he was not feeling himself today after his first occlumency lesson last night. The lessons really took its toll on him with his legs feeling like cement and his lightning bolt shaped scar was throbbing.
Snape bombarded Harry's mind with Legilimency- the art of invading minds and Harry was supposed to block these attacks with using his mind. Every time Harry was forced to relive all the memories of his life most of them were painful since he lived with the Dursleys and witnessed Cedric Diggory's death others were joyful, he wished to keep private. At least he had a few answers to questions why Voldemort was obsessed of finding something that connects him and Harry in the Department of Mysteries.
Harry's progress with repelling mental attacks left Snape very displeased. Harry begins to ask the potions master about the Department of Mysteries and its importance, but Snape ignores his questions leaving Harry frustrated.
As Harry tries to find a seat in the library, he spots Cho siting by herself studying and listening to some music on her Walkman. This was odd usually he sees Cho with a large group of friends or with her so-called best friend Marietta however she is alone this time and without hesitation he sits down next to her and greets her "Hey Cho"
Cho looks at Harry and she takes off her headphones as well as turning off her Walkman and greets back "Hey Harry how are you?"
"I'm good. What were you listening to?" Harry asked
"I was listening to Dreaming of you by Selena"
"Selena? You mean that Latin American pop singer who was killed by her so-called best friend and biggest fan who didn't give anything to people who subscribed to Selena's Fanclub as well as stealing money from her idol's Boutiques in both San-Antonio and Corpus Christi of Texas last year." Said Harry
"Yep, Yolonda Saldivar did that to Selena and I would be devasted if one of my friends stole money from me like that as well." Said Cho
"Yeah, me too speaking of 'friends', where is your friend Marietta?" Harry asked, "I thought you two would never leave each other's sight?"
Cho giggles "I don't need her to be around me."
Harry smiled knowing this a perfect opportunity to get to know Cho for who she is without her friends or Marietta being here.
"Harry, I want to apologize about Mary's behavior towards you and your friends on the Hogwarts Express I wished I didn't go with her and-"
"It's okay I've delt with Malfoy and his ilk insults before and your friend's insults don't affect me" Harry interrupted
"Yeah, Malfoy is always jealous of you and always resort to insulting you." Cho said
"So do you still want to get to know each other." Harry asked
"Sure why not" Cho replied
For about an hour Harry and Cho got to know one another. They asked each other questions from simple to personal like what each other's favorite color and their favorite subjects was or how did Harry find out he was a wizard as well as the time he, Ron, and Hermione formed the golden trio. Harry felt his mind was at ease when talking to Cho he thought that she would only talk to him because he was the Boy-Who-lived but he was wrong she wanted to know Harry for him and not for the title he holds. While getting to know each other Cho told him about the dream she had on the Christmas Holiday, where she was talking to Cedric on what happened to him on that day. Harry said that dreams tend to be weird, they laughed about it however he was glad that the fallen Triwizard Tournament Champion doesn't blame for his untimely death.
As Harry and Cho were talking Ginny walks into the library and sees the raven-haired teens talking to each other. Normally she would walk away because she is jealous of Cho, but Harry and Cho are not dating also she and Harry have no romantic feelings towards each other. What's the point of being jealous of the Asian Ravenclaw? She walks to the table and greets them with "Hey Harry hey Cho."
"Hey Ginny" Harry and Cho said in unison
"What you two were doing?" Ginny asked
"Oh, we were getting to know each other." Harry replied
"Okay what is her favorite color?"
"Purple."
"Her favorite food?"
"Pizza but she hates olives, pineapple, or ham on it she also likes to eat Char Siu Pork Buns"
"Alright. What languages does she know besides English and Chinese."
"I know Korean because I'm half Korean and I know French because I went to the Paris airshow in 1989 at the Le Bourget international Airport" Cho told Ginny
"Yeah, that's right you told me that you and your family went over there and saw Fighter Pilots from around the world doing a lot of Aerial Acrobatic stunts." Harry said
"Yep I wanted to join the Royal Air Force to become a fighter pilot like Harry before I found out that I was a witch. I'm also learning Spanish from listening to Selena lately." Cho told Ginny
"Who's Selena?" Ginny asked
"She was a Latin American pop singer who was shot and killed by her so-called best friend and biggest fan Yolanda Saldivar who ran the Selena fan club and was the manager of Selena's two Boutiques in the state of Texas, but she stole money form the stores and never gave anything to the fans that subscribed to fan club last year and it was three months before Cedric's death." Cho explained she then hands Ginny her Walkman and says, "Here do you want to listen to Selena."
"Sure, why not." Ginny said as she puts on the headphones and listens to the slain Tejano singer's song "Wow she has such a beautiful voice"
"Yeah, Selena is a beautiful person inside and out I remember listening to that song for the first time when I was depressed about Cedric's death."
"Damn, I thought that your boyfriend's death last year was bad but this Singer's death for the Muggles that live in America must have been just as bad." Ginny said
"Yeah, last year was terrible for everyone Ginny anyway, Since I got to know Harry, I would like to get to know his friends starting with you if that's okay with you." Cho told her
"I'm okay with that Cho from what Michael, Luna and lover boy over here told me about you is that you're a genuinely nice person unlike your group of friends who are a bunch of snooty arse bitches." Ginny told her then asks, "What do you want to know about me?"
"What's your favorite color?" Cho asked
"Green" Ginny answered
"What's your favorite food?"
"My mum's cooking especially her Pancakes they're so fluffy and plump and thank Merlin I have a good metabolism."
"I have a strong metabolism as well." Cho said then she asks another question, "What's your favorite Quidditch Team?"
"My favorite Quidditch Team is The Holyhead Harpies and I want to join them one day ever since I learned how to fly by stealing one my brother's broom when I was five years old" Ginny said.
"Wow impressive" Cho praised, "Did you caught?" she asks
"Yeah, my mum and my brothers caught me, but my first brother Bill and second brother Charlie came to my defense and instructed me further on how to fly as well allowing me to play with them." Ginny told Cho
"That's really nice of Bill and Charlie to defend you and teaching you how to fly."
"Yep, both Bill and Charlie taught me how to fly every Summer Holiday before Bill went to Gringotts to be a Curse Breaker and Charlie went to Romania to study Dragons. I know your favorite Quidditch team is the Tutshill Tornadoes, right?"
"That's right I would like to play for the Tutshill Tornadoes someday as well but that is not my only option in life I would like to work for the Department of International Magical Cooperation" Cho told Ginny
"You are boarding your horizons I like that Cho; I could see you working in that department." Ginny said
"Yeah, me too I could see you being the Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederacy of Wizards someday" Harry chimed in
"Aww thanks guys." Cho said she looks at the time on her watch, gets up and gets her things then says "Oh, I got to go to Quidditch Practice it was nice to talking to you Harry, Ginny"
"It was nice to talk to you too Cho." Harry and Ginny said in unison
"When is the DA meeting Harry?" Cho asked
"It's at 8:30 tomorrow night check your galleon." Harry replied
"Okay I'll be there and see you guys later" Cho said as she leaves the library
As Cho leaves the library Harry stares at Cho's nicely rounded bottom that was swaying side to side which gave Harry a knot in his pants. Ginny smacks him upside the head.
"OWW! What was that for!" Harry yelped
"Get your mind out of the gutter Potter you know she doesn't want you right now." Ginny snapped.
"I know it's just-"
"Mister Potter Miss Weasley tone it down" Madam Pince interrupted Harry.
"Okay I'm sorry Madam Pince" Harry apologized
Harry and Ginny talked for a few minutes until she had go to class. Ron and Hermione came into the library and greeted Harry in unison "Hey Harry"
"Hey guys" Harry greeted back
"How was studying alone going for you so far?" Hermione asked
"It's alright" Harry responded then his cheeks start to blush red "I saw Cho today and we got to know each other."
"Oh okay so what do know about Cho?" she asked
"Well, her birthday is on April 16, her favorite color is purple, she knows Martial Arts like Wing Chun, Taekwondo, Judo, Eagle Claw style Kung Fu and Boxing." Harry replied, "She also knows some languages like Chinese, Korean, French and Spanish."
"She could speak French?" Ron asked
"Of course, I remember seeing Cho talking to Fleur Delacour last year at the Yule Ball Ron while you and Harry were pouting that on the fact that you two were rejected by Cho and I."
"Right Hermione we did that, I apologized to the Patil twins for our behavior for ruining the night for them."
"Yeah, I know you did Harry" Hermione said
"Does she have any brothers or sisters Mate?" Ron asked
"No but she has a cousin named Alex, he lives in America and goes to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" he answered
"You mean that wizarding school in America that is just like us." Hermione said.
"Yeah, he goes there due to his mother Cho's aunt moving to America after Cho's uncle was killed by Bellatrix Lestrange." Harry said
"Okay, she has any grandparents?"
"Yes, but her father's parents died in the Korean War when he was young, and her mother's parents died of dragon pox."
"Oh I'm sorry" Hemione said "Is there anything else?"
"Cho told me that she goes to a firing range in Reno, Nevada every Summer Holiday and one time she fired a 50. Cal Machine Gun called the Ma Duce at targets that had some explosive powder attached to them, she hit them one by one in less than one minute." Harry said.
"Bloody hell Mate you seriously got one hell of a taste in women." Ron gasped
"I'll say Harry she's a card-carrying member of the NRA." Hermione said
"NRA? the bloody hell is that?"
"It's the National Rifle Association Ron it's where people in America who love to shoot guns." Hermione told Ron.
"Bloody yanks and their guns." Ron said, "You better treat Cho right mate, or she would use you as target practice with one of those peacekeepers she has stashed in her bag."
"Yeah sure mum I'll do just that" Harry said sarcastically
"Hey what's that supposed to mean Ron snapped
"Oh boys" Hermione giggled
Harry, Ron, and Hermione stayed in the library discussing about the D.A lesson which is happening tomorrow night until dinner. After dinner was over Harry went straight to the 5th year Boys dormitory and on to his bed.
(In Harry's Dream)
Harry was in a church wearing a tuxedo standing at the altar with the pastor standing in the middle with him. Standing on his right side was Ron who was also wearing a tuxedo as his Best Man along with Neville, Seamus, and Dean as his groomsmen they too are formally dressed. On the Left side was Hermione as the Maid of Honor she was wearing a purple dress as well as Ginny, Padma, and Luna who were the bridesmaids. There were a bunch other guests who were sitting down like Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Arthur, Hagrid, Molly, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Fred, George, Bill, Charlie, Percy, the rest of the D.A and even Snape. The music starts to play as the bride with shiny silky waist length jet-black hair wearing a white dress and a bouquet of flowers in her hands. She walks down the aisle with an elderly Asian man in a tuxedo who is her father. The bride stands with the bridesmaids as her father takes his seat next to his wife who is the bride's mother. Harry unveils the bride's veil and is horrified to see the bride's face being none other than Lord Voldemort and a sadistic look on his face. He opened his crevice of a mouth with, "Oh, Harry look we're getting married."
(Not in Harry's dream)
"AHHHHH!" Harry screamed at the top of his lungs.
Ron wakes up, turns on the light rushes to Harry's bed and asks, "Harry mate what's wrong with you."
Harry gets his glasses and responds, "It's nothing Ron."
"A bad dream huh?"
"Yeah, Ron it was I saw Snape and Voldemort in bikinis singing and dancing to hey macarena." Harry replied
"Bloody hell mate that is a nightmare I don't want to have." Ron gasped
"Me neither let's get back to bed" Harry said
"Right goodnight Harry" Ron said
"You too Ron"
Harry and Ron went back to sleep as Harry tries to find a better dream than he a moment ago.
