One morning, Susan Bones boarded the bus to school. Soon after taking her seat, she gave off a sigh, earning a look from her friend, Hannah.
"Is there something wrong, Suzy?" she asked her.
Susan shook her head. "Not really. But I've been thinking a lot about something lately."
"What's that?" Hannah asked.
"Well," Susan said. "Lately, I've noticed that Harry has become very reserved and antisocial. I think there might be something wrong with him. I want to be able to help him somehow if there is, but I don't know how I should go about it, since we've never really talked much."
Hannah nodded in understanding. She had suspected that Susan wanted to get more involved with Harry for a while now, but she was too polite to just insert herself where she may not be welcomed. And she respected her for that. This time though, her advice was a little different.
"I think you should just go for it," Hannah said to Susan. "You're such a kind and caring person, and I think he'd actually appreciate having someone like you to talk to if something is bugging him."
Hannah then scooted slightly closer to something.
"And if I'm not mistaken, I think that you want to get closer to him, if you know what I mean by that," she said with a sly smirk.
Susan's pretty face went red.
