WHAT IF DEKU WAS THE SON OF MIRKO?

Chapter 0

"Shit! That dam bastard Hisashi! I knew I couldn't trust him!" A beautiful white-haired woman with ruby red eyes and slightly darkened skin ranted in anger as she walked through the park. A lot was on her mind and she needed to blow off some steam. Maybe if I go beat some villains up, I'll feel better? She thought. As she kept walking, she heard a scream from nearby. "Hah! What perfect timing! I'm really itching for a fight!" She leaped into the air leaving some cracks in the sidewalk from the spot she was just at.

Meanwhile… a villain with a typical thug look and style with a mask covering his face was running on the sidewalk away from a screaming woman with a purse in his hand which he just stole. I need to get out of here before any heroes arrive! he thought. "Dam that woman! Why did she have to make this more difficult and scream so loudly! Maybe if I would have killed her… no! I can't have that shit on my record. I just need the money!" As he was talking to himself, he began to near an alleyway. Well, if I can just slip through here all will be... his thoughts were interrupted as he heard a female voice from above him yell "Lunar Fall!" … shit.

Just as a foot came hurling at his head he jumped out of the way at the last second and barely dodged the oncoming attack making him stagger to try and gain his balance again. Upon impact, the sidewalk shattered and pieces of cement shot outward away from the rabbit woman's feet. She was wearing a plain-looking white outfit with a crescent moon on the front of her shirt, her outfit had no sleeves showing her well-built arms as if to display all of her hard work. She had a white fluffy collar on her shirt, she wore white gloves that looked a bit too big for her hands and she had purple stockings that went up just right above her knees showing her muscled thighs and on her feet were what seemed like metal-plated shoes in the shape of rabbit feet.

"OH? You must have good reflexes to dodge that. Is this your quirk or have you trained your instincts?" The white rabbit lady asked staring down the thug with a wicked grin as if she were staring down some prey in excitement. "What the hell!? You could've killed me! And why the hell would I tell you?! You bunny bitch!" The thug shouted at his attacker who seemed to have a slight reaction to the last remark noticeable by the slight ear twitch from her elongated ears. "Bunny?" Her smile slightly dimmed but still kept up, though despite this she was now emitting an even more dangerous aura. "I'm a rabbit! And I would advise you not to piss me off right now small fry!" She stated as she lowered her upper body into a halfway runner stance. The thug felt shivers down his spine and instinctively pulled out a knife he had hidden in his black leather jacket. "D-Don't come any c-closer!" He shouted in fear and panic etched in his voice. His eyes darting around to find a way out of this but his senses were still focused on the woman that stood before him. Immediately the woman burst off the ground carrying the wind with her making it whistle in tune as she jumped around the thug looking for an opening and once she found it, she Immediately sprang forward and did a somersault landing her right foot onto the back of the thug's head and smashing his face into the concrete splintering it as his body went limp and the knife dropped from his hand.

After she had landed the kick, she felt a little tired" Huh? That's strange… I know I shouldn't be this tired after dealing with just a lowlife thug. I also feel… a bit queasy." She decided to ignore the feeling and fling the limp body of the now unconscious thug around her right shoulder. She made sure to also pick up the knife and purse to turn them into the police station. Since no one was around here she couldn't confirm who the purse belonged to and decided to let the police deal with it.

After she talked to the police and left them with the criminal and the items, she walked to the hotel room she was currently staying at. The tired feeling and queasiness was getting worse but she still didn't let it show. Even though she just recently became a hero she was already gaining popularity and since she had nothing else to do but hero work, she had dedicated pretty much all of her time to it but this was the shortest patrol she ever had. I can't be sick, can I? There's no way. I never get sick she told herself in her head. Ugh, I don't want to go to the doctor because it's like asking for help but if this impedes my hero work then I have to. Dammit! Was it that guy's quirk or something?

After she reached her hotel room, she ate a bit and started to drift asleep. Well... if it gets worse in the morning then I guess I'll have to check it out she stated in her mind as she drifted asleep. The moment she woke up in the morning she felt a headache coming on and her nausea had gotten to her as she Immediately ran to the bathroom and threw up her dinner last night. "What! What the hell!?" she yelled in frustration while wiping her mouth with a towel. "Yeah, okay I guess I have to." She grunted not wanting to do what she needed to do. She hesitated on reaching for the phone but decided that not telling anyone would just make it worse and she wanted to be better as soon as possible to kick some more ass.

After scheduling an appointment with the doctor, she drove up to the hospital and walked in. Of course, she had civilian clothes on which was a white tank top with blue jeans that were rolled up to the middle of her shins as well as white athletic shoes. She walked up to the main desk where she gave her name and got pointed in the direction of which room she needed to head to. Once she entered the room, she sat on the hospital bed and she crossed her arms and began impatiently tapping her right foot waiting for the doctor to enter.

A Doctor entered he was plain-looking but also, he had the air of an experienced doctor. "Hello, Ms. Usagiyama it's nice to meet you." He said with a generous voice and extended his hand for her to take. She hesitated but only for a second until she decided to grasp it firmly and shake it back. "Now down to business. I've heard you haven't been feeling well. How long has this been going on?" The doctor asked as he pulled out a clipboard with papers attached to it in one hand while he clicked a pen in the other as he slowly guided it to the paper and waited for her response. "Almost a week… but it's been much more noticeable recently…" She responded not wanting to look the doctor in the eyes because she felt as if she were exposing her weakness and she did not want to feel weak.

The doctor nodded before scribbling something down in his notes. He then asked another question. "What are your symptoms?" he inquired "I've been feeling more tired lately, I feel nauseous sometimes, I have a headache going on and off, my temperature has been higher than normal for a while and I've had a few weird eating habits lately." She said still looking away from the doctor. "I see..." the doctor said before writing down a bit more and then clicking the pen and placing back into his shirt pocket while setting down the clipboard. "Well first let's do a normal checkup and then we'll see what tests we need to run from there." He said before he made sure all of the equipment from the room was ready and then she went through a bunch of typical tests until moving on to some more advanced tests to try and find out about her symptoms.

Rumi Usagiyama was thumping her right foot impatiently. She hated this she was so bored and annoyed that the doctor was taking so long. She wanted this to be over already so he could prescribe some sort of medicine and then she could go home. Then her tapping stopped as her rabbit ears picked up footsteps in the hall heading for her room's direction. The doctor opened the door and she Immediately noticed the slight cheerful mood he was in. This irritated her. What the hell? Why is he so happy? Did he just joke around with his doctor buddies or some stupid shit and that's why this dumb medical exam was taking so long?! She thought as a small tick appeared on her head. The doctor took a seat in front of her with a clipboard and papers in his hands again.

"Well, miss Usagiyama we have found out what is causing these symptoms…" The doctor said while still looking at his papers. "Good, now can I have whatever you prescribe me and leave already?" Rumi replied in a scoff. "…I'm afraid it's not that simple." said the doctor with a slight hint of amusement on his face. This angered Rumi. This bastard what the hell does he find so funny?! She thought as her anger grew a bit more. "Well, then what the hell is it!? I'm strong enough to take whatever it is. So, spit it out!" She said with clear anger in her tone. "Ok, Ms. Usagiyama. You're pregnant." The doctor replied still holding a hint of amusement on his face. Rumi froze in place her anger was overcome with shock and it showed clear as day on her face. P..pregnant?! W-what!? There's no way. She looked down towards her belly. Could... I really be... No! Her face then was instantly replaced by anger again but this time it boiled over as she got up from the bed and grabbed the doctor by his collar as she lifted him up with one arm as she wound the other one for a punch "What kind of fucking joke is this!? What kind of doctor are you?!" She shouted in anger as the doctor's amused expression faded into a bit of fear. Rumi liked that expression better than the smug look he had earlier it suited him better. "P-please settle down Ms. Usagiyama. I promise you that it's no joke." He stated "Huh?!" She said winding her fist back a little more. "Aaah! Wait wait wait! See look at the results." He said as he shakenly puts out his arm with the clipboard and papers in it. She swipes it away from him with her hand that was curled into a fist and as she began to read her anger was once more replaced with shock as she let go of the doctor and his butt hit the floor with a thud. The test read… Pregnancy positive.

After leaving the hospital Rumi was still filled with shock and disbelief. She didn't have time to become a mother and she wasn't suited to being a mother or at least that's what she thought of herself. But she also couldn't bring herself to just abort it she felt as if she did that, she would stop a life and as a hero, her job was to save lives not end them before they even started. She couldn't put it in the orphanage either after all, she was raised in an orphanage and she was all alone. She did not want the baby to feel that way or resent her for making such a decision. She had to keep it and raise it to the best of her ability but if she wanted to do that she couldn't do as much hero work in the future. Luckily while she's pregnant she would basically get paid leave and the government would assure protection of her child since she is a hero and the next generation is very important to preserve. Even though it would be boring living a normal life for a while maybe she could try and prepare? She would definitely need to tell this to her friend Ryukyu maybe she would have some advice on what to do. She always has a soft spot for children so she would obviously want to help me. Maybe she could look after her child sometimes? I also travel a lot since I've been traveling around Japan to do my hero work so I would need to probably stay somewhere to give the baby a safe environment and an education. Ugh, this is making my head hurt worse.

When she got back to her hotel, she Immediately called Ryukyu to tell her the news. Of course, she was ecstatic like Rumi expected and she was willing to help her with anything she needed. Rumi asked her if she had any advice on where she could stay that would be good for the baby. After a little bit of searching, Ryukyu had made a suggestion about moving to a town that's quieter and has a safer environment where heroes would be there to protect its citizens, plenty of schools were available and it's nearby. "What's it called?" Rumi questioned "Musutafu." Replied Ryukyu.

It has been almost 9 months since then, she had moved into a small apartment just to keep things simple since Rumi didn't really like staying in a large place and she didn't want to buy a house because once she returned to her hero work she would like to roam freely still. Although Rumi was a bit bored, she would make sure to work out to keep herself in shape for when she goes back to doing hero work after all nothing would stop her from being a hero no matter what life threw at her. Her friend Ryukyu came to visit a few times and kept reassuring her that she would get back to doing hero work soon but advised her to resist her urges to fight someone. "Ugh, when is this baby goanna come out. My body has been ruined by this little twerp, making me look fat. I wish I could at least spar someone." Rumi complained to herself when suddenly she felt something weird and then... her water broke. She was immediately rushed to the hospital with the help of Ryukyu. She was grunting in pain; she was very resistant to pain due to her harsh training but this kind of pain was different and she hated it. She wanted to get it over with already.

As she was put into the emergency rooms, she could hear the doctors and nurses yelling but she didn't catch anything of what they were saying because she was too focused on what was happening to her. But then she picked something up from one of the doctors as she began to slightly listen in to what they were saying "The baby is coming right now!" one doctor yelled which was followed by him getting in position to help pull the baby out. Rumi was irritated that she had to do this. She thought of giving birth to the baby at her home so no one would see her like this but Ryukyu scolded her and told her that it would be better if she were to do it at the hospital so that the doctors could make sure the baby was healthy and so she swallowed her pride for the sake of her child and her friend.

She felt even more intense pain and she groaned again. The doctors told her to push and she did but they kept repeating it again and again irritating her. "I am pushing already!" She shouted at them. She was rethinking taking Ryukyus's advice but it was already too late for that. After a while of pain and yelling, she suddenly felt some relief and tiny cries caught her attention as she flicked her ears in the direction of the cries. She felt a bit tired but not enough for her to pass out or anything she was Mirko the rabbit hero after all. After the doctors had cleaned the baby, one of the doctors walked over to Rumi with a blanket that had something wrapped inside. The doctor gently handed the delicate package to Rumi who took it with curiosity gleaming in her eyes.

She wondered what her baby looked like and whether it was a boy or a girl. No one had told her yet or she just didn't hear them say it because she wasn't really paying any attention to them. No, her full focus was on the bundle that was just put into her arms. She slowly moved the blanket out of the baby's face to reveal two rabbit ears and red eyes just like hers. The baby stopped crying for the moment as it looked up to Rumi who both starred at each other with curiosity. The baby had dark skin though not quite as dark as hers, it had a white bunny tail and a… it's a boy. She was moved by the baby's adorable appearance and just as if instincts had taken over, she gently pressed the baby against herself and began to cradle him. I think I'll name you… Izuku said Rumi with a smile that was mixed with pride and joy which was strange to see since her normal smile always consisted of blood lust and fierceness in it.

This little bundle has my quirk! She thought as she gently brushed her finger over the baby's left ear. The baby's ear twitched in response to the sudden contact but there wasn't any other resistance. Ha, I'm sure he'll be one hell of a fighter when he grows up just like me, she thought in her head. But I won't leave you all alone like I was, I don't want you to feel that little one she said in her mind as she slowly moved her finger to the bottom of his ear and began gently scratching it. The baby kooed happily in response to this and this made Rumi's heart flutter a bit because of how adorable he looked but her mood changed when she realized the doctors and nurses were still there aw-ing at them.

"Hey! What are you all looking at!" She bristled. She messed up. She let all of these people see her weak side. "Oh, give it a break Rumi." said a woman who had just entered the room. It was Ryukyu. "Ryuko!" Rumi happily shouted which startled the baby with its sensitive ears and then he proceeded to cry again. "Oh. Whoops!" Rumi said as she began to scratch the back of the baby's other ear which made him calm down a bit. Ryukyu had made it over to Rumi and looked down at the baby whom had a striking resemblance to Rumi. "Oh, he's so adorable Rumi." Ryukyu said trying not to raise her voice so she wouldn't startle the baby. "Hah, he's only adorable now. He's gonna be fierce in the future." Rumi retorted. "With you as his mother, I wouldn't doubt it." Ryukyu stated as she took the baby from Rumi's arms. "What's that supposed to mean?" Rumi scoffed. "You of all people should know exactly what I mean" Ryukyu said as she let the tiny hands grab onto her index finger. "Hmph." Rumi said as she got up from the hospital bed not giving Ryukyu the satisfaction of continuing their argument. "Wait Ms. Usagiyama. You just gave birth. I wouldn't recommend standing up right away." One of the doctors pleaded.

"I'm perfectly fine. If anything, I'm a bit relieved" said Rumi as she began to stretch. The doctors were shocked about how casual she was and how much energy she still had left right after giving birth. After a while of letting Ryukyu coddle the baby a nurse reached her arms out to take hold of the baby but was met with an intense glare and a tight grip on her arm that stopped her. The nurse turned in fear and shock towards the direction of the strong hand that had just gripped her and stared into the intense eyes of a protective mother. "Eep!" The nurse let out a terrified squeal from receiving such a glare. "What are you doing?" asked Rumi with an intense voice that matched her glare. "I-I-I was just going to take the baby and see i-if he's healthy." She responded in a shaky tone while still trembling.

Ryukyu sighed "Rumi they have to make sure he's alright before you can just take him." "Ugh fine. But I want to be around him while you do it, understood?" Rumi said in an intimidating tone addressed to not just the nurse but all of the medical professionals in the room which made them all start to tremble as they all nodded in unison. Ryukyu laughed she's never seen Rumi like this. It was like Rumi had just awakened her motherly instincts the moment she laid eyes on her child. It was also a good thing she decided to come to the hospital with Rumi or it could've been a blood bath. Plus, she wouldn't have wanted to miss the birth of her new nephew. She was going to spoil him to death.

It had been six months since then and little Izuku was learning quite fast for his age although he was still a baby and had little intelligence he seemed to take in everything around him being a very curious little rabbit although at times it seemed that he may be developing his mother's stubbornness. When he didn't want something it would mean she would have to force him to take it because once he had his mindset into pushing away something he wouldn't take it no matter what. He would also hop out of his crib and sometimes around the house, since he was born with his quirk and had managed to be able to hop before he even started to walk, since it was easier for him to get a hold of do to his strong legs and being stuck in a crawling position, hopping around on all fours wasn't a problem for him which irritated Rumi to no end since he would constantly break stuff around the apartment and she would have to chase after him.

"Ok you little twerp, let's go for a stroll out since mama needs some fresh air and this time don't go hopping out the moment I release you alright!?" Rumi said with a stern voice as she buckled the Six-month-old Izuku into the stroller. The toddler only made incoherent noises in response as any toddler would at his age. "That better have been a yes." Rumi's eye twitched slightly as she began to exit the apartment. She wore her usual white long-sleeved shirt that went up to the middle of her forearms with matching white pants that were rolled up to the middle of her shins that was held up by a black belt around her waist that had the shape of a crescent moon on her belt buckle and on her feet were a pair of white boots that were only just above her ankles. Little Izuku had plain clothes that took up his whole form except for his head and hands that poked out of the holes.

While Rumi was walking to the park taking in the scenery around her since she didn't get out as much anymore she quickly stopped before almost bumping the stroller into someone. "Oh, sorry. Didn't see yah there." Rumi replied as she scanned over the woman in front of her. "Oh, it's fine. I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings either after this little brat had thrown his pacifier at me." She said with a smile. She had blonde spikey hair, ruby-red eyes almost identical to Mirkos, and pale white skin. She wore a plain white shirt with a light purple unzipped jacket over it, she wore jeans that fit her slender figure and wore a pair of normal-looking brown shoes. Rumi also noticed that the woman had a stroller of her own and was probably in the same boat as her.

"Wait didn't you move into that apartment nearby? I think I've seen you there before." The blonde woman asked and proceeded to put her finger to her chin and look up in a thinking pose. "Yes, I have. Although I moved in 6 months ago I really haven't met anyone in the neighborhood." Rumi said before pondering a question of her own. "By the way, what's your name?" The blonde woman had stopped her thinking pose and immediately answered with a slight smile. "Oh sorry, my name is Bakugo Mitsuki but you can just go ahead and called me Mitsuki." She said still holding her smile "My name Is Usagiyama Rumi but you can call me Rumi if you want." Rumi said as she relaxed her arms to slightly lean on the stroller and rose a smile from her face back to Mitsuki. "W-wait do you mean th-the Rumi Usagiyama!? The one that rose through the hero ranks faster than basically any other hero before her but then suddenly disappeared from hero work?!" She asked in shock.

Rumi couldn't help but laugh at the woman's reaction "Yep that's me She said with a wider smile. I was planning on breaking the top ten real soon but then this little guy had to make his surprise entrance into my life." Rumi said with an even wider smile as she pointed her index finger at the little 6-month-old in her stroller. "Oh my! I can't believe a pro hero is living next door and not just any hero. One of the rising stars that I've seen on the news countless of times!" Mitsuki said in an excited tone "Oh and what's this little guy's name?" Mitsuki asked as she got closer to the stroller to inspect the little 6-month-old. "Ah, this little twerp? His name is Izuku and he's six months old but don't let his age fool yuh he's quite a handful since he's already capable of jumping seven feet into the air." Mirko said in a mixture of pride and annoyance. "Wow! I see he's really taken after you!" Mitsuki giggles after she overcame her shock from learning that a 6-month-old could jump so high even with a quirk. "Oh and here's my little brat." Mitsuki said as she turned her stroller around to let Rumi see a boy that was the spitting image of his mother except smaller and with an angry expression. Rumi looked at the small child for a second before Mitsuki continued "He's also a handful and unfortunately he's taken more to my personality than his father's, so he'll have tantrums all the time. Tch." She said while looking down at her son with an annoyed glare but then her expression softened after a second. "But I still love him and I know that greatness awaits him in the future in no matter what he does." Mitsuki says while her expression completely did a one-eighty to a soft and caring smile as she patted her son's head gently which only lead to what sounded like a grunt from the small blonde child.

"Well, Mitsuki I hope we can get along as neighbors and maybe become friends." Rumi said as she smiled and extended her hand towards Mitsuki. "Yeah, I hope we will Rumi." Mitsuki says back with another smile as she grips Rumi's hand and they both shake. "Well, I hope our brats will get along well in the future too." "Hah, yeah maybe we can schedule play dates sometimes. It'll be great to have someone to talk to that also has a troublesome little twerp." Rumi replied as the two began to stroll around the park with their kids.
