Glassy Sky
It was Autumn.
Izuku Midoriya was walking out of the dorms, heading towards the school. He glanced up at the sky, his hair being swept somberly by the wind. "It looks like a thunderstorm..."
It was the weekend so the school was somewhat empty as he walked down the halls. He had his notebook in one hand as he pushed open the door to the school library with his other, entering it. It wasn't a big room, actually more or less cozy, with a couch on one wall, the shelves lined up at another, a table in the middle, and the check-in/check-out counter on the remaining wall.
It was empty like usual but still, it felt like home to him.
"An inquiry for a new novel, Izuku?" A voice seemingly asked him over the shoulder.
"Hiee!" Izuku jumped in fear from the sudden presence next to him. It was Reiko Yanagi, the haunting beauty and also the library's student assistant.
Izuku had his hand over his heart, trying to calm down its beating with deep breaths, "Geez Reiko, you nearly gave me a heart attack, b-but yeah, I wanted to look around for anything good."
Reiko and Izuku had become friends throughout their days attending UA both having a shared affinity for books. At first, he would come here usually to write in his notebook while he read about heroes but after he and Reiko started to become acquainted with each other, she would sit with him and read when it wasn't busy, which was usually, and over time they became close friends, especially considering how similar their talking mannerisms could be.
"Thunder approaches." Reiko hummed out as she followed Izuku like a ghost as he rummaged through the shelves.
"Hm? Oh yeah, the clouds looked pretty bad as I was walking here-" Just as he said that thunder boomed, rattling over the ceiling. "I guess they're worst than I thought." He added with a nervous chuckle. 'It's even worse because UA is on a hill!'
"Indeed..."
Izuku continued to look at books, eventually pulling one off the shelf and reading the title, resonating with the title, "Quirkless isn't hopeless,"
"Oh, that tale is of profound sentiment which in which the two main characters have to deal with the question of their morals outside of hero ideology."
"Thanks for the summary, I'll probably check this one out..." He mumbled.
"Or if it appeals to your interest, we can read it in unison, the spiritual sequel is coming out soon, and would brace myself for the angst by preparing for it."
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea-"
He was interrupted by a thunderous boom, louder than any before. A few moments later the power went off.
"Hiee!" He cried out from shock, but it wasn't from the power outage, it was that Reiko had a flashlight pointing up at her face, giving her a creepy look.
Due to the security system, Izuku and Reiko were locked in the library and with the ongoing storm, it looked like they were going to be stuck throughout the night.
Although, despite their situation, Izuku and Reiko weren't bothered, they were basically trapped in one of their favorite rooms and Reiko had some candles, stating that it wasn't the first time she was in this situation, and placed them around the room with her quirk, liting each one with a floating, already lit candle.
They were on the couch and were reading the book together, sharing a candle to read the words, reading along together. Neither of them were aware of how intimately close they were being, indulging themselves to the book.
It started with her resting her head on his shoulder, he noticed it but pretended he didn't. Eventually they curled up together on the corner of the couch, despite being aware of the situation, he was too embarrassed and excited to say anything, all the while Reiko was her transparent self. He would try to focus on the book by reading a sentence, whispering it to himself. The scene in the book was getting steamy and Reiko was reading it along with him. Her thoughts were becoming parallel to his. Her hand was over the corner of the page and he was holding the candle, but they didn't turn the page. Their breathing was heaving, both with anticipation. Reiko steadily began to turn her head, lifting it up, facing him. Their eyes locked with matching anxiety, knowing exactly what they wanted.
"I-zu-ku..?" Panting it out for him.
He captured the spur of the moment and went for it, tackling his lips into her, the book dropped from her hands as he continued to hold the candle, even as the wax began to melt away, threatening to fall on them, until Reiko used her quirk to pull it away from him, letting it float above them. The book had flopped to the floor with an unnoticed thud. She readjusted herself slowly climbing on top of him, straddling him, as he laid back down on the couch, his head leaning on the armrest. Her fingers skimmed up his chest and neck up to his face, clutching his cheekbones, pulling his lips closer. Their lips parted as she exhaled a breath before she sucked on his bottom lip and let go, continuing to play with his mouth.
"Are we really doing this?" He breathed out.
She moaned back with a nod against his lips. Her delicate body was pounced over his, her bosom was pressed against his chest.
'What was the book about again?' His thoughts were getting blurry as he could only focus on the haunting maiden above him.
Their lips continued to reunite. Her lips were so tender and hot, yet her cold body was the opposite, and he had to let out an exhaling shiver at the contact but she groaned against him. His hand crept under her shirt, tracing up and down her body feeling her hourglass body. Losing themselves to time. She bit his bottom lip as she became more passionate as they continued. Their breaths inhaling each other.
They shared an unspoken glance of decision.
Their mouths hungered again. He clutched her hair, locks slipping out of his hand. She moaned to the rough rhythm. She grinded her tiny waist against his hips, with the bounce of a bunny.
'I never knew how perky Reiko really is!'
Her fingers lingered to his chest for support. He heard a whimpered sigh. Her face shyly away. He could only see her bashful cheek and the locks of hair used to hide her eye. His hand found her hidden cheek, turning her face fully to him, before he left a sloppy smooch against her lips. Her hands roamed down his torso as his hands clutched her waist.
They tried to readjust themselves but weren't aware of the lack of space and slipped off the couch, tumbling onto the carpet floor. She gasped in shock as he let out a small cry.
A rude thud in the library.
"Are you ok, Reiko?" Deku asked. He was on top of her, but his arms and hands were pinned under her head and waist, protecting her from the fall.
She stared into his eyes, before breaking into a fit of giggles. "I'm fine Izuku! Don't make such sad puppy dog eyes! They're too adorable!"
'Huh? Has Reiko always been this playful?' He felt himself grin. She was trying to muffle her laughter with her hand, facing to the side.
She's was full of life, contradicting the ghost he was used to and he couldn't help from kissing her cheek on pure emotion.
Her giggling slowed down to a loving sigh.
And he couldn't tell how long they were on the carpet floor, only embracing.
After the storm let up and power returned, Izuku and Reiko were putting their clothes back on and as they were Reiko asked Izuku something as she tilted her head with an illuminating smile,
"I hope we get to read the sequel like this..." But they never did.
