Several days have passed since Hinu has joined the Kuoh kendo club as she took to kendo quickly and showed talent for it as she and the other girls where in the club's changing room as Hinu was removing her kendo attire to change back into her normal school clothes as Hinu was now looking at her stats and skills as a part of her normal everyday life now.
Like her own little superpower.
"Hinu-san are you sure you've never practiced kendo before? Your skill with it is rather impressive and how quickly your advancing is also shocking." Katase said as she finished putting on a basic light blue bra and panties.
"Well, I'm just trying to catch up to everyone since you guys have been doing this longer than I have." Hinu said as he put on her own dark green bra and panties before moving on to her school uniform.
"Still though. You have a future in kendo, and you might even make it to the nationals." Katase said as she buttoned up her shirt before all the girls suddenly felt a shiver run down their spines.

"You perverted bastards!" Murayama shouted as every looked at where she was yelling at as everyone saw a small hole in the wall along with hearing grunts and noise as everyone, but Hinu grabbed their kendo sticks after rushing to put their clothes on as Hinu also put her clothes on quickly and went outside and saw the kendo team beating three peeping toms that Hinu recognized as the perverted trio of Kuoh.

Looking at all their titles was something Hinu half expected but what she didn't expect was the title Hyoudou-san had because that title was very bizarre and surprisingly not perverted sounding even though he did have a perverted title as well.
Hinu ignored the boys wails of pain since they did deserve it for peeping on them, but Hinu also just felt uninterested in this as she surprisingly didn't really care one way or another that she was peeped on, but she was more concerned as to why she got a skill that let her detect danger and bloodlust from them even though Hinu didn't think that the trio would try anything like sexual assault or something.
"This is confusing." Hinu said as she adjusted her school clothes a bit before wandering off the school grounds since school was over now as she began walking down the street as she thought of this power of hers as she had spent time in the school and local library to find out about the supernatural and found out more about myths and fairytales and what not, but nothing overly explained or anything.
However, finding out magical knowledge and history is how people become witches and warlocks nowadays so at the very least she was starting somewhere. But the thing that got her stumped was the term [Sacred Gears] as Hinu couldn't find anything on them anywhere.
"I couldn't find anything online or on paper." Hinu said to herself as she found out various things and subjects but again nothing extremely concrete. "Help wanted?" Hinu asked as she walked through the business center and saw a nearby pawn shop looking for work as she did have club responsibilities now, but Hinu did want to have some Yen in her pocket without asking her mother for it.
Granted her mother could give her an allowance but Hinu wanted to try and be independent like the teens at school that brag about the money they have from working and doing stuff.
'Am I doing this to fit in or because I really want some Yen that doesn't come from drugs and stuff?' Hinu asked herself as she walked into the pawnshop and saw that the place has all sorts of random items and supplies and what not and at one of the three registers is a young man near Hinu's age as he seemed foreign as he looks like a European model.
He has a sharp but good-looking face with dark purple hair combed to the right side of his head, his eyes are a dark blue color as he has a athletic build with fair looking skin, he is also dressed in a black business suit and pants as the black blazer is open and showed a yellow buttoned up shirt, he is also wearing brown dress shoes and in all honesty he looked rather bored.

'Droz? Why does that seem familiar?' Hinu asked herself as she walked over to the guy which made him immediately perk up and put on a welcoming face and attitude.
"Hello and welcome to [Curious Curios]. Are you here for something specific? Something to turn in? Or something you bought on our website?" Mazet asked.
"Actually, I'm here about the job opening you have available." Hinu said with a smile.
"Well, if that's the case then you'll have to talk with dad. So, wait right here for a moment." Mazet said before he went over to the door to the private office across from the cash registers as Hinu just waited and leaned over the checkout lane next to the register as she waited before Mazet and another guy came out of the office as this person was not only Mazet's dad but also one of the high level people that Hinu had seen before.
Lucas Droz, Lvl: 35
Stray Exorcist
"Hello their young lady. My son has informed me that you wish to come work for me at my newly purchased pawnshop." Lucas said as he clearly didn't remember her as Hinu sat up straight and looked at Lucas.
"That is correct sir. I would like to work for this pawnshop, but I must tell you that I am still in high school." Hinu said as she and Lucas started talking in his office for a bit.
"Alright that seems to be everything for now so here." Lucas said as he gave Hinu a job application on paper as well as a safety manual for working in the pawnshop. "Take this to your mother and discuss things with her." Lucas said kindly.
"Of course, sir and thank you for the opportunity." Hinu said as she held everything tight in her hands as she then left the pawnshop and put the papers in her inventory before she went home and saw her mother was off work as Hinu took everything out of her inventory in the privacy of her room before she took them to her mother and began talking with her.
"Hinu sweat heart. You've been through a lot and then you joined the kendo club and I'm proud of that, but don't you think your over working yourself just a bit?" Manemi asked as she looked over the paperwork Hinu had given her.
"I know it's a lot to manage Okasan, but I wanted to try and earn some Yen." Hinu said as she scratched her head a bit.
"Well…After reading through all of this I have to say that at least this pawn shop can accommodate students like you. So, I will let you do this, but you must keep your grades up and you can't slack off in your kendo club. Understood?" Manemi asked in a serious tone of voice.
"I understand Okasan and I promise I won't let you down." Hinu said with a smile as she grabbed her paperwork before heading back out to the pawnshop to fill out everything even though the sun was starting to set.

"Hey your back." Mazet said as a customer had just left the shop as Hinu had entered as the store was now empty.
"Yes, and I wanted to fill out the application and talk with your Otosan some more." Hinu said.
"Well, you certainly picked a nice place to work. It get's busy sometimes like other stores but it can also be pretty chill at times." Mazet said with a shrug as Lucas soon came up to the both of them.
"Oh, your back." Lucas said.
"Yup and I am here to fill out this job application and hopefully get the job." Hinu said with a smile on her face before someone else came into the store with an upset look as this person also looked like she was from a foreign country.
Amanda Renou, Lvl: 29
Stray Exorcist
Amanda has fair skin with straight black hair combed down to her chin as she has light green eyes with a athletic build as she is currently dressed in a black nun robe decorated with a bejeweled cross around her neck and over both her wrists but the robe seemed to have pockets as well and flat black shoes on her feet with white socks on her feet.
"So, you actually did it. I didn't believe the others when they told me the reason you left the faith behind but now that I'm here I can see the truth clear as day." Amanda said with a serious tone of voice as Hinu sensed danger coming from this woman.
"Amanda. What are you doing here?" Lucas asked in his own serious tone.
"I'm here on business. But to think that you actually betrayed the lord and laid down with a lycan. It's truly disgusting." Amanda said as she looked at Mazet with anger as Mazet himself had put on his own angry face at the woman's words.
"You need to leave." Lucas said.
"I will but only after I rid the world of your filth." Amanda said before a new feeling washed over her along with Lucas and Mazet.

"You plan on fighting even with a civilian present?" Lucas asked as he glanced at Hinu who took a slow and shaky step backwards as she kept sensing danger all around her.
"If you lie down with dogs then you'll get slaughtered along with them." Amanda said before she quickly reached into her pocket and took out a strange weapon as the weapon as it looks like a large golden cross with jewels on it but Amanda raised it into the air before bringing it back downwards as the top of the cross had changed into a whip that extended down towards Lucas as he caught the whip and ignored the pain as his hand had started bleeding.
"Mazet. Take Hinu out of here." Lucas ordered as Mazet quickly took Hinu's hand and rushed towards the back of the store before two more people entered through the locked emergency door in the back of the store as these were other stray exorcists.
"Time for you to die dog." One of the exorcist said before they both took out strange looking devices before the items became white beam like swords as Hinu said something appear in front of her.

"Look I don't know what's going on, but I do know that you people need to leave and stop trying to fight Droz-san and his son." Hinu said as she chose to do the first objective since senseless killing wasn't something Hinu ever wanted to do no matter what rewards where promised.
"Sorry kid but that isn't how this works. Now we are going to kill you along with the traitor and this beast." The other stray exorcist said before they both charged at Hinu and Mazet as Hinu dodged to the right while Mazet went left as he snarled at the exorcist that went after him as Hinu was busy evading the strikes that the second exorcist was sending her way as the guy was a bit faster then her but thanks to her kendo training, Hinu evaded getting slashed by the strange looking weapon as she backed up into a suit of knight armor with a steel broad sword in its hands as Hinu quickly grabbed the sword from the display and used it to block the next strike the exorcist had sent her way.
"You damn brat. Stay still and die." The exorcist said as he kicked Hinu back and went for a overhead slash but Hinu easily and quickly recovered from the blow as she stayed low and moved over to the exorcist right side and as he turned to face her.
He was hit with Hinu's own blade as she slashed the exorcists knee joints from behind and made him collapse on the ground in pain as he could barely even crawl now and was definitely done fighting as Hinu looked over to Mazet who had already taken care of his own exorcist by knocking him out cold as his head hit the wall from one of Mazet's punches and ended up putting a large hole in the wall as the exorcist slid down onto the ground defeated.
"Lastly was Lucas and Amanda as Lucas seemed to have taken a beating as his clothes had multiple rips and tears in them from the whip Amanda used but Lucas had inflicted his own damage back.
Lucas had a sword of his own that looked nearly identical to the swords the other exorcists were using as he had put various slashes on Amanda's body as the two of them seemed to be at a draw.
"Let's see you deal with this." Amada said as she tightly gripped her cross shaped weapon as she aimed it at Lucas and suddenly four golden objects of magic came to life as the objects where in the shapes of claymore swords and they rocketed towards Lucas as Lucas had used his sword to deflect the attacks and shatter them like glass which greatly shocked Amanda. "How? How did you reflect holy magic? A heretic can't nullify holy magic like that." Amanda said in shock.
"I didn't nullify it. I simply overpowered it because even though holy magic is powerful. The wielders mana is also a factor and frankly you hardly ever put in the proper training and that means that your mana is weaker than mine now. So, I'm sorry but after attacking me and trying to kill my son. I can't allow you to live and report back to the fallen one's." Lucas said as he walked towards Amanda as she slumped to her knees on the ground in anger before she shouted.
"Damn it!" Amanda shouted with all her breath before her head was swiftly cut off as Hinu looked away from that sight and the body since she didn't want the sight to haunt her and then the dimensional space they where in had faded away as they where now back in the real world but the bodies of Amanda and her allies where gone and still trapped in the now destroyed dimensional space of reality.
"Okay Hinu I want to thank you for helping my son even though I'm sure you would run away. So, I'm just going to assume you have questions." Lucas said with a nervous chuckled before Hinu understandably asked various questions about what had just happened.
However the answers would be told in Lucas's office where Mazet and Hinu now sat at as Lucas stood up and began telling Hinu the truth.
"Alright Asai-san I will start this off by informing you that the supernatural myths and stories of the world are all true to certain extents. Things like demons, ghost and god's are all real and people in the supernatural world can be just as dangerous.
Now I am a former exorcist, and an exorcist is someone who destroys monsters and demons in the name of the catholic church or more specifically in the name of our lord and savior God.
I left the church when I fell for a woman named Ann and she was a lycan better known as a werewolf and as a result I have my son here, but the church sent assassination squads after me and killed Ann before I went deeper into hiding and came here.
Now I can't say why other stray exorcist are coming here but my guess would be that they are working with the fallen angels in the area and yes fallen angels are real as well and so are angels and devils.
Now I can and will tell you more but first we need to address certain things. Now normally for people like you who blindly stumble into the supernatural by accident. You'd either be used as a biological research or have your mind wiped depending on who finds you but given the way you acted, I have a different option I want to give you.
Asai Hinu I would like to take you on as my apprentice since you displayed true kindness by helping my son and that is not something I have seen in a long time." Lucas said as all this information was storming and surging around in Hinu's head.
"Droz-san this is a lot to process and honestly I don't really understand any of it but what just happened was…Exciting and I want to experience more of that." Hinu said in all honesty.
"Alright then. Now I will have you on paper as a employee but when you come here I will be training you properly to defend yourself and learn about the supernatural world as a whole but what you do with the information is solely on you understand?" Lucas asked.
"I understand." Hinu said before Lucas allowed her to leave after giving her a schedule of when she would have to come into work after she filled out the job application and gave it to him.

"Cool." Hinu said as she made her way home still thinking about how easily she used a real sword because [Kenjutsu] was a skill that came from training with kendo sticks and American swords are different in terms of ability and usage. "Does [Kenjustu] cover all swords instead of just Japanese ones?" Hinu asked herself as she thought of the sword that she had to put back in it's proper place before leaving.
"I swear I'm just getting more questions instead of answers." Hinu said to herself in slight agitation even though she was happy she got some new skills and everything. "It's too late to start thinking about all of this." Hinu said as she made her way home to get some rest.
Time: 5/12/2021
After school ended Hinu made her way to the pawnshop she now worked at and soon enough Lucas had led her into one of the backdoors of the pawnshop that lead down into a extremely well lit and pretty looking basement.
Honestly it looked Victorian themed with red carpet and paintings and what not as it was also extremely spacious.
"Alright Asai-san. Take a seat and we will begin your training." Lucas said as the both of them took seats in well made wooden chairs as Lucas began explaining magic and how it truly works for 'Humans' as human magic is different from the magic of other races and beings.
Hinu had to take out notes as she began writing down what she heard and what she would have to start studying as Lucas was covering a lot of subjects and information as a vast majority of it went over Hinu's head.
"Now let's move on to [Sacred Gears] and the one you possess." Lucas said as this subject truly caught Hinu's attention as he began to explain what a [Sacred Gear] was and how people have them at birth. "Now your [Sacred Gear] seems to act passively despite it having an active mode and that means that it is a strong [Twice Critical] variant of [Sacred Gear] so what I want you to do Asai-san is to focus as hard as you possibly can on what you believe is the strongest part of your body." Lucas said in a serious tone of voice.
"Okay." Hinu said as she closed her eyes and began focusing on what she imagined is the strongest part of her body as Hinu focused as hard as she could before she felt something warm and…Vibrating within her right hand.
"Okay. Now I want you to imagine that power surfacing to the physical world. As if you're swimming and finally coming up for air." Lucas said as Hinu focused on exactly what Lucas said as she focused on moving that power.
It took a while but finally that power moved but much faster than Hinu thought it could as it felt as if her powers burst out of her like a force of nature as she heard multiple dings in her head before she opened her eyes and not only saw something new appear over her right hand and part of her wrist and forearm, but she also felt the objects weight and how it hummed with power.

The gauntlet on Hinu's hand was a pure white color with sky blue accents as the gauntlet was in the shape of a basic glove that went from her fingers to slightly past her wrist and onto her forearm as the back of her hand had a sky blue gemstone on it as it was a clear blue and seemed like it had some type of fog or something within it as the blue accents on the gauntlet came from the crystals base as they acted almost like blood veins in shape.
"Whoa." Hinu said as she moved her gauntlet covered hand a bit.
"Congrats on summoning your [Sacred Gear]. So do you know what it can do?" Lucas asked making Hinu stop and hum for a moment before she ultimately decided to tell the truth and explain how this [Sacred Gear] had transformed her life into a videogame. "So, you have the [Gamers Gear] and that is just a step down in power compared to a [Longinus]." Lucas said before he quickly shot up and walked over to one of the bookcases in the room.
"Did I do something wrong?" Hinu asked in confusion.
"No but this book is one of the books written by a monk of an extinct sect of worship and abilities so what I want you to do is read it and tell me what happens." Lucas said before Hinu took the large thick covered book and looked the title over before a new game screen appeared in front of her.

Lucas said as Hinu looked back down at her game screen and selected the yes option and when she did the book disappeared into a flurry of golden yellow flower pedals as she just gained multiple new skills.

"Ow." Hinu said to herself as she rubbed her head a bit since all the newfound information has given her a massive headache.
"Did you learn anything?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah, I learned all the female techniques anyway and I need to tell you that the book is extremely sexist." Hinu said as she shook her head a bit to try and shake away the pain that in truth was quickly leaving.
"I won't argue that but still the fact that you learned everything so quickly shows proof that you are this generations [Gamer] and that means you are a person who will be hunted if other people learn about you." Lucas said as Hinu now thought about her mother and the danger she might be put in now.
"So that means that I shouldn't tell people about my [Sacred Gear]." Hinu said.
"Exactly. Now show me that martial arts you learned, and I will correct you on mistakes you make." Lucas said as he and Hinu walked towards the center of the room as they both got into their own combat stance as Hinu wasn't used to using tiger style martial arts and it quickly showed as Lucas correct many errors and mistakes.
"I didn't know you knew martial arts." Hinu said as she sent a kick at Lucas who easily blocked it and raised her foot high which made her fall onto her butt before he offered her a hand up.
"I picked up several skills over the years and now that I know a rough estimate of your martial arts skills let's go back to arcane knowledge and wards." Lucas said as Hinu spent more time studying about magic before Hinu was allowed to go home as Hinu started making her way home on the still busy sidewalks of Kuoh as Hinu looked at her inventory at the items Lucas has given her as a gift and a form of future training.

'He's a stray devil and that means that I should stay away from him, but he is also a yokai hunter and while it's true that some yokai crave death and murder. Some yokai are nice and just normal pranksters…It's getting late so I should just leave well enough alone.' Hinu thought to herself before a new game window appeared.

Hinu let out a heavy breath as she hated having morals and ideals as she selected the yes button and started following the stray devil through the city before he boarded a bullet train heading to Kyoto of all places.
Thankfully Hinu had saved up enough Yen to buy a ticket as she purchased a ticket and boarded the train a few rows behind the stray devil that seemed to not notice Hinu following him.
"Okasan is going to kill me." Hinu said to herself as it was pretty late now as the train finally stopped and Hinu got up and followed the stray devil out of the train and into the city of Kyoto and it was a beautiful city and Hinu would have loved to explore it, but she remained focused as she followed the stray devil towards a late-night café.
Now Hinu had begun to sense bloodlust from this stray devil as the stray devil walked closer to the café and when he did Hinu got ready and prepared to fight as she entered the café after the stray did as the stray quickly created a dimensional space before taking out what looked like a throwing knife that he aimed to throw at a small child.
"Die animal!" Vale shouted as he aimed to throw the weapon at the child before her mother grabbed her and moved her out of the way but before Vale could actually throw the weapon his hand was sliced off at the wrist by Hinu who took several steps backwards once Vale started screaming in pain before a purple magic circle formed over the wound and stopped it from bleeding anymore. "You bitch!" Vale shouted as Hinu tightly gripped her light sword in her right hand as she breathed in and out for a moment before responding.
"You shouldn't attack children stray devil-san. Now I am going to give you one warning and one warning only. Leave and don't come back." Hinu said in her own serious tone of voice.
"You actually think you can threaten me? You either brave or stupid." Vale said before he charged at Hinu with blinding speed as Hinu raised her light sword and blocked Vale's attack as he aimed to punch Hinu but instead he punched the blade with his left hand making him reel backwards a bit in pain as he scorched his hand.
However, Hinu didn't hesitate to continue the fight as she rushed Vale with a flurry of strikes as each one left burns on Vale's flesh until the strikes landed deep enough to finally put Vale down as he collapsed onto the ground dead from the wounds he had suffered as he lost the fight the second, he started panicking after losing his dominant hand.
"Well, that solves that." Hinu said as she got an alert telling her that she completed the quest to save the yokai and levelled up again as she put her light sword back in her inventory.

After dismissing the game screen Hinu turned around to walk out of the café before she was now face to face with the admittedly beautiful woman as that made Hinu jump back with caution a bit.

"Well, you smell human enough. So, would you care to explain why you just killed a devil in my territory?" Yasaka asked as Hinu suddenly felt as if she was talking to her mother and couldn't refuse or lie to this woman.
"That stray devil was my target, and he was making his way here to kill yokai so I wanted to stop him before he could and frankly, I got lucky since I made him panic and freak out." Hinu said as she knew a smart devil of any kind could end her in a moment after talking with Lucas about his exploits in the past.
"Well, if he wanted to kill yokai then he targeted the wrong one and I would have killed him a thousand times over for making an attempted on Kunou's life. But still, I must thank you for sparing me the trouble. So, would you like to stay for dinner?" Yasaka asked making Hinu gulp a bit as something about this woman sacred Hinu.
Not in a dangerous way mind you but more like she couldn't find a good way to refuse or challenge anything this woman says.
"I'd like to…But I really should head back home." Hinu said nervously a bit before Yasaka suddenly appeared next to Hinu as Yasaka had Hinu's arm and pressed it against her large breast making Hinu blush a bit as her body started feeling hot.
"Please. Just stay a little bit longer." Yasaka said in an almost begging voice as Hinu almost couldn't form words.
"Can you please stay. I want to thank you for saving my life even if mama say's you didn't have to." The young girl known as Kunou said as Hinu couldn't find it in herself to reject both of them.
"I'm already going to be in trouble so I might as well stay a minute longer." Hinu said as Yasaka causally broke the dimensional space they where in before Hinu sat down at a table with Yasaka and Kunou as the three of them began talking a bit.
"So Asai Hinu. You're a Kuoh Academy second year judging by the uniform you're wearing." Yasaka said getting Hinu's attention as Hinu was looking over the menu with slight worry since she didn't realize she spent all her yen on a ticket to get to Kyoto and back.
"Yeah, that's true." Hinu said.
"Are you dating anyone?" Yasaka asked making Hinu and Kunou both blush.
"Mama." Kunou cried in embarrassment.
"What? I'm simply asking a question." Yasaka said back.
"Well, no I'm not dating anyone." Hinu said to Yasaka who smiled at that.
Anyway, after a slightly awkward dinner Hinu left back towards the bullet train and made her way back home to Kuoh as she entered the house where she was promptly scolded before she went to bed exhausted and grounded.
