Prompt - 'you really don't want to open that door.'

Professor Neville Longbottom's brow furrowed as he walked the corridors of Hogwarts, and deepened when he saw James Sirius Potter leaning against a wall, looking this way and that.

"All right there, James?" he asked.

"YES PROFESSOR LONGBOTTOM, I'M QUITE WELL, HOW ARE YOU THIS EVENING?" shouted James.

"Well my ears are ringing, thanks for that. What are you doing, leaning here against a – ah, who is in the broom closet, James?" asked Neville knowingly.

But James scowled. "NOBODY SHOULD BE IN THE BROOM CLOSET," yelled James.

"James, stop, I get it. You're covering for a friend, who's in there with somebody, aren't you? Who is it...Freddie?"

" Ew, Uncle Neville, we're only eleven! I'm not even into girls...yet," he winked, lapsing into familiarity with his brother's godfather.

"Step aside, please James, if it's a first year, they should be back in the common room. I don't have time for this, I have parent teacher interviews tonight," reasoned Neville.

"You really don't want to open that door, Professor," warned James, grimacing.

Neville raised an eyebrow and James reluctantly stepped aside. Neville raised his wand, cast Lumos and opened the door...just in time to see Ginny Potter rearrange her shirt, and Harry zip up his pants.

"Hi Neville," called Ginny, brushing her fingers through her hair, completely calm.

"Er..." Neville did not know what to say; Harry and Ginny Potter in a broom closet at Hogwarts was the last thing he had expected.

"We got here a bit early for our parent teacher interview," Ginny told him, grinning.

Harry grinned at him a bit sheepishly.

"Harry and I have never done it in a broom closet at Hogwarts," shrugged Ginny, " so we thought, while we're here..."

Neville thought back to Ginny's final year at Hogwarts; he was working alongside Harry and Ron as an auror, but he knew Harry had snuck into the castle when he was missing Ginny, and they'd spend the night in the Room of Requirement.

" I have three words for you, Ginny, Harry. Room of Requirement," said Neville, somewhat sternly.

Ginny brightened. " Oh yeah, thanks! We should go there too, Harry, see if the room changes to the same it did years ago. Thanks for the idea Neville."

She grabbed Harry's hand and pulled him along.

"No, that's not what I meant," called Neville, to their backs. "What about our meeting?"

" I wouldn't worry about it," said James, suddenly reappearing. "I'm pretty sure headmistress Macgonagall sends home a letter about me every week. You, er, won't tell anybody about this will you? I'll be so embarassed. When I saw them go in there, I sort of guarded it so nobody would go in there and find them."

He scowled at his parent's figures as they turned a corner and disappeared.

" No, I won't say anything to anybody, James," soothed Neville, placing a hand on his shoulder in comfort. He remembered what it was like to be bullied and teased.

"Parents," shrugged James, " what are you gonna do with them?"
