Answer Review: Krom- Justice League Unlimited so DCAU
The infiltration into the Watchtower has begun. Task Force X is disguise as engineers and looks around to see Earth. "Yeah yeah." The person working on the teleporter said with annoyance. "It's nice but come on. You got work to do."
The team walk but then the worker looks at Captain Boomerang. "Hey dude um... What happen to you?"
"Oh this." He points at his black eye and gives an excuse. "Well I tried to go to the pub and try some moves with the ladies and let's just say it didn't work out well."
"Heh! I feel your pain man. Okay move along." The team leaves the room though Peggy has a grin on her face. She looks up and sees Martian Manhunter flying above them. Task Force X goes into a closet and take out their weapons: Captain Boomerang takes out the hidden gauntlet with his boomerangs, Plastique opens her top and rips off fake skin to reveal explosives, Deadshot takes his candy bars and opens them to show parts for a gun, and Captain Britain presses a button on her arm to deactivate the cloaking device on her shield. She turns it back on and the shield disappears. The best marksman puts the part together and creates a pistol. "Not my favorite but it will do. What about you Flagg, don't have anything?"
"This one don't need any." The Australian criminal comments, noticing that the colonel doesn't seem to have any weapons. The team moves ahead through the facility and Colonel Flagg nods, giving the message to separate the team with Captain Britain, Plastique, and Deadshot going downstairs while Captain Boomerang and Flagg head to storage. Peggy and her team go to the elevator and go to the nuclear battery. On the way down, Green Lantern enters and looks at Peggy, almost like he is trying to remember something about her.
"Have we met before ma'am?" He asks, staring at Peggy, which makes her have a thinking look. "I don't believe so, Green Lantern."
"Hmm…" John Stewart shrugs and leaves the elevator with only the Task Force X inside. Deadshot smirks at the war hero of World War 2, knowing why Green Lantern found her familiar.
"Guess the soldier from space would know you." He said which makes her roll her eyes and the elevator opens. "Keep moving Lawton."
The team walks to the fusion generator and Plastique walks to the controls to plant the explosives. A worker enters the room and sees Deadshot with a gun so he grabs the villain. But Floyd punches him in the stomach than hits him with his gun, knocking him out. "Hey darling, how are we on the explosion?"
"Oh calm down Floyd, you need time to make a big boom." Plastique said as she works on the C4. She turns on the timer and runs away along with Deadshot but Carter grabs the engineer and carries him away from the room. Floyd sees her and tries to get her to let him go. "Captain what are you doing? He's going to tell on us."
"Shut it! I'm not letting him die." Captain Britain tells Deadshot as she refuses to let someone die on this mission. The explosion shakes the space station as she places the engineer down and the team run towards the second team. On the way, they try to get to a closing door but it is to late. Luckily Captain Atom grabs the gate and lifts it up to give them the chance to leave. "Hurry to evacuation!"
Once they make it to the hallway, they find Flagg and Boomerang next to a giant suit of armor. "There you are. Say hello to the Annihilator."
"Heavens! So this is our objective." Peggy looks at the weapon. Task Force X runs but are stop by three heroes Atom Smasher, Shining Knight, and Vigilante. "Now where are y'all going?"
"Perhaps these knaves are the reason for our castle's shutdown." The knight from King Arthur's time deduces and the intruders prepare to go through them to escape. Atom Smasher grows and runs at them. Flagg however gives the giant armor an order. "Annihilator, destroy."
The Greek super weapon charges at punches Atom Smasher. Vigilante shoots at them but Peggy blocks the bullets while Deadshot shoots as well. "Floyd stop! You'll kill him!"
"That's the point sweetheart!" Deadshot said while Boomerang tries to hit the knight with the Australian weapon but he slices it with his sword. Flagg grabs the knight's sword and throws it to the ground. He punches him in the face causing him to stagger and try to hit back but he grabs it and knees him in the stomach. He grabs him and throws him towards Peggy and she hits Shining Knight with her shield, knocking him out. Annihilator grabs Atom Smasher and smashes his head to the ground. He tries to punch the armor giant but it doesn't even make a dent. Vigilante clutches his leg due to Deadshot shooting him. The assassin is about to finish him off but Peggy dives and blocks the bullet and punches him on the face. "That's enough Floyd."
"Aw hell." Boomerang can only mutter as Peggy runs towards and punches him in the other eye. "Let me give you a matching black eye set Harkness."
"Captain Carter, what are you doing?!" Flagg demands his childhood hero. He contacts his commanding officer. "Clock King come in, activate the bombs now!"
"I can't, they are turning off."
"What?" Flagg is confused until he thinks of something that has bugged him since he entered the watchtower. "Martian Manhunter."
The Martian appears from invisibility in front of everyone. "Thank you Captain Britain for allowing me to go into your memories."
"But how? Manhunter shouldn't be going into our minds. We took medicine that negates telepathy."
"No I spit it out, then once we enter the watchtower, I use sign language to give Martian Manhunter permission to go into my mind and find out about Task Force X." Carter said, revealing the truth. Using sign language, Captain Britain warned Martian Manhunter and so he turned invisible and followed the task force. He entered everyone's bodies and took out the explosive nanites.
Flagg can't believe that the mission has failed. He is about to order the Annihilator armor but he sees Captain Britain shake her head, not wanting him to continue this violence. Realizing he has lost, he kneels and surrenders. "Annihilator, shut down."
"What do you think you are doing, Rick Flagg?!" Amanda Waller shouts from his communicator as the giant armor stops it's movement.
"I'm sorry, Director but they have taken out all of the bombs." He said but she says something that makes his face pale. "Not all of the bombs."
Clock King can be heard pleading for mercy. "P-please Miss Waller! Have merc-"
*BOOM*
The explosion can be heard and the line goes dark. The colonel is shocked by this ruthlessness and has a thought. "She put bomb nanites in my body didn't she?"
Manhunter nods and Rick Flagg looks defeated. Peggy Carter walks toward Plastique and she quickly holds her hands up. "Hey I'm not going against my hero."
"Smart move Plastique." Carter says to the supervillain and walks toward Manhunter and Flagg. She kneels to the colonel. "Please Rick, we need to stop Waller before she uses others. Tell us what you can about Director Waller."
Rick Flagg looks at his hero and knows Director Waller will not stop after this failure. She will do much worse. "I know a base she goes to that is owned by Cadmus. Leaders such as General Eiling, Professor Hamilton and Lex Luthor will be there."
"Then we have a target." Peggy Carter said but J'onn warns her.
"I'm afraid we can't help you. The Justice League wants to help but we can't attack a U.S government agency." But the Captain pulls out her phone to make a call.
"Thank you Martian Manhunter but I know friends that can help."
(Cadmus Base)
Amanda Waller walks toward the room where Dr Hamilton is standing in front of three pods which have names on each one of them. "Are they ready for action?"
"Indeed Director Waller but why? We still have time for testing." The doctor is confuse that she is rushing the process but she shakes her head.
"We may be compromise. Release them and prepare them for combat." She warns and she looks at the three names of Cadmus' greatest creations: Doomsday, Galatea, and Captain America.
Author's Note- What if..? was worth the wait. It was nice but episode 1 was basically First Avenger with Captain Carter
