AN: Hey Killa's welcome to new chapter and here we have the UA exams. This is where our favorite super soldier will take the exams, but let's do something different. Let's turn the focus on someone else and see how they are doing. Peace out.

Reviews:

Yub: Thank you. I wasn't sure how that chapter was going to be received by everyone, but it seemed like everyone enjoyed it very much.

Ochsee: I was thinking about it, but I won't say never. Who knows maybe later down the road I bring her back to make Melissa little bit jealous. I don't know, but we'll see.

Umbra Lycan: The family dynamic between Shota, Izuku, and Emi is going to be fun to write and we have another great moment of that in this chapter.

Random65: You will see a lot of references from video games that take place in the Japan, but the ghost reference is very important, don't forget that.

Dragonslay3r94: Still split on the decision, but I have enough time. Most likely I will make my final decision by the end of the USJ arc.

Alright that is it for reviews, see yah next chapter.

Chapter 5: Time For The Exams

"Again!" A man shouted, the man was wearing baggy clothes that consisted of a white shirt and green pants. Black boots were on his feet as he stood in a field and watched a young girl with blonde hair. The girl had blonde hair that went down to her waist and currently it was in a ponytail as she continued to run the track.

Her heart was racing, sweat was dripping down her body, and her body was screaming to stop, but she could not stop. The girl continued to sprint around the red circle, this was her ninth lap of running. The sun was just rising so it would seem that her training would soon come to an end. The man looked upon his student, she had grown over the months that he had been training her. He still remembers how this all began, how she came to him asking him to train her in becoming a hero.

At first he was against it, he didn't want her involved, she was his god daughter for god sake, but eventually he caved. She showed him that she was willing to throw any and all tests to prove herself and that meant risking her life to save someone from a burning building.

It was reckless and dangerous, but in the end he made it in time to save her and the child. When they got some alone time he asked her why she ran into that building knowing the risk. Her answer shocked him, she said that her body just acted on its own.

It was at the moment when he realized that she was the one. She was the one to inherit not just his legacy, but also his power. For the first time in her life he came clean to her and let his student in on the secret that not even her father knows about. That is the day when All Might, the number one hero, told Melissa Shield the story about his own quirk called One For All.

"Enough!" All Might screamed aloud and Melissa stopped running, her hand was on her knees as she inhaled breaths of air. When she got a good intake of air she wiped the sweat from her brow and began to walk to her uncle.

All Might watched her come to him and it was sometimes hard to believe that his niece had grown so beautiful. His training had changed her body, she was muscular, more fit, but she also kept her natural beauty that she inherited from her mother.

Melissa was a product of both her parents, the beauty belonged to her mother while intellect and genius mind belonged to his best friend which was her father. It still hurts him to go behind David's back, but he can not know about this. The less people that know about One For All the safer they are and this was the promise that he made Melissa swear too. Melissa agreed, the last thing she wanted to lose was her father. They both lost their mother when she was younger to a car crash, the last thing she needed to worry about was worry him.

"How was that Uncle?" Melissa asked her uncle how she did and All Might nodded at her with a smile on his skinny face. Melissa has done well since her training began and now it was time that she earned her reward.

"You did very well. Listen Melissa, I know these last few months I have been pushing you, but during this time you have shown great strength and will to not quit." Melissa smiled when hearing those words. It was indeed true that she had been pushed hard, but All Might had no choice. The day he heard about All For One returning is the day that he pushed Melissa harder than originally and now that she passed all his tests her body was ready to take the power.

"You have passed all of my tests and now you have earned the power of One For All." Melissa's tired smile showed her pearly white teeth. This is everything that she has worked for, everything is coming full circle now. It was time to take her place as the next successor of One For All and honor her teacher the ones that came before her.

"I am an honored and glad uncle, but how do we do this? Do you like to pat my head and pass down the power or is there some kind of secret word that you must say to pass down the power." All Might chuckled and shook his head, the process was nothing of that sort. In fact it was quite simple, but it was also gross which is something that Melissa is about to find out.

"Nope nothing like that, in fact all you have to do is eat this." All Might turned into his heroic form and plucked a piece of hair from the top of his head and showed a thin strand of it to Melissa. Melissa looked at the hair with a dumb and shocked look on her face, like expression was beyond indescribable. She could not believe that in order to get this legendary power she would have to eat a piece of hair.

"Excuse me what?"

"You have to have a piece of my DNA in you in order to receive One For All. I brought you a bottle of water as well." All Might said all of that with the straightest face possible which should be impossible since you're asking someone to eat your hair..like what the hell. Melissa was now starting to question if this power was worth it, but too late to back out now she guessed.

After what felt like hours to Melissa she was able to get the piece of hair down, but my god it was a struggle for her. Melissa nearly hacked it up twice, but somehow she was able to swallow the piece of DNA down her throat.

"It's down! Oh my god, it's down." Melissa breathed she did and with the DNA now consumed into her All Might de-buffed, the hard part came now.

"Good, now we wait. The exams are tomorrow so for now you can rest till then, but Melissa just because swallowed my DNA does not mean that you inherited my power. Now you have to prove it to the others as well. When they see that you have the will to inherit their power then the power of One For All becomes accessible to you." Melissa understood, but still had one question that trumped all the others.

"How will I know that I earned their approval?" All Might smiled and answered her question with the same answer that his sensei gave him.

"All it takes is a leap of faith. Once you take it the path will become visible." The answer left Melissa with more questions than answers, it was uncommon for All Might to speak like sage, but she believes his age is catching up to him.

There were many rumors going around of when the great symbol of Peace would retire, some speculated that he never would. But now after training with her uncle for so long Melissa could see that All Might was no longer All Might.

Yes he still carried the great heroic heart and charisma that made him who is, but he was weaker, slower, older. It's no wonder why she was being pushed the way she was, he needs to make sure that is ready to face the world and it's dangers. She needs to not only be the ninth inheritor of One For All, but also be the next Symbol of Peace.

"Don't worry uncle, I won't let you down." Melissa said those words with fiery determination that made All Might smile. He grabbed her shoulder and nodded his head, he knew that she wouldn't disappoint him. All she hopes is that she doesn't disappoint herself.

The master and student left the field, with Melissa now having the power of One For All inside of her now the next part is to unlock. She will have her opportunity though tomorrow for the UA Exams have finally come and everyone that has been looking for a chance to learn in the best hero school in the world will be there including one Izuku Aizawa.

Izuku's Room

Izuku was up late, he knew that he should be asleep, but he couldn't. The exams were today and I wanted to finish tinkering with his tools before getting ready. The teen was sitting at his work desk in his room with the lamp on.

The super soldier had small tools in his hand as his desk filled with various parts from his costume. One in particular that was the right blue gauntlet that laid on the desk with wires hooked up to it. Izuku had his laptop next to him while he added upgrades to the piece of armor.

"Izu?" Izuku looked to his door to see his surrogate mother opening it. "What are you doing up?" Emi asked him, she was clearly tired because she had just woken up. She came into the room to see the teen working at his desk. It seems whenever she came into his room he was either watching something on his tv or working at his desk.

"Sorry if I woke you Emi, I was working." Emi fully entered the room with her red robe on, she had some cat shaped slippers on her feet as she stepped to the teen's desk.

"Had another nightmare?" Emi asked him if there was no point of beating around the bush. Izuku didn't answer her and turned back to his work, just by not answering the woman the answer that she needed to know. Usually Emi uses jokes to break the ice, to ease the tension. They say laughter is the best form of medicine, but that doesn't work on everyone. Some people don't need laughter and instead they need comfort.

Emi grabbed an extra seat and pulled up next to him at his desk. "What are you working on?" Izuku was caught by surprise on that one, he didn't expect Emi to ask him about the upgrades to his gear. In fact he figured that she would go on about getting therapy or force him to talk about his nightmares, but he was proved wrong.

"Upgrading my gear, trying to get my gear to sink with this drone that I bought. If I can, I summon my drone from the back pack with a press of the button." Emi understood and looked at the computer, it seemed that connection was off between the gauntlet and drone.

"I've never seen someone add so many upgrades to their gear everyday, not even pros do this daily." Izuku heard her and understood why most pros have powers that focus on inhuman abilities such as shooting fire or controlling gravity, but he was different.

"Yeah, I'm known to tinker with my gear even back when I was under his control. I would work on my armor everyday. My quirk allows me to copy anyone's moves and that doesn't include martial arts forms. I can copy your super move if I wish." Emi was confused and Izuku saw the confusion, thus he began to elaborate on why he constantly adds upgrades to his suit everyday.

"Let's use Hawks for example. His primary power comes from his wings right?" At that Emi nodded her head, she has met and seen Hawks in a fight so she knows how he uses his wings and feathers.

"Now I can mimic everything that Hawks does including the way he flies, but the one thing I can't mimic is his power. Thus the upgrades comes, I add them to give me the abilities of those that have powers." Emi begins to understand now, Izuku adds the upgrades to accommodate for something that he simply does not have, but she still has some questions.

"But then why not just put all that stuff into your armor?" At that question Izuku smiled and looked at the woman that was trying to be his new mother. The easy thing was what she just said, he could easily add all the upgrades to his suit, but then he would sacrifice the one thing that he needs. Speed.

"I could do that, but then I would be weighed down. All those upgrades would slow me down, so I take what I can carry to be versatile. Now that does not mean I don't think about adding something like metal wings to my suit. One day maybe, but not right now. No offense, I don't have the tools necessary to make something like that anyway." Emi nodded her head and she finally understood why Izuku spent so much time upgrading his suit.

'It's not about copying every move, he can easily do that. It's about knowing which copied move to use when he fights someone. That's actually impressive, Izuku during a fight is already thinking three steps of an opponent who might be thinking only two. Izuku constantly changes his suit to fit him best for any opponent that he might face. That's actually ingenious.' Emi finished the thought with a look of realization on her face, Izuku was truly something different...and scary. If he is like this it makes her wonder what the other super soldiers are like and how powerful they are.

"Can you hand me that?" Izuku asked Emi to pass him the wire cutters, Izuku with the cutters in hand cut a wire that should make the connection from the gauntlet to his drone more stable. When he cut it he ran a system diagnostic, but still ran into the same problem.

"Damn it," Izuku cursed, what could be the problem and why could he not connect to the drone. If he could then that would give him a great aerial view of the battlefield and the locations of targets.

"Here, let me give it a try." Izuku was once again surprised by Emi, but instead of questioning it he allowed her to take a look at the laptop. Emi with the computer in hand began to type away on it and it wasn't long before she knew what the problem was.

"Ah, I see it. The problem was not the gauntlet, but the drone itself. Here, allow me to do this and...there." Emi passed the computer back to Izuku and he ran the system diagnostic on the suit and this time he got the connection that he wanted.

"Huh, how did you figure that out? I was spending hours on this thing." Emi shrugged her shoulders, she may have spent a lot time researching computer hardware back in younger days.

"I know a thing or two when it comes to computers, I took some advanced classes back when I was younger. I didn't always do stand up shows." Izuku laughed at that last part and that got Emi to have a big smile on her face. She got Izuku to laugh and it seemed to be a true genuine smile. The hard shell of the Taskmaster was starting to crack.

"That was funny. Anyway...Uh, thanks for helping me out."

"You can thank me by getting some sleep before you're exams." Izuku nodded his head, he should at least do that. The exams are not till later, but Emi has been pressuring him and Shota to sleep more.

"Alright, I will do it." Emi nodded her head and soon left his room, all while turned off the light on his desk. He closed his computer and just left everything the way it was, he will clean it up tomorrow, but for now he will sleep. Izuku laid down in the bed and soon closed his eyes, the peaceful sound of his sleep could be heard from outside and Emi peaked in his room to see that he was actually asleep.

Emi smiled when she saw that he was asleep, she closed the door and began to head back to her room which she shared with the boy's father. When she arrived back she saw her own man still asleep in the bed, she smiled and just got in the bed they both shared together. Emi snuggled up close to him and wrapped her arms around the man that she loved.

"How was it?" Shota asked out of the blue and Emi answered with her eyes still closed, but with a smile still on her face.

"It went well." Shota just hummed and went back to his own peaceful sleep. The Aizawa family slept the few hours that they had for when the sun was coming up and then it would be only a matter of time before they would all have to get up once again. But for once Izuku, while he slept, didn't have any bad dreams, no this time he actually had a quiet night of sleep.

Hours Later

Izuku and his adoptive parents were all sitting at the table eating lunch, all three of them were enjoying a peaceful breakfast as they watched the morning news. It seems everything was on the UA exams that were taking place today. There were news vans outside of the testing facilities to get a good look at the next generation of heroes.

"Getting there might be a pain. Want a ride?" Aizawa offered his son, but he shook his head. Not many people know that Eraserhead has a son and him coming out of the car of the underground hero might raise some eyebrows.

"Nah it's fine. I will drive myself, but quick question. How much of my gear can I use?" Shota knew the answer and it was best to tell the kid now instead of him bringing his whole gear with him.

"You can only use three." Izuku nodded his head, saying that it would work for him. When the teen was finished with his food he went to the sink to clean his dish off and when that was done he made his way to the door.

"I'll see you guys tonight. Also Emi thanks for earlier." Izuku waved goodbye to the pros and headed out the door. Emi waved goodbye as well with a smile, the ice was breaking, but it had not completely gone yet. Maybe Shota and Nezu were right and just letting Izuku find his own way to heal, but even with that she will always make sure that she is there for him even when doesn't think that she needs him.

"Check this out," Shota brought the Emi's attention to the television once again and this time it was breaking news.

"The Hero Killer strikes again as the body of the pro hero Biohazard has been found in the warehouse. This marks the fifth hero that the vigilante has killed. How long will he remain at large before he is caught? In other news the trial for another criminal is about to begin today. The infamous criminal Ryu Aoki also known to the underground as Scorpion will begin his trial today the a numerous counts of human trafficking and murder. The prosecution looks to give Aoki not one life sentence, but many others for the crimes that he has committed against the people of Japan."

The couple in the room listened to the reporter break down the trial, Shota and Emi know the name well. Scorpion is a dangerous villain that even killed heroes. Took a lot of work and one person was strong enough to testify against him.

"Think we got him this time?" Emi asked aloud and Shota was silent as he continued to watch. In truth he hoped that they would never have to see Scorpion ever again, but Aoki always had a way of escaping. All eyes in the hero world will be on this trial as it begins today.

Later at UA Testing Facility

Izuku's bike came to a stop as he parked in the testing facility, he took off his helmet and looked at the large building. This is where he will take his test to prove that he is worthy to be a hero, something that has yet to sink in with him yet. Izuku has the skill to be a hero. There is no question about it, but he wonders one thing. Does he have the heart to be one?

That is a question he asks himself every day. If you ask him the answer is no, his heart is ice cold and he has experienced the worst of humanity. If you ask him there might be some that don't deserve to live, that can't be saved. Can he be a hero if he kills people?

He wants to kill All For One and Ujiko for what they did. Those two are perfect examples of human scum that deserves to have their lives taken. After what they made him do, after what they made his siblings do. There will be no mercy when he faces them, trust and believe that.

Izuku got off his bike, he had his duffel bag at his side that carried most of his weapons that will be used for this exam. It wasn't everything that he wanted, but the weapons that he brought will be more than enough to get him through the heroic exam. The teen started to walk toward the building ready to begin the test and the start of his heroic journey, but unknown to him he will meet someone that will change his life.

Melissa was outside the gate, this was it. The moment she had longed for has finally arrived and all he had to do was walk inside and start her journey to become a hero. This was everything that her uncle had trained her for. This is her dream right before her eyes, since the day she decided that she wanted to be a hero, since the day she found out that she was quirkless. She has worked her ass off to get to this point and now all she had to do was walk forward.

Melissa took the first step past the gate and just looked around, she saw the many students that were heading into the building. She saw many teenagers that had no doubt natural quirks that they were born with, unlike her that is. Melissa was not trying to worry about it, but she had yet to unlock the power of One For All. She doesn't know when she will unlock, but she just hopes that the others that had his power before her will be able to see that she is worthy of carrying it.

Melissa shook her head, she didn't need to put too much focus into that. What she needed to focus on was what's in front of her for lack of observation caused her to bump into someone.

"Ow," Melissa exclaimed as her body crashed into something that akin to a wall, the bump nearly caused her to fall over, but her savior was none other than the man she bumped into. Melissa was about to fall back, but that didn't happen when she felt her shirt be grabbed by a hand.

Melissa opened her eyes and looked to see arguably the most handsome guy she has ever seen. Seriously to her she was down right gorgeous, looks, eyes, jaw structure, and to add some cuteness to him he had these freckles on his face.

"Yo, you ok?" Melissa heard him say and it took her a whole minute to even process what he just asked. If her brilliant finally did process it she blushed from embarrassment for she was being held up by him. The mysterious savior was holding her up by her shirt, if he would let go her back would be heading straight to the ground.

"Uh...yeah, yeah I am. Uh...could you let me go now." Izuku nodded his head and pulled her up. She was standing up straight. When he brought her up he let go of her shirt and turned around.

"Keep your eyes open, don't want you to hit anyone else." Izuku scolds her, he knows it's an exciting day, but he doesn't want to get trampled so everyone can rush to get to the same place. Izuku began walking to the doors that would lead him into the testing area, all while the girl that he just saved was still standing in the same spot.

"Oh crap, I'm going to be late." Melissa grabbed her head in frustration, she was too busy day dreaming about a guy that she doesn't even know instead of focusing on the exam. The blonde genius ran towards the doors so she could hurry in and get to the testing area. When she signed the pros they told her the direction of the doors that she needed to go.

Melissa found the doors and opened and widened her eyes when she seemed to be hundreds of teenagers all seated. All of them were here for the same thing as she was, all of them wanted to be part of UA. Melissa found a seat, it was next to another girl with brown hair. She sat next to the girl and before she could introduce the lights cut right off.

A single spotlight was pointed right at the center of the stage and soon started to appear on the stage. Loud rock music began to be played and fire shot up into the sky, soon enough the man that had the concert-like appearance appeared from below the ground. There he was the ayatollah of rock'n rolla, the one, the only, Present Mic.

"What's up yooo!?" Izuku watched his uncle scream the question into the mic just as the smoke was starting to dissipate. Present Mic was Izuku's de facto uncle and he chose that much like his aunt in Midnight. Shota told him that Mic has a good heart, but a tendency to be extra and the teen was seeing it first hand.

"Can I get a hell yeah?!" Mic screamed again and was met with silence until one worthy soul decided to give him what he wanted.

"Hell yeah," All eyes including Izuku turned where the sound came from and to his surprise it belonged to the girl that crashed into him. Izuku shook his head, why on earth did she answer him?

'Why on earth did I just do that?' Melissa asked herself, first she bumps into someone and now she just embarrassed herself in front of all these teens. Can her day get any worse?

"There's the spirit. Now welcome all of you to the UA Exams where today you will show you have what it takes to be part of UA. The exam is broken up into two parts. The first part is the written exam and you all are taking that first. Once your written exam is done you will take the second part which is the heroic exam. In the heroic exam you all are doing battle against our homemade villain bots." Images of the villain bots came on the large monitor giving everyone a clear view of what they will be up against once the exams start.

"There are four types of villain bots, there is the 1-pointer, 2-pointer, 3-pointer, and finally the 0-pointer. The 0-pointer will get you points so be on the lookout for that. The name of the game is to rack up as many points before the time runs out. When time is up the alarm will sound bringing the end of the UA exams. Any questions?" There was one that stood and he had some questions. From what Izuku saw it was a tall teen that had glasses and a face that looked much like a pro he knows he's seen before.

"What kind of weapons will the villain bots have?" The teen asked and Present Mic decided to answer him.

"Paintballs," Mic answered casually and the teen nodded his head sitting down. After Mic saw that there would be no more questions he sat down and papers began to be handed out. When Izuku got his paper he began it right away. Question after question was answered with ease, Izuku was smart, he got straight A's in his school and graduated with honors. The test will be no problem for him and the same could be said with the girl he saved from falling.

Melissa's father and mother were geniuses, both are the world's greatest engineer, inventor, and scientist. They were a dynamic duo when it came to science and all their traits got passed down to their daughter. So her doing this is like asking her to make an engine at the age of six, meaning it's easy.

When Izuku completed his test the teen got up and headed down the stairs, he didn't need to check it over. He memorized all the answers when he studied to begin and with photographic memory he was not forgetting it anytime soon. When Izuku arrived at the desk, his uncle was sitting in the chair with his feet up. The super soldier arrived in front of the desk and put his papers down, Present Mic looked at him with a knowing smirk and Izuku just rolled his eyes. He soon left heading to the lockers to change for the heroic exam.

As he was walking Melissa saw him heading to the tunnel, she was surprised that he got his test done so fast, even though she had to check it over. 'I guess he is really smart.' Melissa thought, she looked over her last question to make sure that it was the right answer. When she was confident in the answer she got up and handed in her test.

Izuku was nearly finished changing in his training clothes, the teen had on his black sweats with a green tank top on. On his feet were his sneakers, all he needed now was his weapons. Izuku grabbed his duffel bag and unzipped it, the first thing he grabbed was a blue hilt, but the thing is that there was no blade. Izuku twirled the hilt and put it to his side, he then grabbed two of his wrist gauntlets.

The gauntlets were blue in color and he put both of them, when they were securely on his skin the soldier powered them on. All systems were green, when he saw that he nodded his head, everything was a go. His left wrist gauntlets carried one of his weapons and the right carried his shield. The last piece was his belt, his blue utility belt that he wrapped around his waist, once locked in place the teen was ready to go.

He made fists and everything is how it should be, now all he had to do now was wait. It would be sometime before the final exam began, many others were still finishing their test. While he waited he might as well relax, the teen walked to the waiting area for the test and when he got there he leaned on the wall. Izuku reached into one of his pockets for his belt and took a small case, when he opened the case it contained small air pods.

Izuku put the air pods in his ear and using his gauntlet he began to play a song from his playlist of Loffi. The song of choice was Crust by Flying Lotus, something to help him relax. Izuku leaned his head on the wall and began to close his eyes, it shouldn't be long before the test started.

Melissa finished getting dressed for the heroic exam, she was wearing an all blue sweat suit and was now looking at herself in the mirror. This was it, the final moment had come and now it was time for her to take the heroic exam. Melissa took a deep breath while staring at herself in the mirror, she was trying to stay calm, but her efforts were not working. Her heart was racing and it felt like it would come out of her chest and could blame her. Her newly given quirk had not activated yet and the moment of truth had finally arrived.

'Uh...I don't know if you guys can hear me, but it would be great if you could give me access to the strength of One For All so I could pass the test. No...heh, guess not.' Melissa used humor to help herself, but it did not work. In fact it only made things worse for her. What if the past users say no to her? What if she fails the exam? What if she fails her uncle? What does she do now?

Melissa shook her head, she can't be thinking like this. Her way of thinking is not how a hero is supposed to be. A hero is supposed to be strong and able to face danger unafraid, they were able to do their job and save as many people as they can with a smile. Melissa put on her best All Might smile and nodded her head, she then headed on her way out to the waiting area.

The ninth user of One For All arrived in the waiting area to see only one person there and it was the guy who saved her. Melissa turned off her smile and looked at Izuku curiously, she just saw him sitting on the ground with his back leaning on the wall. She could see the white air pods in his ear, she would assume that he isn't even listening. Melissa looked to the entrance and started to see more people from earlier start to come in meaning that the tests were almost concluded with.

Melissa wasn't sure if he was asleep or not, all she knew is that he looked so peaceful. 'He has to be asleep. I better go wake him up.' Melissa concluded that Izuku was indeed asleep, so she made the decision to go wake him. The girl genius walked over to Izuku, but before she even went to him she was stopped when an arm grabbed onto her shoulder.

Melissa curiously looked back to see the same teen that asked the question to Present Mic was the one behind her. "I don't think you should be distracted." Melissa took offense to that, he was insinuating that she was trying to distract him and all she was trying to do was wake him.

"I was just going to wake him." Melissa said hardly as she snatched her arm free from the hand of the taller teen. Taller teen pointed to Izuku which caused Melissa to look back and she saw him roll his neck, it seems he wasn't sleeping at all. The super soldier had opened his eyes, he looked around to see that the room had grown tighter in space. It was almost time for the show to start.

Izuku got up and rolled his shoulders, he allowed his pods to stay in his ears. There was no point in taking them out, besides it would make the heroic exam a little bit more fun if he had some of his music and right now he was jamming to his Loffi.

Melissa studies his outfit, he had a lot of gear on him unlike the rest of the students she saw. She wonders if he was quirkless and all the equipment that he had was to help make up for his powerless state. Before Melissa could put more theories together on the handsome teen the lights cut off and everyone turned their eyes to the large monitor that hung on the wall.

Present Mic's face came on screen and he gave the final words before the doors opened. "Listen up boys and girls, the final ten seconds are about to begin and I'm just here to remind you of the rules. Score as many points as you can and you are freely allowed to use your quirks to their full potential. All right, folks. Good luck!" The screen went black and now the countdown came on starting the number 10.

The countdown had begun and Izuku looked at his wrist gauntlet, it was time for a change of pace. He quickly went to his rock playlist and played some heavy metal that would fit mood. When the song began to play he looked up to see that the clock was 3...2...1. When the countdown hit zero the monitor shutoff and the doors opened soon revealing a light that one would see at the end of the tunnel.

Everyone soon saw the mock city and its amazing glory. It looked like a real life city with cars, open and wide streets, and skyscrapers like buildings. They were still in shock at the moment that only one of them realized that it was time to move.

Izuku dashed out of the tunnel and made his way into the mock city, he knew that time was of the essence and he was not going to wait and gawk around. "Looks like moving one understood the rules. Get moving!" Mic gave the students a friendly reminder, his nephew did not wait, but then again Izuku was a different breed than the rest of those kids.

The teens in the tunnel now all began to run out using their abilities, but the first blood belonged to Izuku already. He was racking points far quicker than anyone actually believed, he was a man on his mission. A man with a task and like his name sake he will complete it.

Izuku was already in the city while the students were still standing, if they didn't want to hurry up that would be their choice. He will be racking up points and the first one was already in front of him. The teen saw the 1-pointer right in front of him and ran faster towards it. While running the teen grabbed the hilt that held no blade in his left hand and gripped it tightly, soon an orange/sliver blade popped out from the point of entry where the blade was supposed to be attached to.

With the sword now in hand Izuku jumped in the air and when he came down he took the 1-pointer mechanical head right off. The cut was swift and precise, no extra energy was needed for his sword to cut through the metal like butter through a knife. The head crashed to the ground while the body collapsed to the side. One down and many more to go before the day is over with.

The super soldier looked around to see that there were plenty more bots to go. Izuku made a fist with his right hand and summoned a silver circular shield from the gauntlet. The teen now had both his sword and shield in hand, and it was time for him to have some fun. Izuku dashed forward in front of him with two 2-pointers. The scorpion like villain bots locked their optics on the soldier, but Izuku was far too quick for them. Their weapons never stood a chance against him.

For one moment they had their optics locked onto the teen, but then they lost him. Izuku was gone and his location was above. He went in the air and came down on top of the first 2-pointer, the teen drove his sword into the head causing a short circuit to happen and using his right arm he tossed the shield that sliced the second 2-pointer tail.

The tail came crashing down on top of the villain bot and Izuku just jumped off the one he was on. When he came down to the ground he sheathed his blade at his side and then raised his hand to catch his shield that ricochet off a telephone pole.

That was 5 points already and now he came point number 8. Izuku looked up when he saw something blocking his sunlight. The teen turned around to see the large 3-pointer, the weapons were trained on him and Izuku began to move. The teen moved to the side just as the weapons were being fired, he was circling it and trying to get behind it.

When the super soldier got behind the large machine he jumped and grabbed the back, he then pulled himself up where he was looking directly below the head. Izuku grabbed some marbles from a pocket on his belt and dropped at least four down below. When the marbles made impact with the head they exploded and caused small explosions that destroyed the head.

The machine stopped moving when the head was gone and Izuku jumped down as he began to walk away. The machine behind him exploded in a fireball and he turned around to look at it. "Huh, much more use than I thought." Izuku commented, but he soon moved on from it and began to look for more villain bots, he found them when he got surrounded by five 1-pointers.

Izuku figured that this was a better time than any to test out this move, the move that belonged to his sister. Izuku tapped his left gauntlet and it soon lit up with green color, soon a payload of green darts flew out the device on his wrist. When the darts hit the machines they caused them not only short circuit from the electricity that they carried, but also caused them to exploded from the power that of their electricity

Izuku watched all five of the machines that originally had him surrounded exploded like a stick of dynamite. It was a circle of destruction that had nothing but machine parts and Izuku was right in the center of it. It would seem that his new device worked and he successfully copied the Widow Bite, a move that belonged strictly to his sister the Black Widow.

'The Widow's Bite is something that I can use once, I don't have my suit on me to reload so I will have to rely on my belt from here on out.' Izuku had copied many moves from many people and that included his siblings. Their weapons are also in his arsenal. Question is now, will he be able to stop them by using their own techniques against them?

Izuku empty the clip that carried the payload of darts, he soon began to move out to find more bots. He knew that Shota was watching this, he wondered what his guardian was thinking right now.

Observation Deck

"You're kid sure is putting on a display of skill." Vlad King was very impressed by what he saw from Izuku, he already had his vote and the test wasn't even close to being over yet. He just watched take off three heads off with the shield that he was carrying around.

"Was that Guardian's move?" Snipe asked aloud, the move that Izuku just pulled looked eerily familiar to Guardian or maybe he was imagining things.

"It's a long story?" Midnight simply said, there was no point going into detail about Izuku's ability to copy everyone that he sees. She has no doubt that the footage will speak for itself.

"Well this year's kids seem to be very talented with Shota's kid leading the way." Vlad King spoke aloud once again all while the father of said teen was sitting down next to his boss. All the pros in the room looked at the various screens that showed what could be their hero class for the next few years. There were some automatic yes already, but the exam was not over yet. The final test had yet to begin.

While everyone including Shota was looking at the different students one pro in particular had his eyes on one child. All Might watched as Melissa evaded yet another villain bot, she has yet to destroy one. Right now Melissa is in dead last for zero points, her access to One For All has not yet happened. He knows this for a fact, if it were true then he would have felt the spark, the flame ignite. But it is not over yet and from the looks of it the final test was about to begin.

"Shota, begin the final test." Shota nodded his head and got up to input some commands on the computer. When the commands were in the locks began to be unlocked and the doors opened for the 0-pointer to be deployed. The final test to see if the children down below have what it takes to be heroes was now beginning.

Melissa was freaking out, she had not scored a single point and not only that the moment she had seen the villain bots try to attack she had run. She was scared. How could she be a hero if she was scared to take on a machine? She wasn't like the others in this exam, they were taking bots left and right.

Soon had a feeling that her journey to become a hero was coming to a short end, her uncle had made the wrong choice and she had let him down. Worst of all she had let herself down. All her life she talked about being a hero, but alas this life wasn't for her. She was not ready to be a hero like she originally thought.

Loud rumbling could be heard in the mock city and it made all the action stop as all eyes turned to the direction of where the rumbling came from. Melissa, like everyone else, turned her blue eyes to the direction only to widen them when she saw the large and moving 0-pointer.

The largest machine of all the villain bots was moving right towards her and the rest. All of the students that had gotten their points already had begun to make their way back to the starting tunnel. Melissa was about to do the same, but she stopped when she heard someone cry out for help.

"Help!" Melissa stopped her movement, she quickly turned her head to see the brown haired girl that she sat next to during the test trapped under a debris. Melissa bit her bottom lip. She should just leave this to the people that have powers. I mean what good could she do? But something happened to her, her body began to take over and much like the time she charged in to save a little boy inside a burning building she charged forward.

Melissa didn't know what she was doing, but she doesn't think she can stop even if she told her body to do it, most likely would not follow orders. She arrived at the sight where the girl was trapped and saw that her leg was pinned. Melissa tried to move the large piece of machine, but it was not budging. She looked up to see that the 0-pointer had arrived, it's large shadow had casted itself over the two girls. Melissa gritted her teeth, it was now or never. It was time for her to take the leap of faith.

Melissa made a fist with her right hand and unknowing to the girl the others, her predecessors answered her call. All Might felt for a moment, but he knew what happened. The fire of One For All has finally been lit by Melissa and now it was her time to carry the flame. Melissa's entire right arm had red streaking glowing all over it, the sheer power ripped the jacket that she was wearing apart.

Her left also glowed as well, she didn't know what was happening, but she didn't question it. All she did was jump which made her take off like a rocket. The speeding bullet that was now Melissa was heading right towards the face of the 0-pointer and when she finally arrived she cocked her fist back and let the machine know her strength.

"Detroit Smash!" Melissa punched the 0-pointer in the face which nearly destroyed it, the armor on the machine was destroyed and crushed. The circuits inside of it were now loose and sparking, it had stopped moving and losing control of itself just from one single punch. Melissa had a gobsmacked look on her face as she continued to look at her work. She had done it and destroyed the zero pointer, but now she had a harder part. She was falling and falling fast.

Melissa was skydiving down and she had no control over herself, she had lost a hanging arm and leg meaning that both were probably broken and the only good arm she had left was her left arm. She didn't know what she was about to do, but she had an idea. Melissa channeled the power of One For All once again into her left and the red streaks started to appear once again, she would have to time this right if she wanted to survive.

'Hope this works.' Melissa silently prayed to whomever that was listening and lucky for someone was for they sent a super soldier to save her. Melissa before she made impact with the ground was caught out of the sky and everyone that was watching widened their eyes beyond belief. They were already big enough as it is, but now they saucers because they just saw someone catch another human out of the sky like it was nothing.

Melissa didn't feel her body on the ground, instead she felt soft but yet hardened hands. She opened her eyes to see that her savior was none other than Izuku who was looking down at her with a curious expression.

"That's two for two I guess." Izuku jokes, meaning that he saved her from falling twice now. Melissa was too tired to really comment back, but she did save one word that Izuku will remember.

"My...hero." Melissa's eyes closed after that and Izuku sighed, he looked at her at her damages and saw that she had broken arm and leg. Like everyone else he saw the display that she put on by destroying the zero pointer and honestly he was quite impressed. He doesn't think that he has ever seen power like that before.

Izuku got up with Melissa's body still in his arms, he carried her tired girl like a princess and began to walk back to the entrance. He will let Recovery Girl heal her, her damages were bad, but she would live. 'Wonder what your name is girl?' Izuku wondered to himself as he looked back at the girl, she seemed very familiar and that made him even more curious about her.

"Now that was...pretty awesome." Present Mic said aloud and many of the occupants in the room could agree. All of them were impressed by the heroic action of Melissa, she may not have scored in attack points, but she did earn a great many rescue points. The amount was more than enough to get her into UA there was no question about it, but everyone knew who was leading the pack.

Later

Izuku was outside, he was heading towards his bike and about to make his way home. "Hey!" Izuku stopped moving when he heard who the hell was calling him and he got his answer when he saw Melissa running towards him. The teen looked at her with a blank expression as she arrived at him.

"Hey wait, before you go I just want to thank you. Thanks for saving me." Izuku shrugged his shoulders, it was a big deal, but to Melissa it was everything. She could've gotten seriously hurt if not worse if Izuku didn't come to save her.

"No need to thank me." Izuku told her as he began to put on his helmet, but Melissa was not done yet. She didn't even get the name of her savior and she was not going to let that happen. Melissa was not going to end this day not knowing the name of the man that saved her life not once, but twice.

"What is your name?" Melissa asked just as Izuku got on his bike, the teen looked at her with his green eyes. He figured that she could know that info, they could be classmates someday in the future.

"Izuku," He just told her his first name, there was no need to tell her anymore. She hasn't earned that much trust from him yet, but either way Melissa was fine with it. The blonde American girl just smiled and nodded her head. Now it was only fair that Izuku knew her name as well and when heard he got hit with a jolt of shock. Just as the teen put down his black visor on his helmet Melissa told him her name.

"My name is Melissa, Melissa Shield." Izuku stopped what he was doing, his body became rigid when he heard that name. That name brought many images to his head, a scene with many dead bodies, his older brother beside him and a woman with blonde hair dead on the ground.

Melissa saw the change in body language and called him out on it, making sure that he was alright. "Hey, is everything alright?" Izuku looked at her through his helmet and he was glad that he brought it because if he didn't have Melissa would see him with a look of guilt on his face.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Listening I gotta get going." Izuku didn't even wait for a goodbye, no he just started his bike and began to take off. Melissa watched him go disappointed that they couldn't talk more, but what she got it seemed like he really needed to go.

Izuku was currently speeding through the streets, he was not stopping for anything and that included red lights. The teen was couldn't get the image out of his head right now, he couldn't get her face out of his head. Melissa, her blonde hair, her eyes, her face, he knew where it seemed familiar. It belonged to her mother. His older brother killed Melissa's mother.

To Be continued
