Chapter 1 - Assembling The Monsters

(Castle Dracula, base of Mt. Fuji)

Count Vladislaus Dracula, lord of the vampires, master of evil, and king of darkness, sat upon his black throne, his magical staff in hand.

He looked at his appearance in the reflection of the scepter. Something that he wouldn't have been able to do in the past. His new powers gave him a few new advantages, such as being able to see himself once again.

He remembered his hair being longer, able to be kept in a ponytail, with a forty-year old face that had seen many wars. Yet still a dignified appearance. Now his hair looked shorter, with a slightly younger face in his 30s, as well as what might be considered more handsome than before.

(AN: His appearance is now more like Luke Evans from Dracula Untold, but he is the Dracula from Van Helsing)

Regardless to his appearance, Vlad Dracule was back amongst the living. And his new reign of evil was about to begin. And in his hands was the key to his new rise.

The Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown had been lost for thousands of years, yet after all that time, it still retained it's powers, like it was powered by Infinity Stones. It had been found only twice, by Dracula himself and by a disreputable 'art' collector. He had used it once before to take over the world, before his untimely demise. Retrieving it a second time had been easy enough. The collector had been a human after all.

The staff looked like the Greek God Hermes' caduceus. It had seven golden serpents entwined together, each mouth holding a jewel of a different color. Its grip has a transparent quality-like crystal and emits a bluish white light.

It was a weapon of the highest order, capable of high feats of magic that even the Sorcerer Supreme and the Ancient One were incapable of. The seven gemstones in the Staff's snake mouths are all divine-class artifacts, with the elemental alignments of Sun, Moon, Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Time. The staff possessed the ability to use each of the spells sealed within each one of the seven gems, created by the great sorcerer Ainz Ooal Gown himself. Much like the Infinity Gauntlet, the individual stones are quite powerful, but together are devastatingly more so.

It was this fantastic power that enabled Dracula to take over the world under the noses of the heroes and villains of the day.

He was master of the world, right up until he was defeated, once by the heroes of Earth, and then again by the heroes once more.

And both times they had been because of him. The insipid webslinger called Spider-Man.

But Spider-Man was dead, and he was alive. What's more, is that he was now in another dimension. A dimension free of superheroes, and supervillains.

He laughed at how that fool, Victor Von Doom, had attempted to steal the power of the staff from him several times. Like the times he had tried to acquire the Infinity Stones. He had taught that armored despot a lesson several times over.

And also that red-skinned Nazi with no nose, who once held a cosmic cube, and that blue-faced time-traveler who fought the Avengers, and even that overly cocky Asgardian-Frost Giant with the large horns on his helmet. All of them, and others, had tried to steal the scepter from him. But he had managed to evade/foil them, defeat them, even managed to kill one for the sake of convenience.

But now he had a new world to conquer. Naturally, he couldn't do it alone.

He held out the staff and tapped it on the ground several times.

Within a matter of seconds, a massive flow of energy, in the shape of various mandalas inscribed with unique and mystical symbols, appeared throughout his massive throne room.

A minute later, several unique and powerful individuals appeared.

The first was a large and powerful black-furred werewolf. He stood at least 7 feet tall, with a muscular build and large pointed ears. His eyes were red in color and his mouth hung open revealing his row of sharp teeth and his long red tongue.

Next was the Gill Man, who was a large and hulking brute, reminiscent of The Abomination, a.k.a. Emil Blonsky, but with gills on his neck, large wing-like ears and scales up and down his body.

Third was the Phantom of the Opera. Once a mere human with a psychotic personality, he had been turned into an evil wraith-like creature with various dark powers and special abilities. He was dressed in a steel opera mask, underneath a scarred face could vaguely be seen, a thick fur coat and a steel cane with a silver skull on the hilt.

Next to the Phantom was Griffin, the Invisible Man. Apart from being invisible, he had been given enhanced strength for his own advantage. He was dressed in a black coat and hat, just for the sake of being seen by everyone around him. He knew that Dracula could see him with or without his coat and hat.

Next to Griffin was Big Frank, a large and hulking walking corpse pieced together from various men and brought back to life using arcane magic and pseudo-science created by Dr. Victor Frankenstein. A large, hulking brute of great strength and durability, Frank was also capable of channeling electricity through his body, making him immune to electrical attacks, which make him stronger. He had black hair, pale blue skin and was dressed in black clothes, his most noticeable features being the bolts on his neck.

Besides Frank was Francine, The Bride. A tall and shapely woman with a rather lean build, Francine was created using opposing polarity, giving her similar abilities to Frank. She was tall with a large coif of black hair with a white streak through it, almost looking like lightning bolts, dressed in a white dress with bandages wrapped around her legs and arms. She had pale green skin and heterochromia eyes. Her left was red and her right was blue. The red eye could see in infrared and the blue eye had telescopic vision.

The next was Imhotep, the former high priest of Pharaoh Seti The First, condemned to an Egyptian curse that made him a walking disease with power over the sands, curses, strength and the ability to not die. He was wrapped heavily in tan bandages with a black robe around his shoulders. Beneath those bandages was a strong, yet shriveled walking corpse.

Next to Imhotep was Edward Hyde, a large, monstrously hulking brute wearing a torn tuxedo and top hat with a large cane in his overly, muscular gorilla-like hands. He had red hair and a mean twitch in his left eye. Like there was a scar keeping his eye from opening up completely.

Next to Hyde was a red and purple suit of samurai armor. It was empty, but seemed to be standing on its own. This was the cursed armor of Bishamon, a powerful samurai warrior who died in battle and was cursed to never rest. His armor, Hannya, was made by a master smith in the demon world of Makai. His sword, Onikiri, is said to get sharper when it 'drinks' the blood of humans. As of yet, it had no host/user.

Then there was Lord Raptor - the Undead Rock Star Zombie from Australia. With wild blue hair, pale gray skin, yellow eyes, a lean but athletic physique, pointed nails on his hands and feet, and a large mouth where his stomach should have been, Raptor was the king of zombies, given the power to create more zombies from humans using a special gas exuded from his belly.

Next was Huitzil - the Killer Robot. Bronze in color, standing approximately 7'3" tall, it possessed lasers, force fields, rockets, flamethrowers, ice beams, and is far quicker than he appears. He is also equipt with a flight and hover mode and is virtually indestructible.

Then there was Jedah Dohma - a high noble demon of Makai. Aristocratic and ruthless, Jedah has purple skin, red eyes, long blond hair, and dressed in a purple leather suit with bat-wings coming out his back and head. The weakest of the three high nobles of Makai, Jedah had allied with Dracula to create a new realm of evil magic and order. Under his rule.

Next was Morrigan Aensland - succubus queen of Makai, and one of the most powerful and sexiest creatures in either the human or demon realm. The adoptive daughter of Belial Aensland, Morrigan had little interest in ruling Makai and instead found the human world much more fun. Green haired, green eyed, with a shapely figure, and bat-like wings, she wore a black and purple skintight outfit that left nothing to the imagination.

Last was the Ghost Rider - a man named Renfield who was given hellfire powers by Dracula after he stole them from Mephistopheles / The Devil, the Ghost Rider became Dracula's assassin and bounty hunter. Dressed in black leather boots, pants, jacket and gloves, he also wore a chain around his chest that he used as a weapon. While in Ghost Rider form his body looks like a flaming skeleton while his regular body looked like a skinny, pale-skinned hunchback with a slightly disfigured face.

The only ones missing were his Brides: Verona, Marishka and Aleera. But... there were always other candidates.

"Welcome, my friends." Dracula spoke to his chief lieutenants.

The group was assembled in the elaborately decorated main hall of his throne room, standing in a semi-circle around his throne.

"Much time has passed, and though we have been defeated and beaten many times in the past, we remain alive, so to speak."

The group gave out a weak chuckle at his joke.

"We are in a new world. No power-hungry villains or righteous heroes to interfere. We will take this world. And we will do it... unimpeded."

"But, surely, this world cannot be completely defenseless." Morrigan asked.

"It has it's champions. Some have not yet awoken, and others are... more easily manageable. There are less champions of man in this world." Dracula said. "No Avengers. No Spiders. No mutants. No Defenders. No Sorcerers. No Midnight Suns."

The group looked at each other for several minutes, as if having a telepathic conversation with each other. Several of them were grinning widely.

"But we cannot be careless. We will need to start slow. One village at a time. One school at a time. And before anyone realizes it, we will have a foothold that cannot be removed."

The group was silent again for several minutes, before one of them spoke.

"So... when do we start?" Mr. Hyde asked.
