Chapter 19 Types of Duels

Raven was sitting alone at lunch, she was eating before she saw Ryu sit in front of her.

"Hey Raven."He said.

"Hey Ryu."She smiled."Hey where are the others?"

"They went to take care of some school work, so how are you doing?"He asked.

"I'm fine."She said.

"Nope."He said."I can tell your not."

"Okay fine, I can't anything without Headmaster Grimm trying to make me do evil."Raven said.

"Still your turning him into a chiken man was hilarious."They then both laughed."But you wanna know what I say."He lifts a fist up."Fight on, don't let them take control of you, fight the system and crush those that try and stop you."

She got surprised at his words."Wow, thanks."

She then felt someone tug on her skirt and she looks down to see Kotaro."Oh hello Kotaro."She picks him up and lets him sit with them.

"Looks like he couldn't be alone without me."Ryu said.

Kotaro sees Ryu's lunch and saw a bowl, he gets on the table and picks up the bowl before he falls down and it drops the soup on his head.

Raven holds back a laugh and Ryu wipes it off."It's okay, didn't taste good anyway."

Kotaro looks at Ryu and then he picks him up.

"You know, I don't know your a troublemaker or you just wanted to help sometimes."Ryu looks at Kotaro.

Kotaro looks at Raven, she got nervous and said:"Yes?"

"Birdy."He said surprising them.

"Well, her name is Raven, but really birdy."Ryu said and Raven blushes a bit.

"Pesky!"They then saw Hunter chase after Pesky, Pesky throws a acorn and it hits Ryu in the forehead making him grunt and Kotaro got shocked.

"Little rat."Ryu rubs his head.

Kotaro was so scared."Hit... Big bro."

MASSIVE SHOCK!

"Kotaro, it didn't hurt at all, your big bro is stronger than that."Ryu smirks at him.

"Oh he's so adorable."They then saw Holly come to see Kotaro, she then picks him up."Don't worry, big bro wasn't hurt that bad."

Raven frowns since she was being to close to Kotaro and that means she would be too close to Ryu.

"Well, I'll be taking Kotaro."Ryu takes him back."Let's go Raven."

"Oh sure."She smiled and they went away together.

They walked around the school and Raven asked:"Hey Ryu how is the spirit world?"

"Oh the world of duel monsters, of course, but it isn't just one world, it's in fact eleven dimensions."He said.

"What?!"She got shocked and Gale appears next to her and nodded.

"There are many dimensions that duel monsters live, some of the bad ones live in places like the dark dimension, theres also the desert world which I've been, Ice dimension and so on."Ryu said.

"I didn't even think theres so many worlds."Raven said.

"Well, duel monsters isn't just one world, there are even universes inside them and they are expanding."Ryu smiles.

Kotaro looks to the side and saw Micro-Cell making him smile.

"Wow."Raven was amazed."Say, when I saw the storybook of legeneds showed me a second destiny, it showed me a image of a dragon that was covered in shadows, but it had like a bird beak, do you know what it is?"

Ryu thinks about it and said:"Well I heard a rumor but I'm not sure, still I say go with that destiny and maybe you'll find out who it is."

"Yeah maybe."Raven smiled.

"Well race ya to the book end."He runs off.

"Hey!"She chases after him.

They then arrived at the book end at Hocus Latte, they had a drink and they were looking at Raven's deck.

"Your making it well but you should use more fire power."Ryu said.

"Well what do you suggest?"Raven asked.

He smirks and takes out two cards from his deck box and gives it to her, she takes them and saw they were Dark Grepher and Armades, Keeper of Boundaries.

"Really, these cards?"She said.

"Yeah, I think they will work well with your deck, even more when you find that dragon."Ryu said.

"Thanks."Raven smiled.

Kotaro was looking at Ryu and he saw him looking at him."Alright alright."He takes out another card."Here."He gives it to Kotaro.

Kotaro saw it was Thunder Sea Horse."Ohhh."He has stars in his eyes.

"That monster will work wonders with you deck."Ryu said.

"Well he seems to love you so much."Raven said.

"Kotaro always comes to my side when he has the chance, I can barely leave him without him following me, which is why I had to ask my friends to look after, my uncle had to watch over him when I came here."Ryu said.

Raven got confused, his uncle.

"Well anyway."Ryu said."We should have enough cards, the only way I've been getting these cards are from the spirit world, normaly back home we can buy a booster."Ryu said.

"You buy the cards."She got surprised.

"Yup, of course I'm not those crazy people that put they're houses for sale just to get a rare card."Ryu said making her chuckle a bit.

"Is that a true story?"She asked.

"Maybe."He said.

"Okay, say anymore games that I don't know about, I know Duke showed Dungeon Dice Monsters and you showed Action duels."Raven asked.

"Well theres my favorite Turbo Duels, which I will show you guys later, theres also Deck Masters."Ryu said.

"What's that?"Raven asked.

"Think a normal duel but with a monster that's behind you with a specific effect for a deck masters, I'll tell that rule later, theres also Duel Coaster, but that was a gimmick, like the one field that makes duelist sky dive."Ryu said.

She got surprised."Okay."

"Oh, I almost forgot, back in the older times there was a time where they played duel monsters without duel disk."Ryu said and he puts a hand on his chin."It was called the Perfect Rule, it was a crude but interesting way, it's kinda like deck masters but way different, like Deck Masters was poor mans version of it, there you have a deck leader that represents you and can give boosts depending on it's rank, theres also a board you play on."

"Like Dungeon Dice Monsters?"Raven said.

"Kinda, instead of making a path the field is already made with specific squares that either power up or decrease your monsters powers, theres also ones that can destroy and stop you from moving."Ryu said.

"Wow, did you ever play it?"She asked.

"Once, when I was in the world of duel spirits, they thought it would be good if I trained using it."Ryu said."But hey better safe than sorry."

"Yeah."Raven said.

"But let's go back to show you more ways to duel."He said and she nodded.

They then spent more time together and Raven was having fun since when you need someone to teach you how to duel it's Ryu.
