They stay like that for a while and fall asleep at some point, when Obi-Wan wakes up he is buries under people he cares for.
He tries not to smile, there shouldn't be any reason to smile today not after what he learned but its not often he gets the change to hug the boy who is both his brother and son.
The beeping of his comm pulls Obi-Wan out of his sleepily mind, 5 missed comms from the Council and a dozen others for various concerned friends, including Cody and Rex, both asking after Anakin. And 6 hours have passed. Damn the Council is not something that can wait.
He carefully removes himself from the cuddle pile and walks as quietly as he can to his room to call them back.
"Master Kenobi" Yoda appears as a blue holo on his wrist with Mace stand behind him, "Search party we almost send for you, take you so long what has?"
"Sorry Master" he nods "Anakin uh..." he can't say pulled them into a cuddle pile and they fell asleep, "It took longer than I thought it would" he says instead.
"And?" Mace presses "Was that paper right?"
Obi-Wan nods gravely, "I'm afraid so."
Yoda's ears drop, "Sorry for this I am, seen it we should have."
Mace frowns at the news "The Coruscant Police are calling jurisdiction. They want to speak with Knight Skywalker and have a healer check him" he pauses "Kenobi did Skywalker tell you when it stopped? And if not when he was raped last?"
Obi-Wan grimaces at that word, "No we didn't get that far. Ani fell asleep after our... discussion, he was emotionally exhausted" he says truthfully, Anakin may not of shown it as much outwardly but he was a mess in the Force throughout their conversation.
"I think it happened yesterday" Ahsoka's voice cuts in.
He turns seeing the young girl in his doorway with a frown on her face.
"Think that why do you Padawan?" Yoda frowns.
"He went out yesterday right after we got back from the front" she explains, "Said the Chancellor wanted to have lunch. He came back late and I thought it's be funny to surprise him" she admits sheepishly, "So I jumped down from the ceiling onto his shoulders when he walked in," she frowns worriedly, "He flinched. Told me after that I surprised him and I believed it, til this morning anyway."
Obi-Wan puts and hand on the girls shoulder, "It is alright young one, you had no way of knowing."
"Yeah I guess" she huffs, "So are we beating the Chancellor up?" she questions hopefully.
Mace shoots her a look, "As you well know Padawan Tano revenge is not the Jedi way."
Disappointment rolls off her and she visibly tires not to roll her eyes, "Of course Master."
"Once awake healer Skywalker will see" Yoda nods his head.
"Huh?" Anakin's sleepy voice calls as he appears in the door, his wife behind him. "What am I doing?" he yawns, dried tears clear on his face.
"Knight Skywalker" Yoda nods to him, "Doing how are you? Difficult today is for you."
"Um" Anakin grimaces "Okay" he shrugs stiffly not wanting to talk "What's happening?" he asks again.
"Skywalker I'm not sure what Kenobi has told you but there is a lot of public attention on this" Mace speaks almost softly.
Ani blinks "No he didn't tell me that, he said that uh it was in the newspaper though."
"People are pretty upset" Padmé tells him softly, "There's a large crowd of angry protesters outside the Senate, and a smaller one outside the Temple."
"No" he shakes his head, "This is none of their business! This is my business" he lets out a breath "I never wanted anyone to know" he whisperer staring down at his feet.
Obi-Wan puts a hand on his shoulder, "I understand that Ani and you're right, this should not be the public's business. But because both of you are such well know figures they think it is their business and they won't back down on that any time soon."
"But they are on your side" Padmé adds, "Right now they hate him, they are pissed at the Jedi for not protecting you. The attention might be annoying and knowing you the looks of pity will make you want to throw something, but you have to remember that they are on your side and because of all this attention we know now and you never have to be alone with him again, he will never touch you again."
A mix of conflicted happiness rolls off him in the Force.
"Skyguy?" Ahsoka presses.
He sighs, "I-I'm, I don't know... I hate that" he grimaces, "I'm glad I don't have to do it again, but...he's my friend, I don't want him to get in trouble."
"How he wants you to feel that is" Yoda frowns reminding then that the two Council member are still on holo call, "Groom you Palpatine did, make you believe he cares he did. But care he does not, use you all he wants."
"No!" Anakin protests, "He does care about me! He's like Father to me, I need him!"
"You don't need someone who hurts you Ani" Padmé say quietly.
Anakin looks away.
Mace sighs, moving on "Skywalker. Your Padawan told us she believed the Chancellor had raped you as recently as yesterday, is she right?"
Anakin flinches at the word rape but nods, not still not looking at anyone.
"Alright. I know you probably had a shower but there might still be something to find, I want you to go straight to the Healing Hall, the Coruscant police are handling this so one of them will meet you there and do your interview." he looks between the people around Anakin, "Kenobi you can go with him, Padawan Tano your too young for this, go do your homework or something, Senator... don't know why you are here at all. You can go home" with that said he ends the call.
Obi-Wan frowns, Mace knows as well as he does that Anakin is involved with the Senator and today is not the day to continue acting otherwise.
Padmé frowns worriedly looking between her husband and were the hologram was "But-"
"It's okay Padmé" Anakin cuts in quickly, embarrassment rolling off him "I'm sure you've got a lot of work to do, you don't need to be here for this, neither do you Master, I'll be alright."
Obi-Wan frowns, "Ani" he speaks gently "Are you simply saying this because you are embarrassed at the thought of the exam and us witnessing it?"
Anakin turns red, "I-yes" he sighs looking away from them.
Obi-Wan smiles understandingly, putting a hand on his former Padawans shoulder "We can wait outside the exam room if you prefer Padawan?"
He nods, still not looking at anyone.
Ahsoka looks between the three of them, "Can I-"
"No" Anakin cuts in shaking his head, "I agree with Master Windu, Snips, you're too young for this stuff."
"I could ask Master Plo to help you with your Ataru forms" Obi-Wan offers the distraction before she can protest.
"Fine" she pouts, crossing her arms.
