Chapter 2 Raphtalia

Hikaru and his group walk through the city, they heard people whisper.
"Can you believe that the princess would try that."
"She's the disgraced one, we should have seen that."
"Looks like the lie has backfired on her."Mai said.
"Yes, thanks to Sari's help."Hikaru said.
Sari nodded and eats the banana he had.
"Still she won't give up no matter what."Yuji said.
"Let her come, i'll destroy all her plans."Hikaru smirks.
They went to the weapons shop and Erhard saw them."Hey there kid, I saw what happened, who would have thought the Royal members would fake that crime."
"Well it didn't matter since I was smarter than her, so got any good weapons for my crew."Hikaru said.
"Of course, I can even help your monkey with it's weapons."Erhard said.
Sari got happy and shows his weapons.
"Okay I got enough from my from the grind I did, Malty even tried to steal from me, but she didn't count me putting up traps."Hikaru said.
"Smart move."Erhard said.
"Yeah."Hikaru nodded.
After they bought two swords and crowbow for Mai they went out, they then saw a girl inside of cage and she has ears and a tail.
Hikaru looks at her and she looks away.
"Oh hello there Shield Hero."He saw a guy with glasses and top hat."It seems your interested in this slave."
"What?!"Yuji and Mai said but Hikaru made a signal to keep quiet.
"Well interesting, I heard of these Demi humans, so how much for her?"Hikaru points at the girl.
"Very good choice, also that creature you have is very interesting."The guy looks at Sari.
"He's not for sale."Hikaru said.
They bought the girl and she was wearing better clothes thanks to Mai helping her.
"So what's your name?"Yuji asked.
"R-Raphtalia."She said.
"I don't like that slave brand but we'll figure something out."Hikaru said."Still let's go eat, can't let her fight in a empty stomach."
Raphtalia got surprised and they went to a bar, they saw a sign that said they don't serve Demi humans and Sari hits it away.
"I see no sign."Hikaru smirks and they went inside."Come on Raphtalia."She follows them.
"Welcome."The worker said and he saw Hikaru and the group."Oh the shield hero."
"The rapist."Another said.
"No you idiot that was a lie, are you still going off what the church says about him."
Hikaru sits on a table with his group."Hey we're hungry, so gives us something to eat."
"Of course."He said."But we don't-"
"What, theres some rules I don't know, you should out a sign then."Hikaru said.
"But there was."He said.
"Not when we came in here."Hikaru said.
The guy goes to check."What, what happened to sign."
"So are all of us going to get some food or not."Hikaru said.
"Well, I can't say something without proof."The guy goes to get some food for them.
Hikaru chuckles a bit and then came the guy with a bike tray of food for each of them.
Raphtalia looks at her plate and Hikaru said:"Go on eat."
She then takes off the flag and smiles.
"Don't eat that's paper."Mai said.
She then takes a spoon and tries a piece, she then cries since it was so good.
"Thank you so much master."She said.
"Please call me Hikaru."He said.
"Master Hikaru."She said making them groan.
"Fine whatever, so hope we're all ready we're going to grind."He said.
"But i'm not much if a fighter."Raphtalia said.
"Don't worry, we will have to start somewhere, you'll be ready in no time."Hikaru said.
They ate together before they went out to grind, many of those Balloon monsters came at them and they took them down with ease, Hikaru then changes his shield to orange surprising them.
"Oh yeah, by absorbing materials I can get new modes, I also got other ones like Leaf and grass."Hikaru goes to a pond and takes out a fish to get the fish shield.
"Well that's Hikaru for you."Mai said.
"Its not like I'm dumb, I know how to fight instead of those newbies, thinking they're so lucky that they have better classes."Hikaru said.
"What arrogance."Yuji said.
Raphtalia looks down and said:"I'm scared."
"Don't worry, everyone gets scared."Hikaru said.
They then arrived at a forest but then they saw many bandits come out, they had smirks on they're faces.
"Look what we have here,the Shield Hero's party they will find a good price."Leader said but then he got shot in the hand making him drop his sword.
They looked to see Hikaru with CariBlade and CariBlaster in his hands."What, did you think I won't have a actual weapon."
They got ready but the group attacked, Yuji slashes then back while Mai was shooting with her crossbow, Sari was hitting them back with her cymbals.
Raphtalia was looking scared before she saw a bandit come from behind Hikaru who was shooting at the others."Master Hikaru!"She takes out her sword and slashed at the bandit making blood splatter her.
Hikaru turns around and kicks the guy away before looking at Raphtalia."I was right saving you."She got stunned at his words since it made her happy.
They tied up the bandits and left then to rot while they went back.
"Raphtalia, I'm sorry to ask this but what happened to you before you became a slave?"Hikaru looks at her.
She cries and said:"I lost my parents a long time and they took me away."
He then hugs her surprising her."It's okay, no one will harm you ever again."
She hugs him and she felt so happy while the others smiles.
"Looks like he can be nicer."Mai said.
"Hey I'm nice."Hikaru points at her.
"Well yeah, but you like being with cute girls a lot."Yuji said.
"What, Carol and Diana, you gotta be kidding me."He said.
Raphtalia pouts at that.
Note: Raphtalia is here and they grinded more, also yes Hikaru can use more than just shield since he's the Ranger King.
