Chapter 3 First Wave

The group was camping outside and they woke up only for the rangers to get surprised at Raphtalia who was older and was smiling at them.
"Good morning Hikaru."She said.
"What, what happened to the cute kid Raphtalia."Hikaru said.
"Hey."She pouts."I'm no longer a kid."
"It seems she was older than what we thought."Yuji said.
"Well it be nice to have a girl around my age."Mai said.
Hikaru goes up to Raphtalia who smiles at him."Well, this is interesting, I'll have to get used to it first."
"Thank you."Yuji said.
"You have some control compared to that other pervert."Mai said.
"I can help you more if you want."Raphtalia said.
"Okay okay, how about we do some hand to hand training, the wave will soon start so it's best we train."Hikaru said.
"Right!"They all said.
They help Raphtalia with hand to hand combat since that's something she should learn then just using a sword.
Raphtalia blocks a punch before they heard a voice."Hey!"
They looked up a hill and saw a 11 year old kid wearing a white jacket and black shorts,, he has black hair and blue eyes, he had his arms crossed and was smiling.
The trio got stunned while Raphtalia was confused.
"Ken."The trio said.
"That's right, it's me the number 1 fan of Super Sentai, Ken."He poses before he trips failing down from the hill and crashes."Ow!"
Yuji and Mai helped him out."Idiot."
"What are you doing here, we told you to stay at Super hero high."Hikaru said.
"Come on, you guys need my help."He said."Together we'll make it faster."He then sees Raphtalia."Wow, so pretty."
"She's Raphtalia, she's our party member as you can say."Hikaru said.
Ken puts a hand foward."Hi I'm Ken Akari."
Raphtalia looks at the hand and shakes it."I'm Raphtalia."
"Do you even know what's going on?"Yuji asked.
"Kinda."He said and they almost fell to the ground.
"Okay, we'll explain and then we need to grind more for you."Hikaru said."Where's the bucket of bolts too?"
"Who are you calling a bucket of bolts!"They saw Beet J. Stag go up to them.
"Your supposed to babysit Ken."Mai said.
"I'm not a baby."Ken said.
"He ran to the ship when we heard the warning."J said.
"Well either way."Hikaru summons a cloak and puts it around J."There use that, we can't reveal the rangers to this world yet, so wear that until the time is right."
"Okay."He said.
They then grinded them both, thankfully unlike Raphtalia these two had experience so they were higher levels making it easier to grind.
They kept fighting more monsters as they did and they even got enough materials to go back to the city, they went to see Erhard and he looked to see them come in."Oh hey."He notices Ken."Don't tell me this little boy is your party member."
"He's small but he's strong."Hikaru said.
"I want a sword."Ken said.
Erhard chuckles a bit and said:"Well okay."He then saw Raphtalia."Hey you grew up so fast."
"Yeah it surprised us all."Mai said and Sari agreed.
"Well with so much help you'll be able to deal with the waves better."Erhard said.
"Yeah, they'll be in for a surprise."Hikaru smirks.
He's been checking the shield types he got, Slave User Shield and the second version of it, Pipe Shield, Rope Shield, Pickaxe shield and other low level shields that were easy to get.
They then went to the church when it was empty to check the hourglass, they saw the time and it was saying they had some hours.
"Look who's here."They looked to see Motoyasu and his group with Ren and Itsuki behind him.
Itsuki looks at Hikaru's group."You got more members, but why a child?"
"He's from my actual group too and he wanted to come."Hikaru said.
"I am Ken."He puts two hands up in peace signs.
"Well he seems excited."Itsuki said.
"But won't he be a problem?"Ren said.
"Trust me, he's good."Hikaru smiles.
Motoyasu goes up to Raphtalia and Mai."Oh my, your still as wonderful and who are you yoing lady?"
"Uh, Raphtalia."She got confused.
"Look if you need to be with someone that will protect you I-"He then got punched away by Mai.
"Motoyasu, how dare you do that!"Malty said to Mai.
"Or what bitch?"Mai said.
"Calm down sister."Yuji said.
"Wait, that's your sister?"Motoyasu was nervous while being on the ground.
"Yes, so if it wasn't for her I would have punched you instead."Yuji said.
"The idiot just made the older brother angry."Itsuki facepalms.
"Well if you excuse us we need to get ready."Hikaru said and they went out.
Ren looks at J who was wearing the cloak so he couldn't see who he is.
Later they waited near the Riyute village, they saw the skys turn purple with portals appearing, then many zombies and other creatures came out of the holes.
They fought many of them off before they saw many of the creatures go to the town.
"We have to protect it."Hikaru said and they ran towards it.
Many villagers were there with pitch forks and were ready to fight until zombies got bashed away, Hikaru lands in front of them and uses his shield's power."Air Strike Shield!"He makes a shield appear stopping a hord of hornets.
"Shield hero."Villager said.
"Go ahead and run, we'll deal with these guys."Hikaru said as his team came to help him out.
They ran and Hikaru then cuts a few of they're body parts and had his shield absorb theem getting the Inter-Dimensional shields of Locust, Zombie and Bee along with Bee Needle Shield.
"Getting they're body parts to make your shield stronger smart move."Yuji said.
"It's a better way to help."Hikaru said and he uses the Needle shield to stab a few making them stunned with the poison needle it had and the shield was bee like.
Mai shoots many arrows at the bees while Raphtalia slashes many zombies with her sword helping Mai, Ken was with J as they fought many of them with a few kicks and Ken slashes some of the bugs.
"Ew."Ken said.
"Don't let them dirty your clothes."J said.
Yuji kicks many of them and slashes the creatures while Sari was smashing them with his cymbals.
"Shield prison."Hikaru traps a group before Yuji slashes them."Now."He charges up before shooting a fire vortex at the monsters killing a big group.
The other three heroes were fighting against the Chimera and it roars at them, the goat head then looks at where the village is and could feel a great power along with the other heads.
"Okay let's finish it."Motoyasu said.
"Lightning spear."
"Wind Arrow."
"Crimson Blade."
They attacked but the Chimera jumps away heading towards the village surprising them.
"Where is it going?"Motoyasu said.
"It must be retreating to heal it self."Ren said.
"We need to stop it."Itsuki said but then more zombies came down stopping them.
Back at the village
Hikaru shoots many zombies with his blaster before using his shield to make another energy shield blocking many bees making many of the numbers little.
They then saw a large flare in the sky before a hellfire rains down.
"Stop that!"Hikaru said.
They the rangers then combined they're powers making a barrier stopping the hellfire saving the village.
Then many knights came with the commander smirking."Looks like we got them."
"Wrong."He then saw Hikaru and his team."We killed them, your attacked was stopped."
"What, how dare you Shield Devil."He said angry.
"Shield Devil, that's rich, if I remember you were the guy that was shitting himself the moment I twisted his arm."Hikaru smirks making him flinch.
"I should have showed you your place."He said.
Raphtalia was about to attack until Hikaru puts a hand on her shoulder."Calm down, theres no need."
"Yeah, listen to your master demi human."Commander smirks.
"Well I think you should listen yourself."Hikaru said.
They heard a roar and they looked back to see the Chimera heading towards Hikaru but it goes to attack the commander who got scared.
"Air Strike Shield!"Hikaru makes a shield stopping the attack before Sari hits the boss back."Look if you don't want to die then go into formation!"
Commander was scared and the other soldier with the scar."Phalanx formation."
"Uh yeah do that."Commander said and they went to formation.
Chimera charges at them and the group jump away as it attacks each of them, Hikaru blocks the snake tail with the shield before he kicks his blaster."Mai!"
She grabs it and shoots the creature from behind making it roar and look at her, she then jumps foward and Hikaru throws his blade at Yuji who grabs it slashing the creature with Raphtalia making them slash the creatures from both sides.
Sari comes down and hits the main head with the cymbals making it dizzy, Ken throws his sword and J takes it stabbing the creature from behind making it be stuck.
Mai jumps up and charges a lightning spell and shoots it at the sword making it conduct the attack while the creature raors, then Hikaru and the rest charged at it attacking it each before they went to the other side posing as the creature dies.
The other three heroes kept fighting the horde.
"We need to get to it and end this wave."Motoyasu said.
But then all the monsters died as the portals and sky turned back to normal surprising them.
"What just happened, the wave is over?"Motoyasu said.
"But we didn't kill the boss, so why?"Itsuki said.
Ren was just as clueless."Let's go check the village."
They ran towards the village but then stopped to see something that shocked them, they saw Hikaru standing on top of the defeated boss.
"Is that... Hikaru... And the chimera?"Itsuki said.
"That guy did it, he actually managed to kill the boss."Ren said.
"That's impossible, theres no way he could do it."Malty said.
"Yeah, theres no way a shield class could stop it."Motoyasu said.
"Let's go ask him."Ren said.
Hikaru was unlocking new shields from different parts of the Chimera, Chimera Meat Shield, Chimera Bone shield, Chimera Leather Shield and Chimera Viper Shield.
He smiles at the new shields and he saw his team recover materials from them."Come on, we can sell these things for more cash."
"We know, how about you get off your lazy ass and help us."Mai said.
"Mai!"Raphtalia said with Sari putting many parts inside the hatch of his body.
"Hey Hikari!"He looks to see the three heroes and group.
"Oh hey there, what happened I thought of the worst case scenerio."Hikaru said.
"What happened to the Chimera?"Itsuki asked.
"We killed it."Hikaru said.
"That's a load of crap, theres no way shield hero can kill that beast."Motoyasu said.
"Hey, the proof is right here."Hikaru points at the beast.
"Stop lying!"Malty said and she looks at the commander."Commander is must have been your knights that killed it right?"
"Well... No, it was the Shield Hero and his party, they worked together using magic."He said.
"What stop lying."Malty said.
"I could say the same thing for you."Mai passes by.
"Hypocrit."Yuji said.
"Poser."Raphtalia said.
Malty got angry at them and Itsuki said:"Hey you can't just steal someone elses kill Hikaru."
"Hey, it was either I kill it or innocent people die, because this isn't a game, it's real life."He jumps down."Also what was the rest of your team doing?"
"Well Myne was helping me."Motoyasu said.
"And the rest?"Hikaru said and he saw them being silent."I knew it, why didn't you at least send some of them here instead of just being there to watch, innocent lives were at risk."
Ren flinches at his words since he was right.
"Also did any of you tried to collect pieces from those grunts?"Hikaru asked.
"No."Itsuki said.
"Idiots, you could have gotten new weapons."Hikaru said.
They got stunned before they facepalmed at they're own stupidity, even Motoyasu has to agree with Hikaru.
"Okay, I'll get some for the next one."Motoyasu said.
"Do you have any Hikaru?"Itsuki asked.
"Got a bee needle."He said.
"Can I have it?"Itsuki was nervous.
"Sure why not, because I'm a nice guy."Hikaru throws it at him and he catches it.
The villagers came and they cheered for Hikaru, while the undead damaged the city they can rebuild it, the elder goes up to him and said:"Thank you Shield Hero for saving our village."
"Hey it's what true heroes do, stay out of trouble."He smiles.
"We will, thank you for everything we are in you debt."Elder said.
Raphtalia smiles at Hikaru and she was happy to be appart of his team.
Note:Heres the first wave, the Chimera went after Hikaru because he's the strongest so it saw him as a much bigger threat to be taken care off, because of that he got many different shields that he got from the body, now to answer those about the cannon it's simple, this story takes place some time later in the DC story, because theres only one Hikaru including his team and you'll have to be patient for that other story, also heres the sixth ranger you can say being Ken, similar to Kou he's a child but he has a Gokai Silver personality.
