Welcome to chapter 3 of Return of the Black Dread. Yea I know a large portion (if not all of you were disappointed in how the last chapter panned out, but trust me, it's all part of the plan I have for the story. Well, without further adieu; chapter three
As the dragon Lords of House Targaryen gathered once again, Naruto felt the scrutinizing gaze of his fellow dragon riders, including his own dragon for the matter. Clearing his throat Naruto began to speak, "Now, I know many of you seem disappointed, downright angry at what transpired between me and this… modern day king. However, I will now put those ailments to rest." he declared seriously, "I only gave into his requests to appease him, but I am not going to obey him. The secrets of the Freehold are ours and ours alone to give. None shall take them, and none shall have them. The only way they could ever get those secrets, would be to travel to the Freehold itself. However, from what has been heard, the Freehold is now the last place any man or dragon would want to try and live at. So, with that in mind, I have a plan."
Naruto looked around at as many of their faces as he could, "With this false kings demands for our knowledge, our techniques in forging our exalted metals, our history and who knows what else his mind concocted up in his grab for power, I decided that it is an excuse for him to try and subjugate us Targaryens. The mere fact he would go to war over a single woman who lay with a member of our house shows that he simply isn't strong enough to please her. Do not get me wrong, a man needs such strength in order to protect his own, but when a woman finds you lacking, then it becomes a problem. We will fly out to our old home, we will gather anything and everything of value we can find; be it books on magic or smithing and our history, metals and dragonglass to make our steel, gold or gems to make the wealthy envious. However, the world knows we have one form of treasure above all others. The dragon eggs that allow us to bond with the animal. That is what we really search for." he stated.
" I believe it was Robert Baratheon's idea to have us return to the Freehold in hopes of us potentially finding the old Hatchery which housed dozens of eggs that we hatched for our dragons. I doubt that any of the eggs survived the destruction, but knowing how stubborn a dragon is, the possibility of them still existing in their eggs is still there. We all know this, a dragon will wait for as long as it needs to in order to meet the one it is destined to bond with, a thousand years means nothing to a dragon who lives for centuries or millennia at a time." he stated.
Visenya shook her head, "It makes sense now why you caved so quickly. You must have felt Balerions energy and felt the man's desire to have us under his thumb. With the eggs of who knows how many dragon eggs that might potentially remain, he could have enough of his allies on the back of a large army of dragons and wipe us out. Our dragons are large, and they have incredible amounts of magic, but even then there is no telling just how many might still be there." she said as it clicked in her mind.
Naruto nodded, "That's why when we get there, we gather anything and everything related to dragons and we hide it away until we can use the knowledge we have in our heads that we grew up knowing to come out for the next generation of Targaryens born. With that said, I will be taking a wife soon, and I have already decided. I know many were expecting me to marry Catheryn Lannister before our strange transportation here, but things changed and now we have no way back to our era. As such, my immediate marriage to both Visenya and Rhaenys Targaryen of house Targaryen will help me secure my reign upon our return. I simply wanted to see what had happened to the city we had built up, and I am sorely disappointed by how it looks today." he growled.
"During the battle, I am sure many of you noticed how low Balerion and I flew while the departed Elecomun chased us on her former masters orders?" he asked and got a few nods from his bannermen, "Well, I can tell you, that in the time that I ruled and before our departure, the people of King's Landing as they call it now, did not live in a shit infested slob. They had clean streets, fresh air to breathe and enough jobs to fill the coffers a dozen times over. I don't know who, or what is destroying the legacy I had in mind for our house, but I will not let it stand anymore. We leave tomorrow at dawn, I will have a twenty man guard rotation throughout the night. The men as well as their dragons will perform a sweep of the area and swap out with the next shift every three hours There are enough of us that even if someone were to attack; which I highly doubt, we can easily fend them off with our dragons and get out if we have no choice." he declared.
"Well what about the current King's family, I'm sure you remember them, what are we going to do about that power hungry whore of a Queen and her spoiled brat of a son she calls a prince?" Rhaenys asked her brother.
Naruto snorted, "That boy is no prince. I don't know if you noticed, but there were a couple of men that held similar facial features to the woman and her son, and I can most certainly guarantee you, that the so-called Prince she is just so proud of, is actually not Robert's child and has in fact kept this a secret to hide her affair. In fact, I can point out the exact man that he resembles most. He wore the standard Gold Cloak armor and uniform and looked like a male version of the Queen, meaning they are more than likely siblings if not twins. She has broken several laws due to this illegitimate coupling." Naruto stated.
"So, not only is she a Queen, she is a incestuous cunt who is passing off her brothers bastard as the kings. That breaks the Bloodline Thievery law as well as the Marital laws in place by the Septon and not only that the man is a Gold Cloak. I couldn't help but notice that he stood extremely close to the Queen, showing he must be a Kingsguard. He has broken not only his oath of siring children, but protecting his King in general. I sense something dark in the makings brother." Visenya said.
"Pretty sure all three of us noticed it, but the ways of Magic are most certainly gone, which is why Robert Baratheon 'politely requested' us to go retrieve our knowledge on magic and who knows what else." Rhaenys stated blankly.
"The boy is clearly gripped with madness from his mothers coupling with her brother, but we of the Freehold have our magic we can use to dispel the curse when we have a child with a close relative be it mother-father or sibling. The fact the boy is so blatant with his desire to have Balerion burn his enemies so casually shows he has gone far beyond any normal coupling Sire. I assume that his true father is in fact not only the Queen's full blood brother, but as you stated before; her twin." a young woman his age said from the back of a green and tan dragon named (The woman not the dragon that is) Daenys after her ancestor who had foretold the destruction of Valyria. She looked almost identical to Visenya, except she had a solitary Green eye and a solitary blue eye which enhanced her beauty in his eyes.
Many of the Targaryen riders nodded in agreement with the woman's words. Those who had been close enough to encounter Joffrey and his family definitely saw the signs that had presented themselves in a mad claimed person, and sadly they were unable to do anything. Naruto sighed as he ran an armored hand through his hair, "See, this is why whenever someone swore the Oath of being a Kingsguard to me, I always had that person become a eunuch. The oath to the king is absolute, if they have children beforehand it's acceptable to think they would worry for their family, but after, the number of children born puts not only the King; I.E me, in danger, but the fact he has to worry about if his family is safe in case a war is going on. I do not mind if a person who swears loyalty to me has a kid beforehand, but to break the oath after, it only shows how cowardly a man truly is when it comes to loyalty." Naruto stated.
"Well, we all also know you usually preferred the men who swore loyalty to you to also be second or third born as they would never inherit anything, and in any case the firstborn ever died the second born immediately had to inherit those titles once held by the eldest born." Rhaenys pointed out.
Naruto nodded, "That is precisely why I denied so many of the high lords eldest sons when they wanted to swear loyalty to me as a Kingsguard. It not only caused problems if the eldest gave up all their titles, but if they were the sole child then who knows what would have happened if they were to perish in the midst of combat. There are too many variables, too many problems to solve." the man said, shaking his head at some of the less than desirable memories that popped into his head.
"Look, we can worry about the Mad Prince and his plotting mother later, we need to get sleep. I'm sure an opportunity will present itself for our House to reclaim what it rightfully owns, and when it does present itself, we can pounce just as quickly." Visenya stated abruptly.
Rhaenys nodded her head in agreement, "She's right, and it's also getting dark. Best get those scouts out while we still can and set up a patrol before those people get any ideas."
Naruto sighed, "Very well then. I'll set up the first shift, it'll consist of twenty men and dragons circling the countryside for three miles. The second and third will consist of the same, the final shift will hold ten men and dragons. I want the second shift to be led by Rhaenys and the third shift to be led by Visenya. Final Shift will be given by Visenya of her choosing. Some of us will manage to get a full night's sleep, some of us won't. Each shift is going to be three hours long, and will rotate from the southernmost portion of the camp towards the north. There will be no complaining if you get woken up in the middle of the night. I don't care if you have an erection blessed by the gods, you will do your shift, and when that shift is over then you can take care of it. Until then, get some rest. We have a long journey to complete." he commanded as hebegun to prepare himself for a semi-long night along with his men.

When dawn arrived, there had been no reports or sightings of anyone trying to approach their camp, most likely on orders by Robert but with that pompous itch of a wife of his, or that spoiled brat of hers there was no telling. When the entire remaining members of the Dragon Masters had awoken, Naruto immediately had them cook a quick and simple breakfast for themselves and hunted some stags and boars for the dragons as an early morning tide over before they set out for their destroyed home.
~XxX-Valyria-XxX~
Normally, when one thought of the old Freehold of Valyria, they would think of ruins that spread across a broken peninsula that had once been a prominent location of trade and economics as well as the leading faction of ruling Houses. The Fourteen Flames had eradicated all of that history, the culture and the landscape in a few months.
As the hundred plus dragon riders looked down at their former empire from the backs of their dragons, they could only stare in silence, some tears sliding down their cheeks as they remembered the beauty that their home once held. Even a couple of the dragons showed some saddened emotion at the sight of their old home being overrun by nature and other matters of phenomena from the last four centuries. Guiding the group over a large area many of them recognized as the plaza, he had the dragons land anywhere they could claim for themselves before climbing down.
Naruto turned and addressed his friends and family members, "Alright, from here on we are in unknown territory. We may be back in our old home, but time has changed and we don't know who or what has changed this once beautiful place we called home at one point in time. From now up until we depart everyone travels in groups of five and no less. I have groups this small simply because any larger and we run the risk of exposing ourselves. Our dragons will follow and fly in the air, but we remain grounded. Anything of value goes with us. Regardless if it looks or seems useless, our history and knowledge has remained untouched for the better part of four centuries and we have to claim it once more before someone gets an unsavory idea of doing this and who knows what said adversary might find and claim." Naruto says before turning to Rhaenys and Visenya.
"You two will be joining me on foot. We'll return to the keep and forge there to see if they have anything for us. We will be the only group not consisting of five people." he said before turning back, "Pick a group and head out. We leave for an unoccupied island to go make camp at dusk. Anyone not here we leave behind." he said seriously.
And with that he set his and his sisters dragon's up into the air for scouting while the three of them walked off in a direction he knew to be towards his old household. He knew most of the people here, if not all of them would more than likely check in on their old homes to see if they could gather anything sentimental of value to them before going elsewhere.
Walking through the small path, the trio saw grave markers littering the area to keep up with the foreboding feeling in the air. They were glad none of them ran into any trouble, but kept up their guard for what may lie ahead. As the path eventually led up a steep hill, the three soon saw a shrine of sorts and agreed to check it out if it could be possibly safe.
When inspecting the outward appearance of the shrine, Naruto couldn't help but marvel a little on how intact it appeared to be. Despite the slightly ruined stone work higher up on the building, it was a great and wonderful example of Valyrian architecture. Inspecting the door, the Visenya stabbed her sword into the ground before pushing the entrance inwards to enter the possible safe area for them to rest and talk.
Though what they didn't expect once stepping inside was seeing several large stone thrones, easily shown with the natural light coming from the shrine's entrance. The three were quite curious about the find as they walked down the stairs to see a fire pit that hasn't been used in centuries. This wasn't built back when they had lived in the Freehold, so assuming someone came back to reclaim their land was a good theory for the time being. Not minding that now, they got closer to the thrones to inspect them by walking up a different set of stairs and saw the sigils on each of their backs. On the left had a crab, the right had a seahorse and in the middle had a simple-looking dragon set in a circular pattern.
Pondering on their significance, the Conquering King soon realized what these sigils represented. "So, the thrones of the Houses of Celtigar, Velaryon and Targaryen came back did they? Nice to see they at least tried to come back to their roots." He said in slight appreciation as he inspected the room a little more as thoughts filled his mind. "This could've been a council chamber for the remaining houses of Valyria after they tried to rebuild from the ashes of the Doom."
"Not like it made any difference. That Baratheon king pretty much killed off our House in his little tantrum of a rebellion." Visenya snorted in annoyance. Turning towards the woman, "I'd rather we just look for anything valuable for the time being and ignore the larger things around us. We came here for our knowledge and resources so others couldn't get to them before we did, we should be diligent about it brother." she said before walking down the hall.
Naruto nodded as he cracked his neck before following the older woman, Rhaenys silently following behind. They eventually found what appeared to be a small library given the few tables placed and the multitude of books scattered around the room. They inspected the ones on the floor to see that they were completely ruined by the many rats that nibbled on them over the years. Deciding to explore a little on their own, the three separated to check out the different tomes.
Going in one section, Naruto didn't know where to start looking until his eye caught something of interest. Roughly in the center of the room's section laid an opened, dusty old book. He was curious as to why it was placed there with several other books placed on shelves around the room, yet this one was all by itself. The man figured it could've been quite significant and so upon closer inspection, Naruto saw the page was coated with a thick layer of dust. Carefully dusting off the page of dust and web, Naruto gazed at it's written passage; in which he slowly read to himself.
This... is the tale of the Ruined Country of Valyria.
So, people had indeed come back to resettle the Freehold after all.
The smoke and sea have taken the toll of the once great capital of the empire. What was once a city of wonderment, is now just a mere shadow of its former glory. Towers that could've touched the very skies above, where dragons have roamed free and lived in peace with humanity for dozens of centuries. Valyrians were the best at everything: agriculture, structures, crafting, etc. And for 5,000 years, it was the center of civilization itself and things seemed to be at peace… Until it happened.
We held each other close and turned our backs upon the end. The hills that split asunder and the black that ate the skies. The flames that shot so high and hot that even dragons burned. Would never be the final sights that fell upon their eyes. A fly upon a wall, the waves, the sea wind whipped and churned... A city for a thousand years, and all men that learned; the Doom consumed it all alike, and neither of them turned. The ruins of Valyria are all that remains… As the Doom rules it, with demons and flames… And the heirlooms of the once great empire… I hope that it'll save the world one day from the Forever Winter if it ever comes.
The day is dark for now, and not a soul stirs for who knows when. But remember, Fires are known to fade in quiet and only Dark will remain… Yet it might return with Embers and Ash...
Naruto was so drawn into reading it -with a sense of worry that came from the written words- that he jumped in fright when a hand placed itself on his shoulder.
"Woah there. Sorry if I startled you." Visenya said, holding her hands up.
"What the hell?! You should've warned me before doing that!" The blonde stated as he tried to calm his beating heart.
The brash woman could only chuckle, "True, but where would be the fun in that." Looking at the opened book, the Targaryen princess saw the passage and shivered a little in remembrance of what she saw as her family had fled from their home came to the front of her mind for a brief moment.
"So… Did you find anything good?" Naruto asked her.
"Somewhat, but I kept checking several of them along the way and the majority's written in some other dialect I'm not familiar with." Came her honest answer as she scratched her scalp. "With High Valyrian it's easy, but it'll take time to decipher and translate the unknown language. As for the other ones, I'd rather get some help from some people I know either back at the camp, or someone who can read the damn writing for the time being." Visenya then shook her head in frustration when looking back at the books. "Though it'll be a hindrance to have men come to and fro in order to move all of this to the saddles of a dragon."
"Maybe we can use runes to seal the books up for us so it'll be easier to transport to… well wherever we're heading off to after we leave this place." Rhaenys said, shrugging her shoulders.
It wasn't a bad idea now that they thought about it.
Once ready with their sealing rune, they raided the small library for the majority of its contents. By the time they were ready to exit the room, the small library was pretty much barren of literally everything, except for the furniture.
Upon leaving, the three of them walked down a random hall onl to stop as they soon came across a room that Naruto distinctly realized was some sort of blacksmith's shop. Visenya gazed at her King and saw a look of recognition in his gaze, making her realize that he had knowledge of what this was, "You seem quite interested in this place now, aren't you Naruto?" she asked him.
"Pretty much." Was the man's reply as he walked over to the smith station. Naruto silently picked up the hammer before inspecting it, seeing it was still in great condition after all these years. It's length made it appropriate for a two-handed smithing tool -or weapon in a fight- with the hammerhead having odd runes carved into its sides. He gave it a little swing and realized the cloth wrap around the pole needed replacing.
Putting down the hammer, Naruto continued to wander around the chamber and laid out the tools that he knew and ones he guessed from his time working with different variants back at home.
With the flame's light, Naruto's eyes soon landed upon the nearby workbench and saw something of curious interest. Heading over there, he soon came across several scraps of metal alongside what the blonde guessed to be a blacksmith's journal. He first inspected the handfuls of metal and saw they were made out of several alloys, but with the current light it was hard to tell which ones.
Even the feeling was completely foreign to the man.
"When did you get there, Naruto?" Rhaenys asked him.
"Varying scraps of alloy metals." he stated as he handed a piece as large as his forearm to Visenya to inspect, which earned a confused look from the woman, "Alloy metals are different kinds of material mixed together to make stronger and tougher steels. And these scraps seem to be of the same compound, but I have no idea what it is."
Ignoring the metal as Visenya walked over to take a look, Naruto opened up the smith's journal before gaining a confused look. It was obviously a guide to creating Valyrian Steel, but at the same time the new components added both more strength and versatility on the battlefield.
A superior metal to the standard Valyrian Steel which was one of the highest quality steels on record? This would be very useful.
"When you have a moment, mind helping us to gather all of the scraps of metal in this room? I need to be sure that what I'm thinking right now is real or not." Rhaenys stated before walking off. Seeing the woman walk out of the chamber to his own thoughts, the Conqueror decided he should start getting everything in the smelting chamber sealed up… Asides from the incredible amount of metal alloys of course.
Things were a little quicker than he imagined as he got the equipment sealed away with all of the alloys placed on the workbench in a medium sized pile. And it wasn't just that, but there were a couple of alloy steel bars that were ready to be smithed.
Before heading out with the material in his arms, Visenya called out to him, "Hey Naruto!"
"Yeah?"
"We missed a few." The woman stated as she and Rhaenys came up to him and placed the items onto the pile before dispelling.
The original then let out a sigh. "Couldn't have helped me out on this… Jerks."
Going by the nearby steps, Naruto carefully dumped the alloyed metals before putting the later found items to the side. At first glance, he was a little surprised to see the amount found in terms of scraps. By his estimates, there's potential for some reforging in making several short swords and daggers. Hard to tell at this point since she's not knowledgeable in smithing. Not to mention the 'alloy' steel bars could make a decent amount of standard-long swords. Opening up the recently found smithing journal, Naruto came to a page and saw diagrams in what he assumed was the 'alloys' creation process and some pages later showed what he heard about in terms of reforging, "Ways in creating and reforging Valyrian steel." The King muttered in appreciation. Dragon Riders need only know basic smithing as they had dragons as both a comrade and weapon. "Of course… Those scraps in that smithing chamber were leftover pieces of Valyrian steel in the process of becoming powerful weapons. And the bars are readied for a quicker process based on their design."
Humming in thought, Visenya got up from her seat and paced around a little to collect his thoughts. After several moments, he spoke to his young companion. "I think we have plenty from this room. We should head on out. We've rested long enough and as much as I'd like to stick around more, I'd like to leave this place and find a way back to my dragon."
Nodding at this, Naruto quickly sealed everything away into his runes. He didn't want to waste anymore time as it is as he had things he needed to do.
~XxX-Outside-XxX~
Naruto looked to his sisters, their destination pretty much settled and now clear for the most part, "Where I am going next, you cannot follow. I have to do this alone. Don't worry, I will have Balerion with me while I am gone for the next couple of hours." he told them from his saddle, "For right now, lead the others to one of the further islands away from the freehold. The magic we have is driving off men cursed with the Greyscale Curse but for how long is unknown. I will be back no later than midnight." he said as he gave a whistle where his dragon took to the sky once more.
[So, where are we really going, can't imagine you wanting to simply explore the plains of the peninsula for fun.]
Naruto spoke aloud, "We're going to the valley. So far the others with the exception of Visenya and Rhaenys have located a fair amount of dragon eggs that were scattered across the ruins in various buildings and such. I however know where large numbers of dragon eggs lay in bulk. The Doom might have destroyed a large portion of the Wild Dragons nesting grounds, but a decent amount of your kind was smart enough to leave their clutches underground or inside of large caves. And seeing as the Doom was as devastating as it was, I highly doubt there are any wild dragon's alive to guard any if there are." he stated.
[Ah, so you're just being thorough about this search just in case you do find dragon eggs out here.] Balerion stated.
"We WILL find eggs out here, there is no 'Just in case' to it." Naruto retorted, "You forget, you are the last born Wild Dragon from Valyria with Elecomun now gone. If we can locate others, then the chances of returning dragons to a proper size based bloodline increases the chance of survival exponentially." Naruto said, "Besides, Wild Dragon's tend to lay clutches of up to eight eggs at the most and three at the least, you were one of five eggs I found in a nest of mixed metals. I chose you as you were actually the smallest of the eggs from the clutch and I wanted to ensure you survived, you know how runts are treated when it comes to the newborns." Naruto said with a shadowed look.
[They die, as the mother or father devours them.]
"Which is exactly why I took you. I knew your parents would remember the number of eggs they laid and would definitely leave your siblings alone while knowing you were out there alive and more than likely growing strong." Naruto said.
As they flew across the open plains naruto noticed they were more than barren, the very life was missing from the soil. However, as they neared the mountains, Naruto looked back into his memories and pointed to a familiar cliff, "Over there, that mountain on the left closest to us, that's the one I scaled to find your egg. The cave should be on the far side of the southern face." he said as he guided Balerion down.
And sure enough, there was indeed a cave on the southern side of the mountain at the halfway point, just as Naruto remembered. Strangely enough, Balerion opted to stay outside, feeling uncertain of returning to the nest that nearly ended him; despite knowing that it was perfectly safe for him to enter it. However, Naruto said he would be fine unless he was desperate for assistance from the black dragon.
Venturing back into the darkness that had given him his best friend and partner, Naruto smiled when he easily found the same exact clutch of eggs, well one less egg seeing as he had hatched one of them, sitting right where he remembered it. However, he also saw the two large skeleton's that filled the sides of the cavern, more than likely Balerion's deceased parents, having waited for their offspring to return.
Sometimes a dragon's parents wouldn't eat the runt of the flock, but even then it was incredibly rare for it to happen.
It seems they didn't want to awaken their children until they had them all together. However, he took notice of an additional two eggs in a much smaller nest that was near the first original nest. It too was made up of similar materials as the nest Naruto snatched Balerion's own egg from. Opening the sack he had brought with him, Naruto quickly began to gather the eggs inside the cavern. He would give Balerion his family one way or another. However, he would also bring a piece of his dragon's parents to honor their kindness in giving him his friend and partner.
Walking over to the larger of the two skeletons-obviously a male due to the horn on the snout as females never grew them, Naruto sliced a tooth from the upper jaw and put it in the sack with the eggs before repeating the act with the female skeleton. With his prize in hand, Naruto walked out of the cavern and up to Balerion where he mounted the saddle, "I have everything, we can venture further into the mountains tomorrow. For now, we should return to the main group." Naruto said calmly as Balerion nodded before he leapt up and off the cliff and took off across the sky.
~XxX-2 weeks later-XxX~
Two weeks would pass for House Targaryen's dragon riders, and in those two weeks, they had reclaimed much of their history and possessions that had been lost to the world or went missing in the days of The Doom. Narutohad kept the eggs a secret, despite having handed over other eggs from his searches through the valley. He had, by himself-with the exception of the seven eggs from Balerions blood family- found a total of thirty eggs that came from Wild Dragon nests.
Being honest, he had actually had Balerion sniff out the eggs as they flew through the valley. A little bit of fact for you, a dragon could smell a deer from close to a hundred miles away, a human from fifty, and a dragon from almost seventy. Treasure-which dragons only collected for their nests-would often be ripped from the ground in large clumps as the dragon in question would dig into the earth to claim it. Another interesting fact, if a dragon were to dive into the ocean-at least if they were as large as Balerion was currently-they could swim for roughly three hours underwater before having to surface for fresh air.
With pretty much everything of value gathered up-with the exception of the ruined buildings themselves-Naruto had made a decision that would haunt his dreams for a couple years, he decided to burn the ruins of Valyria to the ground with each and every dragon of his house. It wasn't that he wanted to, but with anything that they had yet claim, the chance of someone finding something as dangerous as say-a dragon egg or valyrian armor set or even a weapons cache they by chance overlooked was still there for it to be discovered.
Swallowing harshly, Naruto urged Balerion into the sky, the others of his house followed silently, their own fear of doing this to their home also keeping them silent as they spread out for maximum coverage through the use of their dragon's ability to breath flame. Balerion took the centermost area of the near hundred-fifty dragon flock with a space of thirty feet on both sides while the other dragons had anywhere from fifteen to twenty feet between themselves. As they flew over the sea and closed in rapidly on the peninsula, Naruto pointed his handout towards the landmass, "On my command!" he commanded as they reached the landmass.
As they reached the edge of the ruins Naruto steeled his heart, nearly ignoring his own desire to protect his people's culture over protecting the world at large from the greed of man itself he took a deep breath, tears slowly rolling down his cheek as he prepared himself, and yelled, "DRACARYS!~" and the entire sky was filled with flames of various colors from red to white,from blue to purple, from green to teal, white to gray. Flames of a hundred dragons rained down on the land, ripping the land apart from the sheer force of the flames as they hit the ground and tore everything down.
And in the center of all this beautiful destruction of flame, a solitary beam of black flames gouged deep into the ground as Balerion led his fellow dragons across the former land he once called home.
For two days the dragons would fly across the peninsula and destroy any settlement they had formerly scavenged for anything of value to their culture, but eventually the work was done. The entire pack had to steel their hearts for what they had done, but regardless, the Freehold would forever hold its secrets from the greed of those seeking to exploit her secrets.
And with that, they made their way back to King's Landing.
~XxX-King's Landing; 2days later-XxX~
To say Naruto was in a state of numbness would be an understatement. However, he could push past that numbness when he had things he needed to do. He had the members of his house remain in the valley out of the city. He would do this next thing on his own, lying to Robert was a necessity, and he wouldn't have to waste anything of use. Books of history and economics as well as farming techniques or masonry were unimportant to his House as none of them needed the trade knowledge due to the fact each of them were warriors by profession and didn't know anything outside of their own craft of fighting.
Balerion flew over the city, a loud roar filling the air to signal his return to King's Landing. Landing outside of the Keep, naruto dismounted his dragon and walked up the stairs and into the castle with Balerion slowly making his way into the castle after his master to ensure nothing happened to him, and who in their right mind would challenge the likes of a dragon who could kill you with a single blast of fire?
He reached the councilroom and had to shake his head in annoyance as he heard the sound of a brat crying over something stupid before he motioned for the guards in front of the door away, though he suspected they only moved due to Balerion glowering at them.
"I want no bloodshed. Tell your men to lay down their swords. No one needs to die here today," said Ned while Cersei smirked and then nodded to Janos.
"NOW!" yelled Janos before he and his men turned on Ned Stark's forces, killing them in the surprise move.
Ned tried to draw his sword, but found Petyr Baelish had grabbed him from behind, and put the dagger used by the assassin to try killing Bran to his neck. He was surrounded and had lost. Cersei knew it. Ned knew it. Joffrey knew it. Janos and all the Lannister men knew it.
"I did warn you not to trust me," whispered Petyr into Ned's ear with a grin on his face.
Before anything else happened, the sound of the councilroom doors being slammed open drew everyone's attention and the room watched in shock as Naruto strode into the room, Balerion slowly squeezing his way into the-surprisingly large enough- room behind his master where he curled around the room to the point he encircled everyone completely and blocked all forms of entering and leaving. While everyone was silent and now slightly (Read: EXTREMELY) worried about what the Dragon Rider would do.
They knew his return was soon, but they didn't think it'd be THIS soon!
Naruto simply looked around the room with a raised brow, "What'd I miss? Seems like you guys started a party of some sort but failed to invite me to the fun." he stated.
Joffrey glowered at the man, who in his mind was after everything he owned (which in reality he had nothing but a bitch of a mother) including his throne (which wasn't even legally his to begin with) that he had inherited from his 'father' upon his death. The spoiled brat pointed to the original Conqueror, "Guards, bring me his head, then clap my dragon in chains so I can break it and mold it into my personal mount!" he ordered.
He would get his dragon, one way or another.
Cersei snapped her fingers, "You heard your king, kill him and put the beast in chains." she commanded
The guards who had helped Baelish originally didn't move, the glowing eyes of the gigantic reptile had them frozen in place, "You think they will obey you woman? That they will take orders from a woman, who is not remotely worthy of the throne, and be called Queen," replied Naruto while Cersei looked enraged.
"I AM the Queen! I am still that much in terms of status and as such I still have the royal power to give commands to all the knights of Westeros to stand by their oaths to serve me regardless of what Robert's dying words were. Which means Ser Barristan has to fight for me, even if he does not like it," replied Cersei while Naruto shook his head.
"Not when the Queen in question more than likely had a hand in the King's death," replied Naruto with Cersei's face going from angry to pale while everyone else looked at him in shock.
"How dare you make such an accusation against my Mother!" exclaimed Joffrey angrily.
Naruto ignored the boy and looked to Ned, now free from Baelish's grip, "Tell me Stark, did you find the evidence you were looking for?" he asked in a knowing tone.
Ned nodded shakily, "Yes, it seems we both came to the same conclusion, that the Queen had in fact been sleeping with her fraternal twin brother and sired three bastards and attempted to pass them off as the King's." he said holding out the parchment to the original king to take.
Clearing his throat Naruto read the message allowed, "In the name of Robert of House Baratheon, First of his name and all additional titles. I hereby declare Joffrey, Myrcella, and Tommen are not my children by blood. Upon seeing the damaging evidence I find to be sufficient, I decree all three are bastard children born of incest, and have no right to the Iron Throne. As such, I hereby command Eddard of House Stark, titles, titles, and more titles...to serve as Lord Regent and Protector of the Realm upon my death. To rule in my stead until the rightful Heir of Lord Stark's choosing comes of age and proves himself to be worthy of being King of the Seven Kingdoms," naruto read off word for word before he held up the paper and turned it to ash, "Well, you heard the words of your former king, the three kids sired by your former Queen are in fact Bastards and as such hold no claim to the throne. As such I am taking back what I originally owned and command you to get out of my seat." Naruto said, turning his gaze to Joffrey.
"You can't make me! I'm the King, not you! Your reign ended when you were in battle!" the boy cried out.
Naruto sighed before he looked to Balerion, "Balerion, if you'd be so kind." he said causing everyone's eyes to widen in horror-none more so than Joffery's eyes as the dragon begun to growl deeply in the back of his throat as he leaned down to nearly place his head on the floor and opened his maw, the sight of his throat glowing a bright orange seemed to work as Joffrey leapt up out of his seat moments later.
Naruto nodded and ripped the crown off Joffrey's head and tossed it on the large table. He didn't need it, he still had his crown on his head and it made him a more worthy king anyways due to the fact it was crafted for the king or queen sitting on the Iron Throne at the time.
With Balerion still blocking all the exits, Naruto was given their full attention as he sat down inthe spot the king would take, "Now, onto more important business. Cersei Lannister, you and your spawn of a clearly deranged son will be sent to the Black Cells until I can think of a proper punishment for you. Ned Stark, your position as Hand to the King is hereby permanent by my command and Baelish, I'm sorry, but I'm going to need to see every ledger you have. As for everyone else that doesn't deserve to be in here I'm giving you all one option; take the Black Cells with the Queen and her spoiled bastard or die by fire from Balerion's breath." Naruto commanded as he leaned back to plant his feet on the table.
The decision wasn't hard for the men to make.
Naruto cleared his throat and looked to Ned, "Go send for some of your men, I would rather trust them to get these fine gentlemen to their cells along with the Queen and the former princess-oops I'm sorry I meant to say Spoiled Bitch in their accommodating rooms as well." he said as Balerion lifted his tail long enough to let Ned out of the room. Clearing his throat and ignoring Joffrey's cries of him being the rightful ruler despite being held back by the Hound so he didn't get himself killed by the dragon at Naruto's command, Naruto spoke in a voice befitting a king, "Next order of business, I want every member of the Small Council to be summoned here immediately. I will send a dragon and rider out to retrieve them if they are not in King's Landing. There is much to discuss and I will not have my empire fall apart just as I get it back." he growled.
As he spoke, a group of Stark Bannermen came in and removed the wailing Joffrey and screeching Cersei while the Lannister swordsmen calmly left without a fight. Shaking his head he looked to Balerion, "Balerion, fetch Visenya and Rhaenys along with Meraxes and Vhagar. It's time we got to work repairing this cesspool of corruption." he said seriously. The Black Dread followed his master's command and rose up to his full height and squeezed back out the doors and left the castle to do as he was ordered.
It'd be a minute til he got back in the room.
Taking a deep breath Naruto looked to a guard, "Bring me the Queens twin brother, now! I have things I need to discuss with him and I cannot do that if he isn't present. Then when that is done, bring Tyrion Lannister in as well as the Queens other children. They are to be left unharmed, and if I find out they have a single hair out of place, you will only wish it was me who got to you." he commanded the guard who quickly left. Naruto then looked to Baelish, Ned, and Barriston who stood next to the Hound, "You four, stay where you are. We will all be having words here shortly." he growled out.
He didn't trust a single one of them, and with good reason.
Shortly after, a set of loud roars filled the air before the ground shook lightly. About two minutes later both Rhaenys and Visenya walked into the room while Balerion stuck his head in as Meraxes and Vhagar pooled into the room in a much easier manner than the large black dragon had done minutes prior. Naruto smiled, "Hello girls, glad you could make it." he said.
"What is it Naruto, you said you needed to speak with us?" Rhaenys asked.
Naruto nodded his head, "Indeed I did, but right now I'm waiting for a couple of guests to come in." Naruto said and smiled a bit broader when he watched as Jaime Lannister and his dwarf brother got escorted-Jame being forced while Tyrion walked in unrestrained, "Ah speak of the devil, you guys made it, good." Naruto said as he placed his hands behind his back, "Now, onto the matter of business at hand, Jaime Lannister of House Lannister, I believe I have something to ask of you." Naruto said.
Jaime shrugged, "Depends on the question." he responded.
"Your sister's children, among other things pertaining to my curiosity." Naruto spoke.
"Fuck you, they have no importance to you, you have your throne, so what does it matter? Besides, I ain't tellin you shit." he said.
Naruto looked calm as he responded, "I does matter actually, and if you don't speak truthfully I'm gonna have to get creative in drawing those answers out, the last method I will use if you prove to be stubborn is not going to be pleasant for you by any means and you'll only wish to die, do you understand?" Naruto said.
Jamie sneered, "Fuck you, I don't have to answer to you, you aren't my king!" he bit out.
Naruto shrugged, "Figures, he would only say that when he knows he can't get away." Naruto said before looking at Visenya, "Cut off his finger, doesn't matter which one, just a solitary digit will do for now, and do it at the first knuckle. If he continues to be stubborn we'll continue to cut knuckle by knuckle until he has none left to give." he said.
"And what about the bleeding?" Visenya asked, not really scared of the blood per say, just the mess it'd make.
Naruto shrugged, "Pour some salt on it." he said carelessly.
Jamie struggled against the guards restraining him, but a swift backhand to disorent him from Visenya's armored hand shut him up as she removed his own gauntlet and put his hand on the table and quickly pulled a dagger out and made the cut, causing the Lannister to cry out in pain, "Oh stop whining, it's just a small joint, not like you'll need it." Visenya growled out.
Naruto spoke calmly, ignoring the dwarf's pleading look, "Do you wish to talk now?" he asked Jaime.
Jaime bit his tongue and groaned, "I don't need a full hand to run a sword through your gut, like you said it's just a cut." he spat at Visenya.
"Have it your way." Naruto said before motioning to Visenya who punched him in the face to once more stop his struggling before she slammed his hand down on the table and stabbed the dagger in his flesh before she pulled out another and proceeded to make another cut, "There, now I don't have to fight you for the hand." he said tossing the bit of flesh to the floor behind her.
Naruto ignored Jaime's cries of pain, "Again, do you wanna talk now, or will you continue resisting? It'll save you a lot of pain, and trust me, losing fingers and having salt poured on the stump is the least of your worries from Visenya and my methods, Rhaenys is actually the more clever of us when it comes to Torture and Interrogation." Naruto revealed.
"Fuck off!" Jaime spat into Visenya's face, causing her to chuckle darkly, "And while you're at it, blow me bitch!" he sneered.
Naruto winced lightly, "Ooh, bad idea, definitely not the woman you wanna piss off, and sadly you just did." he told Jaime while ignoring the others in the room.
Visenya continued to chuckle before she reached up and swiftly cut off Jaime's right ear causing him to wail in pain before she stuffed his own ear in his mouth and punched him causing him to gag. She then clamped her hand over his mouth and picked up the nearby glass of wine on the table and pushed his head back and then proceeded to pour the cup's conens into his mouth, where Jaime had no choice but to swallow his ear, devouring it. She the smashed the cup across his face and shattered it, "You wanna blow huh, there's your blow bitch." she said to him as she pushed her hair behind her own ear.
Naruto sighed, "Jaime, I promise this ends when you speak, you don't lose any more fingers or other parts of the body. So, will you speak?" he asked a third time.
Jaime spat on the floor, "Why don't you go to hell, and take your slut with you." he bit out.
Naruto chuckled before shaking his head, "You know I gotta hand it to you, you really are a stubborn fool, but stubbornness only goes so far. Cu him." he commanded as he looked to Visenya.
Once more she moved her knife to Jaime's hand, but Jaime curled his fingers into a fit preventing her from cutting him. Visenya only sighed before she smiled at him, "If that's how you want it." she said, and then she simply cut off his hand at the wrist, Jaime's wails of agony filling the room. She then backhanded Jaime with his own hand, "There, now you have a reason to cry." she stated calmly, ignoring the man's blood on her armor.
Jaime knew he had to remain silent. If he spoke he would more than likely have to reveal his and Cersei's relationship to the man, and he wouldn't dream of doing that, not in a million years. Naruto looked bored, "Do you wish to speak now?" Naruto asked him again.
"P-P-Piss off, you bastard." Jaime said with gritted teeth.
"Cut him." Naruto said.
Tyrion spoke up before Visenya could move, "Please madam, stop this. As much as he has done wrong, my brother has done a lot of good for the kingdom as a whole." he pleaded.
"I'm sorry Tyrion, but he isn't leaving me with any other choice. Now if he admits to his crimes that he knows that we know, then it stops. It's as simple as that, and I won't go back on my word.''Naruto said before nodding his head where Visenya moved to cut his right hand at a random knuckle.
Jaime wailed once again as he lost a piece of his hand, 'Alright alright I'll talk, just please stop this!' he begged.
Naruto breathed out heavily, "There, was that so hard to say." he commented, "Bring in some bandages and healers for the man." he said to Rhaenys. Looking to Jaime he asked, "Are the claims that Cersei Lannister's children being born of incest by your own seed true?' Naruto asked.
Jaime grimaced, but then he nodded, "Yes, they are true. Joffery, Myrcella and Tommen are my children born of incest." he answered.
"Next question." Naruto said as he sat up to look at the man, 'Did you plot with Cersei to kill RObert?' he asked.
"Yes. We would have a scribe, our cousin Lancel give him a wine-sac that Robert usually drank out of with unwatered wine and ensure he was drunk enough to get injured on a boar hunt and die of the wounds." he answered.
"What was Cersei's goal in putting your son Joffrey on my throne?"
"We would incite a war between House Baratheon and some of the other houses. We'd wipe out any who opposed us and bribe any that would work with us for a large sum of our gold." Jaime answered.
"Is there anything else you think I might need to know before I pass on your sentence?" Naruto questioned.
Jaime shrugged, "Besides the fact I broke my oath to the king the first time to save the people of the city from the Mad King when he wanted to kill everyone with Wildfire? Besides the fact I sired incestuous bastards with my twin sister? Besides the fact I broke my oath not once but four times when I had three children with my sister? Besides the fact that Joffrey nearly instigated a war with House Stark?" he asked.
"Yes, besides all that, what can you tell me that will lighten your sentence?" Naruto demanded.
Jaime let out a hard breath, "Me and Cersei were fornicating up north in Winterfell. We were caught by Ned's son, Brandon Stark. I bashed his head against the wall and threw him off the wall in an attempt to silence him forever. After that Cer planned to have the IronBorn incited into raiding the North again when Robb Stark inevitably sent men to challenge House Lannister over the illegal death of Ned Stark. I didn't have all the details, but that was it. Then you showed up with all your men and your dragons. She eventually had it planned out where House Targaryen wiped itself out in a battle similar to the Dance of Dragons and those that remained would be forced into obedience to her and her alone and that's all I know, I swear." Jaime said weakly.
Naruto inhaled deeply before exhaling just as much. While he could overlook the murder of the king that came before Robert as it saved countless lives, his other crimes and plots with his sister were just to damning. He couldn't send Jaime to the Wall for he was a cripple and as such couldn't fight the fight with one hand. He couldn't send him back to castlery rock without having to explain to the current Warden just why his son was missing a knuckle from his sword hand, an entire hand, and an ear. Not only that but he had broken his oath to the king multiple times-sleeping with the Queen alone was a crime that was eligible by death, siring three incestuous bastards and passing them off as Roberts viloated Bloodline laws of the kingdom noble houses-also eligible by death, he had attempted to murder the son of a Warden-punishible by death, he and the Queen killed the former king-regicide; punishible by by death, he and his sister had nearly instigated a war between most of the houses-Black Cells at the MINIMUM.
Jaime had little to no options on his punishment, and so far it wasn't looking like he'd survive due to the number of crimes he had committed against the crown.
And unfortunately, he had to go with the least damning one among them-execution. Not to say that Jaime deserved to die, but first off; he once again BROKE his oath as a Kingsguard FOUR TIMEs, Attempted to Murder a Noble, Commited Regicide not once but TWICE, Slept with his sister and sired three bastard children with one being clearly insane, and he had been in the attempt to incite the realm into a bloody war that might push a large portion of the serving noble houses into extinction.
Naruto sighed, "Jaime Lannister, as much as I would like to release you into the world, I am regretfully unable to pull you from any harm. Until your father gets here, I have no choice but to order your stay in the Black cells until such a time where your punishment is revealed before being carried out."he said before commanding some guards to move him to the cells below.
Naruto cleared his throat, "Now then, let's get on to more important matters shall we?" he asked before several roars were heard from outside, "Oh well that was fast." Naruto said as several men entered the room. A total of five additional men to be exact. Naruto motioned to the bloody table, "Good, you all made it. Sit. Ignore the mess, I had to ask a few questions of a man who was just in here before you all arrived." he stated.
"What's this all about, who are you?" a man that resembled Robert to a degree asked.
"Renly, I wouldn't piss him off, that's Naruto Targaryen the Conqueror who arrived a couple weeks ago through a botched spell." his brother Stannis whispered into his ear.
Naruto waved him off, "Who I am isn't important. What is important is your names and positions." Naruto demanded.
"Ned Stark, Hand of the King Milord."
"Petyr Baelish, Master of Coin sire."
"Varys, Master of Whispers, your majesty."
"Renly Baratheon, Master of Law."
"Stannis Baratheon, Master of ships."
"Grand Master Samwell, I had to replace the former Grandmaster due to his untimely death."
Naruto nodded his head in acceptance before clearing his throat, "Master of coin, what is the status on the coffers? Are we bringing in money or have we lost everything except the clothes off our back?" he demanded.
He needed to have a stable income in order to fix the fuck ups no doubt left in place by the previous king, wasn't hard to notice them either as there were dozens of obvious pointers.
Petyr gulped nervously. He had been planning to in the next few days slip out of King's Landing to convince his beloved Catelyn to help lend support to the city in case her children got caught up in the mess Cersei started. Granted, Arya wasn't here, but Catelyn wouldn't know that, and Petyr was certain he could fool his beloved into believing he didn't know she was not in King's Landing when arranging such a move. Petyr was certain Catelyn would listen to him, and do what he asked in the name of honor.
Granted, it would upset many of the Lords from the North, and damage the impressive peace that was currently present as he incited Robb Stark and his men into battle against Tywin Lannister. The plan was to originally have Kingslayer be put into Robb's possession which made for a very valuable bargaining chip and the young Stark knew this. Everyone knew this, even if you had no experience in war from the start. And to have the young wolf's own Mother betray in secret to giving up the Kingslayer would deliver a devastating blow to the wolf's morale. But it was an expected reaction to such a move and it was what Petyr wanted to happen. If successful in his plan, Petyr knew the war between House Stark and House Lannister would continue on with the North going more on the defensive while the Lannister forces would go more on the offensive once word reached them of Jaime being freed. The more prolonged the war became with the Lannisters, the more moves he could make, and weaken all sides being played by his machinations.
Now if he could only convince the new King to let him leave King's Landing. Perhaps with a whore or two would suffice? It worked for Robert.
"Your predecessor had a poor habit with spending the crown's money, your Grace. I did what I could to keep the crown out of deeper forms of debt during my time as Master of Coin, but when your Father gave me a command, I had no choice but to obey him," defended Petyr with Naruto's glare increasing.
"How much, how much is my kingdom in debt?" Naruto growled in an increasing anger.
"S-Six million your majesty, the crown is six million gold dragons in debt." Petyr said nervously as Naruto shook his head in barely restrained anger.
"Six million gold dragon's in debt, and yet you somehow manage to still live a life of luxury despite the fact you have an obligation to keep the coffers full and in the black? You have failed in your duty, you have failed the crown and the people of King's Landing and more importantly you have failed your king's former and undetermined. As of right now, I hereby strip you of your title as Master of Coin, all of your assets are to be seized, including your lands and employees, and any money made from your time as Master of Coin will be used to lessen the debt the crown possesses. A debt you made and thus will be owed with your money fitting the bill," said Naruto with Petyr not liking this piece of news at all.
"Your Grace, no one can manage the crown's finances like I can. What will become of my brothels themselves? The girls working at each establishment need such a profession because they can do nothing else. Surely you won't close them down?" questioned Petyr with Naruto scoffing.
"Of course not. But as of this moment, you will no longer have access to them, or make money through them. I will call forth the most advanced mathematical minds throughout the Seven Kingdoms to take a look at your records and ledgers for the past thirty years to further determine just what you and your predecessor have done during your time here on the Small Council. I have no doubt that you have not been even remotely honest with your book writing and as such, I need capable people here to find out what the Hell you've done," said Naruto while Petyr looked very unhappy right now.
"I am the Master of Coin for a reason, your Grace. Without me to manage the finances, all of King's Landing, if not the Seven Kingdoms will fall apart," protested Petyr while the young Baratheon King glared at him.
"As I said to you earlier Petyr Baelish, you are no longer Master of Coin, or the owner of any brothels. You are stripped of everything you own Petyr Baelish with the exception being the clothing you are wearing now. Be grateful I don't have you thrown out of here naked to be mocked and beaten at my discretion or fed to my dragon!" said Naruto with his voice full of the authority one would find in a King.
"Your Grace, I must protest this harsh action. It is unjust!" said Petyr while thinking of all the money, his information network, and the blackmail he had on influential Lords being lost to him.
"Do not speak to me about what is unjust, Petyr Baelish. You will be confined to a room here in the Red Keep until I say otherwise. Or would you prefer I simply extend your so called 'unjust' punishment by throwing you in the Black Cells? Or maybe I should take your head off now and be done with you?" questioned Naruto in a deathly cold tone with Littlefinger now sweating under his gaze.
"No your Grace. I will humbly accept your decision," whispered Petyr in a bitter tone of voice while Naruto motioned two of his Kingsguard to take the man outside.
"Not to press the advantage, but you really should kill him now before he has a chance to flee your Grace. Petyr Baelish is very snake like in nature and has some powerful friends willing to help him out if called upon," said Tyrion since he never did like Littlefinger and blamed him for what Catelyn Stark did in trying to have him arrested for Bran Stark's attempted murder.
"I'm sure he does have 'friends' Tyrion. Paid 'friends' at that. We'll see how long they are his 'friends' when he no longer has money to pay them," said Naruto while he saw the others shifting nervously, but would wait to deal with the man later. Naruto then looked to Varys, "Is there anything that you may want to reveal to me about the former Master of coins, Lord Varys?"he asked.
Varys nodded, "Jon Arryn, who is our former Hand, was looking at Robert's Bastards and comparing them to Cersei's three children. He borrowed the book detailing the lineage of the Four Great Houses of the Seven Kingdoms to further gather evidence against the former prince's Mother. When he asked for the book, I knew the late Hand of the King would discover the truth, and I told the Queen about it. From there, she conspired with her brother Jamie Lannister, Petyr Baelish, and one other who was capable of poisoning Jon Arryn under everyone's nose. Someone nobody suspected would be capable of doing the dreadful deed," said Varys with Naruto frowning and Ned frowning too.
"Who is this other person?" asked Ned with Varys hesitating for a moment.
"Our former Hand of the King, Jon Arryn's own wife. Lysa Tully Arryn of the Vale. She poisoned him," said Varys with Renly and Tyrion looking at him like he just said the White Walkers had crossed the Wall.
"Why would she agree to poison her own husband?" asked Naruto while not seeing the connection to the woman killing her husband and joining in the conspiracy.
"I might be able to answer your Grace. It is a well known fact Petyr Baelish was a ward of House Tully in Riverrun. He apparently fell in love with Catelyn Tully, but she was engaged to Brandon Stark. Ned Stark's older brother and future Warden of the North prior to Robert's Rebellion. If I were to make an educated guess, Lysa Arryn still holds a great deal of love for Petyr Baelish, and he convinced her to do the deed of killing her husband with the poison provided by the Grand Maester here," said Varys with some of the others nodding.
"So that's why she was so Hell bent in having me blamed for the death of Jon Arryn. The woman had a very crazed look in her eyes when I spent my short time in the Vale," added Tyrion with Naruto thinking things over in his head.
"I see. This does pose a serious problem. One that cannot be handled swiftly like I had hoped it would," said Naruto with his mind thinking a mile a minute.
"It is clear Petyr Baelish is guilty of treason on multiple levels, your Grace. Sadly, if we kill him now, we make ourselves an enemy of the Vale. Lysa Arryn might even join her forces with the North if it benefits her cause to see us destroyed for killing Petyr Baelish or if she learns of him being imprisoned by what she will believe are false charges against her not so secret love," said Varys while Naruto nodded.
"I did not just become King of the Seven Kingdoms a second time in my life only to have this entire city burn to the ground at the hands of multiple enemies. So we must act accordingly." he stated as he clasped his hands together.
