"Of course, I will ask for something in return." Lucifer added. The devil does favors, he doesn't do things for free.

"No one is selling their soul here." Dean said. The older Winchester knew from personal experience how badly that turned out.

"He doesn't want your souls." Lucifer's demonic best friend Mazikeen said as she walked in.

"Quite right, I blame those mistakes." Lucifer shook his head. "All I want is for your help finding Delilah's killer, so I can punish him."

"Mistakes? And that's really all you want?" Sam asked.

"He's referring to demons." Castiel said, answering Sam's first questions.

"No, he's not. Not real demons anyway." Mazikeen said with a dangerous tone. "Real demons, like myself, have our own bodies." Once again the hunters' weapons came out.

"Calm down, she could kill you, way faster than you could kill her." The older angel said to the humans. "She is right, there are two types of demons. The type that was created by dad, the one's like Maze, and the type I created after I was kicked out." Lucifer paused. "The latter are the mistakes I was referring to. They are the ones that deal in souls."

"So we help you solve your friend's murder and you help us stop the apocalypse?" Chloe asked the devil. She still thought it was strange that she was even talking to the devil, but now they were brokering a deal.

"Exactly. A favor for a favor." Lucifer responded. Lucifer looked at his younger brother. He hadn't seen him in a long time. He was still very literal, but he no longer was an obedient soldier. He had found his reason to rebel and Lucifer was almost proud of him for that.

"Very well." Castiel said, causing Dean to glare at him. "Brother, your help will be vital to end this with as little human casualties as possible."

Dean pulled Castiel and Sam to the side. "What the hell, Cas? Why would you agree to that? It could be a trick."

"Lucifer doesn't lie, Dean. I may not have seen him in a very long time, but I believe that to still be true." Castiel looked at both Winchesters. "Dean, the apocalypse isn't going to stop itself. Lucifer may not be the ideal option, but he is the only other angel who doesn't want the apocalypse."

Sam sighed. "Dean, why don't we just help him with the investigation first, and if he is tricking us deal with it then. We'd be helping the victim get justice anyway." Dean complained under his breath but then agreed with his younger brother.

"Okay we'll help you." Dean said with a bitter tone in his voice.

"Great. You can come with me. The rest of you do something else." Lucifer wanted to go with Dean, partially to annoy him, partially because he was curious about the older Winchester.

Lucifer and Dean went to an outdoor wedding. "Speak now or forever hold your peace…" A priest said as Lucifer was walking up.

"Excuse me!" Lucifer is walking down the aisle while Dean is standing off to the side. "I have a problem. Has anyone else noticed how incredibly, jaw droppingly, loin-stirringly beautiful this young woman is? And how short, sweaty and altogether fugly this homunculus is? What is this? A wedding or a kidnapping?"

Dean nearly laughed, but stopped himself. He didn't want Lucifer to know that Dean found him funny, even for a Priest starts praying and Lucifer makes a starts talking to the groom, Jimmy Barnes. Jimmy tries to avoid eye contact with Lucifer, Dean picks up on this and wonders why. Eventually Barnes says that Lucifer should be talking to a rapper called 2Vile.

Lucifer looks to the bride. "I'm sorry, how rude of me. Allow me to introduce myself…" The bride stares at him.

"I really don't want to have sex with him tonight." The bride said. She then tried to cover that with the groom.

"Of course you don't! Let's be honest here. You're not marrying this human stain because you're actually in love with him, right?" Lucifer responded and the bride agreed with him Dean could no longer stop himself from laughing. Lucifer looked at the hunter with a mischievous grin. The angel and human were walking back to the car.

"Sam and Cas trust you to follow through on your end of the deal, but I have some questions for you." Dean stopped at the car.

Lucifer expected this from the hunter. "Go ahead. I don't lie, a point of pride for me."

"If you're so good, why did you make demons?" Dean asked.

"Two things, I never said I'm good, I'm not evil, but good isn't any more accurate. And as I said earlier, those demons were a mistake. I know well that you have made mistakes, and you're making one now." The devil responded.

"What are you talking about?" Dean wasn't sure if he was offended or not.

"Well, I know what you had to do in Hell in order for the apocalypse to even be an idea. And I know that you're putting all the blame on your brother." Lucifer had experience with older brothers putting all the blame on their younger brother.

"He sided with a demon! Over his own brother!" Dean was getting angry, and the last thing he wanted was an angel questioning him, especially not the devil.

"Which demon?" Lucifer asked, pretty sure he knew the answer.

"Ruby." Dean answered. "Does it matter?"

"It does, yes. Ruby was a master manipulator even before she got to hell. And she only got better after learning from Lilith. She was an expert at twisting people's weaknesses against them. And you are Samuel's weakness." The devil looked at Dean.

Dean sighed. This isn't what he wanted to talk about. He didn't even want to think about this at the moment. "I have more questions. The thing you said you created, why did you really create it?"

"As I said before I wanted to avoid the prophecy, but more specifically I don't want to fight my brother. At least not a fight that will end in one of us dead. My brother may be, as you would say, a dick, but I don't want him dead. The thing I made wouldn't be strong enough to kill him. If Michael and I fought, either of us could win, and a lot of humans could die." Lucifer hadn't told anyone this before, but he recognized that the hunter needed to know.

"And the person you're wearing? Who is he?" Dean asked his final question.

"Well, we've been together a long time. Centuries, actually. We made a deal. He lets me in, and I check on his descendants every so often." Lucifer told the hunter.

"Who are they?" Dean asked. He looked at the man as if he was trying to figure it out. Lucifer gave him a meaningful look. "Sam and I?"

"Yes, that's why he makes a good vessel. He is of yours and Sam's line. If he wasn't I doubt he would have lasted this long." Lucifer started to get in the car and Dean did too.

"Is he still sane?" Dean asked. He wasn't sure if he wanted to know.

"He is. He's not always awake, but when he is we tend to have a chat. He always asks about his family." Lucifer wouldn't admit it, but his vessel was one of his first mortal friends.

The two rode in silence until they got to the rapper's house. Dean and Lucifer walked up to the house. At first they were not let in, but when Lucifer said he had drugs for 2Vile, the butler led them to him.

"Can someone please turn down this god awful music?!" Lucifer said as the two walked in the room.

2Vile looks at Dean and Lucifer. "Who's this clown?" His butler tells him that Lucifer has narcotics for him.

"My name is Lucifer Morningstar." Lucifer introduces himself, disregarding the butler's statement.

"Lucifer Morningstar... that's a good hip-hop name." The rapper tells the devil.

"That offends me."

"What, you don't like hip-hop?"

"No, I most certainly do not." Lucifer responded.

"That offends me. You have a problem with black people?" As the rapper and the devil had their exchange, Dean was observing and thinking about what Lucifer had told him.

"Not in the slightest. I just hate your music. And when I say "your music," I mean your music - not music made by other black people. Without the blues, there would be no devil's music whatsoever. There are, of course, many giants in the field. Just not you. Am I being clear?" Lucifer knew he was being clear and Dean was wondering if coming with him was a bad idea.

"You're being clear all right - if you're looking to get yourself killed." The rapper responded.

"Don't waste your munitions. I'm immortal. Tell me about Delilah." When Lucifer said this, Dean's first thought was 'But I'm not.' Not that he'd ever admit to being even slightly nervous.

The rapper's next words were the absolute worst thing to say at that moment. "What's to tell? She's dead."

This made Lucifer angry. He shoves the rapper through a glass door that shatters. 2Vile is about to fall off the balcony before Lucifer grabs him by the chains on his neck and holds him over the edge. One of the rapper's crew fires a bullet hitting the balcony.

"DON'T SHOOT HIM, YOU IDIOT!" The rapper yells at the man. Dean is watching this happen, but sees no reason to stop it. He doesn't blame Lucifer for getting angry. If it was his friend he'd be mad too. "I didn't kill her."

The devil continues to talk to the terrified rapper. 2Vile tells Lucifer that Delilah had been cheating on him with a married man and that her therapist would know. After the conversation, Lucifer and Dean are about to leave and Chloe and Sam walk in.

"How did you know to come here?" The devil asked the two, although his focus was more on Chloe than Sam.

"We ran the dead guy's cell phone. 2Vile was the last one he called." More accurately, Chloe had the idea to do it and Sam actually did it. Chloe and the rapper talked about the phone call.

Chloe threatened the rapper with an arrest, an arrest that she could not do, but Dan could. And if necessary she would call him.

"That's a waste of time, Detective. I've just threatened his life, he's not our guy - he would've said. Trust me." Lucifer said.

"You did what?" Chloe asked.

"Dean, you didn't try to stop him?" Sam asked his brother.

"Why would I?" Dean shrugged. He hadn't been pretending to be the FBI so he was okay with Lucifer's strategy. Sam and Chloe sighed. The four of them walked out.

"So, what did you learn?" Chloe asked, still not happy with the devil's methods. Dean and Lucifer tell Chloe and Sam about what 2Vile told them.

Sam noticed that Dean didn't seem to be as tense and apprehensive with Lucifer as he was before. He wondered what happened in the past few hours.
